Argosy Cruises - Lake Union in King County
Privilege
Best to get the lock tour. Good information and on a dry day good views
Great tour. Really enjoyed our time on the boat. Thanks!!
I had taken the Seattle Locks Cruise in 2014. I enjoyed it, so I was excited about taking it again. I paid for a tour on 9/18/2022. Unfortunately, the instructions informing me of the actual departure point was vague and confusing at best. The instructions included a map with a pin numbered one at the Pier 54 location and a pin numbered two at the Lake Union location. After we traveled from our tour of the Space Needle to Pier 54, we were informed out departure point was Lake Union instead. It was too late to turn around and go back to the departure point. As as consolation I was offered a Harbor Tour. All of the services were good. The exception of clearly identifying the departure location, caused much disappointment. Since there are two possible departure points, please make it clear on the invoice which location is the departure point. The agent at the Argosy Cruise office agreed that the printed information on the invoice was not clear and offered the Harbor Tour as consolation.
MoreWe took this 1-way cruise from Lake Union into Seattle, which means we arrived in the late afternoon. That was really neat I thought. The tour guide Josh, he was great and super knowledgable. He talked the entire time except for a few times he had to be a deckhand. I recommend trying to get in the 1st half of the line so you can sit up top, specifically outside in the back half of the boat. The front part is nice but when you get out in Pugent sound, it gets SUPER windy (can even feel it in the back depending on how close youre sitting to the sides). Regardless, highly recommend bringing a jacket for this and wear pants too.
MoreWe had a staff get together on the tour that goes through the locks. The bartender was great, the drinks were lovely, and our tour guide (Lars? Curly hair and a Scandinavian namewas full of fun knowledge and very interactive with the group! The boat wasnt too crowded when we went either. The only things that were a struggle was the confusion over the different drop off and pick up locations, as well at the parking available at either one. Its definitely worth taking taxi/uber/lyft instead. And the blue paint on the outside seating on the boat is not a great match for white shoes or purses so be mindful of that!
MoreNice tour, very informative and all female crew was a surprising plus.
Its always fun out of the water and argues she makes it a great experience we were able to see the blue angels air show and that was amazing.
MoreThis is the cruise that every tourist visiting Seattle must take. The tour is about 2 hours and reveals a lot of history about Lake Union, Ballard, Fremont, the lock chamber, Magnolia and downtown. We took it in June and the weather in Seattle was awesome! Highly recommend Lake Union tour! Worth paying $50/person
MoreWe recently got married on the Lady Mary with a guestlist of about 60 people. The boat was the perfect place to get married and then party after. The Argosy staff, especially the venue coordinator Justin, was helpful in the lead-up to our wedding and worked with us to get the boat set up the way we wanted it for our ceremony and reception. The staff on the boat was great during our wedding and Captain Tony gave us a smooth ride through Lake Union and Lake Washington. Being on a boat provided such beautiful and unique views for our wedding, and we heard positive feedback from all guests regarding the venue itself and the staff. Overall, the Argosy crew brought the vision of our boat wedding to life!
MoreIts a beautiful views 😍 ✨️
Great narrated 2-hour tour through Ballard Locks and down to Pier 54.Full service bar and snacks, restrooms on-board.
MoreGreat customer service, Vince went above and beyond.
I will start by saying... I am an idiot. I booked the cruise a week ago for my mother and I. We are in Seattle for three days, and since both of err to being homebodies we needed to book things to force ourselves out to do them.So I book the cruise for 4/24/2022. Turns out, today is NOT 4/24 but rather 4/25.It would have been very easy for Argosy to be like "sucks to be you" but instead they were quick to reschedule my tickets at time of launch to fix the issue.Thank you for doing that. We had a great time!
MoreThis was the first trip to Seattle for my wife and myself, we had decided to buy the city pass and it was worth every penny. We ended up doing the one hour harbor tour and it was unbelievable, the view of the city was spectacular. The tour guide was very informational and entertaining as well, they also had a great choice of drink selection. I had a locally brewed IPA and it made the tour unforgettable.
MoreAmazing tour from lake union through the locks to Elliot Bay.
The lock is really cool and fun. You can pretty much browse everything in Seattle in this 2-hour cruise!
MoreA pleasant two hour excursion that allows you to see Seattle from some of it’s best angles. Guides are informative, boat is comfortable.
MoreReally enjoyed this ride with 4 kids from 5 to 11.
A fun way to spend an afternoon! Take a jaunt around Seattles docks and marina and see the city from a new perspective. The tour guide was fun and informative and the cocktails were tasty. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available; scoot fast if you want to be out on the top deck with a good view.
MoreWill say that I was skeptical of this at first - the deal seemed too good to be true. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how fun this was. Great lake views coupled with brunch food cooked to order made for an excellent Saturday morning. If you have people visiting from out of town, I highly recommend this for a unique way to have brunch and see the city.
MoreHad a great experience today with Argosy Cruises - Blake Island Fast Ferry!Very friendly and knowledgeable personnel! Did go an extra mile to make the clients happy! Captain Karen is the best! 👍🏻will definitely return next year for other cruises’ experience)
MoreGreat cruise! Alcohol services available.
Could not give these folks enough stars. My husband and I had our wedding on an Argosy cruise at Lake Union. They take care of you so well and provide everything youll possibly need for your big day. Weddings are always super expensive but the ceremony and reception were beyond affordable. If youre looking for an unforgettable venue for a wedding or event, you wont find anything close for this price. Thanks again!
MoreEnjoyable cruise ride around the Seattle water bodies from Lake Union to the Downtown terminal. This 3-hr ride includes a verbal tour guide of interesting local attractions one passes. A great way to enjoy and experience the water side of Seattle on a beautiful afternoon.
More2 hour cruise on lake Washinton, covering most of greater Seattle neighborhood
It was pure torture. The Locks were under repair so we had to wait an hour and a half in the baking sun. Then there was construction in the road so the bus ride was extra long. A two hour trip took 4 hours. They didn’t tell us this until we were on the boat. Hopefully this will all be fixed. On another note Nilly was a good guide.
MoreWe had an excellent time and are especially impressed with Rebecca Thompson and the level of customer service we received. We recently lost two family members in a short time and she was so understanding and helpful with questions reservations etc! Truly above and beyond!! We highly recommend Argosy and their staff!!
MoreToday was great Michelle was a great host and wine expert , the only concern was its a wine tasting cruise. They was children present and all the parents were drinking wow . Who is driving homeThis a wine tasting tour. Not only that a female decide to breast feed during the tour tour today , I guess the baby needed some wine milk to settle down. I feel if this is a huge liability for argosy. To have 21 and over cruise, with hard liquor being served plus kids seeing a lot of adults drinking ,and of course the ride home hmmmm . Should be only adults no kids this was not a great experience todayLake union champagne lady 2019 1230pm cruise
MoreLoved going through the locks on my husbands work party private rental! They pour strong drinks, you have been warned
MoreWe did the historic cruise where we went around lake union and lake Washington. Theres a bar and the information is very informative. If youre visiting or local theres a mass of information. Its on the pricier side, but what do you expect from Argosy. Id be interested in some of there other options. For a quick little cruisr it wasn enjoyable!
MoreTour guide: Kevin was our tour guide and he was very entertaining! He delivered the information in a comical manner so it was refreshing and easy to follow along with him.Weather: We went on the 2:45pm tour and it was CHILLY! My boyfriend and I wanted a unobstructed view of the city so we sat on the top deck. Totally worth it.Bar/snacks: We didnt order anything from the bar or get snacks but they do offer an assortment of snacks and drinks on board. There ARE restrooms on the ship for anyone that is curious about that. We would definitely pay the $27/person fee to go on this if we didnt have the City Pass.
MoreMust visit if exploring options for a cruise in the Water bodies around Seattle. Great commentary and spotting
MoreBought the tickets over the phone. Did a will call before the tour. That went okay. Tour was great. Lots to learn about the Seattle area. Info delivery was well done. Highly recommended.
MoreWent on a dinner cruise with some business associates and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. The food provided was delicious and the crew were absolutely outstanding. In addition, the scenery was brilliant and there were tons of opportunities for unique photos. Definitely recommend if you are looking to host a party/event in a somewhat atypical location.
MoreGreat cruise on a beautiful day. We had a very knowledgeable deck hand who pointed out all the places of interest. Also had the thrill of going through a lock. Full bar service available during the 2 hour cruise.
MoreThis was so much fun. I would definitely recommend.
Staff were very professional and patient. We had loads of fun!
We did the wine tasting cruise. It was a beautiful cruise around lake Union. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a shorter cruise, just out and back. The scenery was very nice and we enjoyed the wine. I wouldnt mind checking out some of their other cruises as well.
MoreGreat evening on water with crew and with Cameron Catering! Food was incredible.
I have done numerous cruises with this company it has always been a blast. However if you get the chance to do the 4th of july cruise it is so worth it. Very intimate night set up under the fire works. Nicely priced cocktails and beers. Not over booked. I had to pay an extra 50 dollars to get my booking changed to this cruise by accidentally booking the wrong cruise. It was well worth it. The DJ was awesome and met some great people.
MoreCame here with a party of 30 or so people. The cruise was good. Very professional and informed staff. The boat offered a bar, food table, restrooms ,lower and upper decks. The views of the lake were good for a 1.5 hr tour.
MoreMatt & Kris with Argosy were hands down, the most accommodating team Ive ever had the pleasure of working with. Argosy held our September 2017 networking event, and I was a bit nervous about holding an event on a boat. But the event could not have gone better. We saw the highest attendance for any of our events, and our attendees still rave about it. The food was provided by Green Apple Catering and was truly delightful, everything was very fresh and seasonal. We took a cruise around Lake Union at sunset, if you havent done it yet, add it to your summer bucket list!
MoreWonderful time with the exception of not having water on the boat so we had to turn around mid way to load up..
MoreI brought a group of 23 that booked a trip with my travel agency. It was wonderful & I plan to refer all my other customers with you.
MoreGood views, well informed and funny staff speaking throughout the entire 2 hour trip.
MoreDid the 1,5 h tour. It was very nice. Lots of great views and good commentary. Helps to be seated on the starboard side since most of the commentary focuses on sights on that side.
MoreFun and informative way to spend some time out on the lake.
Great experience with Lake Washington cruise
You can have a great time on an Argosy Cruise. Boats leave from the waterfront at Pier 55 and cruise through Puget Sound or from AGC Marina and cruise through Lake Union and Lake Washington. The boats have bars, good food and friendly staff. Youll see and learn things youll never even notice without getting on a boat with an experienced captain as your guide.
MoreWe had our company Christmas party Monday, December 7th aboard the Celebrations boat. It was wonderful! Everyone was extremely accommodating. Matt, our rep, came up with ideas to fit within our budget - and had immense patience with our endless questions. Nick, the captain, asked where we wanted to go (I assumed there was a strict route, nice surpriseand set up Christmas music to play throughout the evening. Rachel, our on board contact, did EVERYTHING, so I was able to enjoy myself instead of working the entire evening. I felt so guilty, I tried to help, but she insisted with such kindness. Corsica, our bartender, was so sweet - and quick! There was never a line for drinks. The boat was decorated beautifully - and somehow they arranged for the rain to stop ;Id love to have our party with them every year.
