Basehor City Park in Leavenworth County

Beautiful. Its a good 15 minute walk around the park.

Great park! Lots of room for running and playing! There are 2 large shelters, 2 separate playgrounds, basketball court and restrooms! So much space and shade!

Absolutely love the new playground! And the community garden is amazing and perfect for our town. I come here all the time with my son and it is always clean and well kept. I especially love they have a bathroom thats clean and stocked. Everyone we meet is always so friendly, youll love coming here for a hike around the trail or to play and meet new people with your kids.

Everything here is very nice. Plenty of shelter houses, plenty of play areas, all very accessible and with multiple public restrooms. Only complaint is that theres no way to tell which shelter house is which unless you park, get out of your car, and go down to the bulletin board to see the very faded number handwritten on the monthly calendar inside (which at our shelter 2 was a month out of date in the middle of the next month).

My husband and I love walking here by ourselves or with our daughter. There are several playgrounds that she can play on. We also like seeing how the community garden is growing!

Nice park. It has pavilions with bbq facilities. I think that they need to be booked in advance.

The trails are very nice I hear they will be adding a basketball court this week it would be nice if they were to put lights along the paths and around the park the bathrooms are not very good but other than that the park is a nice place to hangout.

The City does a good job of maintaining and improving the relatively small Park over the years on a limited budget. Good amenities, especially playgrounds and community garden. Sidewalk circling the original space is marked for walking distance. Shelters are in demand and can be reserved in advance. Our favorite is the Gazebo.Many events take place here, including a very popular Haunted Trails Halloween event staged by high school students who participated in the Public Library club

Great family park for entertaining the young and young at heart. A great reprieve for local residents.

We had a birthday party/ birthday party at the shelter and it was super clean and big with electrical outlets and a huge playground for the kids.

A huge park with multiple sets of play equipment and a nice paved trail for running. A huge pumpkin is an interesting part of the park. It also seems they have a community garden there. I don’t know where all the other kids play though because the park is almost empty every time we go there. They have bathrooms with running water but they had some really loud noise in the ceiling it seemed and the place smelled strange, maybe just a musty old building smell. They have a nice gazebo area, picnic tables and benches throughout the park. My kids favorite part of the park is the newest bright green equipment and there is also a big picnic shelter by it.

This is a wonderful park with a wide variety activities to do. This park was also recently updated with new play equipment.

Great equipment and beautiful and peaceful. Great walking trail, too. I took one star because I hate woodchips, and the playgrounds have them. I wish they would have gone with rubber for the new addition. My toddler was wearing a skirt, and the wood chips stuck to her diaper like velcro. Just have to remember to wear a diaper cover when were there. Really nice park, though!!

This park is great! I would love if there was a nice basketball court for balling up with the boys.

This place has a great walking path that I use every time Im in Basehor. It is peaceful and normally not crowded.

This park had plenty to do. It has a kid section, a baby section (swings mostly), told of hosting room if you need it. It is also expanding and the city recently added a walking path on the east side of the park.

Nice park but needs to be cleaned up. Mud everywhere and the bathrooms are the worst I have ever seen.

Outside the library concrete building....I get the history but damn it looks ridiculous.
