I love this place affordable 😍 and she saved my baby Zena the recovery signs were instantaneous witch may not be for some cases but I trust them with my babies the doctor truly cares about animals I whole heartedly recommend Alpine with every ounce of my being
First time going into the clinic and I honestly couldnt be more annoyed, upset and unsatisfied..I DO NOT RECOMMEND. From the beginning the receptionist was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. The place smells of urine and feels very old and outdated. Dr. Cross was very condescending and made me feel like I was doing everything wrong ("dont put the box there", "youre not holding her right", "Im not going to get her out of the cage", etcand she did a very minimal wellness check up on my cat and that was it. No sympathy, no room for questions, no interest in the wellbeing of my cat whatsoever. It was honestly heartbreaking that someone who you thought would care, couldnt have cared less.
I agree with the multiple reviews here. This vet is rude, careless and the place does feel dirty. The vet was almost upset at us because our cat didnt like to be handled. She wasnt gentle at all and made the cat very uncomfortable. she wasnt thorough and just said that she looked fine. The front desk person was extremely rude as well. They gave us antiflea medication without any instructions and this person clearly was miserable at their job. She was not welcoming at all.The place didnt feel clean. It was very stinky, and nothing smelled like it had been disinfected.
Great place to take your dog.
Alpine takes very good care of my dogs when I bring them. I highly recommend this vet to others with fur babies.
Mask required or no service, been a customer for over 10 years. As of 5/2/22 I took my business to another vet in Davison.
Have u heard the old saying I wouldnt take my dog there,I rest my case. The veterinarian was was beyond rude.
They truly care about your pets well being. Always have. Thats why I love this place.
I took my puppy in who is 8 months old. A different vet had checked her out and cleared her for surgery. I took our puppy to Alpine Animal Hospital to do a standard procedure to get her fixed. 2 hours later they called me at work to let me know my puppy died through the procedure. Then when my husband came to pick up our puppys body. They told my husband that he needs to wear a mask in their place of business. No concern for us that they just killed our puppy but was concerned and mad he did not have a mask. No compassion. These ladies that run this are very old and should not be in business.
My grandma has been bringing her animals to this place for 20 plus years and really like the vet in the beginning. Over the last 4 years the vet has become extremely rude and honestly mean. She is not caring and sympathetic towards the animals she is supposed to be caring for. I last week brought a cat in there because I knew something was wrong and it was the only place that could see her right away. The vet told me she looked perfectly healthy and other then becoming blind out of nowhere she found nothing wrong. She didnt even really check her out just had her walk around and looked in her eyes to tell me what I already knew she couldnt see. Well I made an appointment at another vet and I find out NY cat has a massive mass in her stomach and is dying. At that point surgery was not an option as she had been suffering for a week longer and extremely dehydrated. I had to put my cat down when a week prior the vet told me she was perfectly healthy. But she wasnt she suffering and in pain for longer then necessary. Dont ever bring your animals here!
Took my poor boy in to be euthanized. An excruciating decision. They didnt use enough medicine and it took forever. Horrible, horrible experience! What should have been 5 seconds took 5 minutes and he suffered the entire time.
I began using Dr Cross back in 1984. She was just beginning her practice back then. I really liked her and how she cared for my animals. Over the years I have had numerous dogs and cats and have been very loyal to Dr Cross. But my last couple times there she has been very rude to me and not very caring or gentle towards my animals. She makes diagnoses before even examining the animal. She rarely does any lab work anymore. She spoke down and demeaning to me and I just got the feeling she was burnt out on her work and needs to retire. The exam room is never really clean (today the counter area had something black all over itand never does it smell as if it has been cleaned or disinfected. Her clothing and face mask were dirty as well. The receptionist is not very customer service savvy and pretty rude herself. This office has just become very unprofessional and after 40 years of loyalty I think its time to find someplace else.
My elderly Mother took her cat there because of increased drinking and urination. The cat is 12 years old and could have medical issues that need diagnosing and taken care of as to not let animal suffer due to not getting the right care. Andrea Cross was very rude and judgmental with no testing (blood or urineand told Mom to take away her water. There was no physical exam but it was billed. If this is normal care, that DVM shingle to be taken down.
Vet was very rude and rough with my cat. The office smelled like feces and urine, the scale was disgusting, the room was even worse, the vets mask was brown and stained, the whole place was unsanitary. If I could give zero stars I would horrible place.
We’ve only been here a few times, and the staff has always been nice. It does have a bad smell when you walk in. It makes you feel dirty instantly. There was fur and what looked like pee near the entrance. I started to worry about how sanitary it was based off the smell. I like this place because they are a bit cheaper than other vets, but I don’t think I can return based off the questionable cleanliness.
my wife and i brought our pet here and had a simple surgical procedure to be taken care of. well he took ill shortly there in afterwards. i alerted them that he had taken ill and brought him in to have his "issue" dealt with and to be taken care of. We were barely given little more than a cursory look over, no offer of considering blood work, temperature check or anything that may have lead to a solution to our pets ailment. we were given some meds and sent on my way. his health began to decline, they did not wish to see him further they just increased the level of medication to a stronger dose. to say that i am unhappy with their services is an understatement. my pet died today in my arms due to their callous and unfeeling nature and lack of proper care that could have prevented this loss to our family. i would not recommend this "animal hospital" to my worst enemy. my normal veterinarian was appalled at the lack of treatment and services that were not rendered onto my little one. that when i described what issues he was dealing with they hit me with an immediate volley of problem solving tests and such that could have easily prevented this tragedy, to say they were sickened personally and professionally would be a gross understatement on their behalf.
The Dr. here totally took her time with us and explained everything in detail and was just so relaxed and it was just a Great experience with our little kittie.Thank u Alpine!
Absolutely refused to let me in the building without a face mask. I’m not medically tolerant to wear a mask and was refused entry. This is discrimination when all orders and health department mandates have specific exemptions for people with medical intolerances. Very disappointed with their customer service and we will not be back.
I have been with them since I came to flint in 98. They are caring and nice
It smelled terrible the second I walked in. For some reason they dont take CareCredit any more either. The vet, I assume she was the vet because she never identified herself or had a name tag, was rude and condescending to me. Her shirt had stains on it. I wont go back.
Disgusting office, im not sure how they are still in business. Old outdated and unsanitary. Rude, mean, bullies. The receptionist & the doctor. I dont know how to describe them other than "shady". Uneasy feeling in their presence. I told the doctor to let go of my dog twice during the exam. She was forceful & got a kick out of being authoritive & powerful over my 5 lb dog. Unsanitary building. Should be shut down. Something evil is within those walls. 1st time in an emergency situation. Last time too.
Amazing food , I must say it is the best burger I have ever had.
I got two kittens a few weeks ago from the Humane Society. I took them to Alpine for their first checkup and the staff was absolutely amazing.
If I could give negative stars I definitely would. The woman receptionist is absolutely horrible at her job and very rude. I made an appointment for my animal to be fixed and shots given. When there for the appointment shots were not given but the animal was fixed. When called to asked why this happened the woman started screaming at me tell me I was wrong even tho theres no proof of shots. Absolutely horrible place! I cant apologize to my animal enough because if they talk to me like that....what makes me believe they were nice when i was not around!
Not only is Dr. Cross one the best Vets Ive been to but Claudia cares about our babies just as much and it shows. I highly recommend them.
Quickly seen, affordable pricing, Ive been coming to this vet for a long time and will keep coming back!
I spent a ton of money this summer on my pets getting their vaccinations, rabies and heartworm up to date. My dog was attacked by another dog within minutes of leaving our appointment. I called at 4:30 to bring her back for care, my pet needed stitches and antibiotics. They refused to see her. I am done with this vet. No empathy for my pet at all.
Affordable pricing, good vet. Took adopted stray in to get checked out. $53 total for bot fly larva removal, and antibiotics for uri. Reception is very nice and helpful. Vet is knowledgeable and no nonsense.
Been taking pets here over 20 yrs & no complaints. Great Dr and staff. They are NOT about pushing meds or unneeded tests. Very reasonable prices. They genuinely care about whats best for our pets.
Best and only Veterinarian I will take our dog too!
My cat needed surgery right away and the vet was very nice and reassuring about it. Got her in ASAP even during all of the covid-19. Price was lower than I had seen/heard from other businesses (ones that were even open). The atmosphere was much warmer than anywhere I’ve been. Straight to the point and very friendly. Receptionist also 10/10. Highly recommend!
Very nice and helpful. Got me right in. Price was fair. 🐕🐩🐶🐾🐈🐱
Take great care of my Yorkie. Been going for over six years. Very nice staff.
I had been a customer for a couple years , I Live 5 minutes from the clinic. My dog had been in a fight with a coyote and she had her neck pretty much tore out. It happened at a quarter to 5.00 In the afternoon . They told me I would have to take her to emergency clinic. I called Grand Blanc Veterinary Hospital and doctor Conquest said he would wait for me. They have been my vet ever since!! I never liked taking my dog to Alpine anyway the veteran was very rude and I could tell my dog didnt like her.
Been very good to my animals but can be pretty pricey.
always nice I love this office and have used for years
The doctor is very rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. She yelled at me because I couldn’t hold my puppy down on the table. She was not helpful at all she only seen my puppy for 5 minutes and did absolutely nothing. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
The folks at Alpine are fantastic! They are very compassionate and caring. "The Doc" is very nice and extremely gentle with your pet. The receptionist is absolutely wonderful and cheerful. Their prices are comparable, but their service is unmatched and is what will keep me going back for a long time. Thank you folks!
They always give good care at a fair price.
I have my 2 dogs go there and the ladies are always nice and keep you informed on everything before snd after services.☺🐾🐺🐺
My 8 Month puppy was abused 2/14/2019 by the doctor causing my puppy to cry out from pain. I told her that is abuse and I have seen videos of vets abusing their patients/pets and that I do not want her assisting my dogs anymore. I told her receptionist Kim that I should prosecute the dr.. for abusing my puppy. Exactly what I am going to do. Do not go there just because the prices are low. The rugs are always filthy. The scale is nasty. I ask that before I put my two Labs on the scale that it is cleaned off. The dr. has a wishy washy attitude. Go some wgete else. Please be cautious of this place. If you go video tape the way your pets are handled.
Love this vet, theyre very caring and thoural.
We love Alpine this is our regular vet. Able to get in to see the Dr.when there has been emergency situations quickly.
Knowledgeable, caring people. Update, these are great people. Today my dog passed away and these folks were with me all the way. God bless you two.
This place is all about giving the best care and advice for your animals. Its a small office doing everything possible to keep their prices competitive. Its not about gouging your pocket book when your pet is sick or hurt. Alpine gets directly to the point and doesnt push for unnecessary testing. Ive been a customer with cats and several dogs for over 20 years.
Called and made an appointment the same day, in and out very quickly, and the staff was so wonderful with our cat & gave us helpful advice. Great experience (:
First off, I walked in and the place smelled like hideous diahreah. I almost threw up.It was so so bad. The smell was so horrible. I understand that it is a vet tho so I tried dealing with it. It was the end of the day and I was the only one there. The receptionist had set me up with a 4:30 appt. The moment vet called my name back however, she was GRUMPY, ANGRY, MEAN and had a horrible attitude. She acted like she didnt want me there. Grumbled out instructions at me like she was a drill Sargent. Acted like I RUINED HER DAY BY BEING THERE. Bad attitude from the first SECOND. Then she looked at notes and the notes were all wrong. Okay. That happens. However, she got mad at that too. Then she mumbled, complained and grumbled out loud about his FIV, about third parties like rescues wanting opinions, etc. She bad mouthed the rescue lady sponsoring the cats medical. She wanted to ask her questions on the phone because she was worried this foster had the same issue as her cat due to all the same signs. Vet began telling me she didnt want to talk to her to begin with and barked about that. What is the big deal? She is paying the fees and has a question. Wow. Then as she was talking to her on the phone asking her to please check his throat and ears because she was worried he had a polyp...she shoved the phone back at me and said she wasnt talking to her. She told me to talk to her. So I did. She barked at me to take the cat out. She grabbed his mouth to look inside. He started choking and freaked out. (He is a very calm catHe jumped down still choking because of his condition and hissed at her and tried scratching her at that point so I just put him back. As I was repeating on the phone what she was saying...we were trying to decide whether to do steroids or get a second opinion because she was being so mean. She complained again about third party rescues. She put her hand up and told me she is thru and to let her know if we want steroids or not when we were ready. She walked out on us. She grumbled the whole way. She hadnt even been on the phone a minute with her when she shoved it back at me. (she was the one paying the bill. I was fostering. So she has a right to ask her somethingAt this point I myself and the one paying were both really angry because we could hear everything she was saying and how she was acting. She left the room and I asked what we should do. The vet walked back in as I was saying how angry I was. I was so angry at the situation. The person on the phone thought the vet acted like an idiot and vented that to me. I agreed that she was not kind at ALL. BUT for the sake of the cat we took the steroids so he didnt have to wait another day. The vet tried to apologize and said I just hate third parties at which I told her "No! It wasnt about that!! You acted like you were MAD at me the MOMENT we stepped foot into YOUR building. You grumbled, mumbled, complained, barked orders at me and acted like you hated me from the first second. I didnt even know what I did to MAKE you mad. Then she apologized and tried to blame it on the bad note taking but that wasnt the truth either because she was mean before she ever even LOOKED at the notes. She wouldnt evwn say hi to me when I said hi. Very GRUMPY. So, she must not care about keeping clients because she treated me and the cat and our sponsor like DIRT the whole entire time we were there.....and wasnt even nice to the cat. She just LOST any future business from me or my friends for her UGLY ATTITUDE. She acted like she didnt want a 4:30 client. Sorry, but that was what was offered to me so I took it. If you dont want a 4:30 appt then dont make one or cancel it! Because treating CUSTOMERS like they are a NUISANCE to you is wrong. We are NOT a nuisance. We are your business. It isnt the first time either you have been grumpy! But it IS the last because we did NOT DESERVE YOUR ROTTEN ATTITUDE and wont be back. Paid for RUDE SERVICE! The receptionist is a sweet and kind hearted person tho. If anyone comes back its because of HER not the vet.
the doctor is awesome shes got a very good heart she cares about animals
Knowledgeable, practical, and compassionate. The Alpine staff and doctors are a treasure.
I have been at Alpine Anmial Hospitial with my pets sense I was looking at a sheltie, and it was the only vet I could find that checked her age for me free. I bought the sheltie, and another, and when they passed I have 3 more dogs and a cat. I have always been impressed with the way my pets were treated. I have had all my pets fixed there, teeth cleanings, shots and upkeep. I was with another vet when I wanted to know the age of the sheltie, had been with him for years. He was going to charge me, quite a bit for the checking of the age of the dog. I felt like at Alpine it wasnt just about the money. They wanted to see the dog placed if it was the right home. Ive always felt they care and love animals.
