Big Lots in Coles County

I havent been in Big lots for a long time. I was very surprised how they really cleaned the store up! Great job!

Some cool stuff, reasonable deals and prices, customer service all around leaves much to be desired, while store is in disarray. Even the tidy looking aisles have products in the wrong spots, poorly placed price tags and identifiers for products on all shelves.

It wasnt how I remembered it being.They used to carry a lot of things I use now I was just disappointed.

I enjoy shopping here. Always clean and employees always helpful when need help finding something. I always walk out spending more than I should

I enjoy shopping here, they especially have a huge selection of nice furniture at an affordable rate. They have a little bit of everything. The employee that helped me was polite and very helpful in finding what i was looking for.

Bought my sofa from big lots. Very happy with it. Going to buy a washer and dryer now.

Too pricey You can go on Amazon and get DOUBLE the amount that you end up with at BIG lots

Bought furniture from here several years ago and it all fell apart within a year.Recently bought a recliner on the fly and the ladies were very helpful. One did look like a Karen but looks can be deceiving.If you can afford more extensive and quality furniture go elsewhere. BTW, the recliner is doing fine and we like it...for now.

This store had a little of everything. Just a simple store. No frozen food but everything else lol

I usually like the holiday decor here! I always love the stuff they have. However, lately their inventory is so low. I’m hoping it is because of the supply problem and not permanent.

Big lots as a whole is a great franchise usually great value with whatever you buy but as of lately Im giving it three stars they lack in service most places have one checkout line available when you go to check out and rarely can answer questions accurately

Good place to shop. If you need furniture though and they dont have it email the corporate office.

Why are all the products doubled in price? No use to go there . You do not safe . I guess we all go to Marshalls.

Not sure what I should expect but I do expect a store to be clean and this was not the case here. The restroom was filthy and showing its age, needs a complete remodel. Only one checker and she was in deep conversation with a customer while the line was getting deeper.

I like Big Lots. Prices are nice. Its within walking distance from my apt. And theyll double bag for me.

Mixed collection of homegoods and household staples at a fair price. employees are very cordial. Always find something interesting.

I went early and there werent many people in the store. The store was very nicely arranged and very tidy. I was looking for something specific and found it quickly. I look forward to going back sometime to browse. The service attendant at the checkout was very friendly.

Love this store too. Prices are low on most items. Most the time they have a buy one get so much off. They have a membership cards like country market tht monitors your shopping but with theirs they actually take money off. Oh and my Aunt Vicki works there so tht makes it tht much more enjoyable😍😍 Oh and they have Organic product too.

I really enjoy shopping their unique items, such as home decor; however, I thought the prices were higher than in the past visits. For instance, I normally purchase "The Works" tub cleaner & it was $1 and its now like $1.29. The store is now organized and has more products. I like that they accept the SNAP food card. They have a big selection of gluten free and specialty items, such as protein bars.

The store is a big box store and what makes those great are the employees. I was greeted kindly by every employee I encountered. The man, Terry, in furniture, was even kind enough to inform me they are having delays with furniture orders because of Covid and he was really knowledgeable about the items hes helping to sell.The store itself has cute and trendy home decor and some nice stuff can be found on clearance.

Very nice clean and well stocked. The employees are so nice and helpful. One thing that their missing is a motorized handicap cart. They do have a push wheelchair cart if your able to use one.

I received Excellent Service. Laura (the young ladywhom waited on me. She was very knowledgeable about furniture. I ended up purchasing a sofa, recliner, coffee & end tables. I was very well pleased that I was not treated like an old lady (76(which I am), that did not know what I wanted. Very responsible! I will return!

Very good. Lots on clearance. Staff very helpful and cashier was immediately accessable, very pleasant and helpful. She caught a difference in a set I was buying and asked if I wanted to purchase the extra piece and very nice when I told her no.

Great deals and good customer service! Didn’t catch the young man’s name, but he helped my husband and I pick out a futon and then helped us load it in our van which ended up being a much bigger task than we anticipated. He was great!

Great experience! I spoke to Anna at the Mattoon store, she was so helpful & curtious, the service was above & beyond but me being the thrifty shopper had to go across the street to the competition(furniture storeto check their prices, what a waste of time there, I was there almost an hour, walked out angry at the sales person & went back to Big Lots, Jeremy in the furniture department took care of everything & I bought my chiropractor from there. Anna helped out tremendously & Jeremy couldnt have been any nicer & curtious.

This store is amazing for picking up cheap junk food. Their Christmas selection is pretty good. I bought a bed for my daughter from big lots pretty comfy. They are very friendly.

Over the years Big Lots has came a long way. They now have Quality Furniture at decent prices and are competitive. We bought a $800 mattress for $450. Cant beat it.

Big lots has a little bit of everything. Ive never had any problems here and the employees are always nice. If you need to sit down you can find a place sit in their furniture area and they dont usually say anything except can I help you.

Went to shop March 19th 2018 around 1:30pm was Followed around by one worker Every corner I turned there she was Bluntly watching me- made me feel very uncomfortable ... I have shop at this store for years never had a problem, they need to Train their new workers not to harass customers.. Not everyone is dressed to perfection so dont assume They are Shoplifters..

The staff is usually very friendly, I went in for the friends and family event and the two gentlemen in the back were having some technical difficulties making my reward information pull up. They were both very helpful and easy to talk too. In the end of having to deal with me for longer than I think they wanted everything was taken care off and I walked away with the products I came in to buy and then some. Thank you to the gentleman working back in the furniture section around 4:30 on 1/20/18. Killing it!!

First time at this Big Lots...had a list of items I usually pick up at Walmart but found pretty much everything I needed here, no need for a trip to Walmart. This place seems to sell decent quality furniture too. Plan on coming back to shop for Christmas this year.

The staff are friendly and very helpful. The furniture prices are decent for the quality. Everything weve ever purchased has held up pretty well. (We do not have children or pets...so that could be a factor.)

20% off already low prices. Cashier courteous. Others in store helped me to locate items unable to find. I wish our town had a Big Lots!

This is a typical Big Lots. The selection has been narrowing down over the years. They do offer furniture for cheap. The staff is usually pretty friendly, and they often are running sales.

Really good store furniture is nice and Priced Right. The customer service is usually pretty good. And I cant ever seem to get out of there without buying something. The store itself could probably use a remodel.
