Great market. Great food. Great fall activities for the whole family. Had a blast in the corn maze, hay ride to pick pumpkins, blasting corn cobs, mining for gems, trike racing, the list goes on. Well definitely be back.

I first attended a tasting years prior to my wedding at an expo located at Whispering Oaks and knew immediately I wanted Ards to cater our wedding. Fast forward to our first tasting at Ards. We were sat down at a table and then completely ignored. After leaving the eating area they have linen rentals as well as their other rentals displayed for your viewing. I mosied around and still nobody approached me. Finally I walked up to who I now know as Kyle and started to ask her questions. Mind you the entire time she walked around to each table at the tasting except for mine. Telling them about the foods, rentals ect. That left a bad taste in my mouth but whatever, I loved the food and I proceeded to order and plan for the event. I had to reschedule my wedding from May to August, fortunately they were easy to work with being that my wedding was on a Wednesday. Very grateful for that. Finally, to the day of the wedding. Catering arrives and Im immediately told my by event coordinator that Kyle was extremely rude to ber. One event in the days schedule was no longer happening but it had no affect on caterings schedule. There was no reason for her to have given her a hard time. I believed my coordinator immediately because thats how myself and my family were treated at the tasting. I absolutely love Ards but I believe that the face of the catering dept is more concerned with how much money can be made, not the people depending on their services. I believe because my wedding was only around 35 people it wasnt a big enough money maker compared to the larger weddings they cater. I was treated like I was less than and the day of my wedding she showed up with the same attitude. I actually had guests ask me who the woman with the miserable face was and I had to reply that was the cater. I highly recommend Ards food although it is extremely pricey. The employees are always great but Kyle has a serious attitude problem. My wedding was three weeks ago and I wasnt going to write this but its been weighing on my heart heavily and I feel that I deserved better. I also thought others should be aware in the future! If youre getting that vibe from her, PLEASE go to a different place where you and your money are appreciated and respected.

Wow. Awful. Went for brunch and my daughter had some weird, black mushy substance the waitress claims is purple potato. So rotten purple potato? I ordered the croque madam and it was just awful. They did take the food off but still paid for half cup of terrible coffee. Would not recommend. Hoping to find a good brunch spot but this is definitely not it.

We used Ards Farm as our wedding catering in September 2021 and they were amazing! We attended multiple complimentary tastings and pretty much everything we tried was tasty. We decided to do a buffet style dinner at our wedding due to the way our venue was set up, and it worked perfectly. The staff from Ards were always helpful and communicative throughout the whole wedding planning process. The food was delicious and everyone is still raving about how good the dinner was! Would definitely recommend for wedding catering :)

The fish in the taco was fried but surprisingly good and not too greasy. The key lime ice cream sandwich was good but theres way too much cookie to ice cream for me. I was there in winter so not too much in the way of fresh vegetables and fruits. They have lots of candies and frozen meats, including Beyond Meat. Quite a few kinds of frozen soups. The Maryland Crab was good flavor but not much crab in it. I understand they have some theme days but I wasnt there on one of them so I cant comment.

Amazing food! Gift shop is filled with local products; we loved perusing while our food was being made. I do think the dining area was underwhelming, but honestly we didnt mind because everything was absolutely wonderful! I would highly recommend the cauliflower crust Mediterranean pizza and mint tea.

Ards Farm catered my wedding in October. While the food was amazing and the day of went perfect that was only the cherry on top. The real reason you should hire Ards Farm for your next catering event was the amazing planning and accommodating service they provided. Kyle made my life as a bride-to-be as easy as it could have been with taste testings and meetings to determine linens and decoration rentals. Id also like to mention that they were able to cook 80 steaks off site and deliver to my venue and the steaks were absolutely perfect. Thank you for being apart of making my big day perfect!

Nice family day. there is a slide, maze, tricycle track, climb onto farm equipment, pig racing, and hayride to the pumpkins. There is an entrance fee for the family fun area and one for the hayride. the combo is $20 per person for over 2 yrs old. They dont have a senior price most are just watching the grand kids.

Enjoyed a perfect summer pear salad! Asked for a box when it was served...but never used it as there wasnt a bit left. I asked for outside dining and even though its been a very warm day, there was a gentle breeze through the patio that kept things comfortable.

This place really captures the essence and character of Buffalo Valley, and surrounding Union County. While we were there on the waning days of fall, it seems this place was once a flurry of activity with its petting zoo, corn maze, and playground area. Inside the building is a spacious restaurant with a somewhat limited menu, and higher prices than what youd see for that sort of venue, but both of us enjoyed our food, and if youre into sweet tea, this has a touch of "meadow" in it, which was delightful. The retail outlet contains a deli, fresh and frozen meats, dairy products, canned goods, soup mixes and old-fashioned candies. They also have a kiosk for Shade Mountain Vineyard. We picked out a few pumpkins and also noticed they had a good selection of bird feed. I felt that some of the prices were a little high for this region, but also took into consideration that most places are increasing prices, to recoup their losses during the COVID shutdown. I cant wait to go back the next time were through there.

I would give this place ten stars if I could. We’ve been going to this place every year for the last ten years. We drive up from northern Virginia, stay the night, and make a whole day of it the following day. It’s become a tradition. It is a great family-run operation. The owner is super cool, works hard, and it shows! Double down on the bbq pork and corn bread. I don’t know what they put in the corn bread but oh my goodness it is delicious! Can’t wait to be there in a few weeks!

10/10 recommend the restaurant! We got the cauliflower buffalo bites to start....they were so good we bought some from the store section to bring home for later. I got the rice bowl with salmon and the ginger sauce and my boyfriend got the Yosemite burger and we were blown away with the quality. Will definitely be going back!

We are having our wedding catered by Ards, and let me just begin by saying how impressed I have been thus far! Ards allowed us to come and taste some of the menu they offer for catering today (8/28/2020)... Oh My Gosh.... the food was to die for. The rosemary chicken bites were amazing, as they were promised to be. We did not have a single thing that was not satisfactory and beyond. We made an excellent choice when it comes to catering for our wedding when it comes to taste. We will give an another update following our wedding next year, though we expect it will be just as good as today was. Thank you to all of the staff who served my mother, future mother-in-law, and myself today. It was a blast!

Nice place. There is a kids play area outside, and some goats and sheep to feed. The store has fresh baked pies etc. and a variety of hand dipped chocolate candy. Its a working farm so a lot of the produce they sell is grown there. They sell a lot of stuff grown and/or produced locally like jams, pickled produce, sauces, marinades, and more. There is a deli also. They have a restaurant that I would like to try the next time we visit.

Place was beautiful but food was mediocre. Breakfast potatoes were tiny potatoes cut in half, seasoned(hate garlicn fried a little...not good at all. My omelet was dry, I had spinach, feta n provolone. Could not even taste the feta. When I asked the server(Laurashe went in the kitchen and brought me a small cup of feta to add to my omelet. Really? I did not want to make my own, I can stay home n do that. The service was good but server had no personality. Our first time there and our last for breakfast. Thought it was pricy but do not mind paying if food is yummy but it was not.

Fresh, delicious "gourmet" style food. Im not from that area but its definitely worth the drive. A little bit on the pricey side but, again, everything is fresh and the food is prepared brilliantly! If you like lamb, the lamb burger is a must try! I will definitely be back! Reservations might be a good idea for dinner.

Atmosphere is great, very well modern flare and clean. The buffet was really good anf everything is homemade. Prices are a little steep for its location and market, but their other activities are keeping the working farm running. This place is fine fir dining alone or bring the whole family in. The store is great for local delicacies, novelties and standard items. Decent price on packaged coffee and they have random sale items too.

Cute place, old country farm motif. Ton of homemade candy, baked goods, jams, sauces and jellies. Local meats. Their cafe......no. Got soup, salad, entree bar, $15. Basic salad bar, vegetables, mac and pot salad, nothing out of the ordinary. Homemade soups were little bit salty. Rolls were excellent! Pulled pork was pretty good. No flavor in mac and cheese. Velveeta? Stuffed chicken was bland, stuffing was good. Very pricey for that small bar and it wasnt good. Great ambiance though. Ill go back for local veggies and baked goods but I wont eat at their cafe again

The place was awesome! Fun for the whole family! Theres a little something for everyone, even a monster truck for dads like me. Dont forget to shoot the corn cob cannon, stop by and see Blondie, Socks, and Stripes in the pig race (Id put my money on Socks! And try not to get lost in the corn maze like I seemed to be doing all day. There is so much more to do I cant even list it all. It was a great time for all of us and the staff were all so friendly. Prices were very fair if not even a little on the cheap side. Ill definitely be back next year for sure!

Let me start by saying the food was absolutely amazing... how ever the service of the front of the house staff was atrocious. We had a party of 15 that made a reservation. 13 of us walked in with two on the way. They told us if the other two weren’t here in 15 minutes. They wouldnt guarantee our reservation. They also refused to seat us until everyone was present.... when we were sat there was 8 open table sections. Lots of eye rolls when asking why the 13 of us couldn’t be sat.Again, the food was good but service needs to be retrained extensively.

The restaurant was great. The smoked wings were good but I would get a different seasoning. The spicy dry ranch was too spicy for my tastes. I got the salmon salad and it was amazing. The salmon itself was cooked perfectly and the creamy goat cheese and crunchy candied walnuts were wonderful accompaniment. The cornbread is pretty good as well. They sell Shade Mountain wine which we enjoy. The Proprietors Red is a nice semi dry red. The restaurant is rustic country style decor and nicely done. It seems to be a laid back and family friendly restaurant. We didn’t buy anything from the market but they have a lot of fresh produce and meats from local farms that looks good.

To say Ard’s Farm knocked it out of the park as caterers for our wedding would truly be an understatement; they far exceeded our expectations! They were polite, professional, and so easy to work with--all the qualities you want from a vendor when planning a wedding. Oh, and not to mention, everything was absolutely delicious! It’s been three months since our wedding and we still have guests raving about the food. From our first meeting through wedding day, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We worked with Alison, and she was an absolute joy! She guided us through the whole process, answering all of our questions, keeping us on track with all the required deadlines, and making us feel confident that everything would run smoothly day of. We knew we had nothing to worry about with Alison on-site, making everything run smoothly food-wise. We also had Ard’s cater our rehearsal dinner, which, again, was absolutely phenomenal! For us, the highlights were the smoked macaroni and cheese and the brisket. One of our guests discovered a previously unrealized affinity for portobello mushrooms! In terms of appetizers, the tomato soup shooters were particular hits. Although those three stood out, we could go on and on about how amazing all of the menu items were. Thanks, Ard’s, for making our wedding day memorable and delicious! We’ll be sure to drop by the restaurant.

My family loved Ards for years but the menu change and the remodel is just pretentious and doesnt deliver on the higher end its shooting for. We mostly all got the buffet now that our favorites are off the menu. I literally choked on the beef veg soup - just giant strings of meat. The prime rib soup was just broth and carrots. There was stuff floating in our drinks. They had an dessert that contained peanut butter and labelled it chocolate chip cookies - hey undisclosed common allergens and anaphylaxis! What a mess.

We had the lunch buffet. The food tasted like it all had been sitting there for days. The bill for 2 of us was more than $30 and we only had water to drink. The only edible item was the filled chicken breast. We do not recommend eating there. We definitely will not return.

Rarely do I feel the need to write a review but wow. What can I say other than my family and I ate here twice in a three day weekend trip. The food was absolutely incredible, smoked wings in particular were a huge hit. Every single item we ordered was fresh and delicious, cooked perfectly. They handled our party of 6 with ease and our servers were fantastic and friendly. Our family voted to make this place a yearly tradition. We have been visiting this area for 15+ years and regret we did not find Ards sooner. Oh, and the market is great!

Relaxed atmosphere with fantastic service and good prices. Their smoked trout bruschetta was fantastic and a good sized serving. Id rate them at 5 stars except that were hoping for something slightly more intimate than the somewhat picnic-style setup. It seems they are a bit caught between a market style deli and an upscale restaurant. But zero complaints about the food and the friendliness. We will go back when we return to the area.

Went here last October with our family. Very nice operation they have going on.Lots of activities for the kids to take part in. We went in the fall, so the corn maze and pumpkin patch were in full swing. They also have a big slide for the kids (and some adultsto go down. Lots of little harvest type activities. The restaurant/buffet is nice and decently priced. The pumpkin patch is (in my opiniona little pricey as it included a hayride and some other stuff, so more than just the pumpkin picking.Overall worth a visit. I will note though, while parking is great (in a big field), it does require a bit of a walk. But if you are there for the corn maze, you are no doubt prepared!

The most fall fun our family has had in some time! There are plenty of things to do for kids of all ages (from 1-101 and then some). We enjoyed the hayride first, let the kids find the " biggest" pumpkins in the patch. After the treasurs were safely stowed away, we entered the giant maze. So much fun! Afterwards, there were all these neat activities for the kiddos to enjoy: sliding down maze mountain, fossil digging, punchin pumpkin race, corn cannon, pumpkin cannon, feeding the animals, zip line, play ground,... not a chance for them to sit still - everywhere they turned there was something else to discover.Once we tried all the activities at least once, we went to the on-site restaurant. The little tummies were hungry and the food was plenty. Not only is there an all-you- can-eat salad bar, but also everything on the menu is delicious. Between our family we had a good crosscut of the menu, from burgers to fish, chicken pot pie, and Italian portabello mushroom caps. We all enjoyed our entrees and desserts! After meeting the owner and giving our compliments to the chef we toured the shop and found some goodies for later. Finally we had to go home after a fun filled time at Ards farm. We are definitely coming back here.
