Benchmark Dental in Salt Lake County

They took me in as an emergency case during the peak of COVID-19 and extracted a tooth that was causing extreme pain then waved the bill. Ive never trusted a dental office so fast in my life. The people who work here go above and beyond to make you comfortable and calm. This is going to be my permanent dental facility.

This is by far the best dentist in the valley. Dr. Jessop is not only an exceptional dentist, but she will also advocate for the best choice. She doesnt take shortcuts, and she does perfect work! My smile is exactly what Ive always wanted, and she made it happen in half the time other dentists estimated. I genuinely look forward to visiting her office, and I will not be going to any other dentist.

I cant speak to Darrells "most expensive dentists ever", since I never really paid attention before to the varying costs, and only recently moved back to Utah after a decade away. Most of my visits there have been to replace my old silver fillings with new composite ones. One appointment had them doing most of one molar and they charged me for 4 surfaces (4 sides of the tooth), which is the ADA prescribed method of billing. The total charge for the appointment, including nitrous oxide, was $250. My insurance pays 80/20, so I was only responsible for $62.50.Again, I dont know how that compares to other area dentists, but it seems fine to me. If they are most expensive, then its only a case of "you get what you pay for". My strip-mall dentist back east was a butcher compared to Dr. Jessop. I have never had such a pain-free experience at the dentist as I have had at Benchmark. Everyone in the office is kind, helpful and very friendly. Dr. Jessop does great work; she sculpted the composite fillings to the point where I cant tell what is filling and what is real tooth. Even looking up close in the mirror I cant tell the difference. And a week later when I called and asked about some jaw pain I was having, she sat me down in the chair and filed the tooth down, free of charge, and the pain went away.Also, they dont immediately send you to collections if you dont pay. I had many visits in 2009 and without realizing it, I used up all my insurance benefits so my last few visits I had to pay 100%. They were very kind and understanding and helped me work out a monthly schedule to pay them back. Never a word about collections and only empathy for my situation.Up until visiting Dr. Jessop the first time, I dreaded and even avoided the dentist. Now, I will never go anywhere else, and I told everyone at work that they should go there too. They are that good. If they are more expensive than other places, it is only because of the first-class service they offer.
