The best hostel in Kiev good location, close to vagzol central rail station, walkable distance to metro,bus station. Very clean hostel.book in advance always full.

Staffs behaviour is awful, Specially in reception . No kitchen facility. I Wont ever want to stay there.

Pluses: Fairly cheap place, you can get a bunk bed for $7-10. Close to railway station. Close to bus station. Fairly clean. Has locker where you can put your stuff. Has breakfast, included in the price. Room and the closet open with the same magnet key. Have about 6 showers.Minuses: Room for 4 people was really small, even though you pay a bit more, you actually getting much less personal space. Computer wasnt working , it could not connect to the internet. The top of my locker was broken, so it was fairly easy to get in.

The staff barely spoke English. The showers and toilets were really uncomfortable. The price is affordable and the breakfast very poor.

I was kicked out for coughing. Seriously how do they get good rewiews. I was kicked out at 2 30am. As i begged for some help they gave me address of another hostel. I guess they knew other hostel to better.

Rooms are a bit congested, but can be managed fir a couple of days.

Location: is great for Kyiv, 8min Vokzalna, which is the main metro station and red line.Room: I stayed in a 4 bedroom downstairs, the cheapest ones, they are average, it smells not so good for lack of ventilation, they dont open the rooms to ventilate like in some hostels after 14h but even so some rooms you have a bed, not a bulk bed, the lookers are big and good.Breakfast: is almost nothing, just pap with tea but ok for the price, is something at least, anyway you can walk 5 min and grab some good food easily.Staff: is ok, most of them dont speak English but thats not a problem. Just dont expect tips about Kyiv, you have Google trips for it.Bathroom and showers: are ok also, its a cheap hostel so dont expect too much. If you are flexible about time I suggest you to take a shower after 11h, almost nobody and as far as I know they just cleaned the place.Atmosphere: for sure thats the biggest negative, are usually local people / Russian speakers, not that usual travel hostel with a cool common area, if youre a backpacker you know what I mean.Kitchen: there is not kitchen to cook, only a bar that you can order something and also is the same place that youre going to have your breakfast.Tips:Be prepared for some bad body odor, deodorant, changing clothes frequently and shower everyday arent so common between men in this region...Google maps is very accurate even for small local buses that look terrible, English signs everywhere, on metro also, so is easy to get around.Puzata Hata is cheap and good local food.Lifecell is the best and cheapest internet, around 5 Euros, 150 UAH, for 20GB on 4.5G sim card for 28 days.Overall: the place is ok and I recommend it depending of your needs, just 3 🌟 because the place is more to sleep than having that backpacker experience, there is no kitchen to cook and few things as I mentioned are just ok, not great, but is the price I guess.

Friendly staff and well located for me, close to the train station. Cannot oay with card. Comfy beds and clean room but very uncomfortable shower rooms specially for women.

i stayed in a 4 bed room... it was very small but the problem is no enough vantilation in the room so it smells bad 🤔 there are lockers in the room, its safe...

Very Quiet, Neat and feels at home

The rooms are quite good , more hostel like. The bathrooms are okay and well kept. The WiFi works good surprisingly. My only reservation about the hostel is the rudeness of the receptionist and staffs. Aside from that I would rate a 3 .

A nice cheap hostel, no complaints

One of the best Hostels I have ever been to. Staff is very friendly and cooperative and they speak English too...!!!Highly Recommended...!!!

Dont reserve 2-persons room here. It is opposite to reception. There is noise and light from the floor and reception in the middle of the night. Staff does not care about noise. Also, window is way to small to air the room.

My money got stolen. Check in isn’t until 12 noon, so if you get there before they literally make you wait in the corridor. Very annoying. Sanitary bathrooms and toilet.

The place is so so. But the small cafe/restaurant in the back has horrible customer service. The middle age woman/server in the cafe is totally sick of her life to the point that she doesnt even want to serve any food. You need to fire these employees and get ones that can actually work with customers. Loosing business and reputation at the same time. Keep up the great work.

The free breakfast buffet was runny oatmeal and week tea. You could purchase a better breakfast, but there are many cheaper, better places to eat nearby. The restrooms were inconveniently located in one long bank, as opposed to many other hostels were there are several locations of restrooms. Also, fact that the restrooms were cleaned 2-3 times a day did not stop them from being smelly. There were just too many people using all in one spot - definitely not enough showers.

Z Hostel is my go-to any time I am going through Kyiv. The prices are fair, the guests are respectful, and you can reserve rooms through their website for free. The staff are also tremendous, and the place offers a free, if modest breakfast, as well as free luggage storage on checkout day. I have stayed here a number of times in a variety of rooms and have never had anything negative to report. Overall: clean, comfortable, inexpensive, will keep coming back any time I need a place to crash.

Nice place with pleasant personnel, all necessary facilities and within walking distance from the central railway station and subway stations Vokzalna and Universytet. They provide basic breakfast (very basic though). The major con is the space - rooms are small as well as the place itself. I do recommend it for a short stay but there are definitely better places for long stays as a tourist.

Very moderately priced hostel, comfortable lounge zone and friendly staff. Literally 5 minutes of walking from the train station and subway, which is very convenient.

Stable Wi-Fi and comfy bed was just what I needed there.They have Lockers, showers, canteen and other facilities.Great value for money.

The money of my friend was stolen from the locker today! They have no cameras no proper security. I wouldnt be surprised if staff of the hostel is the one who steals money. And also food was stolen a few times from the fridge. Staff did nothing! I definitely do not recommend this place. Not safe
