I just spent $4,000 to fix my transmission and when they gave it back they wired it wrong and it was causing shorts and electrical fire which I had to fix elsewhere! And to add insult to injury the traction light is still on which was the initial problem I dropped my truck off to fix.

Reliable and honest. I had an issue with my car and they checked and advised in professional way. Jesus the mechanic he explained things and advised. He was helpful. I will recommend to use this shop.

First I would like to thank Anthony, Jesus and the team. I went in for a transmission overheating job and they were professional and attentive to the issue which I came there for unlike the Jeep dealership service department located in the Bronx that I originally took the car to. Aamco did an outstanding job and better customer service than I could have expected. Finally I strongly recommend that if your car has any mechanical issues, the guys at Aamco on Gun Hill Road in the Bronx are the ones to go to.

Initially I made a poor reveiw about aamco. I can admit I rush to conclusions, after talking to owner. He cleared up the misunderstoodment. Took care of my car. Picking it up tomorrow.taking care of the issue it was having immediately . Will keep you updated when I get it back.

Pt. 2/From a Sunday night phone call from the owner of that location & offering to have a tow for me if needed. To offering to help clean up the oil spill in my garage, business was taken care of. The problem was explained to me & pointed out. Sometimes its not just the issue, but the solution too it . Its a business & they took care of business. As one can see, clearly, not a drop! Im thankful & have no problem in returning there if needed. So for something that started out not looking very well ,turned out looking as good as the last photo! BEWARE OF THIS HORRIBLE SHOP !!!!THE WAITING AREA IS NASTY WITH COCKAROACHES RUNNING EVERYWHERE AND PARTS LAYING ALL OVER THE FLOOR THAT PEOPLE TRIP OVER !! I BROUGHT MY CAR FOR TRANSMISSION SERVICE ENDED UP GETTING MY VEHICLE BACK NOT FIXED PROPERLY AND HAD TO BRING IT TO A REAL TRANSMISSION SHOP !!AND ALSO THEY RECEIVED A PARKING TICKET ON MY CAR AND NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT IT & THEY NEVER PAID IT SO I HAD TO PAY THE TICKET PLUS THE LATE FEES !!!BUT THE SHOP IS FILLED WITH CUSTOMERS CARS HALF FINISHED AND EMPLOYEES TALKING ON THIER PHONES WHAT A DISGRACE !!

Considering they were referred by another shop I expected them to be good but I believe they went above and beyond. They were not only professional and polite over the phone they followed through when I walked into the office. They made calls to make sure I was covered under warranty and then directed me on how to proceed. This was my first time utilizing this company but it will not be the last.

Im sure the intention was good, with such an expert history you would expect their service to be outstanding well👎🏼👎I took my vehicle for diagnostic and was told two to three hours well I waited giving a 4th hour and guess what nothing was done at all. Thanks for parking my car so I did not get ticketed for double parking. I will not return and I was referred by someone who dealt with them for more then 10years it did not matter the service was poor.

Jesus and his people did great work and was very fair with the pricing. He made everything easy and I will be going back for anything else. If youre looking for a good mechanic I recommend this AAMCO location

I called and explained my problem to dejesus. He told me to bring my car in. I did and after I arrived I filled out the paper work and he told me it would be a couple of hrs to get my car in I said ok and they said no waiting allowed. I left my car at 11am I called at 4 at which dejesus told me he has one more car ahead of me and that he will let me know. I seen the time getting late so I decided to come back to the shop at which I arrived at 5 pm. At 530 they told me my car could not be seen today a complete waste of my day and time this shop is very unprofessional and their liars. In a way I’m happy they didn’t touch my car. I definitely do not recommend this shop at all worse of the worst

Best car shop in New York and a famous AAMCO across the country. They always take great care of your car and you. Never had an issue with my car they couldn’t solve. They’re also all good people so it’s the perfect friendly neighborhood car shop.

Jesus is a godsend always. Everyone else there is just as awesome and im happy with the service at all times.

I had a wonderful experience . I had to get my transmission fixed and that is scary but I felt like they wanted to help and really troed with financing. Also communication was great they kept me up to date with what was happening. I never felt like a bother .My car is running great and i will continue to take my Nisson there.

Very torn at the moment...Having your car broken into will do that to you...Well, the work done on my car was so far from what I can tell after about just a few hours with it on the road since I got it back last night, Transmission Rebuild is great, front axel replacements stiffer control which is much welcomed. My only issue is that since they put my car on the street for the 3 weeks it was in their possession, my passenger side rear window was broken and things stolen out of the vehicle that were in the back tucked behind a third row rear seat under the seat, so that means that someone had more than enough time to rifle through the vehicle till they found something worth stealing. Which was a Video game console, some car accessories, and the most valuable thing, things with my personal identification on them. Now AAMCO made the effort to cover up the break-in by replacing the window, but who ever cleaned it out left evidence of the smash by leaving shattered glass in the car. That is the only way I would have known that the bag I told them was missing from my car before I left was removed if it wasnt by any of them, and they said they would look into it. So if you are going to leave your car for more than a few days, make sure you do not leave anything, not one shred of paper in your car since they leave your car on the street for anyone to break into it. But the actual work they performed was so far, excellent. Just be mindful that your car may get broken into, or worse stolen.

We all know how easy it is to be taken advantage of by people/businesses that provide any kind of service, that we ourselves cannot. The guys at Amaco not only didnt scam me, they worked fast and let me know all the work before it was done. I would HIGHLY recommend!!!!

I’m keep it short and straight to the point. I came into these guys because of a water pump leak and was told I needed to change my entire water pump which I did and paid $2500 for. Throughout the fixing of my car I was told the timing belt would be changed. I got my car back after about a little over a week. I had a check engine light that came on and took it to another mechanic to get the car diagnosed when I was informed my crankshaft and cam shaft sensors needed to be replaced upon the mechanic fixing the issue i was asked when my timing belt was last charge and I told them in October of 2020. They told me my timing belt was never changed and it should have been changed when the water pump was put in. I called Anthony the owner and explained the situation and he pretty much denied that he told me a timing belt would be put in the car and pretty much was covering up the fact that they didn’t fulfill the job they were paid $2500 for. I would say to anyone take your car to a place where you actually getting what you paid for. They got my money and didn’t fix the problem. I’m truly disappointed and upset and will not use their service in the future.

Simply great quality and dedicational work. Jesus is the best! Wouldnt trust anyone else other then the guys from AAMCO on this specific location. Plus amazing customer service.

This place is ridiculous, a complete waste of time! I specifically asked how long it would take for an (overpricedoil change and brake pads/rotors and I was told and hour and a half. After 3 hours of waiting I asked how much longer it would take and I get not answer. When I finally say that I need to leave that’s when I was told there was a delay in getting the parts. I received no service after all that time and was never advised that there was a delay. If you value your time stay away from this place.

I love this place. They always do good. If you go ask for Jesus. My car was fixed in a great timely manner and the problem never occurred again.

Once again I entrusted AAMCO with my yearly inspection and I am greeted with such professionalism and friendliness. They explain every step of the inspection to me so I am aware of everything with my car and even offer tips on different parts of the car that may need attention later. It means a lot to have professional mechanics not only inspect my car, but to include me in the process so I can also be aware of any part of my car that may need attention. When I go to AAMCO, I know that I am being taking cared of with the upmost care. I highly recommend this location if you would like service that you can trust.

This place is the best thing i have ever done with my car. I have huge trust issues with mechanics but i felt like i was home the minute i walked into the place. Steph, the mechanic (with the luxurious pony tailthat worked on my car did a great job at putting all my worries to bed. Steph is the most honest and upfront mechanic ive ever encountered. Jesus was great at working with my finances and getting me approved! Damari at the front desk was nothing short of wonderful. She answered each and every question i had with with absolute ceranty. I absolutely love this place!! I will be a loyal customer from now on!

So I went into Aamco on Gunhill in da Bx and everyone was tentative ready to assist but more importantly willing to listen then ask questions. I didn’t get his name but the gentleman with blond ponytail sat with me and explained all my options. Really kool cat and knowledgeable at his craft. Nothing showed up on my diagnostic but if I ever need anything pertaining to mechanical issues that they can service they will have my business. Anthony was very friendly and professional. I was on my way out of state when my transmission started to give trouble. I went to 2 other mechanics who diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote without even looking at the car. When I arrived at Anthony’s shop, he said he couldn’t give me a quote without first looking at the vehicle. I really appreciated that and had already made up my mind to use his service just based on that alone. I was really impressed. After he looked at it he diagnosed the problem, gave me a quote and then let me know the best and worst case scenario. I got the car back as promised. He called me several times to keep me updated on the progress and even found a serious safety issue that I had to fix. The previous mechanic had put two left brake calipers on instead of a left and right. He also recommended services I would need in the near future. I would highly recommend this mechanic shop to anyone and use them again in the future.

Honestly I went to many mechanics and Ammaco was the best place. My cars major issue was the transmission. They test drove my car, something the other places I went to never did. They told me the issues, gave me a price, and my car was ready 2 days later with no issues. Best service ever!! & they told me to come back for a check up, at no cost !! Best company. Wouldn’t recommend it, waited there a while just to ask about an oil change. Also, their oil change is pricy compared to Valvoline and they said it would not be able to be done today. Go other places

The AC was fixed. I have two brand new scratches on my car, rear door drivers side. He has to check his cameras. Course he wont admit to it. I know my car is old but one thing my car does not have is scratches on it...til now.⚡⚡Hers the new tea. Mr.Anthony called. He will fix the scratches to paint the car door but it takes 2 days. So no car for 2 days in the the summer......standby.Today I was refunded the cost of the AC tune up since the car will be painted anyway. Judah is still running, thats the goal and a good agreement was reached.Overall, Ill be back . Satisfied.Thanks Mr Anthony youre 😎

Anthony fixed my ford focus and it became superb. Customer service was on point despite being short staffed. I had issues with the clutch and was fixed. Payment plans were a Godsend. I am grateful. I highly recommend this place. Just note, you might have to wait two days to a week to get it fixed just right if theyre short staffed.

Went here cause my car had low transmission fluid and figured it needed a transmission fluid change. I arrived on time for my appointment,I noticed from walking in the terrible service from their manager. I needed a mask, he made sure to rub the mask thoroughly before handing me it. I guess making sure it’s real. Then told me I had to wait 4 hours to get seen. I told them that’s too long , he then told me I’d have to wait a hour and they’ll tell me what’s going on. I came back on time to wait another almost 90min because they couldn’t find my keys or paperwork to be told I was giving a diagnosis of my car and was told I couldn’t get a transmission fluid change because they don’t fix the problems of the codes. Which made no sense. So i left and went to Bruckner Blvd and brown place and got serviced. I would honestly rate this place -5 stars if I could. Good luck ps. This is my first review ever

Very honest and down to earth people and do the job right. I own a stick shift Audi that needed a clutch done back in June of 2020 and Ive had 0 issues since then with my clutch replacement true appreciate the staffing there Anthony took care of all my cars issues at a reasonable price. 5 stars I highly recommend!

My first time there....I called about my transmission giving out....it was closing, told them I would have my car towed the next day to them. They were waiting for me. They are professional and quite friendly. Anthony is a gem, he helped me get financing and I can not be more happy with the services . I have recommended them to all my friends and family. I go here because of bad customer care and bad experience in the Yonkers location. I was seeking to do an oil change on my Cadillac in which needs an oil change (asapand also was a quarter less, Instead, the person on that location send me 15 miles away from Yonkers to the Bronx location. I call Anthony (managerto explain the situation that was giving me such anxiety and stress.Anthony help me professionally and very helpful matter,(no worries or hassle waiting for me, at my arrival I feel protected because he has given me confidence on the matter.All personal here are very respectful and kind.I will consider recommending this place to anyone. After receiving an expensive repair bill from Pep Boys, the mechanics at Aamco definitely came to my aid. They explained everything to me and even showed me my car battery that needed to be changed. I even returned for my yearly inspection. I want to make sure that my car is safe for me and my family and I know I can drive with relief to know that the mechanics at Aamco took great care of my car and ensured it’s safety. I highly recommend everyone to go there, they are so nice and so welcoming.

I came here about three weeks ago after reading some positive reviews. My transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. After being quoted a ridiculous amount at a Subaru dealership, I came here for a second opinion. I was seen the same day that I called. No appointment was required and was seen promptly at no extra charge. The team was welcoming and friendly. Anthony was honest about the issue, offered some options and made a recommendation that best suited my cars needs. I was charged half of what I wouldve paid elsewhere. I received my car within a week and my Subie is now running smoothly. They also offer car inspections and other services. I recommend this AAMCO location for their honesty, excellent customer service and fair prices. I will be coming here for all future car maintenance.

I have been going to AAMCO on Gun Hill for several years, and have referred people to them. They are the best!! Whenever there was an issue with my car or my mothers car who travels from Alabama to NY frequently they handle it no problem. Theyre the best at what they do, thats why I always come back to them. Honest, Caring, Compassionate, and they treat me as family... I love them.... GREAT JOB!!!

I needed a major and expensive engine overhaul and after checking around I didnt know who to trust to do the job right. So I bought my Jeep here for a 2nd opinion. Kier the manager was very honest, professional and upfront about what needed to be done and what my options were..Their prices were fair and they were able to give me a much better engine job with a much better warranty than I would have gotten at the other shops I checked. Not only that but they helped me get financing for the repair. The owner Anthony kept me updated with the progress and gave me a good deal on some other work that I needed done. Anthony personally made sure that I got my Jeep back as good as new. I could tell he stands behind his work. in the end I was very satisfied with the work they did and they have earned my future business. I highly recommend this shop.

The service was friendly the receptionist was direct and to-the-point the ability to do good work is there but the sad part is that they seem to be more driven buybeing excessively compensated for simple work I felt they exaggerated issues to justify cost. the first repair was for the gas pump the second repair was for the gas tank hose I had to pay for both repairs 😣.
