AC Hotel by Marriott Tuscaloosa in Tuscaloosa County

I enjoyed my stay. Large rooms and very near shops and restaurants.

Clean and modern.Restaurants in walking distance.Fronts on a busy street. Close to University

After driving 600+ miles I needed a good nights sleep. AC Tuscaloosa delivered. The clerk at check in was friendly and efficient. The elevators are secure, requiring key card to go up. This place has the BEST hotel shower Ive experienced, with great pressure and temperature with a rainfall head and a separate house. The bed was comfy. Will definitely stay with AC again.

Ok, I spend about 40-50% of my time traveling for work in and out of hotels. This Marriott decided to stop cleaning rooms?? I did understand with Covid, all was crazy, but now? When prices are sky-high?? Also, I was in the middle of a 5 way meeting in my room and we ordered some food for the meeting. I asked the front desk if they could bring the food up, or let the already paid delivery personal to be allowed up. The front desk, by the name of Tim, said “it’s our policy to not let any non-guests in the hotel.” So I asked if someone could bring up the food, and he hung up on me?? What kind of customer service book are these Marriott people studying? I would not pay for service here. I’m checking out and moving to another hotel across the street. The Marriott should be ashamed of this poor customer service. Oh, by the way, I’m one of their Platinum Members.

Very Poor Stay Experience. Rude Morning front desk and lazy housekeeping.. Housekeeping is rude when you ask for something!! They refuse to change your sheets even on your scheduled day which is every 5 th day and leave no towels.. My daughter had to use hand towels to dry off. Flies all over breakfast bar!! Would not waist my money.. Better service at the Comfort Inn and Best Service Hilton Embassy Suite when staying at Tuscaloosa!!!

Nice place in the downtown area of Tuscaloosa. Lots of places to eat nearby within walking distance or a short drive.The hotel is new with ample parking in the garage. The rooms are comfortable.

Nice place, clean, modern, convenient to everything. The bar on the main floor stays open late so everyone can come back together after dinner for drinks. The staff were friendly & helpful. I especially liked the complementary waters they had in the refrigerator in our room for us.Marriott should allow points booking & paid booking on the same reservation. Instead we had to check out after one night on points & check in again for one night paid. This needs to be resolved. We got back to our room last night & the bed sheets were stripped off & room not cleaned. They gave us another room for the confusion.

I have had the same experience both times I have stayed here. Noisy outside because of the trucks and noisy inside because of loud guests/thin walls. Can hear everything happening on your floor. I travel for work and need a good night’s rest. Don’t expect it at this hotel. Won’t be back.

Overated - look elsewhere like Embassy Suites or Homewood Suites for better rooms and a better breakfastLiked · The location is within walking to numerous restaurants and bars. There is a covered parking garage in the back. The staff were fine, nothing to brag or complain about.Disliked · DO NOT BUY OR INCLUDE THE BREAKFAST in your stay. It consists of strawberries, danishes, sliced cheese, numerous warm meats, coffee, a loaf of bread that you must slice (no kidding and who knows where that has been), and yogurt that you must dig around to find yourself in the refrigerator.Our room had four (4people and two (2bath towels and a practically empty roll of toilet paper. Needless to say I had to go the front desk and ask for more. The shower gel dispenser that hangs in the shower was empty and there was trash (candy wrappersunder the bed.I wouldnt guarantee the cleanliness of our room at that point.

Beautiful hotel. A1 customer service! Comfortable and modern clean rooms. We had a wonderful one night stay as we passed through this town. Darren and Chazmin were very accommodating to our requests with our Uhual truck! Peaceful and quiet with a great night of sleep. I would definitely recommend this location. It’s within walking distance of fast food or local restaurants.Thanks AC Tuscaloosa :)

My wife and I walked in at 310pm.Was immediately told that king rooms reserved are unavailable. It’s now 441pm and still no room. I asked about compensation….. I was advise to talk to management.

Everything was perfect host and all. Great place to stay

If I could give it a 0 I would. I checked in at 9am. I travelled 6 hours arrived at 4pm and was told there were no rooms ready. They have at least 8 people ahead of me waiting on a room. The GM offered nothing for our wait. I have a small child and I need a room. The GM apparently allowed the entire hotel to check out at 4pm today. Totally absurd!!!

Super spacious, amazing European wine selection, tapas until 10 PM, and a rooftop bar!

Hotel was sleek and modern and the staff was friendly but thats where the good times end.The new trend in hotels is to build economy hotels and brand them as shiny and modern, but what they really do is build a 1/2 size room and cheap out on the fixtures. There was a platform bed that was very uncomfortable as it was just a mattress on a pedestal, vinyl flooring that was sticky to the touch. As there was no furniture the mini fridge was stuck on a metal rack that just made the humming all the worse. In reality the mini fridge noise was drowned out by the round the clock truck traffic on the major Tuscaloosa thoroughfare just a mere 25 feet from your single pane window. To make matters worse is the fact that the trucks have a stop light right on the corner so not only do you here them brake but also accelerate away as the light changes every two minutes all night long. After a thrilling 45 minutes of sleep we went downstairs to get breakfast and were appalled by the meager offerings for only $14.99 per person.Overall an experience I will not repeat.

Floors and shower had not been cleaned. There was visible loose dirt on the floor and a glob of toothpaste on the floor of the bathroom. The shower was full of blonde hair (I have brown). Dirtiest Marriot I have ever seen

Hotel has sleek contemporary design but the efficiency of the hotel is lacking. Rooms are tight and cheaply built. Residence Inn is by far the superior hotel of these two hotels.

When I arrived the room appeared to clean .As I was setting in the chair that evening I happened to look behind the chair and I saw a dirty wash cloth. That morning I bought it to the Clerks attention. She ask if I would like a full service clean since I had a issue with the room. I said yes. After returning that evening I found the room had not been serviced Trash was still in the trash can and the bed had not been made.The clerk on duty stated that hotel does not do full service, only tidy service.I told her that they did not perform a tidy service because they only added clean towels to my room and did not make the bed or remove the trash.When I returned from dinner that afternoon I decided to look behind the chair to see if the dirty wash cloth had been removed. The wash cloth was still their.Upon check out I notified the morning clerk that my room did not get a full service and the dirty wash cloth had not been removed. She stated that all of the information had been wrote in the book for the manager and other clerks to view.

Just got checked in and will here til checkout on Sunday, so I will edit this review then. But, as of now its been very accommodating and the room is very nice. The girls at the front desk were the best. No confusion, no complications.

Bar/restaurant has a very limited selection of food. The salad I had was great, but was only the size of an appetizer.

Very modern clean hotel!

Atrocious customer service. Im a Titanium level member and unfortunately used 40,000 points to stay at this property for one night. Their "food" is disgusting. Come to find out, they dont actually have a kitchen. I ordered three plates... olives (allllll of which were pitted and INSANELY salted), Greek meatballs (boring, but only thing I could eat), and rubber chicken as an entrée. Absolutely disgusting and microwaved (by admission if the "chef"). The bartender had to have help and 15 minutes to make a smoked old fashioned (which never was smoked),and front desk staff simply couldnt find it within them to find something for me to carry the numerous items I purchased from the market to carry to my room because Im STILL hungry. FIND. A. SOLUTION. Youre in hospitality. Im absolutely SICK of Marriotts attitude towards loyal customers for years. Im DONE. My boss gifted me Hilton Gold status and Ill start there.

Im almost certain that we were the first to stay in the room at this new, European-inspired hotel. We were able to use our earned free room from Marriott Rewards. This modernized and beautiful hotel is a nice addition to downtown Tuscaloosa. I highly recommend.
