Best service Ive ever experienced. Ive shopped with them for years. Even if I dont buy my bike frame from them still treat me well then I buy all my components from them.

Wow! Amazing selection of bikes, skis, and outdoor equipment. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Showed us a variety of bikes. Answered a lot of questions. Very welcoming and spent personal time with us. Looks like a repair shop in house. Get you fitted and set up with skis. Clothing plus anything else you might need to hit the beautiful mountain trails. You get what you pay for = quality. Definitely recommend this shop!

A business who backs their products! I purchased a floor pump from 2nd Ave Sports. I was having trouble with the valve fittings. I brought it back to see if the mechanics could figure it out. After trying, , one nice mechanic handed me a floor model. “Here! Take this one. It works. I absolutely love this place !!! Steve Riggle and his staff do an amazing job ! Today I visited the store after completing the Colorado Trail on my MTN Bike. I wanted to reward myself with some new clothing, and they had an amazing array to choose from. I highly recommend you visit while in Durango!

Liked the fast service but $40 for less than 10 mins of work is obscene, that’s over $200 an hour! I’d like to support a local business but not one that gouges customers. Last time for me.UPDATE: The brake pads lasted 4 months, and less than 500 miles.

Sold me a bike that was missing parts. And when i ask for help would not be helpful unlest after i bought something. Sold me the wrong foot pedal also

bad service and overpriced. Im surprised any locals shop here. there are other far better bike shops in town. the employees here are consistently rude and condescending and the pricing in the shop and their tactics to try and rope you in to buy things you dont need is despicable. its clear they take advantage of tourists renting bikes and anyone else who is new to bikes by selling overpriced gear, most of which isnt necessary. if youre looking for bike shops in Durango, 2nd Ave sports shouldnt even count. Go somewhere else.

My wife and I did not own mountain bikes until this weekend. I went into 2nd Ave Sports knowing exactly what I thought I wanted. The people who work at this amazing shop took a great deal of time to educate us on what features and benefits of the different bikes would be the best for us. We never felt pressured to buy any specific bike, but were given options and advice to help guide our decision. We were able to test ride several makes and models. We ended up buying something completely different, and couldnt be happier! We will definitely do business here again. Thank you for creating an environment that doesnt feel overwhelming to someone who is new to the sport!!

I had the best experience at 2nd Ave sports. It was my first time in Durango and I’m a novice mountain biker. They set me and my wife up, and they were exceptionally nice and professional every time we went in there over the course of two days. The bikes we rented were also of great quality. This is the place to go in Durango!

Great service! Had an issue with a rental and they had me up and back on the trail in no time. Everyone there was awesome and helpful. I live out of state, but still purchasing my next bike from them.

Completely ripped us off. Charged us $80 for something my husband could’ve done in 10 minutes. it’s dirty to take advantage of people who are out of town and away from their tools.They also returned the bike to us with more problems that we then had to fix when we got back to our campsite (thankfully, we had the tools with us for that).

My family and friends were in town for a week and we are avid mountain bikers so naturally we wanted to try some local trails. We went into the shop to rent my wife a bike and we were instantly greeted by the most friendly and professional people you could ask for. Not only did they get her setup perfect for the ride but they also provided us with good recommendations for different trails to try and then where to eat after the ride. We hung out in the shop after the ride for about 45 minutes which in turn had us spending money there. I look forward to the next time we are in town and can visit the shop. The guys working there are definitely an asset and great people.

Huge shop and cool employees. Only went in for a part. Was very packed and had to go elsewhere for a tune up because i couldnt wait 3 days.

I’m a regular customer. I bought a $4,000 bike here last season. I was accosted today for using the parking as a quick trip to pickup a takeout order. The place closes at 5 and the owner told me I’mFine with parking there after 5. I am a CUSTOMER parking in CUSTOMER PARKING. Do not approach and accost me after spending thousands of $$$ at your store I keep your shop running. 🙄

I needed a new SRAM GX 12 speed chain and they had it in stock... new chain is installed and Im having fun riding.

Great customer service!! I needed a skewer, they found one put it on, pumped up my tires, put on a rack all in five minutes. They also helped me find a rack, and a panier for my bike. Great experience.

So this place is great 👍. We are here on spring break along with everyone else and we were having trouble finding ski rentals. We gave them a call and even though there was only ten minutes until close, they stayed a little late to get us the rentals we needed and did it with a smile. If you need rentals or if you are going to purchase, this is the place to go.

2nd Ave Sports offers the entire experience; their team is knowledgeable, respectful, prompt, and attentive to the wants and needs of their customers and they carry all the brands and equipment that the people are looking for!!! They have always been there for us, whether it’s rentals, new equipment, broken ski repairs, last minute waxes for competitions, or even advice on navigating the industry. Our 2nd year getting a season snowboard package for our son and we will keep coming back. The staff always makes him feel special and educates him too. Also mom & dad got bikes! Really nice bikes and staff is always so helpful and knowledgeable. Always a great experience. Oh and yes! I look fabulous in my new hat too

Mark is an incredibly talented and kind boot fitter. I walked in with a DIY mess of an at-home fitting and he was so gentle and patient - an experience that I have found rare in the ski world, and especially from men. I walked in a hot mess, and walked out ready to get rad. I am beyond grateful.

When my husband visited your store, he was so excited to see the variety of brands you carried. We were on vacation at the time and one of the items he purchased needed to be exchanged 5 months later, your entire staff was professional and curious with the follow-through customers want to experience. The mechanics at 2nd Ave Sports are the best. They always explain how the parts of my bike work (or arent workingand tell me about all the options to address whatever the issue is. I always learn something in the process. And I love how all their work is checked by at least two mechanics. Highly recommended!

I have been looking for a special bike for my wife for a year, and of course everything is sold out and not due in for a year. But the inventory here is so deep that they had exactly what I was hoping for. The service and sales staff are even better than the bikes. My favorite bike shop by far, and Ive been all over the country.

Incredible bike shop! Stopped here when I had a technical failure during a bikepacking trip on the CT. Despite it being closing time, they stayed late to help me out and get me back on the trail! I wish I could give them more stars!

Best bike shop in town. Great location, beautiful store, wonderful people, super product. Always enjoy shopping here when we’re in town but today really gave me a reason to leave a review (not much of a reviewer I am). Rolling through on an extended stay and bike brakes went kaput. Two other shops of no help, one no parts, the other just seemed to not want to bother. 2nd Avenue Sports to the rescue! Parts on hand, less than a day turn around. Vacation saved! Thanks 2nd Ave! I bought a bike here and the salesman was great. He was informative and low pressure. He gave me the information I needed to choose the bike that was right for me. The mechanics there are super detail oriented and I can fully trust my bike is ready to after they work on it. I have been using them for 6+ years and never had a bad experience.
