Fantastic, delicious ice cream, adequately sized too.

In our local area, it is fantastic. Its also "bad" because there are too many flavours to choose from. How it would compare in a popular area crowded with similar shops - Im not really sure? But quite good I imagine. Weve been a few times and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

Some of the best gelato in Melbourne, hands (& scoopsdown! This opinion has been corroborated by a fair few discerning Italian mates, so youre in for a treat. I havent gotten around to trying them all, but then I can never seem to get past pistachio, hazelnut or coffee... 🤷🏻‍♂️

Different than other ice creams because they add more whole nuts inside the mixes.

Have tried 2 flavours so far. Both very good. Raspberry and white chocolate and black Forrest. More I want to try. Will be back.Very generous serve.

The best ice cream in the region. So many good flavours with satisfying bits and pieces added in, plus so many of the old favourites. The ice cream is creamy and rich and the sorbets are fresh and delicious.

first, and only, time weve been, so perhaps unlucky and caught a bad day seeing how all the other reviews have been so positiveSome of the worst service Ive ever experienced.Initially there were 2 people behind the counter, 1 was preoccupied optimising the playlist and never looked up or served anyone the whole time we were there. It took15min to order as it was quite busy and there was only one person serving whom, if she rolled her eyes any harder, would have lost them into the back of her head. Mask wearing was pretty slapdash, with the servers wearing theirs incorrectly (under the nose)There was ostensibly a queue system, however she seemed to favour the reverse queue strategy, serving the most recent arrival. Perhaps it was the idea thatd wed clearly stayed this long, we were obviously committed to the idea of gelato and so wouldnt leave. Eventually another person came out and proceeded to serve in the traditional arrival time order and we eventually got our gelato. Which is fine. Augustus does have a good selection of non dairy flavours and a huge variety of flavours. Nice setting, they had all the windows open and its a veyr attractive shop with a nice park across the road. |I think the quality of gelato is better down the road at Gelato Lab, but they do have less flavours, particulalry with regards to non dairy.

If we could give higher than 5 stars, we would!The gelato is the perfect consistency. They have lots of vegan flavour options. Everything we tried was excellent.Some of our favourites were the Baileys and Brownie, Snickas, and Caramel Mudcake. They also had a peach flavour which tasted wonderful. Im also partial to cotton candy/fairy floss, and theirs was very nice.They give you HUGE scoops! Excellent value for your money. We highly recommend this place!

Loved bubblegum, Nutella and the Mango and coconut with pieces of coconut inside!!

As a serial gelato eater, this honestly has to offer the best range and depth of flavours of gelato at least within the whole of Bayside (I want to say Melbourne, but I havent tried them all!). They also have vegan flavours that arent just fruity, and allow tastings which is super handy for those who really want to nail their visit and come away with what they want. Recommend the carrot cake, raspberry white chocolate and pistachio - but everyone is different, and so is every visit! Seating is available indoors and out, and you can choose cup or cone. Highly recommend!!!!

Massive portions, the sorbet is so fresh and the flavour is unmatched. The staff is super friendly and there is a nice cute little sitting area.

The best ice cream in the local area. Delicious flavours every time. I find that I have something that always suits my desire, with abundant flavours, generous servings and friendly staff what more could you want!

Some of the best ice-cream and portion sizes around!Last time I went here I got mint choc chip and baileys and brownie flavours. They were absolutely incredible! Other flavours that are a must to try are; water melon & hibiscus sorbet, cotton candy, bubble-gum, raspberry and white chocolate. Next time I go here I cannot wait to try the carrot cake frosting flavour. They have a very expansive range of flavours that you have to see to believe and it is hard to narrow down the choice to two.The portion sizes are very very generous and absolutely great value.They also have a great range of cakes and although I havent bought one (yetthey look very spectacular. On top of all this they also have great flavours of milkshakes.The ability to buy ice-cream to take home is a great idea when you want to have people over (after covidand coming here has been a highlight of my week in recent months.I cannot recommend this place enough and I look forward to coming here again soon!

This place has been a savour during Melbourne lockdown, we love riding down to our local Augustus for a treat, the staff are great and there is such a range of flavours, we are trying to get through them all, but can’t help going back to our favourites. Oh and can’t wait to try the cakes! Yum

It all begins when you approach the colourful Augustus building down on Bluff Road and this sense of excitement overwhelms you! This sensation is doubled as soon as you enter the building and receive a smile from behind the counter and your eyes fall on to the delicious trays of gelato. There is an old fashioned feeling of going to a gelatery and its something to be cherished, memories for our youth who probably dont have the same access to an ice cream shop as we all did. For Sandringham to have its own Gelatery is a wonderful thing, something which we all should support! What better store to have than Augustus. If you dont believe me, pop on down and see!

Amazing selection of ice cream and gelato and friendly staff. Have tried two flavours so far and both were impressive, want to try them all! Recently got the snickas, which had cashews and swirls of carmel, yum! Location has outdoor seating and a park across the street with seats to enjoy your treat.

The icecream is great, nice flavors and good outside area.The portioning is inconsistentSometimes you get a massive serve and the next time is half ….For the price you pay it should be consistent.

Great sorbets and plant based options.Awesome couple of young girls working here tonight so friendly (maybe they were bored and wanted a chat as it was quiet). But very happy and great to talk to and seemed to know the business well which isnt common in young people these days. Too the owners, make sure you keep these girls.Definitely be back to this location soon. Used to go to mordi but found this store to be more quiet and able to enjoy the gelato without the hussle and bustle of busy main Street

Lots of flavours! Sorbet Strawberry amazing! Great outdoor sitting area at the back to enjoy it all with the kids! We will be back, again!

If I said my son worked at an icecream shop but we still drive here for the flavours then that might indicate how good this place is. Yum.

Best Ice Cream shop ever!! I live just around the corner and have been so many times! my favourite is green apple, chocolate, nutella, Raspberry. Staff are all so nice and love a chat!!

So many flavors and the cakes look amazing!Will be one of our new ice cream shops from now on.Mousse cakes I feel are expensive for $49.00 not as nice a tub of ice cream. Was a little disappointed but love the ice- creams we have had. The shop is lovely and clean and easy carparking.
