I talked to (I thinkthe owner when I was in today. He was SUPER knowledgeable and helpful and the place has a lot of really nice instruments.

I highly recommend this store. I rarely write reviews, but I think BCR deserves one.First, the customer service is by far some of the best Ive ever experienced. I went in to pick up an order for my uncle to deliver to him on Sunday. They even gave him a shipping box, in case he has to ship it back for any reason. This is really classy.Also, I have been looking around various guitar stores for a new guitar after selling a couple guitars over lockdown. When I even stated that I wasnt planning on buying anything today without looking at all my options, they still treated me like a customer. Ive experienced the complete opposite at the big name guitar stores where I said I wasnt going to buy anything and then they left me completely ignored. These guys are highly knowledgeable and want every player to find their own perfect guitar. They even said that they would call me when they get a certain guitar in just incase I want to check it out.All three people I spoke with today on 8/11/22 were some of the nicest, most knowledgeable, people I have ever met working in a guitar store. It seems that the local guitar stores/small businesses always have the best service. I put these guys right up there with my local shop "Guitars on Main" in mount joy as being my favorite shops to visit.Thank you again BCR!Joe S

Came in to check out their in-stock G&L guitars and ended up leaving with a guitar. Very friendly staff that was willing to address all questions and concerns regarding the instrument. Guitar set-up was fantastic. 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely be coming back!

Very informative employees who have lots of patience answering technical and nontechnical questions They have a passion for their string instruments. Store is well organized clean and aisles are easy to navigate. Its a go to guitar store. They have a large assortment of amps new and used. Employees are welcoming and very friendly. I had the shop take a look at my guitar when the strings started buzzing on the 14th fret. The staff here were incredibly knowledgeable about the situation and solutions available. They communcated with me throughout the entire process and we eventually determined that although they could fix it, the cost of doing so was almost the value of the guitar so we did not. Overwhelmingly positive experience with BCR.

My dad passed away and left me a guitar that needed love and care. I didn’t have much left to remember him by, so I had asked if they would save the strings for me. Cody and Kurt took fantastic care of the guitar, to include trying to get the bend out of the front of it. Unfortunately, it wasn’t going to be fixed without extensive rework, so they had a recommendation to put different strings on it that would help with playing. The strings were a great idea, best I’ve ever played!! They cleaned up the guitar - it looks beautiful 🤩 These guys truly care about the instruments they work on and play. They updated me with a phone call as needed and provided timelines, so I knew what to expect. As a musician for over 35 years, I highly recommend BCR as your go to music store. You will get fair prices and phenomenal service. Cody and Kurt took care of my dad’s guitar and honored him by doing so. Thank you both from the bottom of my heart ❤️

I called about doing a body crack repair. They said they absolutely could do it or know someone that could. I brought the guitar down to get and estimate. They suggested I dont repair it, but if I did want it repaired, they didnt know how long it would take or how much money it would cost.

I bought a few guitars from BCR twenty years ago for my kids, and use to rent equipment from them to DJ parties with my wife recently dropped in to look for a odd part for a guitar that they did not have in stock. They were not only very friendly, and helpful but gave me the names of three other non chain store shops in the area to check. Some things never change, and one thing is the customer service at BCR saying they are awesome is a understatement. The only thing I hate about the shop is that there is always a guitar there calling out my name when I go in the store, and they are way to quick to let me play it. Again great people and service.

Amazing guitar store. Looking for a new guitar for my sons 18th birthday we came to the area (we live 2 hours away). Went to a national chain first and I could tell he wasnt into it. Stopped at BCR next. What a difference. The vibe was great, excellent selection. Sam was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Gave us options in our price range, explained the pros and cons. My son found the right guitar and is ecstatic. We truly felt like they wanted him to have the perfect guitar, not just make a sale.

I stopped by BCR Music & Sound to see if they would be interested in buying an old guitar that had been collecting dust. They checked it out & even though they did not buy it, they took the time to tell me a little about what they look for and what was wrong with it. I have no knowledge of anything guitar, but they told me about other ways I could sell it and what it was worth. The staff was extremely friendly & knowledgeable. Not many businesses go out of their way to help like this, and I was very pleased!

Fully customized my MIM strat and got it back from the shop in a bit under 2 weeks. Truss rod and action were a bit out of place after getting it from them and one of their workers Jarred helped me the whole way through this process and also went out of his way to pickup my guitar from my house and took it back into the shop to make the proper adjustments free of charge AND also dropped it back off!!! This place is awesome and has top tier customer service, I will be sure to return. THANKS BCR !!!!

I have been a vintage guitar dealer for over 18 years, Greg has always provided me with in-depth information for any question that Ive ever had, hes always been honest and upfront and reasonably priced. if youve ever needed any significant repairs done to any of your guitars this is one of the only people that I would recommend ,he has personally repaired and is in the process of repairing my own personal vintage guitars in my collection.

It would be hard to find anyone else on the planet thats the equal of the craftsman that Greg is. Hell shoot you straight on gear too: if he thinks something is junk, hell tell you, if its great, hell tell you, and you can bank on his advice. LOVE my PRS Archon amp that he steered me too.

My go to Strat has a 15 year old set up by Greg, Graphite nut, truss rod, action and intonation. I wont let anyone else touch it. Recorded two albums, played hundreds of shows, only guitar I played for years, except my back up....Another Strat I bought from Greg , already set up by Greg.

Beware...IMO He faked a call right in front of me to the Fender Custom shop for a pickguard for my Jazz Bass 5. I called the Fender Custom shop whom I had done business with thru another music store. No contact from a BCR music. They only deal with authorized Fender dealers. Is BCR an authorized Fender dealer? When I was told the pickguard was in it wasnt right. It wasnt even in Fender packaging. It was for a Jazz Bass standard 4, so I took a picture of it right there on his counter. It looked home maid. Really cheap. Remember that Greg? You fake.

Wow. Greg the repair guy is the man.. I called in about estimating the cost of a small repair, to which he replied, "Id love to take your money, but this repair is actually very simple: just take the... etc" As it turns out, I was able to do it very easily just like he told me. Im really impressed with his integrity. Every time I go into BCR I am pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and good service as well.

I first visited BCR back in November 2015. Upon entering their shop the second time I was greeted by my first name. Ive since purchased 3 guitars and 2 amps from them. Theyve been helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I cant recommend them highly enough.

Greg and Kristins shop is a great place to just go and browse as much as to buy an instrument, amplifier or effect pedal. Greg knows music, and will help you find the things you need to make music and his guitar repair work is the stuff of legends! So if you are looking for any of the brands BRC carries, there, do yourself a favor and skip Guitar Center and head to Lemoyne where the greeter at the door is Lucy the friendly puppy rather than some over-inked, over pierced kid with the personality of a houseplant.

Greg has always been honest and accommodating when Ive visited his shop. Great service and great products! No one can handle the tough repairs like Greg can. Ive seen some absolute nightmares that hes made into dream guitars. I trust him with ANY repair.

ignore the negative impatient person..if you want the BEST for your guitar-its Greg. And sometime you have to wait in line for the best..especially when rush orders comes through. I have bought from Greg and He has bought from me,and his repair work is out of this world. And he is fair with prices and knows more about Tone than anyone I know. Want some custom sound, tell him what you want and he will tell you how to get it.

I see that some people have complained about how long it takes them to get work done on their guitars. Be assured, it might take awhile, but it will be correct. Actually, he fixed my stepsons botched re-wiring of his Paul Reed Smith guitar over Christmas day once. Very often, his schedule is pre-empted by big-name rock stars who need their repairs done right now for shows in the near future. So, if you want the best, you might have to wait. Dropped your Les Paul and cracked the neck? Well, he is the man to see. Somebody else may not make it so perfect that you cant even tell.When it comes to purchases, you ignore Gregs advice at your own peril. He knows guitars. He listens to how and what you play, and he suggests the equipment that is going to give you the sound you want.
