I love that they listen to all my concerns and dont fault me for being an overboard fur momma lol. Always take care of my pets and dont just spend 2 seconds with you. Highly recommend above all other vets. As an update my poor baby peed himself on the way there this trip and was soaked. This staff is so amazing I told them when I called to say I was there and let them know what happened, they came out and whisked him away and had him bathed and blow dried before I was called in for his appt. I cant day enough about how great this place is. As always another wonderful visit to the vet!

Dr. Lindley and her staff are the best! From the gentle and kind care they gave my beloved Aanzhenii during her yearly cancer surgeries, to giving us a list of bandaging supplies we could provide ourselves for her frequent bandage changes to save us money, follow up phone calls on how she was doing both during and after recovery, and during subsequent serious health issues that finally led to our decision to lay her to rest. Dr. Lindley and her staff came to know Aanzhenii well over the 2 1/2 years and came to love her. They continue to be the kind, caring, professional staff they are as they care for our precious little Waaseyaa.

WE WERE EXTORTED BY THIS BUSINESS AND WHEN WE RESISTED THEY REFUSED TO APPROVE FILLS OF HIS KIDNEY FOOD, LACTATED FLUIDS, PAIN MEDS-- and he was last seen 363 days ago, his visit should be good for a year but they DECIDED to deny my cat care. They would not fit him in but they said he cannot get any scripts without being seen. I begged, I cried, I fought, now instead of begging local vets to PLEASE care for him I need to consult an attorney and that is something else we will need money for.

Idk why anyone brings their pets here or is leaving 5 star reviews. After my last vet visit with my cat I will be finding a new vet ASAP. They will manipulate you, these people will literally do anything to get every dollar you have and will even go as far as making up reasons about you’re pet to charge you more. The things they have done to my cat over the years and especially this last visit in this place sicken me and with the amount of money they’ve milked from me over time could’ve bought a small house. They know these pets are like family to us and are taking full advantage of everyone going here. Id highly recommend anyone with a animal, especially a cat, to avoid this location at all costs unless you want your pet to be mishandled and want yourself to be taken advantage of by scam artists.

They treat our fur baby Cheetoh great. He had to have FHO surgery. Couldnt have asked for a more professional staff and the doctor is A+!!!

I give Animal Ark ten stars. I am 100% pleased with everything Dr. Spindel, Dr. Lindley, and the "whole staff" does for my furry family members . They care !!! It shows in everything they do. I even get follow up phones calls to see how my pet is doing if the visit was for a health concern of any kind. I personally cant ask for anything more. I dont have any suggestions for improvement because they are already doing 100% as far as Im concerned.Thank you all for caring 😊.

We brought our new Lab puppy Smokey for his first visit and the staff and doctors were wonderful.

Absolutely horrible. Dr Spidel is rude, inconsiderate and incompetent. Did not even examine my bird and sent us away twice saying there was no problems. Because of him my parrot has suffered greatly and my house and car is ruined. Retirement will do him some good. He is burnt out on his career. Seems he is senile in his old age or is on some kind of drugs. He certainly has no business trying to practice any longer. He wants money for doing nothing. Definitely not a place to go any longer for anything of importance. He obviously no longer cares about his practice. I would stay as far away from this place as possible. He pointed at my parrot and said "I work with him because I want to, and I work with you because I have to." How rude of someone to say that. His own words. So if you are looking for a competent and caring vet, search elsewhere. This is NOT the place to go.

Unfortunately we had a terrible experience at Animal Ark. From the beginning whenever there was something wrong we were made to believe it was our fault. As first time pet owners this was very discouraging. Dr. Lindley was never polite to us nor to our dog. He is a very sweet, energetic golden retriever. They ultimately decided he needed to be sedated heavily each time he had to come in for a visit, which left him almost unable to walk at times. When we switched vets they could not believe that our dog was being treated this way. He has never shown any signs of aggression, so this protocol should never have been considered. We were not allowed inside because it was near the beginning stages of covid, so I am not sure how they mistreated our dog, but I know that they must have for him to ever have reacted as scared as he did to go in there. I have never posted a review before but this is too important to go unreported. We were extremely disappointed by the service at Animal Ark and I would never recommend this vet.

Yes, they helped my cat but waiting 15 hours in my car and kept being told it wont be long now........, oh, you just got bumped...... sorry. 🤔🥱😳 was ridiculous.

I love this vet! They are attentive! They are kind and gentle with your pets! The doc is very knowledgeable and cares very deeply for the care of your pet! I would highly recommend this for any family!

I never leave reviews but this veterinary office is a blessing. I went through so much with my cat trying to figure out why he was spraying. This office took him in like he was their own and did everything from running tests to even having to keep him over night after a scary moment. They did constant check ins with me and kept me in the loop the whole time. Mr. Binx is now extremely happy and healthy thanks to this office. My roommate also takes his sister here and she has had great experiences as well. Great staff and great providers.

Amazing staff, helpful and friendly front desk! My pup loves going to her vet office and that’s very unusual! It just shows you how amazing this whole staff truly is!

I brought my sick guinea pig here because my regular vet couldnt see her for months.Theyre very knowledgeable and friendly. The vet understood her issue, which turned out not to be the bladder stone I thought it was.A week after my appointment, they called me to see how my fur baby was doing. Im very grateful.

My daughter took her calico cat there and they did an excellent job with her cat. very friendly people, and when they bring your pet out to you they explain very well what was done and how to proceed with care for the animal.

I have brought all of my dogs, my parents woofers. Excellent location, very knowledgeable techs and Veterinarians. More expensive than other Veterinarians but due to their excellent service and location its worth it for us.

Very clean facility staffed by very personable, caring staff. We felt very comfortable there and am glad we introduced our new Cockatiel to her medical staff!

We havent been to the office yet but I had a question regarding my new puppy and the woman I talked to was extremely helpful. We look forward to bringing our puppy Louie, to Animal Ark for his first puppy visit soon.

I have taken Goose (6 month golden retrieverhere since he was 8 weeks old. Dr. Spindel & Dr. Lindley have both seen Goose and have been extremely friendly, gentle and knowledgeable.Recently, Goose ingested a hair scrunchie, whole. After a week of no signs of the scrunchie in his poo, and signs of Goose straining, I was concerned of a possible obstruction. I called Animal Ark for a sick appointment. The first available appointment was about a week away.All vets/animal hospitals in the area are extremely overwhelmed, with long wait times for appointments. They referred me to Liverpool Village Animal Hospital who was unable to see him, tried VMS (emergency vet in Dewitt), who told me that Gooses case didnt qualify to be seen by them. Desperate, I called Animal Ark back to let them know we couldnt get in anywhere and to ask about getting on a cancellation list. They went above and beyond to have Goose seen in-between surgeries that day, as they too were concerned and wanted him examined sooner, rather than later.He was dropped off that morning, examined, along with having blood work and X-rays taken and no blockage was found (thankfully!).I sincerely appreciate the entire staff at Animal Ark - they truly care about their patients.

Absolutely outrageous pricing!!!! The staff are very nice but go elsewhere unless you dont mind getting Robbed $$$!! They were not competent with the cats that were brought in. Estimated between $650 - $850 to fix 1 female cat. I say. No thanks, Ill go elsewhere!!!

Ive brought my cats here for their annual exam, the staff are very responsive and genuinely care about your pets. I will definitely be bringing them back here!

I wouldn’t bring bunnies here—after going to a new vet, it was evident that some of the treatment decisions Animal Ark made weren’t suitable. My bunny almost lost his life in their care. He spent 3 nights with them and when we picked him up he was dirty, in worse shape, malnourished, and one of his eyes was bleeding. Luckily, we went somewhere else and the new vet treated him and he is now healthy.Additionally, we asked them to send my rabbit’s records to two other vet offices, it was an emergency and time sensitive. I called Animal Ark three times throughout the day reminding them, and the third time they assured me they had sent the records to both places. Neither place received the records, even to this day. Fortunately I had my own copy which I was able to scan and send myself. While Animal Ark may have good people skills, the quality of care (at least that I receivedis lacking.

I can not say enough about this place and Dr. Spindell. Dr. Spindell is just amazing and truly loves his job and animals. My family totally trusts him and the care he provides. He isnt just in it for the money. He truly is into veterinary care because he cares and it really shows! His staff is also top notch!! They are always so accommodating and compassionate. The care that they provide has been nothing less than amazing!!! From the moment you call for an appointment to the care you receive after is always pleasant and just wonderful. Any time my dogs been in for an issue Dr. Spindell and his staff always call me to make sure my dog is doing better. My dog is not one that likes to be anywhere Im not with him and I have left vets because he was fearful after being neutered to even walk through the door but not here!! My dog LOVES going to see Dr. Spindell and the girls even after having major surgeries for a femur fracture and being hospitalized. The moment we pull into see Dr. Spindell and the girls Timber gets so excited he starts chatting and wagging his tail non stop! He absolutely loves Animal Ark!!! Trust me when I say this place is amazing!!! I will always be a client here💙💙

Highly disappointed with this place. Not sure they know exactly what theyre doing because they prescribed a medication that bunnies cant have and today was the worst day of my life as that medication took him from me. I agree with others about this place... Its not a place for bunnies or any kind of exotic animal.

Ive been taking my cat here since she was a newborn kitten. Besides emergency visits, Animal Ark has been my go-to for visits. The staff are extremely friendly and caring. They are a great team here.Lately with COVID, I feel bad for them needing to come outside in any weather condition to get pets but it goes to show their dedication to animals. The cold, wind and snow wont keep them from caring for your loved ones.

Wonderful clinic! I brought in my 8 month old bearded dragon for a wellness exam, and I was very nervous because he* had never been out of the house except for when we got him*. Dr. Spindel and the rest of the Animal Ark staff were incredibly helpful, kind, down-to-Earth, and patient! He answered all of my questions, and gave me very informative yet easy-to-understand answers. He even told me the correct gender of my beardie! I initially thought he was a boy, but upon the doctor returning after his* checkup, I asked how he did and he said "SHE is doing great!" I had initially named him Draco, but had decided to rename her Sunni Raven, after my favorite flower and my late dog. Thank you Doctor Spindel and the staff at Animal Ark- Sunni Rae and I will definitely be back!

Everyone that we talked to there, from the receptionist, to the veterinary assistant and finally the Doctor were very friendly, kind, & helpful. My little girl chihuahua (Fionais feeling better already, and Ill continue to use them in the future. Thanks for your help! 😁

I am very happy for Dr. Spindel . He is wonderful ,polite,so very nice and down to earth. Is always there to help. Never gives up on your pet . I would never see anyone else. I recommend him 100%. He is the best of the best in my eyes. Is not very expensive at all. Will work with you the best he can. Just all around great vet and place to go with your animal. His staff is amazing as well.

This place is probably one of the best vets ive ever experienced. They saved my bunny qhen he broke his leg and lost a lot of weight they kept him for a week without charging me a thing knowing I couldnt afford it and because he was a rescue. Recently i rescued 2 cats and they were really good about getting them checked out and getting them taken care of in a timely manner. This vet also makes sure to always stay updated on research. They also do clay paw prints if you have to put your animal down for free as a courtesy and put their name on it as well. It was such a nice gesture I dont know any other vets that would do that for you. Best exotic vet ive ever experienced!!

Hospital is good, clean and well equipped, Dr.Spindel is a good Vet. But what is frustrating is the money side of things. After I had to cancel the appointment for 12 dogs (vaccinationbecause of the emergency we have had with one of the dogs and doc has only got $200 from us instead of expected $1200, he refused to provide services to us from now on. What a “great” attitude. And what is even worse he didn’t say that when we met, but just got the nurse to call me and cancel next appointment I had for the ill dog.

I have 3 pets currently and 1 whom we lost. I love Dr. Spindle he, to me, is the quintessential vet, kind, empathetic but honest. He always treats my fur babies with kindness and I just would not take them anywhere else. I love the office staff, Jen and Lisa have laughed and cried with me, when we put our cat down, Dr. Lindley was so gentle and sweet and she helped us through it all. Thank you #animalark !

This isn’t a good hospital to take exotic pets. The cocky bedside manners don’t match their knowledge. I was told to fast my rabbits before their spaying. You aren’t supposed to fast rabbits. I clarified hoping any of the staff or doctors would reiterate how to prepare for the surgery. No one was aware that rabbits shouldn’t fast overnight.I also had a problem how Animal Ark always shorted me medication. I’ve seen review complaints about this too, which have magically disappeared from the reviews.If you care about your rabbits, find a different vet.

I brought my chinchilla here (refereed by a friendand I was very happy with our visit. They took the time to evaluate her situation before they just went ahead with the procedure I had been told by a previous vet she needed. The staff was friendly and they have reached out after to even check on how she is doing after the procedure. I wished we lived closer so animal arc could be our primary vet.

I had been looking for an exotic vet since moving to Syracuse and Im so glad I picked Animal Ark. Today I took Roy, my greek tortoise, to the vet for an annual check up. The employees were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Thank you to Dr. Spindel and the staff!

We moved to NY with our 14 year old Male Lhasa Apso who was cared for at this clinic. They were caring and kind, and understanding that our dog had multiple health issues due to his age and breed. The vet examined our dog and discussed his end of life options. Although a very difficult decision, we all agreed the best option for our doggy was euthanasia. This was a first for our family of four and we were all given time to ask questions after the appointment. Once our oldest son arrived from out of town, we were able to make arrangement with the clinic to move forward. We were given options prior to the last appointment and knew exactly what to expect. The staff were kind, caring and gracious during our doggys last appointment :(

I needed a vet closer to my home, so I searched and found Animal Ark. My 6 year old tuxedo kitty needed his annual vaccinations, I was so happy at the service we received, above and beyond! They have boarding and a huge variety of critters that board there. I would recommend this practice 100% .

I needed to establish a vet for my animals. I had an appointment by another office that called the morning of to cancel I called Animal Ark and they gave me an appointment that day. I was greeted by fantastic and friendly staff. Dr Spindel was AMAZING! By far the best vet experience ever! My pup was given excellent care at an affordable price and no unnecessary services were pushed on me. If you’re in need of a vet this is the place to go!!!!!

Upon entry to the Ark, I found the facility very clean and well kept. To keep folks occupied during a brief wait they have a few beautiful aquariums, and even some terrariums. Staff is very courteous and smiling!! Everyone at the Ark was very warm-spirited and considerate of circumstances.Dr. Spindel was very gentle and kind to both my cat and my family. He was thorough but also honest about what might be the most budget-friendly option for my family. The technician let us know when it was going to take a few minutes more than planned and offered my family beverages. So thoughtful and rare these days. Im used to human doctors offices where you just have to sit and look at the clock and wonder why you havent been seen yet.The office was clearly very busy. Three ladies behind the counter were running around, trying to keep up with the demand of their time. When one was swamped, another stepped in to give back up. The best part for me was that despite the pressure, these ladies kept on smiling and treating guests in a pleasant manner.Im a long-time client of South Shore Vet Clinic and recently moved so far west, the trip no longer made sense for my cat that gets car sick. Im very happy to say, we have found our new vets office, and look forward to returning. I will say I also found their rates very reasonable.Thank you.

The staff and doctors were so caring and considerate of my ball python. The doctor showed high intelligence for my pet and was not only kind to my snake, but he befriended me as well by engaging in conversation about snakes and his personal experiences with them. He answered all of my questions and I am very satisfied with my visit!! I highly recommend this vet to everyone!!!!

I have been taking my dogs and cats to Animal Ark for many years. The entire staff is superb. The care has been excellent . One of my dogs , a rescue, had many problems, emergencies, and serious surgery over the years. When she finally had to be put down due to severe deterioration due to old age, a stroke, and pain, all at Animal Ark were compassionate, patient, and respectful . She had a very comforting, safe, calm, loving end in my arms. Thank you all so very much at Animal Ark.

Dr. Spindel and the staff at Animal Ark have provided exceptional care to my pets over many years. They are friendly and compassionate and greet my pets by name which shows how much they care. There is no doubt in my mind that Dr. Ed Spindel is the best there is. Ive taken my dog to see him since we rescued him 2.5 years ago. He was more that accommodating to my schedule as well as my new dogs needs. He educated me on quite a few options as well as some basic needs concerning canine health care. He is more than fairly priced and is always willing to go the extra mile for his patients. This guy is awesome. A great Vet and now a great friend!
