Great place to hang bouncers are on point ...they handle trouble fast...drinks are great , pet friendly, all this place needs is a dj or a band

Oh boy I dont like giving bad reviews but I am sure I am not the only one out there with having this experience. Come in sit a the bar not even given a second glance. A good 7 minutes go by still not a thing from the Bartender, we continued to wait, mind you its not busy at the bar or seating area. Anyone whos been knows the bar is not big in or outside. Finally get attention after 14 minutes. Get an attitude as if we are bothering the Bartender maybe got some bad news while looking at the phone cause thats what was going on during our visit. Needless to say your action got you 0 tip and a the restaurant and bad review. Be thankful I didnt put your name or picture up.

I just waited 10 min to waitress to stop talking with others I was trying to order drink not everyone has enough time to wait that much it’s annoying.

Nice outside bar, no bartender. Thats the selling point and no service? Instead 2 bartenders inside not busy while majority of the patrons are OUTSIDE. Its summer. Make it a priority to have the OUTSIDE bar open. This has been 2 times now.

Pretty cool local bar. Nice big bar inside and outdoor sitting area with fire pits. Really cool vibe off and have a lot of live music and a big local clientele. Drinks are great wide selection and always have specials. They do not have a kitchen or make food however they are located right next to Smashmouth Burgers and you can carry your food and drinks between locations. It’s pretty great to hang out at an awesome bar with live music and have a Smashburger in front of you!

An amazing atmosphere with amazing staff. Drinks are served in a quick and efficient way. The crowd there every night has been great fun to drink with! Definitely the bar to celebrate at!

In all my years of working and patronizing bars and restaurants, I have never experienced such unabashedly misogynistic treatment to women in an establishment as I saw tonight at Big Chill Surf Cantina.When two strangers decided to shamelessly objectify my fiancé, security immediately came through to tell her, a disabled woman, that she was somehow escalating a situation she would have loved to extinguish from the get-go. The whole staff seemed dead-set on letting her know that she was unwelcome there. And when she brought that up, they had the audacity to tell us, “You can’t say this is an unsafe place for women.”A disabled woman made a fervent effort to convey that she felt unsafe, and she was immediately silenced by the entire staff. We hadn’t even ordered a drink by the time we were asked to leave, because somehow, the perverse desires of middle-aged men override the safety of women in general. Security staff behaved in a way that was clearly intended to directly intimidate us. It was absurd and disgusting.I’m sure someone will respond to this on behalf of the restaurant. I am imploring anyone who reads this to disregard that response. Their behavior was bottom-of-the-barrel. Their establishment is, beyond any reasonable doubt, an unsafe place for women. This is an absolutely toxic environment, and if your intention is to patronize a restaurant that regards women as human beings, I would suggest you go literally anywhere but Big Chill Surf Cantina.I cannot say it enough: Women are not safe at this establishment.(This review from 5/31/2022 was originally posted for Big Chill Beach Club by accident. I live in Camelot Meadows and on Tuesdays and Fridays I can hear the bass loud and clear which is ridiculous seeing as how far away it is. I work nightshift and get no sleep on those days because of it.

This place has great drinks and service. Theyve got a food truck. The wait for the bathroom sometimes can take some time, if you really have to go.

Its a shame. Weve been here dozens of times over the past few years and honestly it was one of our favorite places to go especially considering the dog friendly atmosphere. However, that all changed when they decided to put disrespectful bouncers at the door that feel the need to yell at customers as they approach the door or, at best, talk/treat you like trash as you show an ID. This USED to be an extremely friendly and relaxed environment. I dont like writing negative reviews, particularly when it has nothing to do with the quality of the drinks or service of the wait staff, but Cantina would be doing themselves a huge disservice by not reevaluating the individuals they have at the door. For newcomers, first impressions are everything and after having several encounters with the extremely rude doormen I dont think well be returning.

DO NOT GO HERE! It is a restaurant that doesn’t allow children which is not advertised. Was screamed at by a patron for walking in there with my 1 year old in my arms to ask if they had a kid friendly section. Bartender laughed at the lady at the bar screaming at me and pointed to a food truck outside. We went out to the food truck and the man working the food truck says “you gotta wait”. We were the only ppl there. I never leave bad reviews but this was an awful experience.

Really like the place. Swing by almost every time Im in the area. Its not great or goes above and beyond but it dependably open, always with a nice crowd, and pretty good staff. I do like that it isnt a chain and has a comfortable environment. It doesnt feel trashy like some other spots in the area. Id recommend it.

Amazing atmosphere typically with live music. The Cantina has excellent drinks/beer selection with great bar tenders and the best taco truck parked right outside (Taco Reho)

Ill probably change this once i go during the daytime. Night life is great though. Lots of people there and games for people to play while drinking and meeting people. I even met a few interesting people. Ill have to go again to know the place better.

Great Margarita! We were there on a Sunday afternoon and it was not crowded at all. We were out on the patio tossing Cornhole and eating tacos from the truck next door and loving every minute!

Pros: Great entertainment (Lower Case Blues), and dogs allowed. Cons: You cant hear the band inside the bar, & you couldnt order food (had to use a food truck nextdoor).

Nice bar. Chill environment on the inside, if you want something more lively, you can hangout in the outside area. We had the orange and cherry lime crush which were great. Will come again the next time I visit Rehobeth Beach.

Best bar on my opinion. Often hipsters go here, but you get a nice mixture of people. Bartenders are always friendly, and they have a nice selection of drinks.

Wanted to eat lunch here on Fathers Day with my family. We had camped at the park and had a parking pass. When we arrived at the gate in our Motorhome, the attendant said we needed to park down the road miles away? Funny there were campers parked in the lot and empty spots all around? Only thing I could surmise was that we werent paying to park and bringing in revenue? No chance to spend our money for lunch!

Girlfriend & I stopped here on our home to Maryland. Really cool spot. Outside bar in the back was cool & had good atmosphere. Nice selection of drafts. It was slow when we were there but Chris was nice & kept our drinks full.Only downfall is they don’t actually serve food there but do have a food truck out front which offers some good munchies. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Rehoboth.

Have not been there for over a year. Went yesterday. Still have great crushes, but needs some attention! Broken glass out back by seats and very dirty was a real disappointment!

Always a lot of people but great atmosphere!! Beer pong, shuffleboard, foosball, and other great bar games open to any and all! Great fast service!

A friendly place to go to have a beer and watch some football. Place is very diverse and has a unique layout. The Taco stand that brings food in there has great meals. I would recommend trying this place out yourself.

Fun time here , loved the live band, atmosphere, and how friendly the staff was. Would give a 5 star but my only complaint is about there duct system not having installation in or around it and being right above the bar stools so while you are sitting there it drops condensation on you or your drink and when you look up its quite dirty. Definitely something they need to fix.

Nice place but not what we expected. Its just a bar with food service from a taco truck next door. Margaritas were great, ambiance is great, service is great. Patrons at the bar raved about the food even though no one in the place had food. Will definitely go back but probably not when Im looking for dinner.

Atmosphere was great. Nice crowd live music was awesome. If you ever get a chance to check out Stone Jack Ballers do it. you cant miss this group if you love the grateful dead. These guys are the real deal. Cant wait for them to come back.

Enjoyed the place, nice atmosphere. Hate that Delaware charges me $10 to park if before 7:30. Anyway, major issue: I was really pleased to see that The Big Chill has Coors NA on their menu. I dont drink, and I have a hard time finding Coors NA, which I like, unlike other NAs. I commented on that to the waiter, my wife ordered a real beer, I ordered the Coors NA, and the waiter brought, and popped open, an ODouls. I asked him, and he said, "Oh the menus wrong, we dont have that." I sent the ODouls back. What part of my order didnt he understand?REVISION: My wife and I just re-visited The Big Chill last night. Same bartender. I ordered a Coors NA and he said, "We dont have that, will ODouls be okay?" So, I guess the message was received. Food was really good.

Nice atmosphere, drinks were good and reasonably priced. Thats the good part.Food was horrible, we had beach burger (over cooked and very drycrab cake sandwich was so-so. Fish of the day sandwich (Mahi-mahi very dry. Fish tacos were ok.

The Decor and atmosphere is most definitely chill. Bright, beautiful and not pretentious. Its where the locals go for an amazing experience every time. A+++

Always good times at The Big Chill. Bartenders are great. Killer Margaritas are $5 during happy hr. And the taco truck is off the chain. Literally. Its across the lot but they deliver ur food right to you at the bar. Sweeeeet.

Went there on New Years Eve night was told there was a $20.00 door charge.I told them i called several times could not get though to any one. Look on the website and it didnt say nothing about a $20.00 door charge.The doorman was rude and acted like he didnt care.Last time at this place.

Great casual place with live music. The food is pretty much the outside taco truck which adds to the atmosphere. The crowd is people of all ages.
