After dealing with the covid-19 lock downs in Melbourne, me and my family decided enough was enough. We finally bit the bullet and moved everything to Sydney. We are a family of 4 and due to mechanical reason our beloved Toyota Hilux finally gave up on us. Nearly all the vehicles we have owned have been Toyota, so we are well and truly fans. My wife and I searched and searched for weeks trying to find one, but with everything going on with vehicle stock at Toyota we had no luck. Until we managed to find this dealership and within a couple of days Clay and Marcus had me and my family back on the road again. This place represents what car dealers are lacking these days. Good, Honest and straight to the point when it comes to selling cars. These guys are your go too.

We purchased the car online as the overall pictures looked good (must be photoshopped). My client lived in rural nsw and they said they deliver, they were nice over the phone and the client was happy to await seeing his car. Once delivered the body had a few scratches noticeably on the drivers door and light damage on the bonnet, also oil leaking. We contacted the last mechanic that got serviced on the book. He told my client that the car had a head gasket leak. We took it to the local mechanic $2100 later of repairs plus needing 4 new tyres. A week later 2 letters came in the mail for 2 toll invoices on the day of delivery totalling $28, we contacted the dealership about this and the rudeness of the salesman about the situation, I wouldn’t recommend this place, not even to my enemies

0 OUT OF 5 STARS ACTUALLY!Purchased a vehicle in June from this company. Clay seems nice and personable when youre looking to purchase. I bought interstate due to limited stock, I was told the car was in great condition, well maintained. The communication quickly changed when we noticed that the vehicle started having oil problems. Now the vehicle has major problems with a $12K mechanics report. Marcus is extremely rude and dismissive, telling me to "just go to Fair Trade", not willing to negotiate or assist with the repair of the vehicle. As for Clay... I havent even spoken to the guy since he sold me the car, he doesnt return my phone calls, no replies to my emails. Clay and Marcus have definitely lived up to their stereotypes of used car salesmen. Hope youre happy with yourselves!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!I recently purchased an Audi Q5 for $18K. I’m located in Brisbane, I did a FaceTime call with Clay to inspect the car. Was told that it was well maintained with no problems.Got it delivered up to Brisbane. The guy that delivered stated that the oil light had come on when he was driving it over so he quickly topped up the oil for me - very nice.3 weeks later the oil light came back on, I checked the log book and the car hadn’t been serviced in 18 months.. “well maintained”. I sent Clay a text asking if they had just forgotten to add a more recent service in the log book, no reply. I got the car serviced, oil changed.3-4 weeks later the oil light came back on AGAIN (3rd time). I took it to my mechanic, he couldn’t find a leak, topped the oil up and said if it happens again to go to Audi.3 weeks later the oil light was back on, I organise to get Audi to look at the car. They recommended an oil consumption test, where you fill the oil and see how many kms it takes to run out. I called Clay numerous times, no answer. At that point I had owned the car for 3 months + 2 days. Finally spoke with Marcus who said it was out of the warranty period, and stated “wait to see what Audi says”.4 weeks later, I get a bill from Audi to fix the oil problem (1.5L of oil in 440km!!!!)…… $11,700!!!! I contacted Clay immediately to advice. He said I was 2 days too late for the warranty and needed to tell him earlier… even though the problem has been there since DAY ONE!! They would not help me at all. Offered me absolutely nothing.I spoke with Fair Trade and was advised that according to the ACCC the warranty period is “a reasonable amount of time” and the car must be “safe, quality and long lasting”, Auto Outlet Direct has failed me on all aspects! I wrote Auto Outlet Direct an email advising that I would like a full refund for the car and to contact me within the week to resolve the problem. I called multiple times per day, no reply. I sent text messages that were read, no reply. 10 days later, Rob finally answered, I asked if we could come to an agreement, he stated “no, no just go to Fair Trade”. I advised that it’s a 6-8 week wait, and I’ll be still driving the car, so it would be easier just to resolve it between us otherwise I’ll keep increasing the kms. Rob did not agree, instead told me to “stop arguing”.So now we are waiting for Fair Trade. The way these men have spoken to me and absolutely disregarded my concerns is appalling. Not one apology for the situation. I will never buy a secondhand car again.

I would like to thank Clay, Marcus and Dan on both their excellent service and communication when I purchase my car from them just shy of 2 week ago. The complete process from enquiring about the car to purchasing the car was very easy, not to mention getting the car delivered within 2 days to my town. Because of Covid and lockdown, I was unable to travel, see and test drive the car personally. I did do my homework though before going though with the car purchase and I did ask quite a few questions , but thats what you have to do. Both Marcus and Clay were very open and honest about the car and what the fees were going to be. Worst customer service. Marcus is rude. We are buying used car not any lemon. You cannot decide in 5 mins and Marcus is too busy to answer your queries. I checked other reviews as well and all bad feedback about his service.Thank god I am not buying car from him else I would be in trouble in any issue comes in future.

I bought a car here last month, couldnt travel to inspect myself, so did the deal over the phone and had the car delivered to me.When it arrived I found Id been stung. "It just passed a roadworthy" they told me, but it had too many problems to list here.As soon as I tried to get in touch they blocked my number and never returned my calls.Wish I could give 0 stars.

The customer service is more dodgy than that car and that speaks volumes. 2.5 months ago I decided to upgrade my car as I was 8 months pregnant and wanted reliably. I purchased a car from Clay. Upon signing the paperwork Clay stated that the car would not come with dealer warranty due to its age. With the covid lockdowns I was unable to view the car and was having it delivered to me I told Clay that I wouldnt be able to go through with the sale unless there was some sort of warranty. Needless to say the sale went throughand the car arrived. Since then the car increasingly began shuttering and is now entirely undrivable. I emailed Clay directly and his short arrogant answers caught me off guard. Failing any helpful response from him I called the dealership and spoke to his co worker who indicated that I should take them to Fair Trade. When I explained that I didnt want to go to Fair Trade, I just wanted the reliable car that I thought I had purchased from them, and that I now had no transport and a 6 month old child he laughed and said "thats good".Such an unbelievably gross and unprofessional group of men. Not only would I avoid buying from them, I would also suggest avoiding any unnecessary communication as the whole experience has left me very upset and frustrated.

Had a great experience at Auto Outlet Direct. Clay and Marcus were friendly and upfront, answered our questions but also left us alone to do our own checks. The car was listed cheaply which initially worried me, and inevitably buying second hand has risks, but I was reassured - they pointed out some aesthetic things which drove the price down, provided all log books, and most importantly they were happy for us to take it to a mechanic for inspection (not all dealerships like this). The business model is also low price high turnover (60-80 cars a month vs 10-20 at other dealerships), so cars might have the occasional dent or scratch, but if you don’t mind that it also means a more relaxed sales experience, they seem happy to let a car’s merits speak for itself.

IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS, I WOULD. We saw a car advertised on Car Sales that this dealer was selling. We are from Victoria and due to COVID travel restrictions, we could not examine the car so we asked if an independent mechanic in NSW can do so. The dealer said that he cannot hold the car for a few days unless we paid a holding deposit, which was to be refunded if the car did not pass the inspection. The mechanic advised us that the car had major issues, and we were not prepared to go through with the purchase. The dealer refused to reimburse the holding deposit. We reported the situation to NSW Fair Trading and the government Ombudsman and neither were able to help us with returning our holding deposit. So BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THIS DEALER SAYS.

Worst experience ever. Behind a quite friendly and welcoming face lies a dishonest person. Clay sold us an Audi that he claimed in mint condition and that had always been looked after. He even offered the delivery service that we gladly accepted and paid for. Not only he didnt pay for the toll when one of his worker drove it to our place (we had to pay for it, sent emails asking for a refund never got an answerbut we when the car arrived it started smoking and had straight away big issues that we are still getting fixed. We called him once and he pretended that he didnt even remember selling an Audi.Would never recommend to buy a car from him as he probably would dodgy patch some repairs enough to rip you off and pretend it never happened after.

My daughter who is 18 purchased her first car from this car dealer less than two months ago on 23/9/2020. She spent all her savings on the car.The car had two issues a faulty washer when we bought it and soon after purchasing the car, we noticed that when opening one of the rear window, it was sliding down faster than the other ones. After a couple of weeks, the window could not close and we had to manually pull it up and make it hold with strong tape.I mentioned it to Marcus, the person who sold us the car. He said book it in our work shop and we will fix it.However, I received the worst customer service as he did not return my calls when trying to book it, he was obnoxious and practically hung up on me twice. I had to call him three times on the same day, each time he pretended not knowing who I was and finally arranged a booking for the next day.The mechanic knew nothing about the window that needed to be repaired. I had to call Marcus again to discover he changed his mind and was not going to cover the cost for the repair of the window. I then spoke to his boss Clay who argued the car was 11 years old, therefore has no warranty if older than 10 years blah blah blah and he hung up on me when I said I was going to write a review and call Fair Trading.(Again the car was bought less than two months ago).Marcus showed us a very different side of his personality when it came to deal with the issues. Displaying very poor customer service, a lack of courtesy and professionalism very different approach to when we purchased the car.Also, when we insured the car we could only insure it for $3500 market value and my daughter bought it for $5750.

WORST POST SALES EXPEREINCE I HAVE EVER HADI purchased a car from this dealer in July this year for just under $13,000. Unfortunately, during the first couple of months of driving I noticed some shuddering when reversing & harsh gear changes. I took car to my own mechanic & they outlined quite extensively some potential issues & recommended I took the car back to the dealer while still within warranty.I dropped the car off at the dealer & was told I would be updated on the fault finding & repair process. I called a day later & was told there was an issue with the clutch that they were going to repair & cover under warranty. Each subsequent call made I was told that this was a “huge job” & I would be called once it was done. Multiple times I asked for more information about what specifically had been done, with this question constantly deflected with the reply that I would be called once it was done. I reluctantly agreed to wait upon this call from the dealer with the trust that my car was being looked after. I called to follow up once a week after a few calls during the first week.3 weeks passed with no legitimate update from the dealer & hence I called again requesting more information. I don’t know how long it takes to replace a clutch, & hence I was always understanding of how long the repair was taking. I asked for more information regarding the delays to which he said he does not ask the workshop, which was literally across the road, any questions about the repair & just waits for the bill/report after the work has been done. I told him that I would appreciate if he talked to the workshop so I could get a proper update on what work had been done, to which he blatantly refused & suggested I pick my car up in its current state if I was unhappy with this service.I emailed requesting direct contact to the workshop & obviously conveyed my frustration caused by the prior phone call. I was thankfully given a contact. The workshop immediately told me that they had simply been waiting on a hoist to free up so they could work on the car. It is incredibly frustrating that the dealer had refused to ask or pass on this simple piece of information that would have easily explained the wait time.I picked up the car from the dealership 25 days after dropping it off. The car was powdered in dust, had square grease marks on the roof, & some sort of red sap was dripped over it. No one made any apologies or gave any sympathy for my situation & simply told me how much money they had spent to fix the car presumably suggesting they were doing me a favour. The cost of the repair was a fraction of the amount of money I gave them to purchase a car which had a defect which legally had to be covered by warranty. I do not see this as a favour by rather a responsibility which they very reluctantly did with the absolute lowest level of professionalism.I find it poor that no apology was ever made to me & while I do not expect an extensive clean of my car after repairs, as that is not what they are being paid to do, I think anyone with any pride in their work wouldn’t have left the car as dirty as it was when I picked it up. The whole process was incredibly unprofessional & very frustrating considering the simple steps that could have been taken by the dealer to make the process smoother for both parties.The dealer was consistently rude & could barely even make out a word to me when I came to pick up my car. This dealer has been incredibly unprofessional, impolite, & incompetent. I don’t know if they were simply unhappy that they had to cover nearly $2000 worth of repairs & labour, or just lack the basic communication skills to keep a customer updated. This was the worst post sales experience I have ever had.

I bought a car from this dealership and soon after i got the car home i noticed the car was leaking extensive amounts of oil. I arranged for the car to be inspected by an independent mechanic where they told me the car had failed head gaskets and rocket cover gasket, would not likely pass registration and is a fire hazard. None of this seemed to be picked up by Auto Outlet Direct when they "thoroughly workshop tested" it. The independent mechanic quoted the repair to be more than $8,000. I have been clear and practical in trying to get a refund for the faulty car but after a week of back and forth, I have reported the dealership to Fair Trading. To date, they have refused to provide a refund. To say I am beyond disappointed with the lack of service and professionalism is a gross understatement.

Bought a BMW yesty good little car heaps of grunt in the Sydney area it was possibly the most reasonably priced BMW Ive seen since driving I found the thing had loads of extra features like bi xenon headlights am very happy with purchase and would more than likely refer people who are looking for a car.Edit: Staff were polite, paperwork was simple and done in 5 and they were more than willing to let me test drive other vehicles which I did.The Mercedes was a close second.Thanks again guys.

Stay away from this dealer, I am not the only one that was sold a faulty vehicle and I should of read the reviews before i puchased a car from them. Within 2 weeks of owning the car a engine fault came up which I contacted Clay Mullens to have them inspect and repair it. He refuse to accept responsibilty and blames us for the fault. Took him to fair trading and after a lengthy battle and a loss of $6000+ to repair the vehicle out of my own pocket I wouldnt recommend the headache & stress to deal with them.

After the untimely and unexpected news from our local mechanic that the engine in one of our cars was gone, we were faced with a repair bill that was more than the car was worth.We werent exactly in the position financially to buy ANY car really, but had a budget of around $5000. With lots of searching we realised there were cars in that range, but many were older, or had lots of high kms. Still, amongst those there were some decent potential cars.We were looking at medium sized cars, and after speaking to our mechanic, had an idea what we should focus our search on (roughly).I realise $5000 isnt a big budget, but thats all roughly we could afford.With more and more research we came across the information from the MTA (and NRMAregarding the sale of second hand vehicles and user warranties. Anything over 160,000kms or 10 years old (so 2009was not covered by a statutory 3 month warranty, and instead only under Australian Consumer Laws.That narrowed the field somewhat, and again taking into account the Takata Airbag recall narrowing things further.Im not a mechanic but a car enthusiast, so know a little bit about various car related things.Heading into the yard first thing we noticed was how well kept the cars were. None of those gaudy price stickers emblazoned across windscreens. None of those tacky "Cash for Cars", or "Cheap Loans" signs that tend to accompany the stereotype of the used car yard (along with the sleazy, slicked back haired, ever hovering and harassing car salesmen).None of that at all at Motor Gallery. Its a family owned business along with Auto Outlet Direct, and the family are proud to tell you that.Jesse was friendly, approachable, and laid back. Was happy to tell us all about where they obtain car stocks from, and there was absolutely no pressure at all. We asked for a test drive and he was happy with us taking the car with no license imprint at all.Car drove really nicely and ticked all the checkboxes we had via a car inspection app. After 30 minutes away with the car we were convinced.Arrived back at the yard and struck up a conversation with Clay about some stunning classics they had in the yard. Really laid back and friendly.With clear PPSR and NSW RMS checks, we went into the office and again no pressure from Jesse asking how we went. We told him wed go ahead with the car, signed all the paperwork and was on our way with our new car.The whole stereotype of the "sus used car calesman" is smashed with these guys. They are honest, upfront, respectful, and above all thing car enthusiasts.A few things Jesse wasnt sure about and he was open and honest in saying that. He explained the warranty to us (some reviews I noticed complained about this), so that shows they are learning from any issues of the past.One thing people need to do, is RESEARCH a purchase before buying. Dont impulse it. Understand your consumer rights and warranty periods, and research the car you are after heavily (recalls done and stickered, timing chains or belts, service history - and if so has it been done, does the odometer match with service intervals, test EVERY electrical part during your test drive, test the brakes, the turning circles, the lot). Ai solid understanding of what you are buying makes you more astute as a purchaser. In our case this allowed us to fine tune our car search and look for the common issues in the model we were after.Some reviews here the issues experienced are well documented common problems with cars of that age/km. In addition to this, before or immediately after purchase have your regular mechanic look over the car and get a report done. if you local mechanic gives it a pass, you are laughing.Personally, I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone after an affordably priced second hand car, or something really special (and they have some special cars in the yard).To all the team at Motor Gallery / Auto Outlet Direct, well done and well be back in the future when its time for another car.Thanks again!

After running around all of Sydney negotiating with multiple dealers and private sellers, my best mate referred me to Clay and his business as he had bought a classy Volvo there for an extremely decent price. Absolutely disgusting service! I talked to them through their official Facebook page and we agreed at a price and that I would be coming on Thursday. I go there on Thursday after driving 2 hours and when I get there the guy says we sold the car yesterday. ( note: I talked to them yesterday to set the time to come)I argued and showed them the conversation and the guy was like, ‘oh we have another girl who manages the Facebook page maybe she didn’t know’. Absolutely waste of whole day and my time, no care for customers

Excellent service all round. Despite a rough start where the first car I purchased from them broke down within a week, they handled the situation very professionally by organising the disposal of the car and gave me a credit very close to the original purchase price. Within a couple of weeks I purchased another car from them - they gave it a thorough mechanical check and delivered it to my home address shortly after. Friends have been surprised at how reasonably the car was priced. Trust these guys, they will look after you and will positively redefine your perceptions of used car dealers. My family originally purchased one car earlier in the year for my brother we were so impressed with the quality of the car and the customer service provided that we have now just recently returned and purchased a second car for myself.The caryard was very clean and there were plenty of cars there varying from all different price ranges, makes & models so there is an option for everyone no matter the budget or intrest you have.The paperwork process was easy and all completed in a short amount of time with Clays great guidence.Both cars are functioning smoothly (like brand newwith no issues at all.Highly reccomend this car yard, they are fantastic!

Super happy with my car bought from Auto outlet. Car was sold in fantastic mechanical condition due to them doing a pre sale safety inspection on every car that is sold by them. If i can give these guys 6 stars I will! Very genuine people, specially Clay, who has only been helpful, considerate and understanding. He sorted out all my concerns immediately with open communication. I went to purchase a car from them & we agreed on a price & shook on it. I had a few questions about guarantees & warranties & the owner would not answer my simple questions. I kept asking & he refused to answer. So I decided it was not worth the risk in buying the car & got up to leave. The owner then started abusing me & was extremely rude. Who does that! What kind of sales man is rude in that way to his customers. My advise is buy else where.
