American Mobile Dental in Otsego County

When i went there for my first appointment they were very helpful and i thought it was a good place to go. Now I would not recommend it to anyone. I have been trying for weeks now to call and nobody ever picks up the phone. I have left countless voicemail messages and nothing. This dentist is very unreliable.

Once again I have a mouth full of cavities and I get put down once again. Every dentist I seem to go to around this county these days seems to have the wrong people to care for our county because my teeth are in need of care and my poor father is in bad health and my mom had several heart attacks and she drove for me and this is what I get turned down that the appointment is cancelled due to no confirmation which ghsh never call our house !!! We have an answering machine. I have been to over 5 places now what do you call this ?

Horrible dentist rushes from one room to the other. I paid $500 out of pocket towards a post and crown and the temporary tooth fell out days later and the post snapped off and made my lip bleed. When I returned he was angry that the tooth and post broke , was very nasty and blamed me. He refused to put in a new post and just did the crown. He didnt use enough novacaine and it was painful, I had to stop him, ask for more and he became angry again. The staff was rude and condescending, as was his assistant. I now go to a REAL DENTIST in Albany. Trust me, its well worth the ride. The dentist atAmerican mobile in oneonta travels all the way from Brooklyn to work there a few days a week. Probably because this third rate franchise is the only place that will hire him.

Very kind and friendly staff each time I go. The wait times are often very long and I think they overbook their appointments. Try and get the first appt in the morning. It is worth the long wait times because the dentist is very good. Ive been to several dentist over the years and she is the best one I have gone to. Always professional and very skilled.

Avoid! Called me at 9am saying to call before 11am or they’d cancel my appointment for the following day. What’s worse is they never answer the phone or voicemails!!! They ruined my girlfriends root canal three times! Stay away at all costs

Over the weekend I was a victim of a domestic violence incident that left me needing emergency treatment from a dentist. I work in food service so a lot of my job requires smiling at customers and I couldnt do that. I called my regular dentist and was told I couldnt get in until October. The receptionist recommended American mobile dental. They got me in asap and fixed the tooth that was broken when I was assaulted. Thank you so much for this!

I just started as a new patient today and was so pleasantly surprised! The staff was pleasant ,especially my hygienist and so organized and efficient. I did not expect this after reading several scathing reviews...I only hope that this efficiency continues for my next visit.

This company is horrible, I have called 3-4 times every day for the past few weeks and they never pick up the phone, I leave messages every time as well and never had a call back or response. They messed up a root canal on a tooth as well and never fixed it and said they can’t either. Wouldn’t recommend coming here at all.

This place is a joke. They never answer there phones and they don’t do a good clean worse place ever. My husband went there to get a tooth fixed and they drilled half way through his tooth and left his nerve exposed

DisorganizedInflexibleThey called me 24 hours before my initial visit, informed me after initially telling my they accepted my insurance, that I would have to pay $350 out of pocket and try to get my money back. Didn’t leave me much time to work it out. Still working it thru, and late for the appointment, they informed me that policy was once late, I could never be rescheduled again. Never. Um, ok.Yeah, good luck with this bunch.

The receptionist was very rude my son whos three and have traits of autism had a dental appointment she wanted him to wear the mask and he kept on ripping it off his face and I told her Im really trying and she had a nasty attitude and didnt understand that my son does not like things on his face I wan to them a couple years ago and everyone was nice and respectful and I dont know what happened everything changed

My son is a student at SUNY Oneonta and chipped his tooth. I have to say that AMD made him feel very comfortable, repaired his tooth, and accepted my insurance. I would definitely recommend AMD.

If everytime I got a filling it was that painless, I wouldnt have avoided dentist my whole life. I cant put into words how grateful I am that I can finally go to the dentist again. Im terrible with names, sorry, but dr. S was who I had. Truely a maestro of dentistry.

The office staff is friendly, caring, helpful, knowledgeable and patient. Ive used several DDSs throughout the years and have found them all to be extremely competent, professional and caring.

Was told when I arrived to call and they would being paper wk out. I called and they brought my paper wk as I was filling it out in my car a lady named Deanna called me and asked if I was parked in the parking lot I said yes. She told me to finish my paper wk and move my car to the street. I drove around for 5 min looking for a spot. Very rude right off the bat and have not even entered the building yet.

TMJ appointment here caused my family member excruciating pain. Extremely disappointed and will never recommend to anyone.

My family is regular visitors of AMD Oneonta, NY due to tooth problems. I never have any bad or wrong experience, very co-operative and always ready to help you. Scheduling appointment is always very easy for me. Caring people and have excellent service with very limited resources.

Had my first visit today everyone was kind and courteous....

I wouldnt even give this place a 1-star if I didnt have to give any at all this place is the worst place to go dont go here I had an emergency appointment I ended up missing the emergency appointment and then I called back and have them reschedule the appointment and they said once you miss one appointment you dont get to come back in again okay so theyre denying my business thats a scumbag move dont ever go here they are scumbags

Honestly if I could give no stars that would be the case. This place is a scam. I was talked to very nicely on the phone and told they accepted my insurance. Ive been in chronic pain for a long time, I have an infected tooth and all wisdom teeth coming in. I arrived early like I was supposed to, and still waited 20 extra minutes ...then when I thought the hygienist was ready, she told me she forgot to sanitize the chair and room so I waited another 15 minutes, because apparently it takes that long. I sat there waiting AGAIN in the room, in agony. The dentist came in, did a quick look in my mouth and told me that I needed a root canal, he waited until I traveled 45 mins to the office to say that my insurance didnt cover that. He prescribed me an antibiotic even though I told him I just got off one, not even anything for the pain, which Im still in. Whoever the hygienist is, hates her job, shes rude and miserable and couldnt answer basic questions without an attitude. I plan on taking more action against this place. What a waste of gas money and time,

The worst dental experience ever. Falsely charged my insurance and cost me money in the long run

I had years worth of dental work done at American mobile dental, fillings, root canals, crowns. My teeth that I had fillings on were all sensitive even after first getting them done.. Dr Redi told me it was something “you just have to deal with” because they were large fillings. I broke a tooth over the weekend and tried to book an appointment and couldn’t get in, I ended up going to Aspen where they did all top of the line xrays. All of my fillings from American Mobile Dental need to be redone, as they all have decay under them, as well as my root canals and crowns. (Hence all the sensitivity since day 1). I am beyond upset that this is what I’m dealing with, again, and another almost $6,000 worth of of dental work. I would never recommend this place.

Thank you American Mobile Dental for your help on doing a partial root canal for me!!! I called at 2:05 and they had me in at 3.. She did a partial root canal to stop the pain and built up the tooth so i could smile again! I am moving next week and until i can get in with a new dentist, AMD did what they could to help..

Brought my 3 boys here...we were told no cavities but one of them has an extra tooth..so now he is in Binghampton getting the 4 cavities, he doesnt have, filled and two caps because of dead nerves...with the reviews Ive seen ..this place is just an insurance money grab...ill be reaching out to other parties to press this issue as well..if a business cant do what they are collecting money to do then they should not be in business..this is more like insurance fraud.

Their medical assistant is rude and Dr. Ready was mean and agressive. They need to hire good dentists.

These guys are horrible they made me wait a half hour to get my appointment then tried to rush me out the door. He went so fast with my visit my dentures are uneven and so tight. I cant even wear them. This was on Wednesday so of course I called them thrusday and I got their voice mail like always so I left message. I got a phone call at 7 30 in this morning for the lady to tell me I have to wait until my next appointment because no one can help me. I couldnt even tell you her name cause no one over introduces themselves. These guys are horrible. If I were you reading this I would make an appointment else where. If I could I would take stars away from them.

Not impressed. Tried to reschedule due to a work commitment and was dropped as a client.Apparently, they hold grudges from being late or missed appointments from over 3 years ago. Oh well, plenty of competition. They didnt do much other than charge out the nose anyway.

This dentist is a joke turned my daughter away bc she was five min late. Rude and disrespectful horrible parking btw which is why I was late in the first place. Terrible don’t ever go to them they are not sympathetic what so ever

I went there after going to other dentists. They have a friendly staff and are very efficient. They xrayed and cleaned my teeth, then Dr Lewis came in to evaluate and discuss . These people are extremely efficient. They Dont employ dental monitors...... Great, Super

I just got back from American Mobile Dental after a TWO-YEAR wait for an appointment (this was not their fault; Medicaid is full of potholes and speed bumps).Two years ago at Christmas, an upper molar that my previous dentist had built up with compound had crumbled. After fighting with Medicaid for two years I finally got an appointment with American Mobile Dental and I just got back.The dentist who worked on my tooth two years ago was no longer there; THIS guy did not even LOOK at the tooth; he merely said it needed a crown and my insurance would not cover it. When I tried to ask him how it could be possible that his predecessor did the work on the tooth and it held for two years all he said was "I am not arguing with you" and he walked out of the room.If this office were not the only one in Oneonta that accepted Medicaid I would not only stop going there, I would sue them for failure to practice good dentistry.

Gave my son a root canal and a permanent cap. Cap didnt fit correctly. More pain, office exam indicated that the root canal was a failure. Needed to be re done through cap but needed another insurance authorization. The permanent cap fell off. The office never called with an appointment. 9 months of agony to get him into another dentist. Epic fail.

I called to schedule an appointment and I just spoke to the rudest phone attendant even when I was being nice to her ( Amy ). You should train her. Thanks.

Ive been going to American Mobile Dental for quite some time and Ive been very happy with their service. Ive had mostly cleanings done with some cavities being filled early on.

Friendly, but looked at my daughter said no major issues. She has huge cavities...

I have to say I definitely like this dentist, If you go here, I recommend you seeing Dr. Nelson. He is wonderful. I had tried one of their newer dentists Dr. Ramos and I didt particularly like him. He was very rough and I had some issues with my filling after and during seeing him, I feel as if he didnt do his best since I was an end of the day patient. But I had nothing but wonderful experiences with Dr. Nelson. I would say if you chose this location, Definitely try to get in with him. (though he is normally booked quite full so it may be a wait, but its well worth it in my opinion. )
