The port orange office and the company are being sued by a patient. Check the public records at the Deland courthouse.
The staff and doctors at Advanced Dermatology of Port Orange Florida were friendly, prompt and professional. I had just moved to Port Orange and needed my 6 month checkup. Getting an appointment was easy and the care I received was top-notch.
Despite numerous calls and attempts to reach them, I always get told they will call back and never do. Based on my customer service experience this place is 1 stars.
Everyone was super nice. The doctor explained everything to me and the procedure went perfect.
There customer service is absolutely horrible. Every time I need to get a refill on my prescription it’s a problem and hassle between the nursing staff and the pharmacy. Nobody ever calls back and there service is extremely terrible. I will never be back.
I actually just read that a patient is suing this office at the Deland courthouse and it doesnt look good. You might want to read the lawsuit before going to this place. I would go someplace else...I am never happy after leaving this place. They dont return calls. Just terrible.
Very organized, good customer service from start to finish. Dr. Solomon knowledgeable and helpful.
Staff was very friendly and professional. The doctor was really good. They did a body scan and were very thorough. I highly recommend them.
Appointment was at 5:30. Came in at 5:20. Didn’t get called back and it was 6:15. If you have all the time in the world this is a good place to come.
Thought had appt with Dr. Lovely lady Not sure of title looked at me confirmed I had Shingles. No further instructions..for itching swelling Do what ever primary said. Primary toldme see a dermatologist for care of skin. I had also requested a Cancer t screen wheni made appy. Was told No time to do it. Now. Make an appointment
What a pleasure to be with this Dermatologist and crew. They were just the best, friendly and very thorough. Thanks for a great experience. Rod
Appreciate promptness of getting me in for an appointment. Saw the PA and am feeling much better. Thanks
This is a mass production line! She took 3 minutes to do a full body scan! Another Doctor found a suspicious place and now I have to find another Dr. To take care of this place on me because I will never go here again! Avoid ALL Advanced Dermatology! They dont care about your health!
Great office and thorough full body exam. Also got a facial from Robin which was wonderful. I will be back!
Horrible service. Calls are supposed to be returned within 24 hours. I had severe reaction to medication. Left messages with 6 different managers and staff over 4 day period emphasizing “reactions”. No returned calls. Finally had to go to ER just to get answers and Instuctions.
It is actually zero stars but unfortunately that isnt possible. My mother was seen by Dr. Solomon on December 30, 2021 in the Port Orange office and told to have a skin biopsy that day which she did. He told her the results would be available within 2 weeks. After waiting for 2 weeks with no response, she called and left 3 messages because nobody answers the phones in the office EVER. She received no response and finally decided she would have to go to the office to get her results, which she did on Friday January 28, 2022. The two receptionists sat talking to each other and ignored her for 5 minutes. Finally one acknowledged her and when my mother explained why she was there, the woman said she would get a nurse to talk to her. My mother was left sitting in the waiting room. When the receptionist returned without a nurse, she had a copy of my mothers biopsy results which she (THE RECEPTIONISThanded to my mother and proceeded to break all HIPPA laws by giving her a confidential medical diagnosis IN THE PUBLIC WAITING ROOM OF THE OFFICE! She then told her she should have the office call to schedule a procedure. I had already insisted that my mother go there only to get results because it was obvious even before this outrageous breach of ethics and laws that this place was unprofessional and would not be treating her any further. I urge all patients to stay away from this "Dermatology Business" and seek medical care from actual medical professionals who understand that you dont have a receptionist give an elderly woman a cancer diagnosis in the front entrance of an office building! I will be reporting this incident to the department of health and leaving a review for all to see on googles as well. After reading others experiences on google, I realized many others have dealt with similar unacceptable inappropriate patient care (lack thereofand responsibility as well. Unfortunately, I live out of state or would have accompanied my mother to the office and dealt with them face to face but that was not possible. The entire practice should be shut down.
I was very satisfied with all of the staff who were very helpful and kind.My visit with Isabela Turner was very satisfying just as the other times I have seen her. Highly recommend
Was very disappointed They took my Insurance Copay When she checked me out and said That she didnt think that my insurance would pay for this cuz its cosmetic but yet they had their product For $175.00 she didnt know if it would help or not
Robyn was awesome. She removed a milia bump from my 5 year old sons cheek and she was so good and patient with him. Thank you so much Robyn!
Great Staff...Super Friendly Super Professional...My Only Objection...the Furniture is not Handicapped Friendly..Could use some 2 seat Bench Type or armless chairs
I chose this office because they were able to see me immediately, SAME DAY, and Mia, the PA, was able to help create a care plan for an ongoing issue I had been struggling with. I am a week out from my initial visit, and my face is already clearing up. Its been almost a year since I can honestly say that. I highly recommend Advanced Dermatology. I was previously going to a different office locally, and I definitely feel happy about making the switch!
Terrible service! I had to make an appointment with the PA Isabella for a renewal of a prescription because Dr. Eubanks is no longer at this office. I explained which prescription I needed as I have two prescriptions with them. I am on Medicare and the prescription that I needed had to be sent to my provider; however, not only did I had to pay my co-pay ( I did ask for a TeleHealth visit but was told that the Port Orange office doesn’t offer this service even though there website doesn’t say thatbut she also ordered another prescription that I specifically told her that I didn’t want because it was too expensive and that I also didn’t need it at this time. Luckily, I was to cancel that prescription. In my opinion, she just ignored my request.
Tried to make a new patient appointment. The girl was very rude over the phone. My very first question was do you take my insurance and she said yes we do. I proceed to make a new patient appointment due to just recently moving to Daytona Beach. I go thru 30 minutes of questions and her trying to get my account set up only to find out that none of the doctors take my insurance. THAT WAS MY VERY FIRST QUESTION!! If you have Florida Healthcare dont waste your time!!!
Such great professional and knowledgeable staff. I was checked in and seen in a very short time. I was taken care of by Ms Amy, PA and Ms Amy. The level of care is outstanding! They called me at home to let me know my prescription was sent in, and then called to make sure I received it. My results was clearly explained to me. The empathy and level of tender care shown was both amazing and refreshing to see. I would definitely recommend Advanced Dermatology to my friends and family! Thank you all for a great experience.🌹
Having difficulty getting a prescription sent to an alternative pharmacy. Its been over a week and still cant get any help. The exam was thorough and the staff professional.
Dr Turner is excellent, extremely knowledgeable, discussed my options for treatment thouroughly. However, I waited an hour before seeing the doctor. People came in after me, and went in before me, and their wait time was much shorter than mine. And I arrived about 15 minutes before my appointment time, and still had to wait an hour.🤨
I was really impressed by this staff, and how professional everyone was. My only complaint was that my prescription wasnt phoned into CVS when it was supposed to have been. I had to wait until the next day for it to be filled.
The P.A. Isabella is very professional and at the same time very friendly. The office staff are friendly and all appear to enjoy their work. There are occasional scheduling problems resulting in waits of up to 45 minutes.(This review from Dave only)
Great first visit. i highly recommend this Dermatology office. They were super nice , and I didnt wait at all. the check out process was quick. the PA I saw Isabel was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Wonderful Nurse Practioner, I think her name is Liz. Very attentive and not trying to sell cosmetic products like so many other offices. Only reason for 4 stars is the waiting room was very crowded and I left to wait outside in my car. Other than that...great office staff.
Best experience at a dermatologist. Mia, the P.A., was kind, knowledgeable and professional. I had a mole removed and didnt feel a thing, I had several pre-cancer spots frozen and this too was not painful. I was taken back for my appointment at the scheduled time. I am very happy and will continue to use them.
I would happily give Ms Belkin a five star for her work and “bedside manor”. However, overall a three is pushing it due to over booking. I always see so many angry people in that waiting room. I waited a full 30 minutes past my appointment time to get into a room. We work too.
Isabelle the P.A is super sweet and nice, thats the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one. Unorganized office, with multiple standing in the lobby area complaining because they were given wrong information. Went in to get something looked at and they performed a procedure without knowing I didnt have insurance and charged me without telling me the price first, which Im pretty sure is illegal. Left me in a room by myself after seeing me and didnt tell me anything else other than I was "good to go" and I didnt know where to go after that. Place is clean and they are friendly for the most part, just unorganized and not very thorough with existing patients.
Office visit went well, friendly staff but I am having a difficult time getting thru to a person for follow up results. They called a several days ago to give me results for a biopsy and I missed the call. I called back right away and all you get is a message that no one is available left a message and someone will get back to you within 24 hours but no body does. I have left a message for 3 days now and am still waiting for someone to call me. Also, they were supposed to call in a prescription to my pharmacy 3 weeks ago and they didnt and I am trying to get in touch with them to do this also.
As always my visit to advanced Dermatology was pleasant, painless and helpful as I attempt to keep my skin healthy and any problems under control The staff members are caring, efficient and amiable. A very professional office, but definitely skilled and friendly.
After spending $600 more for a reduced service compared to what I had done last year-and asking what the total cost of my services would be using my Brilliant Distinction points - I was assured that the receptionist who would check me out would take care of this. Having activated my points, knew that I had $160. The receptionist who was sitting in for someone not only could not access my points-but was unable to schedule my 2 week follow-up visit. Paid just under $2800. $2772 to be exact-filler and botox and with fewer injections than last year yet far more in cost. I work 60 hrs. a week. Called from work the next week-several calls-you can never reach anyone and have to leave a voice message. Regular receptionist said she would look into it. Bottom line-I had $160 in points to apply. Was given a $75 credit to their office-not even taken off the credit card I used to pay. This weekend I received a bill from their office stating that I owed $150.00. Really? I paid the bill in full trusting this office and received less than half of what was expected from my Brilliant Distinction points. Another call next week. Update: I contacted the 800 customer service number and spoke to a person for the first time in almost 2 weeks. The rep. was able to apply my $75 credit to my credit card. At this point, I wasnt even about to argue that it should have been $160. The rep. further stated that I never should have received the $150 bill with my account being paid in full. The rep. also said they would reach out to the Office Manager on my behalf. Surprisingly, after all my calls, the Office Manager contacted me the next day-an incredibly rude individual. Got my follow-up appointment with Isabella who was as gracious as always-saw what needed to be done and with no explanations needed on my behalf-did what needed to be done! This being even after the technician who came in to see me before seeing Isabella-taking pictures, asking what my concerns were tried to convince me with a before and after pic-showing the pic where you dont smile, just a straight face-saying "This is what you looked like before". If only I had that expression on my face all day! A joke.I would follow Isabella anywhere-she gets 5 stars-sadly, the office support staff needs to be addressed.
They are always professional. Never a long wait in the waiting room. And when you are in with the doctor she explains everything she is looking at and whether it should be a concern. The whole staff is great!
I love going there. T j.g e staff is great and I always feel very comfortable. My PA is awesome and U completely trust her to take care if me. Try them I think youll be really happy.
I moved from out of state and was recommended this office by a friend. I am so glad she did because the office staff is so friendly and I absolutelyLove Isabella! The office doesn’t book far out however I have been able to get an appointment within a week by getting on the cancellation list.
My wife and myself have been patients for years and the service is awesome. Isabella and her staff are always very polite and caring and make us feel like family. I have personally had six procedures removing skin cancer and my wife one , as well as check ups, and again we are treated excellent. Folks dont want to go to any doctor unless they have to BUT going to see Isabella and all the staff there sure does make it easier. Actually, THEY ROCK!!! Thank you for caring!
I was very dissatisfied with this clinic appointment. I had a long wait. You have to pay your co-pay before you see anyone, not at checkout. The MD dermatologist was nice enough but she did not introduce herself to me. I was there for a full body exam but she gave the front of my body a cursory look-over and didnt even ask me to stand to exam the back side of me. She decided to take a biopsy of a small area on my right temple. The nurse gave me a shot to numb the area that was so painful it brought tears to my eyes and caused my right eye to be swollen shut for 12 hours as well as gave me a headache that lasted almost 2 days. She gave me no warning this was coming. The whole appointment lasted less than 5 minutes. Very slip-shod. Ill never go back.
Had my first appointment recently. The front office staff was helpful, kind and effective. I had a concern about a suspicious looking spot and my appointment was set up for the very next morning. Isabella saw me and was confident & thorough as was the medical assistant. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Advanced Dermatology. In fact, after my appointment I learned that my sister also goes to them and is very satisfied!
My appointment was excellent, however, two tissue samples were removed for biopsy and I was told I would hear in two weeks whether either are cancer. Its been 3-1/2 weeks and I havent heard a word. And, try and call the office. You cannot get through to anyone. Outrageous!
I had an appointment here yesterday at 3:05 to have moles looked at and see if any needed to be removed. They didnt take me back until 3:20.. but fine- offices run behind all the time. After looking at my moles, Isabella did say that two of them needed to be removed and sent to pathology. The nurse proceeded to inject lidocaine into both of the moles then left the room for 15 minutes. She came back telling me that they were checking something with my insurance and to just wait then left again. After another 5 minutes she came back in saying there was an issue with my insurance giving them the "pre certs" to send the samples out to pathology. She left again, not coming back until 4:05 and then told me they wouldnt be able to do the procedure today because of my insurance and that I needed to reschedule because these moles definitely needed to be sent off to be tested for possible malignancy. Why you wouldnt do all the authorization ahead of time PRIOR to injecting the patient with lidocaine I have no idea. Waste of my time and I still had to pay the office visit- which they said I wouldnt have to pay the next time I go but well see if anyone made note of that....I got a call from them today 5/14/2019 saying that because I didnt have a primary health provider that they couldnt do the procedure under my insurance because I needed a referral from my doctor(even though the plan I have with Humana states I do NOT need referrals and when I spoke with my insurance they told me that there should have been no issues authorizing this procedure because Im covered...). When I said that I would be willing to reschedule after getting a primary care provider, since thats what they wanted, Jenna cut me off and said that I needed to come back in and sign a "Refusal of treatment" form. Why would I sign that? Im not refusing any treatment- Im covered for a procedure that they refused to do while I was in the office. The people here clearly have no clue what to do with insurance.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nurse Jenna makes you feel so comfortable, and my dermatologist, Isabella Belkin-Turner, also put me at ease. They made my visit a pleasant experience.
I visited the office as I had a lump in my forearm that needed to be biopsied. The PA referred me to do a sonogram first; and so I did. Once completed, I called to check on the results and obviously was a bit nervous about it. Was told they were busy & would call me later. After a week of waiting in agony, I sent emails and called again. No response....It is February and no one had the decency to call me back. Thankfully, I was able to get a hold of the sonogram form & for what I can decipher, it is nothing serious (hopefully I’m reading it correctly).I just think is heartless, and unprofessional to leave a patient waiting for results. They were very quick to charge me for the visit though.
Good PA and assistant - office staff more frustrating - I have received 3 different contacts for my upcoming appointment - overkill - and then my insurance company got on the line to stop the collection of additional monies AGAIN - and staff in the office claim they cannot do anything - going to get stitches out and then switching - I do not need additional stress in my life - The office asked for another review - honestly their mistake. I went on Friday after I stated I was only getting my stitches out -but no one in the office told my practitioner that I had cancelled my appointment for surgery or ANYTHING! I got a call today asking why I did not come in, I did for stitches removal only. There is something really wrong in this office - obviously no communication. I am sincerely glad I made the move to another office and will have my next surgery elsewhere. UPDATE. just went to new dermatologist and found out I DID NOT NEED TO HAVE MY MOLE RE-EXCISED. WARNING, GET A SECOND OPINION BEFORE YOU LET THIS PRACTICE CARVE ON YOU. IF I COULD I WOULD RATE THIS PRACTICE AS A NEGATIVE SCORE, NEGATIVE 5.
I just wanted to share with you all the experience I recently had with Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic surgery in Port Orange. When I arrived they meant me with a smile and let me know they would be right with me ( you know how that can gobut to my pleasant surprise I was in and out in 20 minutes. I have to return in a couple weeks and I feel quite sure that the experience will be just as pleasant.Thank you all for your professional serviceRegardsCandace Casey
Great service . PA Isabella has great bedside manner and is very sweet and thorough. She has found and removed several skin cancers off of me and my husband. The other doctors there are great too. I have never had a bad experience in this office.
Will not be returning here. Wasted a $40 copay to have a longer wait time than I was actually seen in the office. She was not interested in my health at all, and instead of initiating the check-up, I had to show her my areas of concern. I dont pay expensive premiums and deductables to do your job! I needed a $100 treatment. Why couldnt they do a 5 minute zap and give me credit for wasting $40. She was more eager to get out of the room!! I think they are probably more concerned with injecting the botox needle to the youth chasers!! I was a new patient and feel that John was absolutely right in his description. I wouldnt recommend going here as a new patient!! Was NOT comfortable at all in this office!!
