Atlas Mini Storage is now owned by Mason City Storage. As of October, the owners have increase my rental rate of 90/month to 145/month. An increase of 61%. I rent a small climate controlled unit. I will be looking for a more affordable rental unit, but I am left wondering if this is an ethical increase? Yes, the cost of living and doing business has increased but I am unsure that a yearly increase of 61% is sustainable for most of their customers.

I have been with them a year now and they seriously are the best! I needed a clean and climate-controlled place to store my extra fabric and coats, etc. and started using them last year in November. All my stuff has stayed very clean, dust free, no bugs or anything, etc. They wouldve gotten dusty in my apt. Also, the security is excellent! They have cameras everywhere and a code at the door to get into building with a covered drive up area that is right at the entrance to door. It is brightly lit at night and they have carts for you to use for moving items around and a large garage style door so you can back a truck up into facility. Everything is ultra secure and VERY reasonably priced! They are always having specials for new customers! I got a year of 10% off my fees. The management is super nice also! I highly recommend them! They are the best in town!

Supposed to friends with the lady who runs this place I work on the road and occasionally fall behind because I’m forgetful she promised me she would never sell my unit she always got ahold of me whenever until this time she said she sold it but really just gave her son the key to my unit to sell my stuff off I figured out my unit had to have been sold when her son was selling my $30,000 worth of tools on Facebook. Just starting lawsuit.

I only had my stuff there for 2 weeks paid for 5 plus a deposit.... Ive been out 9 weeks left on a good note even swept the unit and still havent gotten my deposit back! Called her today and she said "sorry we took a vacation.". Thats how they run their business???
