Not a fancy playground, but a little bit of everything. Beautiful walking paths, 1 tennis court, 12 pickleball courts, 2 disc golf courses, summer pool, soccer field, pavilion, and good people! I intentionally left off sharing pictures to inspire curiosity. Come and see!
Wonderful disc golf courses. Two 18 hole courses a beginners but technically challenging and a advanced with long holes, water, and trees. A great day of golf.
Great for disc golf, but watch out for the poison ivy, which is prevalent around the base of trees.
It was a nice clean park with different areas to spread out and explore. The swimming facility looked clean and fun for all ages.
This review is about the pool. The price for entry is easy on the wallet for large families. There is a snack bar. You can also bring your own food and drinks. Life jacket’s are available if you need to borrow one. Swim toys are okay. There is a toddler area, with water features slides, fountains. One life guard continuously circles this pool area. The big pool, has a diving board, and a water slide. You must be 5’ to go on the slide. No exceptions. In the big pool there is an area of water 3’6” deep section, good for first learning swimmers. The lifeguards are continually practicing drills, we saw three drills while we were there for the afternoon. Shade is limited but available. The only thing negative I have to report is the showers are not working. But overall we enjoy going to this pool several times a week.
Nice pickleball courts. Plenty of parking.
Came only for the disc golf, but it was a nice little course, nothing fancy but had some challenges. Flow was a little complicated but made good use of trees.
Always a good time
Its great to have a public pool available. It just needs a little maintenance to be perfect. Some of the awnings are torn, such as the one on the slide platform. Attention to those details, and having someone on staff to make sure theres soap in all the bathroom dispensers and tp in all the stalls, would make this a five star experience. More umbrellas for shade and more loungers in general would be helpful. When I was there, there was music playing on large speakers, which was fun and enjoyable, and there was a sprinkler going to add to the fun and to probably cool down the pavement.
Rented a shelter for Memorial day family get together and another family was using it. But we worked it out. We like this park because of the location, the trail, the playground equipment and proximity to a nice bathroom.
Pretty good beginner disc golf course: can be a touch crowded, but generally well maintained
This park has truly matured into a much sought-after attraction. With its winding trails guiding you through frisbee golf, taking you to the tennis courts past the baseball fields and to the basketball courts and of course In the Heat of the summer pause to dive into Oaklands swimming pool. Both on and off course, whether youre a sports enthusiast or a lover of purely raw nature or just curious about everything in between This old Park is surely to stun you if you just take a moment to actually look and see. And for you late evening walkers slow your pace so the growing family of deer will come within feet of you without fear!
What a great place to just escape the everyday. The park has everything from disc golf, pickle ball courts to walking trails.
Pickle ball courts. Disc golf. Pool in summer. Walking trails with exercise stations along the way. Great place for all activities for family or friends!!
A great public park with a walking trail with moderately consistent traffic. It contains two full 18 hole disc golf courses, which are the most popular courses in Columbia. Any nice day youll run into multiple tee pads of golfers playing.Recently they built a bunch of pickle ball courts and those are always very busy.
Very nice park!!!! Lots of activities, sports fields, disc golf course, trails for your dog, the creek. All very beautiful
Fun little park disc golf exercise trails and equipment basketball court pavilions water fountain restrooms
We stopped and appreciated being able to use the bathrooms on a chilly Saturday morning. Lovely and well maintained park.
Oakland swimming pool was an amazing place to swim at, it was very clean and they had very nice diving boards and restrooms. The lifeguards were very nice there and they had some very good food. I would definitely recommend to go with small children because there is a water area and a tiny swimming pool.
Well marked trails, restroom, large parking lot. Great place for disc golf and dog walks.
Nice pool with an awesome kid section. Theres also a playground, picnic tables, and trails. We go often.
Great place to go for a walk! The trail is paved (concreteand some parts have shade. And the distance is perfect for a stroller walk with my baby. There are tennis court, disc golf, baseball field etc…all sorts of things! I want to try the swimming pool area too! Good for walking my dog too.
Its been a few years since we been here. Plus cause of COVID everything just been weird and messing up things being opened last year.... It was a great time this day. They only have it where they got 2 sessions. 1st is from 12pm to 2pm then 2nd is 2:30pm to 4:30pm. We went on a Sunday June 13th and it was packed but what you expect with this pool being the only outdoor pool open in columbia now atm (at the moment).... We enjoyed our self for the 2 hrs and left. I recommend this pool and park too! I would say if you want to get a good spot like a table or something, get there a lil bit early and stand in line so you can go get a decent spot to sit you and your family/friends at.
I always enjoy coming here to Oakland Park its always well maintained has frisbee golf tennis courts playgrounds it has a pool but its not open the people are always friendly its a great place to bring the kids family and a dog
Went this past weekend. Extremely packed. There was at least 4 drownings within the first hour A football being thrown that ended up hitting a handicapped lady. Fist fight between 2 men in the pool. Very dramatic the first 45 mins of being there
This park is a multi-use gem offering swimming, tennis, pickleball, an 18-hole disc golf course, walking trail with fitness equipment, picnic shelters and baseball diamond along with two playgrounds for kids. It adjoins Bear Creek Trail, part of Columbias fantastic trail system which spans 4 parks between Albert-Oakland Park and Cosmo Park.
I go almost daily to help my toddler learn to walk. It has tennis courts, pickle ball courts, a soccer field, disc golf, and plenty of trail to walk on. If you stay in the park and dont head down Bear Creek Trail, the walkway is paved and has some exercise equipment. There are also bathrooms, pavilions for gathering, and a playground area. The park appears to be kept fairly clean and well maintained. There is also plenty of parking.
Great park with two sweet disc golf courses, nice walking paths, a public pool, tennis and pickle ball courts, and more
We meet up here to sit and chat. It has a wonderful play area for the younger kids. My kids and Grandkids always loved it. They also have great walking trails to keep you up and moving. Frisbee Golf Course! My roommate enjoys that. Shelters with tables and grills, plus a potty house. They have another shelter with restrooms behind the school, and bbq grills, plus another play area over on the school side also. I believe there is a baseball diamond somewhere in the middle area. Great Park and lots of stuff to do and enjoy!
I go here several times a week to practice my handstands, use the pull up bars, run.. work on my 100m dash for VRCM/Skywarn.Its a decent park...
Great neighborhood park whether you play sports, want a playground, a place to walk your dog or play Pokémon Go. There are tennis/pickleball courts, softball and Frisbee golf along with a pool in summer.
Great for bike rides. Frisbee golf, Pool next door, expansive walking trails. Playground. Could use a bit more maintenance. All in all a decent place.
This park features a paved fitness trail, a disc golf course and lighted sports fields/tennis courts. It also an anchor for the Bear Creek Trail which one can use to hike or bike all the way to Columbia Cosmopolitan Recreation Area.
This park has six dedicated pickleball courts, two disc golf courses, and an exercise trail, to name a few features. This is a great park.
Great course(s. Front 18 is a more technical short range course . Mostly midrange and putters used with a few holes needing a driver. The back 18 hole course is more open and has longer drives. Definitely a driver course for the majority. More open fairways on the back 18. Teebox size on both courses are very large and signs at every hole letting you know the basket locations for that hole. Dont leave your disc behind at this course! Mine have never been returned.
This park is wonderful for running, going gone walks with friends, and just getting outside especially during COVID. I have not tried but have heard wonderful things about the disc golf course, pickleball and tennis courts, and the aquatic area.
Great outdoor space. Tennis courts, Frisbee golf, pool, hiking trails, etc. Lots to do!
Great park, plenty of amenities, very fun disc golf course, pickleball courts, nice walking trails....there is a lot to do at this park.
I love going and walking the paths for exercise. The park itself is well maintained, however when I needed to use the restroom, it was grossly unsanitary. There was urine, fecal matter, and toilet paper on toilet, urinal, walks and floor. It seemed to not have been cleaned in quite some time.
Has great scenery and isnt too crowded. One of the things that make it unique is the exercise stations you can find along the trail. My kids would have hating going to the gym with me, but they liked walking that trail
My husband and I hadnt been on this trail yet--it is by far our favorite one for a walk with the dogs. It is paved through the nature area and theyve cut the trees back just enough that you wont get covered in ticks on your walk.
My family loves going to Oakland Pool! We have been enjoying it every week this summer. Its clean, welcoming, super fun, and very safe. Theres always some shade to rest in and our kiddos have plenty to do. Good snack bar, though you can bring your own too. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Its our favourite local summer place.
Albert-Oakland Park, is jam-packed with fun activities, beginning with the Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center and pool. There are also 3 reservable shelters, 2 lighted baseball/softball fields a basketball court a creek and nature area, 2 18 hole disc golf courses, 2 playgrounds, 2 soccer practice fields, 3 lighted tennis courts, 3 pickleball courts, located at the tennis courts, a 1-mile multi-purpose hard surface trail, a fitness circuit with 11 exercise stations, 3 sand volleyball courts, 2 of which are lighted, the Bear Creek Trail trailhead, and a single table picnic shelter near the pool. The park is well maintained and beautifully landscaped, and a great place for a family outing.
Beautiful disc golf course, nice paved hiking trails throughout, multiple playgrounds for kids, exercise equipment throughout park. Very nice park with many other sporting venues.
Awsome park to walk around and spend the day enjoying a slice of nature. An assortment of things to do from ball fields to pickle ball to tennis. Also has 2 disc golf courses attached to it if you are into the sport. Would definitely recommend to anyone :)
Nice big park with a basketball hoop. Its the next right off road that leads to park with tennis courts, so stay straight and pass park on right and then make your first right and go for about 20 seconds and youll see thee basketball court. I Went there specifically to play basketball. There is one court, both hoops have nets that are metal. Court surface was pretty good overall to play on just casually. Ill be going back again
This park has two main entrances; Im starting with the grassly knoll softball area first (Edris Drive & Oakland Gravel). Id call it an Activities Area practically-functionally.-Full Pavilion with Amenities, BBQ Grill-Lighted softball field-Kids play areas are very safe; there are also "grown-up free tunnels-Basketball court-Sand volleyball court-Small soccer practice areaI honestly wish I had two Parks to review here! Both will receive high grades.I lived near this park without ever visiting the "ballpark" part. I really like it—very easy to keep track of kids even when busy. Basketball courts are always a plus. Nice Pavilion but does have reservations list. Also flying-stinging insects likely. Well lighted at night. This is the first side entrance.
Beautiful park with tons to do for the whole family, something for everyone. Better in the warmer months of course to take advantage of everything and see the flowers blooming in Spring. Little kids might get bored quickly though.
Went to the frisbee golf course. It is perfect for beginners with shorter holes. Some of the holes are difficult to find their baskets. The park overall is very beautiful. Itll be helpful to take a picture of the board at the beginning so you can reference where every hole is
It looks really cool , for the older kids it is but for the little kids they really cant play like they want ! The water that blows out on the play equipment is too strong for the little kids and is always in their face non stop! My daughter was unable to play on equipment and shes a tough girl and loves water parks ! The food to choose from is not healthy at all just junk food ! Other than that its a pretty cheap and nice place to go for summer fun !
