20 years ago this park was run down and filthy. Today the city of Rome has spent much money bringing the park back to life. They have docks for your canoe. Walking trails even fishing.Across the way there is a visitor resources building with restrooms and a laundry room.I would say that Rome has some of the best and cleanest parks in the county..

Found this little place by accident while looking around the city of Rome. I stopped and had a picnic lunch at the new shelter the last trip I was here. I see this time they finished up the little dock they were working on, even though this time it was under a few feet of snow. Looks like this will be a good place to take a little walk on the trails (which i did in the snowand maybe fish in the canal.
