The food and service was outstanding
Always a great place. Super friendly and good food.
Food was ok, but the service was awful. Had to ask for silverware after our orders arrived. Did not come by to refill drinks.
Fajitas where great, but the margarita was pretty mid
Football Friday night to watch my grandson. People were friendly and a nice stadium to visit.
The tacos were awesome and the carne asada fries, to die for!
We used to go quite a bit to the one in Lowell. I honestly dont know what happened. It has been well over a year since I last visited. My husband is a very patient man, me not so much. But after 45 minutes of sitting there with no one even coming by to allow us to order, nor refill our ice tea, we paid for our tea and left. Never even got chips and salsa. We were sitting in the back, so we just gave the bartender the money for our tea and left.
Very typical good Mexican restaurant in NWA. The food was good, but not amazing. I got a Steven Special (or their versionand the proportion of steak to rice to cheese was off. I will say that the cheese dip was really good and had a perfect consistency. The main reason for me removing a star is the service was not great. We were hardly checked on at all. Anytime we wanted a refill of chips or drinks, we had to flag someone down. We were just not checked on during our visit.
Very fast and friendly - Drinks are very good.
It is the best Mexican restaurant I have ate at in a long time I have went back the following weekend and ate there again it is great and the service is awesome
The food was really good and delicious and the service was great
Lunch with my son and his family tasty and hot foox
Food cold waitress just rude at check out lady said she was tired because lunch rush just ended. Poor excuse and shame on all of you!
Great food and friendly staff!
I used to eat here 10 plus years ago and thought I would try again. Food was cold and not up to the standard years ago.
Loved it ! food was great they were very busy we had to wait a while on our food but other than that it was good !
We found this restaurant by chance and were so happy we did. Great food and great service!
Great friendly staff! Id trust them with my life and definitely Tacos!
food was delicious, drinks were so great that my friend passed out from a SINGLE very delicious piña colada! staff was quick to respond and check to make sure everything was okay. she said she wanted to go out, and boy did she! 😂🤠🥂on the real, the staff were amazing, friendly, and responsive when she went out. 😅✨🥳
Friendly staff, amazing service, delicious food! We’ve been eating here for years and they never disappoint.
Fantastic tex-mex and the best salsa in the area! Wonderful service. Great times and great food and great people. Plenty of room for small or large parties. Carry out is quick and yummy too!
Food was good waitress could of been better but was ok
Oh wow. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this place was awful and management needs a huge wake up call. I almost reported to the health department, but actually don’t know how to do that or if they’d even care. Either way that was our first and last visit to the restaurant and such a waste of $.Staff is not very friendly although our server seemed very sweet, but stretched thin from maybe tables in the back? It took awhile for food to come out and the place wasn’t too busy with minimal filled tables. We had a roach come greet us before our server finally did. My husband told me to move my foot and there the roach was…in the main dining room…with the lights on and coming to say “hi” to us…out in the open. That usually means a place is overrun with them. We had multiple ants crawling on our table and then us. We were swiping them away through the whole meal. The beautiful Saltillo tile on the floor was disgusting. It looked like decades of grime caked on it. Floors and tables were dirty but we walked in and sat down so we were committed at this point. We usually like to try run down hole in the wall places because they’re there for a reason and usually little gems, but they’re usually at least clean. I’m actually not sure how this place is still open? Where did all these good reviews come from???The chips and rice were decent, but EVERYTHING else was very bad. It reminded me of a buffet restaurant with old food in Houston in the 80s and 90’s called Pancho’s.But worse. Pancho’s was notorious for cheap, old food. This is not authentic Mexican food. We ordered both cheese dips to try and the yellow was basically canned burned cheese. The salsa and white queso have no flavor and the white also tasted canned and like slop. Definitely not worth something to pay for. The tea was questionable as to whether it was old or not as it had a strange flavor. If you think this is good Mexican food, you are missing out and I’m not sure this place would look clean to anyone. This is one of the worst Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to.I hate leaving bad reviews, but these are obvious problems and this isn’t stuff management would just overlook. It’s more of a neglecting to care thing.
I have been going to this place for 15+ years, and its just as good as ever! Still great prices and decent portions. Some of the best enchiladas around.
Great food, great prices. I love the shrimp enchiladas
Its our favorite dinner spot. The service is wonderful and everyone is so nice. The food is tasty as always. We have been enjoying their great food for the past 6 years or more.
Love this place. The people are very nice and friendly and the place is always low key when we go in. The food is always good.
Great salsa and chips. Food was subpar. Service was ok not great. Better than some places but needs improvement. Price was higher here than comparable places and the menu didnt live up to the hype.
Ive always liked the Acambaro Resturaunts. Much better than the Las Fajitas down the road. Way better customer service as well.
Best place to take your family and to be able to enjoy without filling like you are push to hurry up and finish and get out. Love it here
Food took a bit to come out but it was worth the wait. Our waitress was great and food was delicious, definitely coming back soon.
Friendly staff, great environment, food is always fantastic! My boss and I go here for lunch and it never disappoints! Strawberry margaritas are so good!
Great food. Had the quesadilla. It was HUGE. Great food and great staff. A+
I was on a doordash. Please if youre on a doordash be understanding with this establishment because they have been burned on doordashes before and not showed up they will not make your order till the driver arrives I can understand this they were very polite and professional I would highly recommend this establishment again a very polite and professional staff
Service was very slow.. We had our chips n salsa eaten by time they took our drink order n brought them out.. Food was great.. Thank you
Definitely not the place to go if you want authentic Mexican food. Poor service, poor food, and poor margaritas. If you plan to go here: Dont. The margaritas were expensive, and they werent good at all. The food was made sloppy and tasted awful. Never going back.
My friend and I like to go there quite a bit to the one in Lowell. But theres this one waitress who just seems like shes not happy and not happy serving us every time we go. Finally the last time we went, my friend got there before I did and had already gotten her food but when I got there I barely got the woman to look at me and I had to ask for a drink. She never brought me my salsa even though we asked three times. Another lady, I think maybe the owner, asked me if she ever brought my salsa and I said no and we still didnt get it! They never even came and took my order. She passed me several times and just either gave me a dirty look or purposely avoided looking at me at all! And even avoided a lady past us in the corner just so she wouldnt have to come past us. That lady kept trying to get her attention and finally just got up and brought the waitress her cup to get it refilled! I kept turning around looking at them and there were two ladies just standing there doing nothing. She saw me looking and she still didnt come! We finally just got up and left after my friend paid for hers at the counter. I dont know what we did but that is unacceptable and just downright rude! Its a restaurant and thats where they get their business from is serving people. And its sad because that was the one thats close to my home and the one that I really like to go to! But even my friend didnt get another refill on her drink either and does not want to go back there because of how horribly we were treated! And we used to go all the time! And I like to go on Friday nights after church to get salsa and chips. I dont think well be going back. We might try the other one in Rogers or another Mexican restaurant altogether.
The food was very good! Carne Asada Burrito, Taco Salad, Chicken Burrito were all ordered by our group. The staff was friendly and fast. Loved the Mango Margarita!
We aren’t the ones to write bad reviews unless it’s AWFUL but we used to come at least twice a week. We order the same thing every time but service keeps getting worse each time we are in and very unsatisfying when you hope it was just an off day and that maybe this time it will get better... Adris is very unfriendly, never brings out more chips/salsa, no refills on drinks etc and this has been our experience each time we have her. As much as we love and enjoy coming there we will take our business elsewhere! 😭
The food was not good at all. Salsa was good but the chips were old and stale, tacos were rubbery and stale, meat (steakhad chunks of fat and ligaments. Rice was about the only thing that was edible. Chicken was also rubbery. Paid $50 for a terrible meal. Not a good experience at all, I will not be back!
One of the few authentic Mexican food establishments around, this Acambaro, along with its many sister locations, is sure to please your cravings with quality meals every time. Served by a friendly and prompt server, I have always enjoyed my weekly visits to this location. If you have to drive out of your way, it will prove to be worthwhile at the first bite of their homemade salsa or guacamole!
A little light on the color this time, but I ordered without cilantro. Carne asada tacos with rice and beans. Great quick, cheap dinner!! As always, fast service!
The salsa dip was great! The meals we ate were quite delicious. I mistakenly ordered two fried ice cream without realizing how large they were.
First time customers and we were very appreciative of the fact that they took the time to explain the details of the ingredients over the phone as we do not like spicy food. There was plenty of food for the price and everything was excellent. We will definitely be ordering from here again. The only downside was that the person who carried the food out to our car was not wearing a mask. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star rating.
I always order the same dish at Mexican restaurants which is Chile Verde which for me is a good benchmark for the rest of the menu. It did not disappoint, the sauce was flavorful and not too runny. Big chunks of pork and plenty of them so if you order it I hope youre hungry. Beans and rice taste like they were made in the kitchen and not out of a can. Chips and salsa are good as well and the spicy salsa is spicy so thats a huge plus. Service was spotty as I never got a drink refill and the waitresses were chatting and I could never flag them down. That being said the food was good and thats why you should try it.
I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The food was fast and really good, prices were low, and the staff was friendly. My husband and I normally go to the same place once a week for a "lunch date" and I believe that today we decided to change our usual get together place to Acambaro.
One of the WORST mexican restaurants I have ever been to!The food is of terrible quality, they typically crank out their third grade food and mircowave the whole plate, food is probably months old.SHADY COOKING PRACTICES LIKE EVERY OTHER MEXICAN RESTAURANT AROUND THE CORNERTHIS IS NOT A PLACE FOR VEGETARIANS OR VEGANS! THEY WILL INTENTIONALLY PLACE MEAT IN THE ORDER AND NOT EVEN REMOTELY CARE ABOUT IT!YUP THEY SIMPLY DONT CARE- THEY ARE IN IT JUST TO GET PEOPLES MONEY- ONCE AND DONE!!!!BY ANY STANDARDS IT WAS A FILTHY PLACE!! JUST REALIZED THEY HAVE SOME ONE STAR RATINGS BELOW, I WISH I READ THEM !!!DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO SAVE YOURSELF FROM SOME DISAPPOINTMENTTHE ONLY CUSTOMERS THEY SHOULD SIT IS PEOPLE FROM THE HEALTH DEPARTMENTCITY OF LOWELL/ROGERS NEED TO PAY A VISIT TOO AND SEE HOW THEY HAVE ILLEGALLY STRIPED THEIR PARKING LOT TO INCREASE PARKING CAPACITY BY COMPROMISING SAFETYONE STAR REVIEW IS BEING OVERLY GENEROUS TO THIS RESTAURANTMANAGER/OWNER HAS NO CLUE WHAT HOSPITALITY IS...BAD SERVICE,BAD FOOD QUALITY -LACK BASIC BASIC QUALITIES A RESTAURANT SHOULD HAVEITS SAD THEY ARE IN IT JUST FOR MONEYDONT GO HERE
Everything was fresh and hot! This salsa is the most addictive youll ever eat. Be sure to get the hot one. I wish I could find Tacos De Asada this tender in Tulsa!!
The specials are on the board when you enter. We ordered the blue marg. & the frozen lime from the specials. They brought it on ice instead of frozen, so they could charge more. They also overcharged us for the blue marg. Both drinks were over full with ice. There may have been a couple of ounces of margarita in all that ice. This is an ongoing problem, as my previous review of the Fayetteville location mentioned this, about a year ago.I included a picture of the waitstaff, who constantly congregated at the drink station, not tending their tables. The chimi plates were skimpy, & uninspired. No need to return.
Best inexpensive Mexican restaurant around, and the prices cant be beat! We always get FAST service - I mean, our plates arrive before you can even truly indulge in the delicious salsa they bring you. Food is consistently GREAT, sweet tea is amazing - we LOVE this place! Its not in a fancy building, so if thats important to you, you might want to go somewhere else where you pay more, but this place has been here awhile, and the food cant be beat, if you can overlook the older building. Best chips and salsa around, IMO - and you get all that you can eat.
