The young woman working was so friendly, intuitive and gave us lots of good suggestions. Filled us in on the current local events. The visitors center is 5⭐️. If for some reason they don’t mention the local Donkey Rescue and Sanctuary- be sure to Google it and go!
My wife got to drive the trainI think they thought she was a heavily tattooed child
Got a tour by the man who made the indoor train system. Fascinating to listen to him.
We stopped here last month on our way to Willcox. There is so much to see. Its like a little museum. Kathy is so friendly, helpful and really knows the region. She was such a great source of information. We learned all about the historic Route 80. Definitely stop in when youre in town!

What a great place to stop and visit. Staff so helpful and kind. They know so much about the area and Cochise County. Inside the building there a model train set up that you can operate. Makes you feel as if you’re driving the engine! A definite stop along historic highway 80.
Great place to go and look around at! I had no idea that the Amtrak actually stopped there. The people inside have a lot of knowledge and will teach you how to drive the miniature train. Truly made my day!
Friendly staff and great place! They have a mock Railroad simulator were you can drive the G gauge train and you can watch just like a conductor. Lara helped us find a new favorite hiking place. It was closed, very small place. Sorry not much else to say!
This place is real cool. Person there was a wealth of information. Even have a train there you can drive, now how cool is that. You have to try it out. Dont forget to tip so they can keep it there..

A great stop in Benson, especially if you are a railroad fan. Nice job!
Didnt get the ladies name working today (10-9), but she went above her job description by finding out about the carry laws for me. A gem of an employee. Hard to find workers like this now a days. Thanx!!
The kids enjoyed driving the train around the ceiling.Nice staff
My kids LOVED driving the model train, we have their engineer certificate on display at home
Great place to stop by and learn the history of Benson. Thanks Bob for telling us all the great information and showing my daughter how to drive a train.
We stopped in to plan our long weekend in Benson. There are great historical displays and the agent seemed to know which brochures we need without us even having to ask for them.
Best stop for helpful local info. We were set for our entire week in the area. Restauraunts, wineries, kartchner caverns, distilleries. Saved so much time and better than Google. Thanks so m7ch.

Great information on Benson and the surrounding southeast area of Arizona. They even have a running model train.
Amazing. They have a working model toy train with remote simulation operation. So in case you want to explore how the job of train operator is, you must visit this place. The sttion master and his colleague were really nice people. Highly recommend it!!

Love this place and entire town. Used to own a dress shop there,MiLadies Boutique. Loved it and my customers. Their office was next to my shop for a while.
Saw Bat Dudes Car . ... Nice as Hell fr
A must-stop in Benson! The people are friendly and knowledgeable: theyll talk you ear off for as long as you want. The train simulator is pretty cool - And you get an engineer certificate when youre done! Youll find out all about the railroad and mines in the area as well as things to do...
Not only is this the local Amtrak station (actually just a stop and pick-up point), its also a fine place in the heart of town to park and picnic. A nice, sturdy gazebo sits right outside of the visitor center next to the series of handpainted murals that adorn the parking lots walls. Noisy, yes; convenient, yes. Great place to watch the pulse of Benson.
The people here are very friendly and kind. Keep up the good work.
This place is really neat, there is a G scale Union Pacific train that runs along the ceiling, the best thing is you can actually drive the trainand be a conductor in the replica of the inside of the cab, there is also a camera mounted to the front so you can watch it on a monitor. The staff is very knowledgeable on the history of Benson. Great Place.
