Absolutely maddening experience with their appliance department/customer service. Used to buy tons of appliances for rentals, but its now just a huge waste of time. No accountability. Left waiting for appliance deliveries that never came. Took dozens of calls/numerous hours on the phone to try to get refunded, etc... Super frustrating.

Last year on Black Friday, I spent over 9 hours in the store. Hadnt been there in a while. And they have these digital price tags. I SWEAR the price tags kept changing, sometimes I felt like they were changing depending on who was in the isle. It was haunting. Anyone else experience something like this? It was giving me so much anxiety I ended up breaking my phone just by squeezing it so hard. Another weird thing. I ran into about 5 of my friends I havent seen in a while, all of them in the computer accessories isle, saying they were looking for a good deal on a gaming monitor but couldnt find one.I wonder what this years Black Friday will be like.

Consistently way too long getting service through the Customer Service desk. Checking out? Theyll have 5 cashiers ready to help you. Trying to return or do something through the Customer Service desk? Be prepared to wait 30 minutes for one person to work through a line of 8 people.

I took my laptop in to see if it was worth getting it repaired. The gentleman who helped me out was absolutely wonderful, but we came to the conclusion that it wasn’t worth fixing. The next day, I came back to buy a new laptop. I was assisted by a different gentleman, who also provided exemplary customer service. I wish I had been able to catch either of their names, but I was in quite a rush both days and it totally slipped my mind to ask so that I might mention them by name in this review.

I was disappointed today when I went in. Im looking to buy my mom an apple watch. I had a budget of $400. But no one would help me. I was also looking for a gopro hero 8 with a budget of about $300 for that.. But once again no one would help me. On my way out 2 girls were giggling and asked if I needed help. Upon requesting help they informed me the people that help with those things are not around. I asked if the Target ACROSS THE STREET sold them. They said "maybe, have a good day"I would never ever allow people to say that if I ran ANY store. Unfortunately THE RIVERDALE BEST BUY will no longer be a store I shop at. Here is the best part...its obviously a culture within the company. They really do seam to pick and choose who they help. That my friends, is what makes capitalism great. The company has the choice to take your money or not. This time they chose to loose a customer instead of taking 600 or so in sales.Dont shop here. They obviously understaff the store. Which makes it very VERY hard to buy things as 85% of the things are locked up. Go to target, its in the same parking lot. Target takes much better care of their employees. And you will notice the difference the second you walk in. I would give this less than 1 star if I could.Sincerely, a decades long customer that is saying never again. A customer that has millions of followers and picture views. (They will see this I sincerely hope this impacts this store to the point of reform. But it wont.

I always like to come here when I need a new laptop. Ive had some pretty bad experiences buying online with not getting what I need. At Best Buy I just walk in, tell them what I want, and boom! They find the best option at the lowest price for my needs. Always super friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Great selection of everything electronics. Quality merchandise. Fun little toy section for kids. Always had a good experience with the employees. Ive done buy on line and pick up in store a couple times and never had any issues. We had to use them once to fix an iphone as well and they were great. We enjoy our shopping visit every time we come.

The store was under stocked and help was hard to find. The standard answer I got was we can order what I was looking for. I live 140 miles away dont want to come back another day to get what I got 8 miles further into the downtown area.

Best Buy is a fun store and they generally have the tech i want but my last trip to the Riverdale store was lacking helpful staff like they normally do and I was looking for pc games and was told they didnt have any??? And some wonder why retail has shifted to the internet. Hope it gets better because I do enjoy talking to a live person. I guessIm old school... Do better Guys, Thx

I know that there are not very many Best Buys around, but we love coming to this location, the staff is always super nice and very helpful. They answer all of our questions on various subjects from wiring our sound system to chat about phones and computers... Highly recommend coming here!

Came in to get info on mesh Wi-Fi no associate came to greet me, so I stopped one myself and asked them to call a person and they paged a person on the radio, I waited 10 minutes without any update… had multiple other associates pass me and not one of them told me anything like “are you waiting on help with…” useless non helpers. Fire them all

I bought 3 computers and 3 monitors from them spending over 10,000 in their store. However I called the call center to complain because they told me the wrong pickk up location which made me have to drive 2 hours away. But because the representative was upset with me she without my permission refunded my transaction so when I showed up to pick up the computers I was unable to. Then I had to deal with over 10,000 being held up because of this. It cost my company thousands in lost revenue. To make things worse they will not help me or take my complaint seriously. I now see why this is a failing company.

My family and I come here quite often over the past 5 or 6 years. Its really hard to get help when trying to buy things that are locked up or need to be ordered. Weve ended up buying most of our major appliances (washer and dryer and fridgeat Lowes due to not being able to get help. We went to buy a Sony OLED TV and a Samsung watch today and no one came to help in either section. I went upfront to get help, the customer service was really nice and paged some one but no one came. After seeing 3 employees standing in the middle of the store still not getting help for several minutes after we left. We were in the store for over an hour and no one stopped to help at all even after asking for help.

I bought a washer, dryer, pedestals and all the delivery options. The delivery driver / installation team was alert and noticed a pedestal was damaged. I was very impressed and pleased that they did not try to install something that was broken. However, my re-delivery appointment never got scheduled. I had to call, which was a nightmare. Then my re-delivery appointment was set for 6 WEEKS LATER. The night before the appointment I received all of the confirming calls and texts. I moved everything out of my laundry room to prepare for the delivery. Then, the morning of the appointment, the appointment got canceled. Getting hold of somebody who could help re-schedule was an absolute nightmare. Process is still continuing. Best Buy customer service is horrific.

The Great thing about thing about best buys. They are set up all the same. Make it easy to find stuff and get what I need. The good thing is the people there will assist you and. And make sure to help when needed. So its always good to go in and get help.

Picked up a television for prime days. I asked about the return policy and stay member took 5 minutes to look it up. They didnt find anything because its on Amazon side but that type of service matters. Grateful for it.

Quick service and friendly staff. We were just passing thru and stopped to have a screen protector replaced on an IPhone. They had no issues warranting our lifetime replacement screen purchased in another state.

Place was incredibly clean! Staff ready to help, super kind and knowledgeable. Just didn’t have exactly what we were looking for. Always a nice excuse to pop in and see what’s new. Pulled in to a curb side pick up spot and checked in. Showed successfully checked in on the app… waited… waited… 10 min pass nothing… another 10 min… nothing. We were the only ones there! It wasn’t like they were swamped. I Couldn’t go in because I had sleeping kids in the car… it’s 97 degrees outside… Finally had to Leave the air conditioner blaring to make sure the kids didn’t get cooked while I had to go in… no apologies by the employees. A bunch were standing around doing nothing… awful service

I will never go to the Riverdale Best Buy again! I made an appointment there to have something installed, when I showed up they said I didnt have an appointment. Also, they quoted an installation price over the phone which matched the info on their website. When I showed up in person they told me the installation would be twice as much. Very frustrating when youre treated that way.

They had no phone cases for my phone in stock and I have a Samsung galaxy s21 ultra so its fairly new. Also no Samsung earbuds in stock. The 3 employees I asked for help was kinda rude or straight up rude.. Which I thought was weird because normally when I go there they are all nice, or at least somewhat nice. Who knows maybe they were all P.M.S.ing that day!! 🤔 😂🤪 But I finally just left because I was tired of the way they were making me feel.. Almost like I was a complete inconvenience for asking for assistance.. But after I left I wish I would have remembered names..

Went in to buy an Apple watch series 7, and only after asking for help from the person screwing off on their phone about a fitment question was told you cant try it on because of the security tags and then he blunders walks off. Sometimes its remarkable how people have jobs. The dude working at 7:00 p.m. on May 16th and the computer and Apple section needs to have a firm talking to about his lack of interest in doing the job hes hired to do

First we went in for a printer, they only had floor models and the person that "helped" us was no help at all and had an attitude, I get that they didnt have printers that we wanted although as we walked around we did find others that he wasnt even about to show us he was too worried about getting back to his phone and buddy! We will never go back to the Best Buy on Riverdale Road.

Even though theres a BB 1 mile from my house, they dont install car audio. So I had to drive 30 minutes to this store. Prior to my appointment I tried to re-schedule and was told there were no other appointments available. This was an interesting twist as when I arrived there was 1 car in the bay and 2 guys eating Subway, not exactly a "hive" of activity. The $549 Kenwood I bought came with "free installation" which is the only reason I wouldnt just install it myself. Except for the $180 of random accessories "necessary" to install the radio. I asked if these were required and was told "yes", even though you can get a basic install kit at Crutchfield for $30. Interesting. I explained I didnt need the steering wheel controls or the OnStar. Nope, still required. I said forget it and just refund my money. The tech with ZERO hesitation said, sure you can do it yourself. Ok, Chad. I will. Thanks for nothing. Apparently theyre allergic to work at this location.

My husband and I were out pricing printers and stopped in since it was across the way from target. No one greeted us, no one approached us to see if we needed help. We had to seek out an associate for help/directions where the printers were. And once we found the printers, no one asked us if we needed or had any questions. The only time we were greeted was when we left. There were plenty of associates around but in their own world.Kinda of disappointment with the lack of customer service. Therefore we left with no purchase and went elsewhere to buy a printer.

I pre-ordered Eldon ring which said it was going to have a steelbook as a pre-order bonus. Later received an email saying some people would be getting theirs shipped for steelbooks and those people would receive an email with shipping information. I never received an email for shipping and it seemed kind of confusing for everybody that was having to take care of it at the store. They said that it could be shipping and didnt originally give me the steelbook but after we went to check out to purchase a couple items we asked Ethan I believe his name was about the steelbooks they had. He said he was also not sure but after I had dressed my concern for the limited quantity he was an absolute Rockstar and made sure that I walked out of there with one for me and my sister on our pre-orders. People that go the extra mile to make sure stuff like that that Best buy would have absolutely backed him up to say no make a place more than others. (Skinny short guy with glasses maybe late 20s not sure if that was his name)

This is a nice best buy, but dont expect stellar service. I had to hunt employees down for both things. First we needed a screen protector replaced, which was easy one I found someone. The employees would be huddled talking to friends so it was a bit awkward having to interrupt their convo to get help.We also had to track someone down for help with home theater equipment which took about 10 minutes. I finally just walked to the front to ask them to page someone which they did but then it was another wait, which may have been with it but they didnt have any of the units we wanted in stock. They dont provide rain checks for their sale either, but the employee tried to upsell us to a center channel 2x the price, which we didnt get because it wasnt any better audio.If you just need something off the shelf, its fine, but if you need help that requires an employee, just be prepared to hunt them down yourself because they arent proactive about offering help, even though it was really slow. I cant imagine if they were busier.

I went down with my Daughter & SIL last Nov for them to purchase a new 75in TV. We saw a Sweet sale on a Toshiba. We both ended up buying one. I left mine in the box unopened through holidays and painted my family room right after. It was time to get the TV out and finally set up my brand new TV. My friend was over helping me, we followed every direction on the box for taking it out and setting it up. As we were taking the plastic film off the front, we immediately noticed the bulge at the bottom and ultimately the broken screen. I immediately called best buy, the lady was rude and said they dont warranty screens. Before I could tell her it was obvious defective and appeared the glass wasnt installed correctly from the factory and caused the screen to break during shipping. When I did. She said oh yes defects are covered and she was ready to get an exchange going. Then she said since it was more than 15 days since purchase that they wouldnt do anything. Even though they should stand behind the product at least not having a defect that the purchaser cannot use in anyway. My friend called and talked to several managers who each sent him to another person and they all said they felt like they could do something to make this okay. Ultimately, they all passed any type of help and blamed the next for not having the ability to make anything ok. I get that it was past 15 days, I also get that its a Defect that they should hold Toshiba liable for. I also see they have the Exact same TV on sale for the exact same price and it isnt like its some old tech they cant do anything about!! They each had a choice to make a shity thing ok and keep a great customer. But they chose not to. Just in thelast 6 months, I have purchased a Laptop, a Google speaker, a Shark vacuum and a sound bar system. None of which was cheap. After the way I was treated, I will go down the road to another store and not buy from bestbuy again. I will also warn my friends etc of your lack of customer service and support.

Floor plan is easy to see what you need/where to go. No one rushed to sale us the latest gadget but a few did offer assistance when we were ready. Got a 47 inch TV for less then $300 and my husband was happy with the warranty price.

What can I say, Best Buy is and always worth a quick stop to price match electronic (allproducts. I like the items when you first walk in the door. Other than that I highly recommend getting a salesperson for assistance. Best Buy is a warehouse store with carpet. :). Happy hunting.

I havent been in a brick and mortar electronics store in a while but best buy as I remembered it isnt anything like it is today. The things I was looking for were on display shelves pushed off clumped together like they were being discontinued and I had a hard time squishing between shelves. These items werent available on the normal display shelves so I think I got in there before they flat out stopped offering them. Store looks desperate to survive and at this pace Ill be surprised if they do. Staff was very nice though! If it wasnt for them this would get 1 star. I think Ill just stick with shopping online.

Bought some computer parts and was enthusiastically helped by Nicholas at the Microsoft desk. He is very passionate about what he dose and really helped me out. Never at one point did I feel pressured to buy, he even let me know about a few discounts I was oblivious to. One of the best buying experiences I had with an in store purchase anywhere.

Very friendly staff. Willing and able to special order hard to find appliances. Would have garnered 5 stars for this visit except for 2 things: AOne employee (same one, repeatedlypestered me with questions while I was trying to compare preferred appliances: "Can I help you find something? Do you know what you are looking for? Are you looking for a particular color?"BLack of selection in traditional microwave ovens (not over-stove).Want to help your customers? Then in this day and age the first question must be: can I show you a specific brand or model that youve researched online? If the answer is "no", then here are follow up questions? Of all the features youve seen in ____, which do you like the most? Of all the quirks youve seen in _____, which do you find most annoying? Tell me about the space where ____ will be installed.

I have been looking for a deal on a TV for a while and this is the perfect month to do so. I went online and researched into this TCL 6-series which I purchased from this best buy. It was an open box so I knew it probably wouldnt have packaging. However on best buys website anything that is marked as a quality excellent and certified from the geek squad it would come with all accessories (or suitable replacementand packaging (or suitable replacementI got the tv loaded up with the help of these best buy employees and drove 40 miles back home. I pull off all the bubble wrap and NO accessories or power cord. I utilize an old TCL Roku remote to navigate the TV as well as a power cord that I happened to have FIT! Not only was this product not excellent certified condition as advertised, but also there is a big spot in the screen that is faded purple plus the tv would constantly get stuck on weird screens like this all green screen when booting up. Hard to think an "expert" wouldnt have caught it. Whoever checks these should be re-evaluated. The product is not close to the definition of excellent certified as advertised but instead fair condition. I will be returning it to a closer best buy hopefully tomorrow. The only thing these guys did right was help load the tv in my vehicle. In the photos you can see the problems described. I understand I took a risk trying to purchase an open box product but this was waaaayyyy off the mark in my opinion.

I needed a new laptop and found one I wanted on Amazon. After a series of struggles and undeliverable packages, I cancelled my order and visited Best Buys website on Black Friday of all days. I ordered online for store pickup in Riverdale.Even on the busiest day of the year, it took a mere 10 minutes to pick up my order. They were extremely organized and efficient. I couldnt be happier with the way the transaction went.
