Food was awesome, prices were a little pricey. My husband had 1 drink and I got water with lemon. Our bill was 82.00 for dinner.
My first time at this location and it did not disappoint. Had the crab pizza appetizer as my meal and it was very flavorful and so filling that I didnt have room to try dessert. Ill know better next time to take half home!
Our first visit, during bike week to this Establishment. First the food was epic.Seafood galore.Extra fresh. But more than that we had a server named LAUREN,who said shes bin working here for 4 days!!!! Outstanding attention..to me and my friend. She made our dinner.Perfect.!!!!Cold beers flowing, everything on point.Much appreciated!!!We eat out all over ..this was the best.
Im a local and went for happy hour they charged 10.50 for a glass of wine and 10.50 for a shot! I called to question the bill and the manager said what ever and hang up on me. I just want everyone to know we supported this business during covid with my daughters wedding rehearsal dinner and this is how we were treated
Karen was the absolute best! Absolute BEST! Really great food. I had had the lobster soup and wings and mmmmm
Had the oysters were absolutely delicious. Tuna dinner was good, wait time was a little longer then I would like but still enjoyed our meal.
its a good place excellent service the food delicious
Nice friendly staff. Food was great. tight on the inside small tables. Would definitely recommend.
We went for HH. I ordered chicken fingers because the guys order next to me looked really good. My order was half the size of his and were barely warm. So disappointed!!I find this restaurant is not consistent, sometimes good sometimes not so much.
We sat at the bar for happy hour. The barmaid was excellent! Food is consistently good 👍
Gluten free menu and options. They make a great effort to accommodate for gluten.
Great set up and location ! The soups were amazing. The waitress did a fabulous job! Unfortunately the lack of flavor and quality in the steak knocked this down to a 3 star. Over cooked shrimp didnt help. The sides were tasty
Great service and good food. A bit noisy though.
Priscilla the bartender was AMAZING. The guy that was shucking the oysters was very friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant and the food was delicious. Priscilla made everything amazing. Thank you
Fantastic food! The jalapeno lobster bisque is a must. The whole lobster was delicious and not overcooked. The Neva potatoes were incredible as well. Highly recommend and we will be back
Not my favorite. Maybe it was a bad night? My fish wasn’t that great.Kids ordered pasta with marinara sauce and got a tiny cup of sauce. Had to ask for another and really needed a third. The one redeeming quality was the peanut butter pie. Very good.
Very good dining experience. Highly recommend the char grilled shrimp
Food not.as good.as.tje old pre Covid Days. Food came out cold, fries and Cod soaking in fried oil. Will try new restaurants for the future.
Great service and fabulous food. We eat here every year when we go on vacation. The drinks are perfect! Highly recommend the caramelized Scottish salmon. A little noisy but it was still a great meal.
Got there just after 6:00 pm, waited until 7:00 to be seated, and didn’t get our food until 8:20. My swordfish and asparagus was overcooked and my son’s chicken fingers were not very good. His ice cream was old and had chunks of hardened ice cream in it. The waiter asked if everything tasted great and I said no, but he just walked away. They were busy, but that’s not a reason to serve subpar food and be unprofessional. This was probably our last time eating at this restaurant.
We stopped in for some appetizers. We had the following:Wedge salad...goodCrispy calamari....just okay. Didnt love the sauces.Cod bites...goodChesapeake fries with crab...where was the crab??? A lot of fries but very little crab.Waitress (Katiewas very attentive. We would probably not return as there are other places to go.
Our server was delightful, and kept our family of three generations happy. The seafood meals were excellently prepared, and steaks were skillfully grilled.
Had a wonderful Fathers day dinner. Service was quick, food was excellent.
Raw bar is great for oysters. Our spot for seafood when nearby.
We were there for happy hour. We ordered raw oysters and steamed clams. The oysters were not cleaned properly and had a lot of grit and dirt and the clams had no taste. We did tell our server and she did take it off our bill. I would prefer that the food was better so that we can continue to patronize big fish grill as we do really like the place.
The food is always amazing when we come here. Caramelized Salmon is my favorite and we tried the seafood ravioli - delicious! Our server Alex was excellent and Alison the bartender served up some delicious crushes. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants at the beach!
We sat in the bar area and received amazing service from Vern. We enjoyed a complete dinner in the bar area and enjoyed the service Vern provided. We look forward to visits during our future vacation travels. If you are searching for delightful dining with excellent service...don’t miss visiting Big Fish Ocean View. BTW, Vern is currently serving the bar dining area from Thursdays through Saturdays. Cheers!
Husbands dinner choice was ok, according to him. I was not impressed with my grilled fish, it was very bland, overcooked, and served very plainly on the plate. Veggies were overcooked too. This is our second time dining here with the same result. With so many other seafood places in the area I think I will pass on coming back for yet another try.
This place has a cool, friendly vibe. Cod bites were delicious.
Beautiful , Large restaurant, great bar area, some outdoor seating, Great Seafood but other Menu options available as well. Kinda a "remote" location off the beaten path. But definitely worth finding. Our Server Allie is a Superstar, pleasant and entertaining to say the least. 5⭐️ & 2👍👍!!!
Great food! Weve been to the Rehoboth Big Fish many times but this was the first time visiting the Ocean View location, everything here was equally delicious. They have plenty of large tables and space if youre visiting with a group, and the food came out really quick!Everything we tried was delicious - crab dip, quesadillas, steak, fish & chips, tortellini with shrimp and a crab cake, and the fried scallops and oysters. Lots of good options depending on what youre in the mood for. The portion sizes were larger than expected which was a nice surprise too.
Big Fish Grill was very enjoyable. We sat upstairs at the hight tables near the bar. The bartender and servers were very attentive. The room had a fantastic feeling and was relaxing. We did not want to leave. The happy hour offered adifferent dishes.
Great dinner with Linda and Hannah at our favorite seafood restaurant Big Fish Grill. First time we have visited Ocean View just west of Bethany Beach and were very happy to have found it. Might even visit again during this Columbus Day weekend.
Delicious salads with rare tuna and grilled shrimp. Sat at the bar. Quick service.
I would give this place three stars at best. The portion sizes were not very big for the price. I also felt the food was only adequate. For what it’s worth my wife loved her fish tacos, but the fish and chips came out with soggy stale fries that were cold and the coleslaw was very flavorless. The fish did seem fresh at least. Our portion size for the appetizer crab dip we got was also very small and was served with cold sliced bread making it unappetizing. The crab stuffed lobster only had four small pieces of edible lobster inside making it also an overpriced dud. Given the large variety of places to eat at the beach with amazing food, I struggle to understand why this place is so popular. Overall, it has nice decor, the people were ok, and the food was mediocre. If the wait is long, I would try somewhere else.
My family and I just left and were very disappointed with our experience. I ordered raw oysters which came out fairly prompt and were good. Our dinners did not come out until approximately 45 minutes after the oysters totaling an hour after we originally ordered our food. When our meals finally did come out, my tuna, which was supposed to be medium rare, was well done and missing a portion of the meal, and my husband’s salmon was underdone. The waitress did offer to get me another piece of tuna, but I did not want to risk waiting another hour to get it. Our waitress was very sweet and did the best she could given the circumstances.Considering the quality of the food, I believe that it was overpriced. My 3-inch piece of overcooked tuna was $31.95.
Great atmosphere & great drinks! The food is consistently good.
Im not sure where to start. Our table was going to take awhile so we ordered Jerk Chicken Satay for a quick appetizer at the bar. It came out with no seasoning on it at all. When I asked why there was nothing on the it, the bartender said there was a "mix up" in the kitchen. It came back out after being remade with so much spice on it I couldnt eat it. Guess the kitchen wanted to make a point (at least I hope they were trying to make a point and this is not how it is actually served --it was completely inedible). The restaurant was as hot as can be, the AC must not have been working. When we asked our server why it was so hot she said "you should feel the kitchen" . We never did find out if the AC was broken or what was going on. I then ordered the tuna for dinner...the entire dinner was bland at best the sides were soggy. There are too many other fantastic restaurants in the area to wait over an hour for this one. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Joined our great friends to celebrate a "70" th Birthday. Food great lovely atmosphere. We had the whole top floor to ourselves. Very memorable night.
Came in for a drink, bar is closed. Sat at table. Ordered a Bourbon Peach Crush. Worse drink, EVER !!! No peach flavor. TY for ur reply, I will not be returning. I havent heard anything positive about this restaurant. As a local, who eats out frequently, there are too many other restaurants with great reviews to try
Great night with friends. The decor is farm house chic meets nautical wharf. The restaurant starts you out with a tasty white fish salad and crackers to share. The rum mixed drinks were colorful and well mixed. All the dinners were spot on and your plate good. The prices are decent and the portions are good. This is a great place to share with a group of friends.
We had a fantastic dinner experience. Excellent staff, good food, and a nice beachy atmosphere. A lot of us got the daily catches and they were great I would definitely recommend looking at that.
I saw that they had a nice happy hour at the bar so I stopped by and grabbed fried oysters, mussels in coconut curry sauce and a sangria. I wanted to order some dinner to but waited just long enough for the bartender to stop chatting that I realized I didn’t need more food.
Delicious food and nice sized portions. Menu is heavily seafood but there are also steaks, pork, and chicken dishes. Nice price range. There is a wait sometimes so be prepared, especially larger parties. Lots of raw bar choices and numerous oyster choices. Wait staff and management are attentive. One of our go to restaurants all year long. Plenty of parking and a loyalty program.
Nice atmosphere, has that beach feel. $2 beer for happy hour, but could not understand how $7 for 1/4 lb of peel and eat shrimp is a deal - that’s $28 lb.
Loved the Friday buck a shuck oysters and we lucked out cause it was Friday! $2 Fat Tire and we enjoyed the broccoli cauliflower salad. The Ciopinno was good but need some additional spices to come up to great. This is a large efficient team restaurant with friendly knowledgeable staff and consistently good food.
Same great service food and all else you would expect from Big Fish. Easier to get in 5han the one in Rehoboth Beach. Huge bar and a raw bar as well. The lobster crab Mac and cheese is awesome. Decent wine selection as well as a full service bar. Banquet room is available as well. Plenty of time.t.v.s to watch sports and news. Menu is a nice change with several different items than RB location. No sushi but no problem. 3 lb lobster is available this week.
The salmon was to die for and the oysters were fantastic. A great dining experience. The only downside was the overall noise level.
This place speaks the truth. Best seafood in Delaware. Fresh seafood, great service, friendly environment, and overall awesome. Recommended dish, oysters. Strongly recommend this place.
Hands down best place in the area. Been here the past three nights in a row(if that tells you anything)!!! Great addition, amazing food and love the vibe! Staff has been top notch!
