My experience is with the billing department! Due to lack of them doing their job and standing by their word, they turned me over to a lawyer, even after making 5 consistant monthly payments!! Absolutely no regard for people!I hope I never have to use their services again!
Ive had excellent care at the ER and so has my husband. My issue is with the Handicap parking and the accessibility to the rehab center. Why go to all the trouble of building a wonderful rehab facility with a pool if handicap or people who need it, have trouble gaining entrance to it. If you have difficulty walking, this isnt the place for you!! Ive been told on numerous occasions that they will wheel you in a wheelchair if needed, but this hasnt been my personal experience.
During a emergency situation with my son, he was taken to Lincoln Memorial. I would like to personally thank Nurse Brooks(the nurse that was also with him-I am sorry I didn’t remember her name), Ed the security officer,Nurse JD, and the Tech(I didn’t catch her name either). I can’t express enough how grateful I am for yourkindness and how you treated my son and me. I also was able to witness how the staff treated other patients. They are amazing people and I would recommend this hospital. Thank you all!!
Beautiful grounds and clean building, conveniently located just off Lincoln Parkway and Historic Route 66. The lobby is very bright with lots of sunlight from the glass front. There is a nice gift shop area as you enter and helpful staff to greet you. Two elevators available to the right. Plenty of parking out front and handicapped accessible.
A few months ago I had 3 visits that were absolutely terrible. Today, Nurse Roger and P.A. Andrew changed my mind completely. Both of them were extremely professional, funny, caring and down to earth. Seeing Im a fast paced person they moved right with me, doing their job accordingly but making sure I was content the entire time. It felt good coming to memorial in Lincoln today. Thank you Andrew and Roger!
I was seen at this Hospital on 3/25 by a nurse named Jenny and a Dr. Cooper neither would give me full names I was mistreated here and felt like nobody cared about the traumatic experiences I spoke to them about they also refused to give me medicine as well as ripped a IV out of my arm causing discomfort many hours later from my departure I will never go back they are very un professional and rude my arm was bleeding alot after the IV and they didnt even care and when I told them about my discomfort they seemed to show no care even as I was bleeding avoid this place at all cost you might just leave in a worst health as I did they just showed me out the door with no care. I had to go back the next day and the experience was even worst this place has given me ptsd to go to hospitals I had a panic attack in a hospital yesterday because of my experiences here. I will need a lawyer since the police refused to let me report them for missstreat meant. This Hospital had given me a phobia of hospitals due to my treatment.
Great doctors they saved my brothers hand
Dr Demont released my son to go home , 5 minutes after arriving home he ran away and was found on a country road could of been killed.... Horrible hospital drive elsewhere! BEWARE
Loved my birthing experience at the hospital, and would recommend to anyone. The emergency room was somewhere I will NEVER go again or take my child to. I would give zero stars if possible JUST because of the experiences I have had.
A+++++
For anyone expecting their first child I highly recommend Dr. Green and the staff here at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. They treated me with the most kindness and sensitivity. I even had asked them not to allow certain people into my room and they did. It was very nice, they also have wonderful nurses in the birthing wing. But I will say the ER is a little different. While they do their job, they will judge you for your choices of certain things and talk about it right around the corner... Like I can still hear you!
Dont use them, they couldnt even get a covid test done for me. I called them on a wednesday to schedule it.The lady told me that the hospial would be in contact with me in the next few days. They did not call me. I went down there three days before my surgery and was transfered five times to different people. Not once did they offer to do the test. I was told I did not follow their protocol. The last woman I talked to wanted t o keep interupting me . Canelled all of my appointment and will reschedule with a better hospitol that knows what they are doing.
First I will start that I grew up in Lincoln and try give our little town the benefit of the doubt and this review is hard for me to write because of that reason. Very high level on the visit. Multiple hour wait to be seen by anyone. Then advised person not available to assist with needs and longer wait for someone to arrive. Then told would take up to a few hours for someone outside the hospital to review results. Called the hospital to try to get info and first nurse hung up intentionally after a very short conversation that was unhelpful and having a very bad attitude. Called back and second nurse was much more helpful and understanding of the situation. I would give her 5 stars if I could. Then the bill comes. Seemed rather high for what took place and after speaking with our insurance company was advised that a portion of the bill was denied because the hospital did not provide the proper info. Insurance requested the additional info before they could approve. So as opposed to providing the proper info to insurance before billing us, they just billed us for the full amount. Had I not called my insurance and paid the bill, we would have been out of pocket double what we should have been which as $100s already. Appears unlikely we ever would have received a credit for the over payment based on the info I received at this point. I was also informed the hospital would not put a hold on the portion in question and that we may get calls from collections if it remains unpaid. Clearly not acting as an advocate for their customers so i recommend double checking what you get billed!!With the exception of the one nurse I spoke with, this was a very poor experience from start to finish. Expected more from our hometown hospital and disappointed in the ER experience and billing practices.
The doctors told me Im suppose to have a gynecologist check up BEFORE I get my birth control put in... so why did they still put it in??? Now theyve canceled the appointment twice (both times last minute), and now I have to wait till June. (Even though I think the birth control isnt mixing well with my body). So thats almost a year waiting, even though they shouldnt have put it in until I had the check up...Sounds like a lawsuit if something ends up wrong with me😡😡😡
First, I wish everyone health and well-being. My chest suffered pain in my chest and I entered this hospital by accident. I do not say that it was intense interest in me that I felt I entered Paradise. Thank you to all the medical staff and doctors. There is interest, and the most amazing. Thank you with all my heart ... Noor, the truck driver
Do not go here! If youre dying, you better pray you have 45 minutes to get somewhere else. My husband went to the E.R. with dehydration due to diarrhea and vomiting for 48 hours. All he needed was a couple bags of IV fluids. They refused to give him a glass of water and he never recieved fluids. They did an EKG, CT scan, bloodwork and a urine test. All unnecessary testing. The "dr." Said he had acid reflux and prescribed zantac. Which we have at home. The level of incompetence is astounding.
Terrible place to go lazy rude RNS texting on their phones while we waited hours for paperwork, advice dont bring your child here unless absolutely necessary
Had my mom at the ER couldnt get any help to get her to go to the bathroom on a porta potty. Paged for help someone said they would be in. They never did. I had to help her off the gurney on to the portable potty chair trying not to dislodge her IV by myself. Sent her to Springfield once the decision was made to send her it was like they lost interest in her
Outstanding professional service by the entire workforce. I am so thankful for everyone’s dedication and professionalism. GREAT HOSPITAL!!!
Very clean and very good staff never had a complaint from me always great care and the people who work there are very nice and make u feel comfortable no matter what the situation lincoln is lucky to have such a great hospital for the community hate the doctor but if u have to go u have to go and this and springfield are probably the best around here in my opinion
The worst hospital Ive ever received care from, multiple times. Unfortunately, this is the only hospital nearby in the Middle of Nowhere to go to. I almost died from an abcess that they misdiagnosed the few times i went in there, i finally had to go to Springfield to get the care and attention i needed and had found out it was Strep Throat that got so bad and was untreated(Lincoln tested for Strep and told me it was tonsolitis instead and gave me steroids, they couldnt even diagnose my Strep Throat with their lab test..hmm wonder if it even got sent off it turned into an abcess and i couldnt swallow or eat anything for a week or so before i finally went to springfield and had to have immediate surgery. And also a separate time,i had stepped on a nail stuck to a board and had went to the hospital, needing a tetanus shot, im also limping in pain i could hardly put pressure on that foot, i get there and im waiting in the room and a cop walks in asking if i could give them a urine sample? What in the heck does my urine have anything to do with that matter?! I didnt even ask for any pain medication, just a tetanus shot. Eventhough i was in pain, they didnt even offer me ibuprofen. Alll ive dealt with from this hospital was horrible care, and i have medical card so im not sure if this has anything to do with it,but im sure it does since this hospital acts like it runs like a Business and judges everybody who goes there, and for some reason cops are always up there.. Lincoln hospital is a JOKE.
Excelente Care and Services. The Staff are very nice, helpful and the whole facility is super clean with neat views. Dont forget to stop by The Woods Cafe inside the facility, with savoury foods at prices you cant beat anywhere else and with a very nice and smiling staff.
I like how friendly everyone is
If you have a major emergency please find a different place. I went in with my heart racing sweating and trouble breathing. Although they did do a work up to see if it was a heart attack they stopped there and diagnosed me as having a panic attack. IT WAS NOT A PANIC ATTACK!!! I was then told Im not dying , dont need further testing so I can go home. I was treated like I was a waste of time. Well went to see my doctor today and Im being sent to a heart doctor because I display all major symptoms of arthemia. So knowing this and knowing it is entirely possible I could have gone into cardiac arrest but it was passed off as a simple panic attack I will not be going back no matter how serious my issues are.
I was completely blown off by the ER dr. I was having excruciating pain in my left shoulder area. I was actually crying. I cldnt move it. No injuries. I have a Porta-cath for vein access because of a rare syndrome I have (need bloodwork and electrolytes often). I had to go to another hospital because I was discharged from here and told there was nothing wrong & no reason for the pain. It hurt to even breathe because it moved my sternum and shoulder area. I went to Decatur Memorial thankfully and the ER dr there took it very seriously. Longer story short...they did blood cultures that rapidly grew (bacterial infection in my blood). I started running a high fever & they also discovered the pain in my left sternum & shoulder area was from that same infection settling into a joint. It had to be asperated 3 times & I finally had to have surgery to clean all the infection out. It was spreading. I had to undergo several tests (one was a scope down my throatto make sure the infection didnt spread to my heart (this cld have happened easily since my port, blood, and sternum area were all infected). Very serious situation that was blown off (rudelyby Abraham Lincoln Memorial. I was in the hospital for 4 weeks & had to be on IV antibiotics for 6 more weeks after discharge. I cant describe how painful this experience was or how sick I got. Miserable to say the very, very least. I was ICU, then the heart floor, then orthopedics. I was treated very well at Decatur Memorial & their infectious disease dr is top notch. Dont waste your time here.
Very dissatisfied on the harassment of phone calls, a guy showing up at my work and my home threatening to take me to court over a bill I was trying to pay. My appendix ruptured and I was transferred to Springfield Il due to Lincoln hospital not able to help me. I was in and out of the hospital from February to May due to this. I got very sick so I had a lot of bills I was trying to pay on. This hospital was absolutely horrible to try to work with me on a payment plan. I have taken my kids here for several years as well as recommended it. Not since this type of treatment. I have NEVER had such a horrible experience w the billing. I will NEVER go back.*******Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I have contacted you directly and you stated there is nothing you can do once you have handed the account over to your vultures. Luckily the Springfield Hospitals have been so much nicer with working with me. I dont wish this experience on my worst enemy that I have had to go through with your billing processes. Its very unfortunate that you choose a company to harass a patient that is trying to pay ALL the medical bills from an unexpected situation. You are not the only company getting paid. You are the only company choosing to do business as you are.
Always great...Ive used rehab several times and they do a good if not great job. Keep up the good work. We are lucky to have such a nice facility in a town the size of Lincoln.
Hi I think it would be good if the hospital had charging stations for the public to charge their cars that could be used while exercising on the new sidewalk.
The entire staff was very friendly and had encouraging words of support. When I say entire staff, thats what I truly mean. The nurses, techs and doctors were outstanding but the housekeeping and dietary staff were just as wonderful.
I would like to take this opportunity to say how thankful I am for the care my father, and our family, received while in the care of ALMH. He was treated in the ER the early morning on August 8 and was admitted on August 8 and died on August 11. Words alone cannot express my gratitude for the compassion and care we all received. My Dad was very sick when admitted and the staff was so compassionate, they kept us informed, they were very patient with our endless questions and concerns. They spoke to my Dad with care and concern with every change, procedure, vitals check, med administration, position change, breathing treatment, the whole suction process, as if he was able to respond. In that time period, there wasnt one time that the ALMH employee didnt check with our family to see if there was anything they could do for us, not just for my Dad, but for the family members before they left the room. Our nurses, Abby, Alyssa, Carol, techs Brittany, Kelsy, Devin, Nicole, the phlebotomist, Janet, Melissa from Respiratory and I cannot as I write this recall the two others therapists from Respiratory that helped care for my Dad towards the end, only because I was very nervous/emotional by that point, but they were amazing as well, and I felt like they were all angels there to help us at such a heartbreaking time. Tinker from Housekeeping was very accommodating and as sweet as could be and cleaned as she could. ALMH provided a family room for us to overflow into as we were with my Dad to the very end - that was so very appreciated, as were the refreshments. I know I am missing some people, but you could look at whoever was on the schedule for that time period and every single person on each shift went above and beyond to take care of my Dad, and our family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every ALMH staff member that cared for my Dear ol Dad, George Mitchell. Most sincerely, Laura Brewer, Daughter of George Mitchell.
I LOVE this hospitalEveryone is so nice and they care about their patients
