Bento ya Japanese Cuisine in Hornsby Shire

My wife and I regularly drop in for their Bento Take Away lunch specials. Easy parking at Westleigh Village and relatively short waits for walk in orders.Karaage Chicken is my go to, whilst my wife prefers the BBQ Beef (Bulgogilunch special.The Kabayaki grilled eel is another favourite.Some of the side dishes (seaweed saladmay be foreign if you are unaccustomed to Korean dishes - but be adventurous and give them a go!

Was not expecting much as it is only in small shopping centre but sushi was awesome and got the fried chicken bucket which was just as good. Will definitely be back when in the area.

Just ordered the miso ramen. I’m pretty sure the miso and the bean sprouts are off. Doesn’t taste good, had a couple mouthfuls and left it. Sashimi was nice.

Quick dinner light and fresh.Katsu salad awesome. Missus Tempura plate was perfect with prawn and veges.Agadeshi Tofu hot and full of flavour, just right.Youngsters had a feast…Master had Teriyaki Ramen, ate the lot. Love the chicken nanban, kids love the sushi rolls. Fresh, high quality ingredients. Best Japanese around in my view.

Best Restaurant in Westleigh. Fresh, yummy and healthy food with immaculate customer service. Try the Teriyaki Salmom Bento or the Beef Don.

Very good quality bento boxes! The shop is small and it’s take away style, like you pay before you eat; but it worth the travel and is best place in the area for a bento box.

We order from here regularly - its tasty and fresh. Its a bit expensive for what you get though and the food is quite salty - I like salt but its a bit too much for me and I definitely wouldnt want to give it to children

Chicken nanban was not bad, but far from authentic. Katsuobushi (bonito flakeswere on top of the chicken, which detracts from the flavour, and the batter for the nanban should be closer to karaage than tempura. The nanban sauce was very good though. Takuan was a bit smaller than I expected it to be for the price (considering you can get a roll for a few bucks at the local Asian grocery store).

l love their set lunch. The chicken namban with rice is great value. Their hand rolls and fried chicken are also superb. However, their noodles arent as good as the ones youd find in Artarmon and Chatswood.

The sushi here is the best! Cheap, affordable, yummy. Definitely coming back soon!

Finally! A local Japanese restaurant. Decent food and reasonable prices. The sashimi was pretty fresh and the udons were good. Portion sizes were on the small side. Casual setting makes it good for kids and they have high chairs available.Have already been twice, and Im sure Ill be back.

Decent for the locals. Wide range of delicious food to choose from, good lunch menu. They choose very fine ingredients, sashimi tasted very fresh!! clean and simple environment with friendly staff.
