Awesome fresh good and Betty was a pleasure to meet.

Cousin recommended Bettys from past experiences so we went with it. Placed our order and was told 20 mins, we got there at about 20 mins and had to wait a little longer which wasnt a problem. Got our food and took it home to eat. Overall everything was pretty good, my chicken and garlic sauce was pretty good, the fried rice was dry and little to soy sauces for my liking, but it was spicy as requested and the chicken was good. Everyone else enjoyed theres as well and mostly everyone thought the rice was blah. My one other disappointment was my wonton soup, the noodles were mushy and fell apart and the broth was just ok. Would I go back, sure its worth another try for sure.

Best Food Ever!! Cant & Wont go anywhere else

Go to Betty’s Pub in Cranston if you like hair in your food.We went for dinner last night, picked our food up….when we returned home there was a hair in my food. I made a call, and the woman who answered told me to bring the food back for my money. I bring it back, and she tells me it’s not her hair, so NO refund!!This is NOT the first time this happened, however things happen…. But gross NEVER again!!!!!

Open 10 years this quaint little American/Chinese restaurant has some of the best food I’ve ever had. No kidding. And I’ve been everywhere. Almost everywhere. Like … I’ve had Chinese in Samoa, MA, CA, PA, GA, MI, CA, LA, TX, FL, NZ, England, Holland … and Betty’s just might be my favorite.The seating is no frills. And that’s fine. They put there attention where it counts. There’s a Nice big bar. Cheap drinks. Mai Tai’s are served in pints. And that’s nice and all. But it’s all about the food.PuPu for 2 was Perfect. Crispy goodness. A good amount of wings. The right amount of boneless ribs. Fingers, shrimp, rangoons, rolls. All awesome! House Lomein is exactly what I want it to be. Lil shrimps be adorable! Beef and broccoli is perfect. Sticky wings are in my top 3 of ALL TIME!!! The General Tso is literally the best I’ve ever had ever ever. And the duck sauce comes in a syrup dispenser and it’s awesome.Betty is a delight and I love her!If you are going I’ll drop anything and everything and come with you.

Chinese food was good a little pricey but the inflammation of food and the prices and everything is going up but it was good food

Betty was nice, attentive, prices descent for quantity. Place is a hole in the wall, but I like those, cocktail good and strong. Ive had better Chinese food but overall descent.

The place is very run down. The karaoke and pool are a myth. If you enjoy soy sauce and oil this is the place for you. Otherwise they do not use seasoning. The drinks were not blended thoroughly. The waiter was decently mannered. They have their regulars but other than that idk how they are still in business. The bathroom was atrocious. Way to expensive for what your served in quality.

Been here a few times now as it seems most local Chinese places start off great than simply just fall off- Not Betty’s! Great food and placed an order the day before New Year’s Eve, and got accommodated for New Year’s. The food was ready and waiting right at 4:30 like they promised. Definitely going to be coming here more often.

Literally WORST SERVICE EVER DO NOT EAT HEREthe server who was Betty herself was soo rude I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my life. We ordered a scorpion bowl which was ok but it tasted like juice no alcohol at all after I asked her if she could take it back and fix it she told me “that’s how I make it” overall the experience I had was so bad the restaurant smells like mold and ceiling is literally caving w water damage.

Everything was delicious and it was the best Lo mein Ive ever had and Ive had a LOT. Anytime I get Chinese, my son and I get Lo mein. Put it this way, I like to eat as healthy as possible and take in vegetables when I can but I always remove the veggies from Lo mein because I end up picking most of it out and wasting it and they cant separate the ones you want from the ones you dont. Anyhow, at Bettys, theirs comes with fresh peppers and onions and it was delicious- none of those bamboo shoot things etc. My son and I ended up splitting 2 orders because we loved it so much and were hungry for more after our 1st order AND ate every single bite of it!! That is the 1st time EVER that weve eaten all of our Lo mein WITH the veggies!!! Aaaand they offer the typical round Lo mein noodles as well as the real skinny angel hair noodles which I also love! We tried both and loved them both!! The meat was also tender and delicious and she was also able to give me a flavored scorpion bowl when I asked. Ive actually been told "no, we cant do flavors" in other Chinese restaurants lol, so that was refreshing. Then, to top it off the service was friendly, prompt and accommodating in every way!! It was a great experience and well definitely be going back!!

Very friendly owners and staff here. A neighbourhood hang out really. Classic American Chinese food with a Thai flair. Actually pretty fabulous curry here and I love the sticky wings. Makes a great Scorpion Bowl and you can watch Jeapordy at the bar. I eat here once or twice a week so the food must be pretty good! I give it a solid 4 stars because its a neighbourhood bar dont expect a fancy dining room just good food. 😊

Mom&Pop Chinese Food restaurant. Good food! Even during Covid, good service, great drinks. take out, delivery, and Covid safe eat in. Tables are spread out, Ive always felt safe eating there. P.s. also they have added AC for the summer!

WORST SERVICE EVER DO NOT EAT HEREthe server was soo rude I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my life. We ordered a scorpion bowl and beef dumplings to start, and when we got the fried dumplings they were soggy and rubbery. I politely told the server that we didn’t like them and she took them off the table. When we got the bill they were still on it, even though we only had one out of the 6/7 that was there. I asked about it and she proceeded to say “ there was nothing wrong with it right? No you just didn’t like them oh well you still ate one of them!” I asked to speak to someone else and the owner said the same thing that there was nothing wrong with the product and just because we didn’t like it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have to pay.. I said well can we replace it with something else on the menu and they both said we’d have to pay for it. This restaurant does not care if the customer is happy at ALL. They said all places make it differently but I wouldn’t have ordered anything if I had known they wouldn’t be crispy or good. DO NOT EAT HERE I could not believe how rude the staff was here, you would think the customers opinion would be valid but NOT HERE I wish I could give less than one star!!

We ordered in this restaurant and gave us the wrong order and tasted bad, when i went back to report, they did not give us our money back.

Last time I order in this place, the rice taste awful and the lady says that I just trying to eat the food and no pay.

Food used to be good but has gone way down hill lately. The service is terrible!!! I do not recommend.

White rice is frequently dry but we look past that as the entree is usually good. We have ordered delivery from them 5 separate occasions and it went over smoothly.Today when ordering delivery, we were told our home is too far for delivery.... however as stated previously we ordered 5 different times to our home. The reasoning was "The driver from your last delivery said it was kinda far so we cant"Disappointed in the customer service. Sadly we wont be ordering again since apparently the last driver thought we were too far.

Excellent service and food, crab rangoon, beef teriyaki, lo-mein , and generals chicken all far above the usual soggy mess you often encounter these days from other restaurants.

My gf just ordered a combination. 2 egg rolls , chicken fingers order , pork fried rice , small to average portion because it was part of the combo. + one container pork- low - Mein , Id have to say a decent amount of low - Mein in the carton enough to feed 2 people. So -... Were satisfied ! Cost us 20.00 - thats with tax and delivery charge so not bad . delivery charge was 2.50 - 3.00. Oh ! 2 egg rolls were 4.25 or so.. So.. 8.50 for 2?

Alot to say - when I first walked in, I was not impressed. It had a divey feel, it has no back door and the bathroom (mensis toddler sized. BUT - BUT....as I began to eat, ALL of that meant less...and less..and less. As many have said...the crab ragoons are amazing. I had their hot and sour soup ( supreme flavor), the ragoons, and a mixed meat platter combo with egg roll and rice. The meat was tender, sides great. The service, very friendly. It loses a star on atmosphere and amenities ( NO AC...gets sticky). But what matters the most - the food - solid A. If Bettys was in a moderate traffic strip mall, or shopping center AND invested 10k in basic store improvements, she would be SWIMMING in business. Try Bettys - take out eliminates all the negatives.

Met Betty at the counter and asked for some "soft food" having just had my gums cut and sewed at the dentist. I needed to take some pain meds and could not have an empty belly. I asked for bread which wasnt even on the menu and she offered me some she keeps for her own breakfast! I ordered their house special lomeine and it was a perfect fit. Friendly patrons and staff. Ill be back!

You wouldnt expect a place like this to have great food, good food yes but not great and they do. Plus theyre open late as theyre a bar as well so extra points there.

Hands down the absolute best hot and sour soup in the state. I have never had a bad meal here. I love the mein fun, crab rangoons and vegetable fried rice. They make a great scorpion bowl too. Staff is great and they deliver. The only downfall is the small parking lot and little street parking.

Just tried ordering delivery.. their online menu says you must order 10 dollars worth for delivery.. the lady tells me I have to order 15 dollars worth of food. So I did and then she calls back to say she wont deliver it because Im too far and I said well arent you in Cranston like me? And she said yes but we just deliver to neighbors...????? Um maybe you should put that online too.

Betty makes a good scorpion bowl. Lol!Seriously though, although they were out of what I would have typically ordered (general tso tofu), the meal was very good.The menu is diverse, has typical pub food on it (Not chinese), so my expectations were low. I was impressed. I was expecting your typical Americanized Chinese, but it was actually more on the authentic side.

Being a regular I am unbiased in my experience here! All the food,drinks,andservice is fantastic and litehearted.The Volcano is my favorite try one !!!!!

Would never expect this little place they have such good Chinese food the crab rangoon is homemade crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the insideThe chicken fingers are fresh white meat only with a fluffy breading in the sweet and sour sauce is delicious a little runny though I like to mix the peppers in it. They put the peppers on the side in case you dont like them.The orange chicken is good with a bit of a spicy kick just how I like itBeef teriyaki is tender and melts in your mouth and the boneless spare ribs are the best Ive had in Rhode IslandThe egg rolls are also really good I find it hard to find a place that has good egg rolls. The duck sauce is also homemade with a hint of cherry.Overall I give this place four and a half stars it would have perfect 5 stars if the rice was rewarmable in the microwave but it gets hard even if u add water so finish your rice!

If you judge a book by its cover you would never go here, but they make some of the best food I have found in Cranston.One of those places you need to try you wont be sorry.

This is a neat little hole in the wall that you would have no idea served AWESOME Chinese Food. The owner "Betty" is yes, Chinese and she is a charm. Everything here is made from scratch. The boneless ribs are the best I have ever had ANYWHERE. The Mei Fun puts higher end places such as Seven Moons to shame. All their food is fantastic. And she makes great drinks and Scorpion bowls too!
