Amazing place. We enjoyed the food and the most kindness services . Thanks to Ariyana. Youre so kind. We will return absolutely
Excellent food. A warm family feeling resturant.
Spaghetti was over cooked. Every single clam had soil in it. Tasted so bitter. Worst spaghetti I’ve ever had.
My starter was okay but lacked flavour, it was a garlic pizza base and couldnt really taste the garlic. The main (spaghetti with pesto and chickenwas really disappointing, the chicken pieces were cold and the spaghetti luke warm with a watery pesto and again not enough flavour.
Popped in yesterday, the customer service was excellent and the food very tasty. Thank you very much! This is Sea Bass with Asparagus and potatoes. A marvel.
My friends and I had a lovely dinner here, the bartender Harold was taking care of us… really appreciate the waiters as well they were really looking after us, 100% recommended 👍🏻 Will be back
The worse pizza I’ve ever had.I went with a group of people and we all ordered pizza. It was tasteless, bland and plasticky and my Italian friend couldn’t eat his. The staff are really rude and when we said something they said that we shouldn’t waste the food and next time don’t come back. We were truly horrified.Pizza express do way better pizzas. If you want a truly great pizza, go to Per Tutti. Now that is extremely tasty Italian food.
Visited Aug2022 for lunch al fresco. Superb food, a great wine list, excellent service and an unbeatable location. Located in French Row, St Albans, the restaurant has limited outdoor space to use and has found furniture that fits just right. For outdoor diners, the location is ideal for people-watching while munching. The food is excellent, well-cooked, packed full of flavour and in generously portions. The beef ragu (or bolognaise sauce, seems to be the samehas a deep, savoury flavour, packed with umami. The rizotto di mare was rich and strongly flavoured with a large number of mussels. The wine sampled today was a merlot from Veneto which matched the beef ragu (the wine was not tested with the rizotto di mare). Glorious.
We have been going to this place for nearly 3 years now. Always the food is nice and very delicious very tasty as well. Very nice family place to be.Service very polite and friendly.Best restaurant in st Albans .
The most outstanding Italian! Best Ive tasted in years.Found this place from a disappointing Zizi review about their service and compelling dinners to walk the distance and find an amazing experience. They were not wrong and nothing disappointed.Accommodating of childrens portion sizes and pasta changes, ordered a variety of dishes and every one of them was packed with authentic flavour and so filling.Im here from Cornwall for other reasons but Id happily say its worth the drive for this.
Awful experience was waiting outside for 25 mins without even being asked for drinks due to being a young group. So we decided to just leave. Do not recommend terrible service
Walked out of the nearby "Zizzis Italian" because the early evening service was so dreadful and so slow. Walked up the street and discovered Bellaccinos, a fine restaurant with fabulous food, lovely wines and great service. We will certainly revisit soon. Recommended.
The food was quite good. The staff were very friendly. We were outside so the obvious issue with attracting attention existed. But the food came quick was of a good size portion and tastySome of the soft drink seemed very expensive for what they were. Food reasonable priced.
We had lunch today a lovely experience .very good service nice staff great home made food .
I ordered a pizza Burrata which arrived cold with the whole Burrata even colder. Dreadful.
I have just eaten in there for the first time the food was not worth the price as the food seemed like it was all pre cooked it was edible but didnt get any satisfaction from my lasagna and the pizza.
Went in for a quick lunch, all was very nice, good attentive staff
Had a lovely lunch today, food is excellent so.is the service. Thank you to the staff who let my 3yr old grandson make a pizza to take home!!!!
Distinctly average food in a very loud venue. The staff are very friendly, at least!
Lovely, friendly italian with attentive staff and a great atmosphere. Visited with our daughter for her birthday. Sadly didnt have all on the menu and a bit embarrassing to sing happy birthday to the next table and not ours when they had been made aware. Otherwise would have been 5 star.
Delicious food, great pizza and pasta, Tiramisu was average but still pretty good. Service was fantastic.
Very nice restaurant and lovely staff, the food is delicious like home made italian food ! loved it.For the third time, and I absolutely love the food and the service. The staff are so friendly and genuinely kind. Thank you for being patient with asking for what’s not on the menu and always dealing with a smile. Plus food is so delicious!
Authentic Italian food and a wonderful setting. Having recently been to a popular independent Italian restaurant in Watford and been hugely disappointed (a bland tomato sauce on everything, poor presentation and serviceI tried exactly the same dish at Bellacinos - the seafood risotto - and the difference was night and day. Friendly staff were lovely to deal with and as a bonus they dont add a service charge onto the bill automatically which is a bad habit of an increasing number of restaurants. Highly recommended.P.S. to the owners, if you are looking to expand, please open a restaurant in Hemel Hempstead! There isnt really anything like this here.
Really delicious food and reasonable price. However it took 40 minutes to get our pasta dishes order. The waiter continually forgot to bring us a our coffee order and our bill. Found the service excessively long
Had a very bad experience at the dine in.We had made it clear about our dietary preference for no onions for all of our family of 3 and the wait staff did indeed confirm it as doable. The pizza came had many slices on onions on it which we did inform the staff about and they promised to sort it out and did indeed confirm with us specifically saying "they are getting the pizza remade".However something really disgusting happened after that. The new "remade" pizza appeared in just a matter of 5 mins with no visible signs of onion but a lots and lots of cherry tomatoes halves on it.The horror shook us when we found a few slices of onions hidden in the pizza.. guess they were a little deeper with the cheese and they failed to take those out.My complaint is not with the accidental slip up that happened the first time and which they did promise to rectify. My issue is with their standards for honesty and integrity when they claim a dish they took order for to be remade and then passing on the same exact food with a little reshuffle and they claim it as a remade food.I did bring this to the attention of the staff serving us and she too did seem rub it away and just ran away from us without saying anything. So much that it was a massive challenge to get her to give us the bill for payment. She seemed to keep ignoring us after this incident. Guess it must have been a loss of face moment for them, but indeed good establishment take up the responsibility and put their hands up when such a thing happens. I totally understand it can happen to the best of us.She attributed this lapse to a miscommunication between the kitchen staff and the wait staff which I am unwilling to accept.
This restaurant does not appear to welcome lone diners- I visited and asked for a table for one person and was directly to an empty table with no reserved sign visible.Within moments a different staff member appeared and asked me to leave and I was swiftly ushered out and made to feel completely unwelcome.I won’t be returning.
Great food, service and atmosphere, topped off by a surprise birthday candle in our daughters dessert and prompt to the entire restaurant for a rendition of 🎶"happy birthday to you" 🎶 ...a nice and appreciated touch...thank you !!!
Truffle pizza was a revelation. Pizzas very good. Filled up quickly after noon so get there early or book on a Saturday.
We enjoyed the lovely food and the staff were very friendly. My only concern is that the toilet does not have a double door separating it from the restaurant. As somebody did not close the toilet door we could see the open toilet from our table! Not very appetising when you are eating. There is just a bead curtain and there should be a solid door surely.
Bit let down to be honest, the service and atmosphere of the restaurant was great but the pasta didnt taste as fresh as I would have liked. Rest of the food was a little bland. Overall still a good experience though.
Visited Friday evening for dinner, staff are very pleasant & friendly. Food is really well presented, tastes fantastic & priced very reasonably.
Small lovely Italian restaurant. Good prompt service as well as lovely homemade lemonade.... ordered avocado caprese salad & a green salad. Arrived promptly, was very fresh and delicious. Will happily return when next in town.
Service is warm, nice and very efficient. Food is perfect and authentic. The environment is cozy and quiet (the music is good as well!We really enjoyed our dinner. 🥰
Never been before, we had two courses and the food was so good, the prawn linguini was the best I have tasted, and the ice cream with coffee and liquor was amazing. Loved it. Please try it you will not be sorry.
Lovely food and ambianceStaff are always friendlyArancini are delicious
First visit and met all expectations. The food was lovely with good pizza, pasta, meat and fish options. The decor was modest but felt very Italian with little windows in the walls showing scenes that added to the atmosphere. The real gem was the staff, exceptionally welcoming and attentive when wanted. Proper family restaurant. Definitely one to visit many more times.
Ohhh! Best dinner for a while! Lovely staff, amazing steak cooked to perfection! I can feel the love it has been done with. Thank you and I will try to be back.
Been visiting this cafe/restaurant since 2016 and it has always been a delight to go there. From amazing coffee to delicious meals, the cosy and friendly atmosphere and staff are always a treat! Great if you want a quick tasty lunch or dinner with friends! I was very happy to see the place buzzing with customers after the tumultuous year of 2020, definitely going back again!
Tried this place for the first time and Risotto rice was undercooked and pizza was burned from the bottom. Can’t recommend this place.
Really nice Italian restaurant with outdoor seating. Good service. Great pizza and ravioli.
Good choice if you want to eat Italian food in St Albans 👌👏✅
Eaten twice here in as many days. The food is exceptional, the staff incredible and the setting delightful. Definitely return. A wonderful experience with a very reasonable bill for the meal.
This was an suprise meal that was very nice from starter to main. The starter was fresh and moist. The location was nice with no smokers around.Positives:Location nice and sweetFood was greatDrinks was lovely and refreshingService was 6/10Blanket was given to keep the lady warmNegatives:The Calzone was lacking Bolognese sauceThe seating area we was in was in the only area with no patio heater, it was 6degrees outsideWe had Calzone, Polpette, Garlic pizza bread and French friesI will be coming back and I cant waitPreggo preggo
Lovely fast service, calamari and pizza. The waitress was super friendly and helpful due to it being very cold and us sitting outside, providing us with blankets.
Absolutely fantastic and warm hosts. The food was amazing and quick service. Absolutely recommend!
We were a group of 6 and accommodated at two adjacent tables with clear screening between to ensure we were within restrictions without any issue! Booking a table was extremely easy online. The food was delicious, we had a mix of specials and standard menu items and it was all incredibly presented. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. The restaurant was impeccably clean with a lovely atmosphere! I would visit again in a heartbeat.
Amazing food! Had the carbonara and it was to die for! Definitely coming again another day!
