Berean Christian Early in DeKalb County
Great place for daycare & Pre-k.
Very friendly
Children are number #1 here. Early education, they are encouraged, supported and prepared to continue and further their education.
MoreWonderfully blessed clean and great personnel workers. Really Christian greatly greatly appreciated. My grandson likes it and teachers coordinators are wonderful. Ms Toya and Ms. Dee greattttt
MoreI am hard to please when it comes to childcare but they came through!(my angels are 1 & 3 at the time of this review)𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲:Property is well maintained and secured. I know my boys are safe when i drop them off. Interior is always clean. When a virus enters the center, its treated like code red and they remove and wash down (sanitizeeverything. There is plenty of parking and a nice pickup/dropoff area. The classrooms are spacious and I like various playgrounds. The property itself is a decent size.𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 & 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀:The director and staff are all wonderful. We are greeted every time we enter and exit the building which just adds to the welcome. It amazes me how they know the names of ALL the children and parents. I know how challenging it can be to keep the same staff but whatever business model they have in play is working. The fact that the staff turnover is almost non-existent speaks volumes to me. You can tell Ms. Toyya really cares for the children and she makes sure her staff feel the same!𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴:My children are constantly showing signs of growth and improvement in terms of developing their social, cognitive and motor skills, in addition to their prayer life which is expected from a christian-based education. There are so many activities and lessons involved and they are pushing their limits everyday. The teachers are very in-tuned with each child. If something doesnt seem right, they wont hesitate to let you know.𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴:Fair. I dont think theyre overpriced, Im underpaid but I do wish they had a sibling or public service discount. If the tuition included video access to the classroom through an app or website, it might soften the blow lol. Now I dont know what the older review was talking about in terms of food because "dem babies is eatin". Every time I turn around its a meal/snack time or a classroom party celebrating something (more $$). My kids are never "starving" or hungry at the time of pick up.𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀:I cant attest to if they are money hungry or not because I havet experienced anything to say that they are. I guess Ill find out if I ever fall on hard times ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ BUT people have to remember that even with all the love and time that is poured into the children, this is still a BUSINESS and at the end of the day a service is provided in e̲x̲c̲h̲a̲n̲ge̲ for wages. We already know that good quality childcare is hard to come across, especially on this side of town, so I say again, Highly recommended!
MoreSome comments are false I do not believe they are money hungry. We was late on payment even after a Tuesday. They would like to be informed of late payments that’s all. My son loves it and his teachers. He has been coming here for 11 months. And it is nothing like his last daycare he cried when he would get dropped off there. So I see a huge difference in my child’s behavior and his learning skills. Thank you all at Berean early learning academy!!
MoreYou are paying for the looks of this place. I will give it to them that it is a nice looking center, but my childs wellbeing is more important. One it is over priced, they barely feed the kids and they are just getting BOOKS in the classrooms. I heard the director tell a teacher to go to goodwill to buy toys. WHAT, Im a highschool teacher and know there are books that directors and teachers order from specifically for the class. Please, I say please make sure your child is mute, because you take a chance if your child cries, of your child being kicked out. I have found numerous scratches on my child, but nothing was done. The teacher ratio is terrible. I have seen one teacher work from open to close with the toddlers, terrible. The moral is low and children can sense that, which can cause them to act out. I loved the infant room and Mrs.Sylvias room, after that start looking elsewhere for daycare. Oh and a majority of the five stars are by paid off teachers,I got this info from one of the best teachers that quit months ago that went to work for Rockdale School System.
MoreThe simple fact that the teachers are the only ones who care is why I give this place gets 3 stars. My daughter went here for a year she started when she was 7 months. She was in three different classrooms and all her teachers said the same thing she’s too smart . Ms. Silva and Ms. Afelia ( definitely spelled that wrongthose were her two favorite teachers. Actually when I think about it From the jump I had reservations about this place they treat the pastor like he’s a GOD and going to the church is like going to a club who plays Mary j as their entrance Song to the stage. But anyway this daycare only cares about the money and you can tell cause once Tuesday got at 12pm if you don’t have that money they blowing yo phone up saying either have it or figure out what your gonna do with your kid the next day cause they can’t come back. The check in girls in the front the people who answer the phone phone smh like I said the only people who will actually care about your child in this place are the teachers.
MoreI work here. Love this place
One of the worst schools. This school makes our community look even worst. They donot care for your children they let them do whatever then get mad at the parents for the kids being kids. They make the smallest things a huge deal. I am a politician in this community and I would never endorse this place. We took our baby girl who is 3 currently into gwinett schools where they actually work with your kids behavior problem and we have had nothing but joy.. DONOT TAKE YOUR KIDS HERE. READ THESE POST AND TAKE HEED. THIS SCHOOL IS MONEY HUNGRY AND UNDRIVEN BY HAVING YOUR KIDS STRIVE.
MoreGreat place
My daughters started attending Berean Christian Early Learning Academy in August. Our experience has been nothing short of amazing! From the director, Mrs. Toyya, to the staff, were greeted with cheerful smiles, and everyone shows their due diligence to learn every persons name that walks through their doors. I feel assured that my children are safe and treated well, with a Christian- based education to boot.
MoreYes
One of the worst child care falicity I have ever encountered. My daughter was kicked out after a week for not napping and running around. Mind you, shes 3 years old and this was only happening with just one teacher. Other teachers seem to not have any issue with her. For a so called Christian school, they could have dealt with it in a Christ like and professional manner. I was told on the phone that it will be her last day without a meeting or any kind of solution. Am not saying my child is perfect by any stretch, but forcing a 3yr old to sleep an hour and half after arriving in school is crazy. Get to know the child, figure out what works. This is what you are trained to do......so do your job. I wouldnt leave my worst enemys child in this facility.
MoreWe love this place. Our daughter did well here. Staff did an awesome job with her. We had to move & Im so sad to take her out. Its been a blessing to know she was in great care. We will miss Berean ELA center. God bless you all. Thanks for taking care of our JU JU lol. Hugs
