At Melissas is up for sale which makes many of us sad. She created an incredible atmosphere of warmth, good memories and incredible hospitality. She definitely deserves to retire and enjoy life but we are selfish and want her to be there forever. We will miss this unique Rehoboth Beach treasure.
Could not have asked for a better location, room, food or host!
Melissas feels like home where I grew up with a front porch and screen door. Amazing breakfast and snacks throughout the day, with lovely wine out in the back yard, or relaxing on the front porch. Rooms are incredibly clean and well furnished. Melissa is the quintessential beach host! LOVE this place!!!
Again, once will never be enough‼️
There is nothing not to love. Melissa is a sweetheart. The other guests were friendly. Had a wonderful stay.
Place is great price is wonderful. The owner is so nice and will work with you food was awesome
Simply cant go wrong stay at this place. Melissa is an incredible host and truly passionate about making sure guests leave as friends.
Best kept secret in Rehoboth.
Melissa is great! The house is close to the boardwalk and beach. I highly recommend staying.
Wonderful bed and breakfast. A short walk to the beach. Breakfasts are delicious and gluten free. Melissa is a knowledgable and gracious host.
Third time staying here. I love it. Rooms are comfortable and quaint. There are free snacks, wine, beer, water, and sodas available all day. Make your own Belgian waffles for breakfast! Close to the beach and all the town has to offer. Parking is a little tough. I highly recommend staying here.
Our fourth visit, Melissa never fails to pay attention to the little details. The furniture is a little worn and comfy, and fits perfectly. Attention is high on the little things like the outside shower you wish you had at home, treats at all hours, and perfectly yummy breakfasts.
Beautiful B&B with a cozy feeling, very clean and very helpful staff. 5 minutes walk from the beach and they provide all amenities including umbrellas, chairs, boards, and even small coolers and refreshments. Another great plus is ample parking for 5 cars. Parking is a nightmare on Rehoboth!Only regret was the food. Coffee is the Krueger pouch kind and breakfast was not tasty. For what they charge, I would have expected much better food. Other B&Bs weve been at in Virginia and Massachusetts prided themselves for their culinary services.
The best place to stay in Rehoboth, even better if you are gluten free. Our family comes year after year and our children get to grow up at the beach for a week each year. Close enough to the water you can hear the surf from the front porch, and the walk to the beach takes you past the historic Funland on your way.
Melissas was awesome I would stay there again. Its like your home when your at Melissas and she everything you would need for stay and to go the beach
Great B &B. Great glue free breakfast and wine in the evenings. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Our first visit to At Melissas will probably be the first of many. A sign that Melissa has hanged from the ceiling says, "Arrive as Guests, Leave as Friends." That is truly how we felt after our weekend stay.Melissa is 20 years established, and her experience shines through every window of her happy house. The atmosphere is relaxed, the whole dang place is clean enough for surgery, and your hostess exudes such a genuine warmth that she could teach a doctorate on hospitality.Melissa provides for your every, beachy need: Private outdoor shower with clean towels, foldable chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, tote bags, and - AMAZINGLY - totally free, all-day, all-night, BEER and WINE! Yes, really! Relax in your spotless clean, spacious room, or in the cozy sitting room, or on the front porch, and drink yourself happy at no additional cost. It was as great as it sounds. Now, about that beer, and the rest of Melissas food offerings: all gluten free. Did that matter to me or my family? Nope. None of us are on a gluten-free diet of any kind, for any reason. Then why mention it? Because Melissas breakfast spreads, snacks, beer and wine are so delicious and satisfying, none of us gluten-gobbling folks even noticed! That is seriously impressive to me. I happily chowed down on bread, cake, hash browns, quiches, and waffles - OH, the WAFFLES - and not a gluten in sight. Never missed em.Bottom line, the experience of staying in a hotel that felt like crashing at the pad of an old friend far exceeded the monetary value of the price paid. That sense of value was magnified by the never-ending, free beer and wine. And the gluten-free food was prepared with such skill and quality that a gang of wheat-eaters cleaned our plates every morning, smiling and satisfied.Did I mention shes also two blocks from the beach? Yeah. That too. Just book your stay already.
Awesome place and time
We love it here! Our 3rd year straight and it seems just like being at home, only better because we are so Relaxed!!! Great big, clean and comfortable beds. Relaxing porch and free parking!! The amenities offered for beach going or even for making dinner at the house are top notch!
Great location just a block from the boardwalk and tons of restaurants in town. Cute rooms and an awesome hostesses. Home on the local historic list.
Amber and I would like to THANK YOU again for your hospitality and allowing us to stay in your beautiful beach home last week.We had a wonderful time in your lovely B&B. The morning meals you prepared were delicious, and merely thinking about those delicious desserts you served during tea time hours, makes my mouth water. You went above and beyond by supplying us with great visiting areas and awesome places to eat lunch and dinner. We met a collage of interesting and exciting people during our time spent. Walked the beaches and enjoyed the weather . . .You and everyone else made us feel like family the entire time we were there. We both look forward to visiting your town of Rehoboth and seeing you again. We know where we will be staying . . .Always,Ryan and Amber
We recently stayed as At Melissas for our second time. After our first visit, our credit card information was stolen the same day we paid with our credit card for our room. This card is one that is only used during vacation, and the room was the only thing we had used it for. Needless to say it was a hassle to get things straightened out. We alerted Melissa that her system was not secure- and trusted she would take care of it. Unfortunately, after our second stay, the same issue! We only used the card for the room charge, literally the only thing on the statement. Clearly she is not concerned with the security of her guests private financial information. We definitely wont be returning and will steer others away!
Melissa runs the best B&B in Rehoboth Beach, DE. This place is a must for anyone looking for the ultimate in customer service. Cant wait to return.
Best beach house ever with the perfect host! Just park your car and RELAX :)
