Alamo is the best of the Best is what Alamo is as a customer I deserve the BEST!!! Picked up at the SeaTac location & received VIP treatment when one of the to many Branch managers (Mr.Creedget me on my way! Creed didn’t hesitate logging in which gave me the very quick escape I really needed… However due to a Family emergency I needed to pick up a sibling and decided to add her as a driver stopping at Portland Oregon’s Airport ( PDXAlamo to do that and the Customer Service Agent working claimed her couldn’t add my additional driver claiming he didn’t have a computer to add a driver. We’re not kidding when we say that the agent told us we had to go to National to add my additional driver to my Alamo contract! Portlands Enterprise saved my mornings really nice young man named Ben with out hesitation booted up his computer to odyssey and proceeded to add her!!! Wait Ben is who I talked to but there was 3 Awesome Agents in booth a big you 3 Rock Thank You so much !!! Yahoo!!!As for the Alamo agent working Sunday Oct 23rd 2022 early morning @ 7:15- 7:20 AM at the PDX Airport next time someone shares info on the location ( SeaTac airport and brand (Alamo which happens to be the same As You drop the story and tell the truth YOU didn’t want to boot up ur computer and WORK cause between you and me why would National be the Only one to do my ALAMO Additional driver?? I say your surprise when I stopped at the Enterprise booth to have them do it NOT COOL

Told them I already bought the insurance from Expedia when they asked if I wanted it from them. Still charged me for it. When I called after my trip they said someone would call me back within a week but never did. When I called again there was nothing they could do since it took to long for me to call them. I feel scammed.

Recently rented a car at the Alamo location in Seattle and I could not have asked for an easier or quicker process! I mainly picked Alamo because of the "Skip the Counter" feature and it worked great! Walked right up to the car, picked the car I wanted and pretty much drove off. Drop off was as breeze as well. You hear about the long lines and extensive processes to rent a car --- not at Alamo!

We just met Representative Mecca at the Alamo Rental when we arrived in Seattle. Mecca was welcoming from the moment we walked up and very professional. She recommended insurance from the "menu" and all I could think of was food. LOL. Mecca was so kind and took time to recommend restaurants and places to visit. PRO: The best part of the experience was Customer Rep, Essence Muse. She provided excellent customer service, and was very professional, while also being outgoing, enthusiastic, and funny!! GREAT JOB!CONS: Locating Alamo was rather straightforward, however the building was very unwelcoming from the outside. Loud music blared (probably to prevent people from loiteringand it was very dirty. We almost felt unsafe entering.

Id rather walk then take a car for free from you guys! We were put into an "upgraded" car which apparently "were supposed to do a look around with the employee, which we wasnt informed of until dropping off so never happened due to the employee pulling around the "upgrade" and basically throwing us the keys, no one checked the car or anything. At our very first stop I happen to walk around to the passenger side of the vehicle and noticed 2 fairly big dents on the front passenger door and immediately I wondered if they "knew" it was there. So fast forward a few days we return the car and a different employee that was checking in the car proceeds to tell me how they have to make a "claim" on these dents against me.. This company specifically has made me make the decision to NEVER rent a car again unless I absolutely have to. I feel as if it was literally intentionally done. I would never suggest to anyone to use and our trust this company. But if you do make sure you take pictures of your vehicle before even leaving the pick up lot!

It was one of the easiest rental experience I’ve ever encounter. Customer service was exceptional. There was no hassel regarding rental whatsoever. I had horrible experience the day before at hertz and I was very discouraged that my trip will be ruined but alamo saved it! Thanks for the great rental experience!

We showed up with the expectation to get a certain type of vehicle, however they were out of that size and we were upgraded to a very nice and clean minivan which a pleasant surprise. Vehicle performed very well for our needs and was easy enough to operate. Great job Alamo! Great job downtown Seattle.

Rented at Alamo downtown Seattle:1. Cigarette butt on the floor, which questions how much Alamo cleaned the car in this COVID time2. Stay away from renting from Alamo at the Seattle airport! We rented a van from them because they had the best rates. Unfortunately when we returned the van they tried to say we damaged the vehicle! We did not and I said it had to be like that when we picked it up. I refused to sign the damage paper since it was like that when we rented. (It was missing the Chrysler logoThey told me it would be fine and we would not be charged. I asked for something in writing and was told I would not need it since there would be no charge. A huge LIE! I received a bill for $379 for something I DID NOT do! I will be reporting this to the BBB and calling to dispute this claim. I am furious with this company and the lack of customer service! If I could rate them a -10 I would. A complete bait and switch on the rental cost. I expect Alamo to fix this issue quickly and clear this false bill! Shameful Alamo!

Our initial rental on the first day including check in was not a problem, Mike and Emily was great and friendly. We extended the rental for an additional day without a problem. When went to the location to request for an additional day Alamo representative from the same location on 3rd ave stated she would take care of it as we told her our grandkids were waiting. She acted as though she was completing the rental process, she told us the daily rental with a surprise of over $229 a day (we just need it locally”. She didn’t go out of her way to find a vehicle for us. Mind you, we went to this location while we were spending time with our grandkids twice just so they can physically see the car. Also, trying to call this location is a nightmare. Our time with our grandkids was ruined. Will not recommend to family.

Emily and Michael are as professional and courteous as they come... great location downtown, close to pike place. Most importantly, the mgmt and service was top notch and both Michael and Emily were extremely knowledgeable and informative with helping w my car selection and cleaning protocol and when I encountered and issue on the road they were extremely proactive and responsive with my issue and quickly help resolve it. Usually, rental companies never pick up..! They called me back right away. Have found my new local car rental for sure! Highly recommended!

My husband and I had an enterprise reservation for 2am. When we arrived we found out the enterprise booth was closed and Alamo was taking all of their reservations. Long story short we waited in a long line (with small children in itfor an hour and a half in the freezing cold because management left 2 new employees alone who didnt even know their systems. 1 to do rentals and one to work the booth at the exit to let u out. Those 2 employees deserve a raise for their efforts in handling quite a few disgruntled customers and they held their composure and fought through it. But boo to their managers that left them out there like that. 0 stars for the experience but 5 stars to those 2 employees, especially the girl running back and forth between the booths trying to do 2 jobs without even knowing how.

(responding to Alamo CC.)Got a one way rental, booked via Expedia, from Seattle to Vancouver from this location.Not so minor:Van was dirty, is the most polite way of description of smell. No other vehicle was available so had to take it. When I went to pick up the van, there were bunch of them available.Minor in hindsight:After two days of dropping the car in Vancouver, got a call that car was not dropped. Luckily that drop off garage had parking tickets. I provided Alamo with photos of ticket (displayed on dash), car, condition of all panels, time etc. After that no one contacted me back or provided a receipt. Credit card was charged with right amount. I was left wondering what would have happened if I did not take photos.

Many thanks to Alamo for entrusting me with one of their lovely vehicles! I rented a car from Seattle to Denver for about 3 weeks. Had a great time traveling and visiting various National Parks! The all-wheel drive came into its own during early season snow storms and allowed me to extricate myself safely back to civilization. Really got to like this little vehicle, so I may well have a look when you sell some of your old car stock! Thank you so much for a great experience!!! :)

I have always found Alamo to be a good value with dependable service. I was rented a Chevy Malibu which I really enjoyed driving as it was great on the freeway and in the mountains and got excellent gas mileage. Pick up was a little slow because of a cruise ship in town for the weekend, but the return was easy. It is always good to verify the final charges with the service attendant and compare it with your quoted price.

Can only agree with other reviewers that this was one of the best customer service experiences Ive had at a car rental. Michael was genuinely helpful. Everything was explained plainly, there were no issues with my using a debit card, and we were upgraded for only $12. Also some information that couldnt be entered into the system at the time, was taken down to be entered later, so that we could get on the road quicker. Thankyou!

I rented a car from SeaTac airport Alamo. Couple problems with the car, so we Called, were told to take it to a Firestone Car Care Center, which we did, they found a further problem so we took the car back to SeaTac. We did not tell them we had to drive over 100 miles to return the car and were just expecting to get another car, but Timothy Willoughby over heard our conversation about the car having problems and he just took over, walked us over to the counter, got us another car, told us they were not going to charge us for the whole thing as we had to bring the car back and were inconvenienced, still not knowing how far we came to return the car! I was so impressed with his customer service and professionalism, I will definitely rent from Alamo again! Rental and return was quick and easy too!A big thanks to Timothy Willoughby for saving my vacation!

Great service and personnel at this downtown Seattle location. We got a great rate for a van for a few days and were able to return the van at the airport easily. Be sure to ask for instructions for entering and exiting the parking garage in downtown, especially if youre being dropped off by someone else.

The pick up office smells like a porta potty. Had to shallow breath. I was told no less than three times that the tank was full, it was not. When I mentioned the gas issue, they immediately addressed it by comping me a tank of gas. That was appreciated and unexpected. The tires were inflated dangerously unevenly (one tire 10 psi higher than the othersand the service light came on every time the car was started and said there were 0 miles left before service. Didnt really give me a bunch of confidence. The car pulled to the right, but that could have been partially due to the over inflated tire. Other than the car itself (and the smelly office), the people were super friendly. Hopefully the problems were an exception rather than the rule for Alamo.

I had reserved the car online and my selection was ready at the appointed time. The car was clean and fueled to the 3/4 mark and we returned it the same. No problems at either end and an overall pleasant experience. We had left a handbag behind and had to return to retrieve it and everyone was very helpful.

I booked a car with fuel service option.They didnt have a car with a full fuel tank. So they say they will give me the money back for the fuel service option. But no! A the return we have to discuss to a very unfriendly mrs. “She should be the boss.” After a long discussion they say they will send us the money for a tank of fuel back home. Its never arrived!The car was good.

Terrible experience involving the attitude of staff and customer service from the Seattle Downtown depot following my recent 3 week fly drive holiday in the USA. I cannot advise anyone to use this depot. The problems continued further in the rental period with conflicting messages sent by e mail from the same depot, (all of which I have retained for a forthcoming complaint to be submitted to head office). Staff at the Jackson Hole depot were no better later in the hire period. I spent a lot of money for this experience and wasted a lot of time trying to sort out the mess. Problems continued right up to the return of the vehicle in Salt Lake City airport where they tried to levy an extra charge. Thankfully the manager at the depot there managed to remove that, but only after my complaint that it should not be made and after he finally managed to get in touch with the Seattle Downtown depot. (The proof I was right was in my hand and there to be seen). In my country such an attempt to obtain money could be viewed as a criminal offence of trying to obtain money by deception. This company has some serious issues which need to be addressed very quickly. If Alamo read these reviews, stand by, I will be corroborating everything I have written here. Hopefully directly to the person ultimately in charge.

Great things:-Asked for an economy car, got a great premium car instead, at least Nissan altima felt way more premium than the small Mitsubishi Mirage I was supposed to get.-their policy is to pickup the car with 3/4ths of the tank full and give it back 3/4ths full just the same. We were given a full tank instead, so we got extra gas. Was very kind of them so we chose to give the car back with a full tank as we found it initially.-very kind staff, easy going and gave full instructions on what to do to give it back.-a great price, unbeatable if you do it onlineConclusion :Ill be renting a car here again, we were really satisfied and have no reason not to use your services again.

Worst Rental Car company I ever seen. I rent a car for a week for my vacation. As I drove the car for a day, the car was shake too much and it gave me a car sick( I normally dont do car sick). I called 8am to Alamo for car exchange to location near by where Im staying and they told me and confirm the exchange.As soon as I arrive to Alamo, they said its over booked so they dont any car for exchange.I spent more than an hour for nothing and as I called customer service, now they are saying something different. As I explained that I cant go to same place I pick up the car, they asked me to call roadservice for car exchange which will mess up whole my vacation schedule while waiting them to come.And supervisor of Alamo said exchange car from other location isnt alternate option.They need to train their customer service before they treat customer.

We reserved a mid-size SUV from the downtown Seattle office for June 11th for a 9-day trip from Seattle to Los Angeles. When we arrived, our car was not ready. After a lengthy delay preparing our car, we finally were able to start our trip. Immediately after leaving the garage, the low tire pressure light went on and we returned to the office. Our car was quickly replaced by a brand new vehicle. We were extremely impressed with Judy who was very responsive to our needs and made the necessary adjustments to our billing to compensate for the problems and inconvenience we experienced.Shortly after leaving the garage with the new car, I checked the tire pressure and discovered all tires were inflated to 45 psi; 33 psi is the recommended tire pressure. I reduced tire pressure in all tires to the recommended pressure and the rest of the trip went well. The only issue we experienced in the new car was the rear window washer did not work.When I returned the car in Los Angeles, our billing had to be corrected as the system did not reflect the adjustments made by Judy in Seattle. The bill was adjusted when I showed the invoice given to me by Judy. I was given a $25 discount coupon for a future rental, but the coupon expires July 14th so it will not be of any value.Overall, Im happy with Alamo and would rent again from them.

Arrived in Seattle On a Carnival,cruise at the airport terminal 91. I had an Alamo car reserved and looked for the Alamo shuttle to pick us up and did not see anyone. We specifically booked the 3rd ave. location Because they picked up at the cruise ports. I tried calling the local number and it was impossible to speak to a live person. Called the 800 number to speak to reps numerous times and was either cutoff or they even tried to speak to the local office and they could not get through. Ended up waiting for a taxi over an hour. They did reimburse us for the taxi and did upgrade us to an SUV. Still very frustrating.

Shuttle from pier took longer than expected but we were kept informed of how long it would be. Pick up from the parking garage was easy. Returning car to the airport was easy and convenient. The only downside was the shuttle bus to the terminal. It was very crowded and you have to load your luggage with you and stand. We were a group of five and had been gone for two weeks so we had luggage and carry on. Overall a good experience.

The manager, Blair (Blaire), is unprofessional, unincorporated, and inexperienced in handling and solving problems. My rental car shrieking with overheated engine so I brought the car in in exchange for similar car. She gave us two options either drive the overheated engine car back to the airport or take one of the two big vans or truck which I repeatedly mentioned that I had never driven before and almost crashed), regardless of their stock availability. One of the employees even said that: "I have faith in you that you can make it to the airport."...I understand that it is busy holiday weekend but putting their bonus/commission over customers safety is not acceptable in any way. I have been a Alamo customer a few times and they have always been exceptionally good, except this one.

The Alamo staff and the service they provided was excellent. The car was clean and ready to go and their shuttle to and from the cruise dock was exceptional. While 3800 other passengers were scrambling around trying to find a way to their next destination, Alamo had a person standing right by the door to direct the van to awaiting customers.

Overall great experience. The lady who helped me book the car on the phone, the gentleman who drove the shuttle between the cruise terminal and the rental location, and the lady at the check-in counter were extremely helpful and courteous. The guy (I think his name is Deniswho was the car retriever, however, was unfriendly. When my husband asked which car was our car, he clicked the button on the car key and said "it is the car thats flashing". It took us some time to see the car because there were quite a few cars in the garage. He could have been more descriptive and told us the color, make and model of the car. Then he explained wed need to go up a level to get a parking ticket which we would use to exit the garage. We saw a station from where we were and wanted to confirm with him thats where we should get the ticket (because he said "go up one level"). Instead of confirming with a "yes, thats it", he stared at us for 4 or 5 seconds and simply repeated "go UP one level", as if we didnt understand what "up" means. Despite that, I still enjoyed the rental experience and will very likely use Alamo again for my next rental.

It was very busy when we got there after our cruise on a Sunday morning. I reserved a full size car, but none was available. Judy offered me a free upgrade to a SUV, but I declined. Since I had a few luggage, I prefer to have a car with a trunk. She told me that it may take a few minutes, but I will get the next returning full size car. She went on and assisted other customers. About 5 minutes later, a full size car pulled up on the return lane. After her associate did the usually inspection for damages and gas level, she immediately drove the car to the back for cleaning. As she passed by me in the area, she told me that they are cleaning the car and will be ready in a few minutes. Five minutes later, I was on the road.Although the whole process took about 20 minutes, the fact that Judy was very courteous, efficient and showed that she cares made the experience much better.

I shopped for the best price and Alamo had it. I was surprised to find out there was a free shuttle from the cruise ship to Alamo in downtown. There was pandemonium upon disembarking but I found a guy who was checking in people for the next van. We waited about a half hour (not too bad considering the crowdfor the next shuttle. Check in was fairly quick and they had the minivan we reserved. We used the car for four days and returned it to the airport without incident. My only complaint was that there was no conversation about an ez-pass for highway tolls. I expect to receive a bill for at least one that I went through.

Very convenient pick up at Pier 91, the cruise ship dock. They shuttled us to the downtown location where we picked up the car. The car was a Jeep Patriot which we liked. Drove over 300 miles than left it at the SEA TAC airport. Great shuttle service there too. All for a very reasonable cost. Very friendly and helpful staff, and very efficient. All in all, a great experience.

Had some special requirements for a 10-day rental. Alamo in Downtown Seattle said all was good, and it was. No surprises. Very helpful and friendly answering my questions on the phone (3 calls to Seattleplus they accommodated an early pick-up on May 1st to avoid May Day festivities and expected anarchist protests.Alamo said extending the rental was no problem, just call. I had to extend the rental and did it via satellite messaging as there was no cell reception nearby. They took care of it.Pickup and return was quick and hassle-free, although I do agree the downtown Seattle parking garage location can be confusing for those unfamiliar with it.

My experience with Alamo driving from Portland to Seattle was great. I found this location to be a little tricky to find with all of the pedestrians and one way streets but the staff were very friendly and helpful. If you did not prepay for fuel and are returning to this location get gas before you enter downtown. I had to return the car with half a tank because I did not find any stations near by. I let the Alamo employee know that I would have to pay the extra fees because I didnt top it off and he said he would split the cost with me. I would recommend doing business with Alamo to anyone that is considering renting a car in the Seattle area.

I got a mid sized car on rent fro WA 98101 Almo location. The person on counters were very efficient and helpful. Car was also very neat and clean. Everything went fine. But I have one complaint. My car return time was 1015 am on 20 Oct 2015. On that day there were excessive traffic jams due to fog and poor visibility. I tried my best to reach in time at the rental office but could not. At 10 am I told the rental office through phone call that I will be slightly late. But they were ruthless and charged me extra $ 52 for being late only for 45 minutes. Normally most companies are considerate for such situations and sometimes they dont charge extra and sometimes for extra minutes are very nominal. that brought a bad taste at end of a nice trip.

It was a pleasure renting from Sean Cissna, the manager of the downtown Seattle location. I had to change my return trip due to personal matters and he worked with me, was able to correct the dates and make sure that the contract was current and reflected the changes. It made dropping off the car very easy, even with an early drop off prior to the office being open. I also received a great car, Ford Focus, that was new, everything worked well, easy to learn, equipped with everything needed to be comfortable.I have never had a bad experience with Alamo and have been renting since 1983 but this time the personal service was excellent and needed a recommendation.

We had a rental set for 10 days in Seattle, when we went to pick up the car the offices were closed and we had to go into the garage. When we finally found the booth we had to wait almost 45 minutes for a car as they were "being washed". I have never before had to wait for a rental car whether Nationa, Enterprise, Hertz or others, and even Alamo in Cincinnati. This was an odd experience, they did give us an upgrade which rode quite well without any issues and I will rent from Alamo again, but hopefully not waste my time.
