clean, spacious rooms. amazing food and great hospitality. great for families or lone travellers. Right in the middle of town with everything you need close by.

The staff and service was excellent.. the manager saw our motorcycles in the street and insisted we park them inside his garage - by moving his car out first. The barmaid overhead me talking about seeing a doctor (arm injuryand offered assistance with directions to NSW Health Cooma Hospital. A big thanks to the staff there too!The rooms and shared bathrooms are very clean and comfortable. Conveniently located 2 minutes walk to restaurants, supermarket etc.Love the historic photos of the 1949 snow storm, hydro development and the early snow sports.Great value accommodation with the best hot showers.

Very comfortable rooms here with great service from check-in to checkout. Good location. Good restaurant with good selection of food and drinks.

Not happy with this Alpine Motel we arrived got our keys and there was an old man in our room not pleasant to find someone in our room booked a month ago it’s , not organised at all, and the beds are old and have old mattress they need to get the booking correct and freshen up the rooms

Check out the new beer garden and wood oven pizza.....very very good.

One hour wait for an expensive steak... ordered a medium rare steak, waited for almost an hour, and gave me a burnt well done steak, $41 with sauce, aint cheap for a bar bistro, will never go back again.

Friendly staff and a good pub feed.

Had dinner there after a day of snowboarding. It was just what we needed. The wood-fired pizza was amazing! Delicious sourdough crust, quality ingredients and great size. I wish had easier access to try the other pizza options too.

Great place to stay en route to snowys. Managers/staff super helpful and friendly! Good pub and drinks! Good prices for basic rooms (heating snd electric blankets). Some noise from road/toilets but not more than what’s expected in an old aussie hotel! No kettle or cooking in room (pretty standard for basic hotels but just FYI)! Plenty of cafes and restaurants in area open early! Will stay again!

Theyve done at awesome job at renos. The woodfire pizza in the back bar is amazing. Couldnt recommend more.

What can I say, Michael and all the staff are amazing. Travelled through and stopped for lunch, travelled to Cooma and stayed multiple times. Each time as good as the last.Food = ExcellentAtmosphere = ExcellentBeer = ExcellentService = ExcellentThanks and see you soon

No kettle or microwave for use. They want us to buy expensive food. Near by fish and chips rescued us. Not let us use microwave or kettle to make milk for our toddlers. We had kids aged 6m, 1y, 2y and 3y. They didnt care.

Bad service. I stayed for 2 nights. I requested them second day to clean room. They said they will, but did nothing. Very loud voices all night. No common kitchen for use.

CARD DETAIL NOT SAFE. Charged extra $300 and never send me pictures of what happened even after many requests.Kitchen was there but we were not allowed to use microwave and kettle even for our toddlers milk. Bought kettle for kids milk and they considered it cooking. They want us to buy their expensive food.Room smells bad and loud voices all night. Have to park at distance to stay overnight.I did selected this hotel after seeing reviews. After going through reviews thoroughly I feel they give service to specific people they like, a bit racist.I hope it reaches management so they work on their service.THIS MIGHT BE A GOOD PUB, DEFINITELY NOT A GOOD PLACE TO STAY.

Not a good place to stay overnight. Loud voices all night. Microwave, kettle not allowed to use even for toddlers. No shampoo in toilet.

Eaten here many times on the way to the Snow. Great food and love the buzz. Have not been since Covid hit, going again this Friday!

Delicious pizza, very supportive staff. Live band almost every Saturday.

Place is nice but experience was so so.Food is a bit expensive for a bistro, for the price, youd expect something that doesnt look like it came out of a frozen box from Coles, 28 bucks for a schnitzel with no flavour with half cooked chips.Customer service was good besides one fellow who had no interest in being there or serving if it meant engaging with a customer or two to see what drink theyd like.

Went to the pub for dinner and all the staff were so kind and helpful, was an amazing atmosphere and they have the best chips Ive ever eaten! Would definetly recommendThanks!

Nearly fully booked with only a small room with 2 single beds and shared bathrooms down the hallway. Everything beautifully clean. Loved the ambience of the hotel and Bar. Restaurant dinner we had was first class!

This has been a regular stop for us for years. But now actively CHOOSES discrimination!!Whilst I could have produced my passport I will never to frequent a venue that supports in segregation.Won’t be stopping here again.

Came to the pub for dinner. Restaurant staff were friendly . I love my steak Blue,and I NEVER get a good steak…. But tonight was different! It’s was perfect !!! Tender and tasty ! Really impressed. Well priced and good size meal. Very happy. Totally recommend

Rude bartender asking for vaccination certificate. Although I’m double vaccinated, the hotel has chosen to only allow entry to vaccinated patrons and further build a divide between citizens. First and only beer consumed here.

Fantastic boozer, great food and welcoming staff. Secure overnight motorcycle storage. Great room rates, super clean rooms with shared bathrooms. Great base for a Snowys ride.

Had a great time. The food was average. Service was too slow. They even forgot to make our pizza 🙄

this is the only place weve ever been asked to see a vaccination certificate and we dont support businesses that discriminate. they had such an unfriendly person at the door. what a shame... it makes the whole town feel a little less appealing. we were happy to spend our money elsewhere.

Tried to come in for some food (I havent received the certificate for my second vaxand was abruptly, rudely and unapologetically turned away for not being vaccinated even after NSW vaccination restrictions have been lifted. Will never eat or drink here again. The two other pubs down the road do not support segregation, happy to spend my money there.

Massive serving size! Standard pub food taste so if you like greasy delicious food then this one is for you.

Motorcycle friendly pub, provides secure off street parking for you bike. Recently refurbished beer garden, and a top quality restaurant.Rooms are basic with a shared bathroom, which all add to the old school country pub feeling.

Popped in this afternoon for a quick lunch. Food was lovely, salad fresh and drinks cold. Easy access and parking out the front of the hotel, makes it easy to stop in for a meal!Staff enforced the COVID policy which is also good to see!!!

Stopped by for a lunch after a weekend away on the way back home. That’s what a burger is meant to be. Crispy bacon, great sauce, eggs was just the right amount of runny ! Superb feed.

I was passing through and decided to stop in for lunch. Walked through the front door and all I got was attitude, a simple "Hi how are you?" Horrible service!.Waiting over 20 minutes to order had to go up the to ladies that was watching us the whole time and told me to go back to the table when I tired to order at the desk and she will service me when she’s ready but they only standing there on there phones, we waited over an hour for food with a child that was screaming because he was hungry..I’m pretty sure one of the lady’s was named Ella

Loved staying here, rooms simple but cosy. All the staff were wonderful. Food was excellent, even when we had a issue with one of the dishes, it was fixed immediately, no fuss. We stayed in a room (rm27that had2 single beds and shared bathroom. Bathroom was clean and tidy and rooms serviced daily with fresh towels and soap, would recommend this place and certainly stay again myself.

3 stars because of fast service and friendly staff but let me tell you ........ I ordered medium rare rump steak with mash and veggies... I got steak that was overcooked to point that it had a texture of a shoe rubber and veggies were so raw that it tasted like they are fresh from the field , still had the taste of dirt on them ! But its all good just I understand after a long day of work you can mix up steak with veggies and cook it the other way around. I mean I sometimes mix up the hammer and level and use them the opposite way so I cant blame .. I ones used screws as nails , it took me half day before I understood I had to use a rattlegun to get them in not a hammer

Great rescue! We arrived with what we thought was a booking from Bookings.com only to find it had been cancelled. The whole region was booked out due to the long W/end so we were quite stressed we might be sleeping in the car. Heather the manager was able to find a room on the spot while we were at the bar. She was a real lifesaver, thank you! We stayed for a few drinks & dinner also - great portions. Food & service was awesome.

Disappointed. Upon arrival (4pmwe asked if any bar snacks were available and we were told the kitchen wouldn’t open till 6pm. So had a drink and killed time. We were hungry and the clincher for why we booked the Alpine was because the reviews of the restaurant were great and we liked the idea of being able to eat and then head upstairs to bed. 6pm came around and we headed into the restaurant only to be snapped at and told it was closed for a week and by the same person who checked us in and said that the “kitchen” would be open at 6pm! Turns out by “kitchen” she must have meant a Mexican food truck they had parked up outside (in the freezing cold). Really not impressed that this wasn’t communicated to us prior to our arrival or upon check in and most definitely not impressed with the poor staff attitude. Went to the Indian across the street which I recommend! Room was neat and clean - no issues with that. Won’t be back though.

Quality service from friendly and welcoming staff. Food and drink orders come out quick. Good value for money. The steak is top notch! Great for a lunch, dinner, or a few drinks.

What a great pub. Bar staff remembered our drinks order and were very friendly. Wonderful atmosphere. Busy for dinner but well spaced. Nice place for families to grab a meal.

Once again, top notch. Covid restrictions are being handled very professionally. The menu has been updated with delicious and contemporary meals. Still a good selection of beers on tap and a very pleasant place to have lunch. Highly recommended for travellers and locals alike.

Fantastic food and definitely my go to place on Cooma. The other reviews speak for themselves but Id just thought Id add to it. Had the pork knuckle and it was massive!!! Very good value and they also do trivia night and competitions weekly, even if you come last. We ended up getting vouchers for free dessert and also a free jug of beer! Very vibrant place and Id definitely recommend it to anybody passing by during the peak seasons

Had a really lovely lunch here while visiting from SA. Enjoyed the plentiful crumbed lamb cutlets with delicious potato bake and salad. The bartender was very friendly and helpful and all staff very friendly. Great atmosphere, has been modernised somewhat but hasn’t lost the feel of a great country pub. Will definitely visit again.
