Amazing food and drinks6/2;My family and I have been going to this place for years and have always had a good experience. It had been awhile since we went due to the pandemic so when I was asked where I wanted to go for my birthday I of course wanted to go here. So many things have been taken off the menu. I got a flight and half of the beers were warm. I ordered a burger since I absolutely loved them and got mine with no fried egg when there was supposed to be one. So what i got instead was some sort of chunky salsa, which was not stated on the menu. It has NEVER had salsa. We dont mind paying more for good food but this time we paid a lot for food and wouldve had eaten better at in-n-out. Sadly we will not be going back. I hope the owners read all of these reviews and make appropriate changes.
Been here couple of times. Casual dining, large bar area, friendly staff. Food is good. Pretty noisy.
Good food. Wonderful staff. The beer cheese sauce is quite tasty.
1 star because I cannot leave zero stars. Made reservations for Easter Sunday, even called to verify that restaurant will be open and host said yes. Drove to meet with family and restaurant is closed with no signs even posted
This place used to be amazing! Last year I was pregnant and craving their nachos. Got the food and the chips were burnt, inedible, and everything was just old and soggy. I called to talk to a manager and the manager argued with me that he made my food and if I was on time then it wouldn’t have been cold, and I said it wasn’t cold, it was burnt, and soggy. And he got really heated then said I could come get it redone. When I went he was nice until he found out it was me. He literally made someone else talk to me and disappeared. Today I asked my husband to get the same nachos. This time they didn’t nacho cheese, or creama, and just added random pieces of lettuce on top and some jalapeños…. We will never go there again. Ever. Just seems like they lost their integrity and pride in their food. This used to be our favorite place.
The staff was nice, but they dont have any good vegan options. But if youre vegetarian youre all set
We came into 10 East at 7:27 PM on a Friday night 3/18/22. When we arrived, more than half of the tables were empty and most of those were dirty. We were told that the only available tables were in the bar area, but were sat fairly quickly. We sat at our wobbly table for nearly 10 minutes before anyone came to our table. In that time several people passed without acknowledging us, including some guy who went to the bar, got a beer, and took it to the back of the house. Our server was friendly, when she arrived we gave her our food and drink order then proceeded to wait some more. After about 12 minutes our Moscow mule arrived served in a rocks glass, I’ve never had a mule that was not served in a copper mug and we saw other drinks served in cooper mugs so I’m not sure if the bartender did not know the proper way to serve a mule, or if they did not have a clean copper mug, or if it was even a bartender who actually prepared the drink as at any given point there were up to three people behind the bar, but there did not seem to be a dedicated bartender and at times it was hard to tell who was working and who was just hanging out. At 8:01, over half an hour after having been sat, we were told that our food would be there soon and about 5 minutes later our Fish and Chips and our Train Wreck Burger arrived. The menu stated that the fish and chips were served with caper lemon tartar sauce and malt vinegar. Mine was served with a plastic ramekin of ranch dressing. I asked for Tabaco and vinegar. I was brought Tapatio sauce and tartar sauce and told that they did not have tabasco, though I could clearly see that the couple at the table next to me had a bottle of tabasco sauce. I didn’t care about the hot sauce enough to point that out but I did ask again for my vinegar, I was asked what kind of vinegar I wanted so I replied malt vinegar, the kind that comes with fish and chips, my server then went back to the kitchen and eventually returned with a ramekin of malt vinegar, though I don’t think anything could have saved my food at that point. The battered cod was greasy and soggy I picked up the first piece and it was limp and oily and it fell apart under its own weight. The burger was overcooked and because of that it was dry and tough, the bun was burnt and the overall presentation of the burger was poor. We did not see our server again until we flagged her down to ask for our check. Overall this was a horrible experience. There seemed to be a lack of organization and leadership, no identifiable uniform standard, and a lack of food and service standards. I was baffled that a restaurant would bother to use cloth napkins for table service but put them on wobbly tables, charge $18 dollars for a burger but present it as overcooked slop, take the time to design a good menu but then not execute it, and provide a full bar but not staff it with a competent bartender. I’m not mad that this was such a poor execution of the service as much as I’m mad that it did not have to be. Frankly, the owners and management of 10 East should be ashamed of the food and service they presented this evening.
I originally came for the chicken and waffles, but they were out. I was super bummed because I have been waiting ages to try it. I settled for the 10 East Burger and truffle fries. The service was pretty on point, and the wait for the food wasnt terrible. Overall the burger was delicious and not super greasy. The truffle fries were alright, but I probably wouldnt spring for them again. I was kind of disappointed with the flavor, as I couldnt taste the truffle - but they were delicious. I will definitely return, as I am still anticipating their chicken and waffles I keep hearing about.
I was very disappointed this trip to Turlock. We stop here every time we come to Turlock. Food was ok. Service was horrible. Took awhile to get order taken. Took long time to get our food. Had to ask for a refill on our drinks.
Just to be clear there were 3 of us and we didnt reserve seats but there were clearly tables available and the bar was empty. They said waiting time was 15mins we ended up waiting 45mins hoping we would be seated soon but nothing. It was my first time going here and very disappointed. It wasnt crazy packed. I will give a try again in the future and give an update on how it goes.
Im so mad at myself that ai didnt take nor one picture!🤦♀️ I had such a good time getting to know my new friend. He ordered a burger and fries that looked delicious 😋 and I ordered a chicken sandwich with Parmesan fries. The whole meal was so so good! Reverting was well cooked and we didnt have to wait long about 15 min. Meanwhile he had a beer that was Carmel and other yummy flavors included 10.6% alcohol and I had a strawberry margaritas with brown sugar around the rim. The alcohol content was perfect! We followed with 1 more round of drinks. And last bit bit least the waitress Michelle Berry was amazing! I mean really amazing! Not only was she super friendly and helpful but she had a energy that shows shes loves her job!💗This was my first time coming here, my friend had been here a few times before so he recommended it. The place was so clean! The bathroom was clean too and well stocked. The employees were friendly with each other and helpful with each other! I will definitely come back to this spot! I definitely think my husband would love the burgers 🍔. Amazing job 10 East! The only negative that had nothing to do with the restaurant is the amount of homeless people around the parking lot. I mean alot. And lots of shopping carts. Honestly this made me question leaving my car and unsure of the restaurant. But no homeless bothered me. I got there at 7pm and we stayed till closing. If you wanted to know when I actually arrived. Theres ample parking too and the lights around the trees look beautiful 😍
Were seated and it took about 15 minutes for someone to get drinks and another 10 minutes to get our order. Food was cold, they were out of most of the sodas listed on menu. Food didnt live up to the description on the menu. Never were offered refills on our drinks and turns out it took so long to get our drinks because glasses werent washed. No going back ever.
The food was excellent and cooked the way I asked. My waitress Jova was the best , she always kept checking on me and made me feel like family. I will definitely be back.
I’m still at the restaurant waiting for our order to come out. We ordered at least 45 minutes ago. At least the staff is nice. They’re bringing me up to 2 stars otherwise there’s zero excuse for such a wait. I’ve given up on service in the Central Valley.
Nice visit. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The food was good. I had the fircracker chicken penne pasta. I have to say usually when out they under spice it but this was Caliente! Good stuff. Only downer for me was the attached bar and the 3 guys yelling watching the foot all game. Not my idea of dinner ambience.
Very disappointed in the quality of service and food. This used to be a great place but wont be returning anytime soon.We were seated at 6:00pm. After 15 mins we finally got some water. After ordering the food arrived 45 min later with most of it being cold. One burger was so cold we asked to send it back and redone. The server happily agreed to take it back. 15 min later we had a new slightly warmer burger.
Great experience, I was able to get my dish made vegetarian. Kids are always happy, and the service is very nice.. we love to sit on the train
New ownership is horrible. My family used to love this place but we went tonight and left after being told that they turned the burners off and only salads and appetizers were available because it was one hour before closing. No wonder they never have any customers.
What a disappointment... We ended up not ordering and walking out. The beer/tap menu lacked variety. They took a lot of great entrees and appetizers off. The bar top looks nice, but definitely not a fan of the rest of the decor. What used to be a great restaurant/pub, is now a cheap cafe... If thats what theyre going for. I used to bring customers because of the great entrees and fun unique pub atmosphere... Nope! We wont be coming here! The new ownership did not do this place justice. How sad, because this used to be a great gem.
Its a good selection of beer but it was served warmer than it should have been and its $9 for a 16 oz pour. I had a mushroom Burger, The mushrooms were quite tasty but the Burger itself was tasteless and completely unseasoned. The Burger and 2 bears I had was $36. Its quite pricey for what you got.
Took forever to get my food. By the time I got it my burger was cold. I canceled my appetizers because that took long to get. I asked for another drink never got it. And when I asked for to go boxes those never came. So left all the food there due to waiting so long. I loved coming to this place. But this will be my last.
We really wanted this place to be good, instead it’s been the completely deflating experience that eating in most of the Central Valley has been.We were sat at 6pm. I only know this because I checked a time stamp on my phone, not because I went in timing them from the get. We had sat for a while without our drink order even being taken, and was pretty surprised when I saw it was 6:18. Almost 20 minutes and not even water had been brought, much less an order taken. It didn’t look busy in there with an empty patio and about 3/4 of the tiny indoor seating taken, but I think there’s an upstairs. I’ll reserve judgement since I just don’t know that info. Either way, we see the server casually walking around, organizing her book, talking to co-workers, when I finally call to her and ask if she’s ready to take our orders. After that, the drinks came quickly. Thank goodness because I was starving at that point and have a hungry child. The sugar helped for the additional wait for food. It would be another 30 minutes for that, and our appetizer came out at the same time as the meals. Isn’t the point of the appetizer to be while we wait on the main? While waiting for food, that table sat behind us just walked out instead of continuing to wait to order. I wish we followed suit.We got the nacho appetizer, it was ok. Thankfully they didn’t ruin the chips with too much lime. My husband got a chicken sandwich, the pico was forgotten but at that point we just want to eat. I got the fish and chips and.. wow. That was terrible. First, is the “house-made tarter” really just premade tarter with Wasabi powder added? Because it would have been great to know it wasn’t just normal tarter, it was terrible. The lemon-caper tarter was identified on the menu, I feel like wasabi should have definitely been listed for this. Either way, wasabi tarter…. With malt vinegar? Why? The fry oil was OLD and really needs to be changed out. The fish itself was like rubber. My son got the chicken strips. His had the same bad fry oil but he’s a kid and can’t tell, so he was content. The server brought us our bill before we had finished eating, without ever refilling drinks or asking about Desert. It’s sort of moot at this point because we did truly just want to leave. We won’t be back. It’s a bummer because we were really looking forward to this place, especially because the variety of beers.
I have to change from 5 stars to 2 being generous. They took a lot of good plates off the menu but the biggest issue is the kitchen. It is always slow. Last few times we went it was supposed to be "20 minutes" til food was out. 20 turns to 30, 30 to 40, and this last time an entire hour just for them to say that they dont actually have what we ordered. Service has gone down and I dont know if its understaffed or just incompetence. And it never matters if its busy or not. We waited 40 minutes once when there were only 2 tables and we were 1 of them. Food has also gone downhill while getting more expensive. It doesnt help that weve gotten giftcards that were never actually loaded with the money that was supposed to be there. The previous owners knew how to run a restaurant and it was hands down one of the best food and service wise.
Inedible. Purchased the Thai noodle salad and the simple salad, both $14 each. The Thai noodle salad was overcooked noodles in a bland sauce with a few shredded pieces of carrot, and dry old chicken. The simple salad is wilted mixed greens with some old blue cheese and stale candied walnuts. The salad dressing is one note, with no depth of flavor.I threw both dishes in the trash. This is not the first time that I have been disappointed by 10 East kitchen, but it definitely is the last.It seems like this place depends on its location and history to keep it going and pays no attention to the quality of the food. I do not recommend.
Incredible pizza. Incredible vibe/feel. I love the servers. Great location by the way. Outdoors or indoors its a great experience.Oh....the beer... the Apple flavored beer.... OMG... On a hot day or a cool afternoon.... Bus Stop close by.
Always great! Took my parents and my 3 year old niece for lunch. We were happy. The staff is always amazing. Food is good. A train went by, which was very exciting for my niece. Moms already talking about going back without kids! Well see you soon! 🍻
On a Wednesday night about 7:20 pm, this place was not busy. We both had a 10 East Burger. They were yummy! I had mine with the fried egg and my husband opted to go without. The lettuce used is spring mix - a nice upgrade from iceberg (although I do like iceberg). I didnt think the truffle fries didnt taste much different from regular fries but my husband said the chili lime fries were flavorful. We werent hungry enough for appetizers but I would like to try the yam puffs.
Ive been coming here for years, since they opened, used to be my favorite restaurant and their food is getting a little better, since they went downhill, but their truffle fries are no longer truffle fries, youll pay 1.5 extra for their regular parmesan fries. That was another highlight we used to enjoy! Waiting an hour before you eat (after waiting to get seatedis always expected and we know that. Doesnt matter when you come 😁 Order being wrong... hit and miss.
Great food . Pizzas are so delicious
Went In about 930 pm on a Saturday, great service and food came out quickly!
Great time. Good atmosphere. Pretty good food. One burger had a bread tie in it (otherwise would give 4 starsOther than that it was pretty great!
I really enjoyed the "Beast of Bourbon" burger. It was so flavorful and juicy! The grind of the meat was just right so the patty melted in your mouth. I also really enjoyed the yam tater tots. Those things are awesome! My wife absolutely loved the grilled chicken sandwich. She raved about it.Our server was Anthony. He was very pleasant and very attentive. Having such a great server moved the needle on this experience from great to awesome.I am looking forward to dining there again in the future.
The menu looks amazing. The restaurant itself looks great. I understand that they cook most everything from scratch. But our meal took over an hour to come out. Burger, sandwich, fish & chips. Was cold and soggy. Waitress was polite . Dont think well give it another try.
While I appreciate that food made from scratch will take a bit longer. Nothing that we ordered should have taken an hour. It was apparent that our food had been sitting under the warmer for some time as my truffle fries were soggy and limp. The plate was hotter than my food and my sons first and chips was soft instead of crunchy. The food tasted good but honestly the only reason we ate was because it was 8p by the time it came and the kids wre starving. Our waitress was nice and polite but service was slow and inattentive.
We were first timers and totally loved the vibe on the inside. However the weather was so nice we couldnt resist the patio! But the inside is very cozy but roomy. A large bar and private seating that is very warm and inviting. And the same could be said for the staff. Great service friendly and prompt. The drink menu is excellent beers on tap in paticular!!! Scrumptious food offerings and specials to fit most budgets and appetites alike. We will definitely frequent this place on date night after spending our 16th anniversary here😊
The food was very tasty here, but the highlight for me was the fishbowl-sized cocktails. Besides being delicious, they were a very reasonable price to split. The waitresses were very nice and friendly, and the overall service was very quick and accommodating.
This is such a fun place to eat! If you get the opportunity you have to eat in these side cart. It is such a fun experience. The food is all very delicious and the staff is extremely nice and will go above and beyond to make your experience a good one. They have quite a few beers on tap and let me taste 2 or 3 before I made a decision and actually purchased one the last time I was there. They are a family friendly environment but I have seen it get louder and a bit too rowdy past 8:30 p.m.
This place has changed owners and unfortunately it has declined. Overall you will get good food here, its the great beer selection that has gone down hill. They have a rotating list but everytime weve been at least three beers that we want are out. They also dont really make it easy to order flights. I guess their focus isnt on their 30 taps of beer.
It has been awhile since we ate here. I have liked the food here in the past, but today was horrible. We waited around 40 + minutes for an order of nachos. It would have been longer, but my husband had asked the waitress about our nachos. When we got our $10 nachos it was like ten tortilla chips in a bowl covered by cheese sauce that had separated. On top of this was approximately 1/4 of a cup of pulled pork and lettuce. This is not nachos. No one should be served this ever. The beer was good.
It is a cute place, servers are nice, and food is good. I would give more stars, but the food is slow to come out. It took 30 minutes for my hamburger and fries to arrive. My server said they had other orders they were working on. Even so, it shouldnt take 30 minutes to cook a hamburger. Overall, food is good as long as you dont mind the wait.
Average food at a high price. Waited 45 min to sit and there was an abundance of space available. It took 30 min to get drinks after we were seated. It took an hour to get our food. There was an automatic gratuity charge so there was less than average service.
The service was nice and friendly, and the food tasted good. However, the restaurant was empty except for 2 other guests, yet it still it took an hour to get our food. We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, chicken pizza, and fish n chips. The portions seemed a bit small but to their credit it was plated aesthetically pleasing. For dessert I ordered the lava cake. Traditionally lava cake is served with a warm chocolate cake and fudge with cold ice cream, however the chocolate cake and fudge was served cold, as if it came directly from a refrigerator and never got heated up. All in all not quite worth over $50.
Great beers always rotating on tap and the food is great! The pulled pork nachos and pizza are great.
Used to be great, now just okay at best. Have been to this place countless times, and the last three visits have been relative disappointments. Service is now VERY slow, even when they are not busy on a week night. Drinks are no longer consistent. Food portion size appears to have decreased while price hasn’t. Made sense when I heard at the last visit that they have new owners. Oh well...was fun while it lasted. Table 26 across town is a much better, more consistent option than 10 east
Great beer and wine selection! They always have rotating taps and some special releases. The food is wonderful. They have everything you can think of. The burgers are a must have! Usually pretty crowded Friday and Saturday night so make a reservation!
Love this place.... if I am ever in Turlock again I will definitely return. Great out of this world Burgers and a large selection of amazing beers. MY meal was awesome, it they also had great pizzas.
3rd time here and not as fond of the experience. Food was wonderful, although they were out of our favorite appetizer as well as a special add-on listed on the menu. Nothing frustrates me more than a restaurant not having something thats on the menu. Its your menu, after all. I didnt make it up... Service was fantastic and our waitress did all she could to make up for the selections they were out of, our food coming out at different times and our bill being wrong. Great lively ambiance here. Just seemed like whoever was running the kitchen was not on their game, forcing the server to provide cover she should not have had to provide.
Very awesome atmosphere. Good food and beers. Good sweet potato tots. You can eat on an old train that has been completly redone. When you leave there are train tracks which are working and a train will run so be carefull.
Awesome food, awesome booze, first time going and theyve got me for life. People that work there are great and are allowed to have fun which adds a whole other level to the place.
Great Beer selection all the time. Rotating breweries gives you something new to try. 10 east burger is a must have with the sweet potato tots.
