Second time having the blackened chicken Alfredo. Unbelievably delicious. Worth forgetting about any calorie counting. Just delicious. Atmosphere is clean and friendly, staff is very friendly of course.

Good food, great servers, indoor and outdoor Seating, pet friendly. Wenr there several times during my trip to Providence

I come here all the time. Open really late. The bartender is so nice and always remembers us. There isn’t really anywhere else to go so late at night that you can like dine in. It’s a lot of simple food like apps and sandwiches which we always get but they seem to have a lot of full dinner options like chicken dinners and steaks and stuff. Their cocktails are all very sweet in a good way. Seems clean, the temperature is usually nice inside and they have more than one restroom.

We were seated by a hostess and waited for 15 minutes without anyone even acknowledging us. Just got up and walked out. 5pm on a Sunday night, hardly busy at all. I guess our business wasnt needed enough to even care we were there.

We ordered a full rack of ribs to share among 2 of us. A full rack of ribs consisted of 6 ribs total. 6 ribs for $27. They were ok, but not worth about $4 50 for each rib. After our waiter was let go since it was a slow night (he was attentive), no one came to serve us. We left without ordering more drinks. My advice: find a better place.Edit: Believe it or not sometimes people visit from out of town. Your response deserves a 1 out of 5 as well. Why dont you offer a cash refund or offer a meal voucher for your server? However, the lack of attention to your customers is something I would address immediately. We didnt have the opportunity to even address this price issue once our server was let go early.

A 5 minute walk from the convention center it became our fav go to place for lunch. Busy as it was the service and food were good. Try the bowl of stew it hits the spot

Was there Friday evening with a friend. This place was a joke. The waitress (i think her name was Jerri/Gerri )and could not have been ruder. Was to self absorbed with what ever her problem was to care about us. Not a fun evening at all went foe dinner and drinks ended up just one drink each and left.will definitely not be back

Only 2 waitstaff. No manager. No Shepherds Pie! No Irish music. Food arrived cold. Waste of time and money.

Went to Blakes the Saturday of Pride and even though there was a wedding party in the back room, I was able to get a table in the main room, which wasnt very busy . The food was good but the service was terrible. Aside from waiting for 10 minutes for a table, it took another 15 for the waitress to come back just to get me a menu and drink order. Once I was done, the dishes were cleared and I asked for my check. It never came and I had an event to work at Pride so I dropped $$ and left. I asked the wait staff 3 times for my check and they never brought it but they sure were speedy with the other tables next to me.

Been coming here for 20+ years, thank you for being an anchor downtown and opening your doors to all! Busy night tonight but you didn’t turn anyone away!

I went there for lunch with 3 other people. Im vegetarian so i got a salad and the veggies of the day. Both good. The others ordered burgers and they all seemed happy and satisfied. The service was really good, everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

Great window seat. Fun wait staff. Loved the house red ale. My wife raved over her sweet potatoes fries. Lots of choices and reasonable prices.

My wife placed an order over the phone and the person taking the order wasnt very friendly. She then went into the establishment to retrieve said order only to be stared at by the two waitresses present as though they were starstruck. They didnt even engage in conversation. Not welcoming at all.

After a long work day, it all started with welcoming friendly attentive service from Juan, multitasking at his very best. Ordered the beer battered fish and chips with a side cup of chowder...all mouthwatering melt in my mouth delicious. A relaxed vibe as enjoyed my meal, topped off a perfect comfort food dining experience. I recommend this tavern to all and will definitely be back. Thank you Juan!!!

Came to Blake’s tavern for the first time, immediately did not feel welcomed the waitress greeted us with attitude after we asked for seating outside after we sat down my family and i said thank you she did not say anything , when the waiter returned we were spoken to with continued attitude it felt as if our presence was an annoyance waiter seemed unhappy overall first experience wasn’t a good one

Went here for a quick lunch date with my husband. The server was attentive and the food came out quickly. Wings were delicious and the nachos were definitely loaded. Good selection of beer and the Paloma was the perfect start to warmer weather.

Terrific service and food for the money. They have an excellent selection of draught beers and speciality seasonal cocktails. I thought the Buffalo Wings and the Clam Chowder were truly excellent. If you are looking for a great experience for a modest amount of money, I definitely recommend you check this place out.

Awesome, I’ll be going again for sure. The staff was extremely helpful in making sure I received my takeout order and even assisted me when asking where to pay. The food itself is awesome, made for my liking. The only part was that I ordered steak tips and they must’ve heard just steak so that’s not a problem, still good.

It was a very cold day in Providence. I walked into this place. It was nice and cozy. I ordered Tanqueray & tonic and Guinness soup. The soup was really good. And I had a nice conversation with Kim the bartender. Very friendly lady.

Clam chowder was thick and creamy. Tried stuffies for the first time so dont have anything to compare with but they were ok. Potato skins were overcooked and bland. Great drink menu with lots on tap.

One of the few places open late at night where we could grab dinner. Both their drink and chicken fingers were pretty good.

Menu selection is great. Food delicious!! Prices very reasonable. For 4 of us with 5 drinks and 4 burgers $100.00. The service wasnt the best. Food took over 45 minutes to come out and took over 30 minutes to get the water I repeatedly asked for. The waitress was pleasant and the establishment was clean. I do recommend this place despite the service.

Stopped here the other day for first time. Atmosphere was good, food was great and Erin our server was very good . I went with my 10 year old daughter and she treated her like she had known is for ever. Made our night and dinner very pleasurable

We stopped here for lunch today and had such a good time. He had steak and cheese sandwich with carmalized onions with sweet potato fries. I had the caprese salad and seasoned fries. The service was great. The food was fast and delicious.

It was wicked awesome. Service was great, fast, enjoyed watching the Soxs play. Great beers, atmosphere, and very well priced menu! Well within walking g distance from any of the hotels. Recommend this place to anyone visiting the local area!

Real pleasant people are working here. They served food till midnight even on weekdays. Great place to stop by if you arrive in PVD late at night.

One of my worst dinners out yet. There was a bit of a wait on my food. I was told about 6 times that they were coming right out. When both bartenders never walked back to check on them ( a blonde women and an older brown haired women). I order a Long Island which wasn’t even close to one. When I had mentioned I didn’t like it and would rather not pay for it. Since I didn’t drink the product. Which had jarritos in it ( not your typical Long Island ingredient). I was told that if knew what a Long Island was I would like it. ( long islands are usually my drink of choice. The brown hair lady is the one that gave me that responseI’m actually appalled that I got that response. My burger was made well done though I asked for medium rare. Most likely because it sat under the hot plate for about 45 to and hour.This was my first time in this establishment. I’m hoping that if I do choose to try it again. I’ll get a better experience.

First time here. Cheerful place friendly and attentive staff. Zack was our waiter. Wonderful service had my first ever Manhattan. Wow! And the Irish stew was homemade and tasted better than my own. Lots of tvs to keep an eye on the games. Good spot. Cant wait to go back again.

I was thankful Blake’s Tavern was open until 1 AM so I could get a late night snack before going home. They let you choose where you sit when you walk in to this historic pub. Unfortunately, the bartender hardly paid attention to the service during the hour I was there. The bartender was on his phone in front of me, and I get it, the night was approaching midnight and closing time. He did make a good Mathewson Street Cosmopolitan.The food was great with abundant portions! I ordered an appetizer of Blake’s nachos and a Caesar salad with blackened chicken, which was made splendid by their in-house dressing and croutons. You really can taste a difference! I told my peers about the salad and the drink I had — I’ll be coming back for them.

The bartender was not welcoming at first; Maybe because we arrived exactly at 11, opening time. Other than that, the food was incredible. The waiter explained price differentials to better assist us in decision making. The place is nice and clean. Kind of busy during lunch time, with that being said the waiter/bartender handled the rush quite well. I will recommend to friends/family.

Walked into the empty bar around 5pm, we werent greeted with a hello but instead we were told "we dont have a table for 3". I laughed because I thought it was a joke! However he wasnt kidding, he then proceeded to seat us at the farthest outside table it was in front of another business it looked. After that awkward beginning we then waited 20 minutes and not one person came over to even take our drink order. But the other tables were being helped often. I was trying to be patient as I understand every business is suffering with staffing issues. We waited 10 more minutes without ANY acknowledgement from a staff member. So after patiently waiting 30 minutes we just decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. It was clear we were not welcomed or wanted at this establishment. Very poor customer service in an unwelcoming environment.

Watch out for the surprise menu price changes, not kidding. Ordered the beef skewers, menu has the price listed as $16.00, the check comes and it’s $21.00. I asked the wait staff who took our orders, his reply... the meat prices change some times and they don’t update the menus and shrugged it off. What the actual heck is that all about. This is after trying to order dinner, the place was dead, so it’s not that they were busy- we ordered a Caprese Salad with grilled chicken and Beef Skewers and Sweet Potato Fries Appetizers. Five minutes after order our dinner, our waiter is back asking what did you order??? With the menu in hand. Okay, fine confirm our order, and five minutes later he’s back asking what side did I want. Fine, whatever everyone has a bad day. The basket of Sweet Potato Fries, yeah that’s a plate with a small portion of fries prices at $6.50+. The beef skewers were okay, I ordered the sweet potato fries as the side, they were pretty good. The Caprese Salad with grilled chicken, my wife couldn’t eat due to the huge amount of capers on it, we switched meals, I love capers and there was a lot of them, the fresh mozzarella and greens were good, the ‘dressing’ was a thick, syrupy balsamic, the chicken was god awful! Inedible garbage. Rubber, tough, chewy strips of what appeared to be precooked ‘fake’ chicken strips they must have microwaved to death. Just so very disappointing. I would not recommend going here for real food. Pub grub, fried wings and beers, maybe. Nah, that’s a hard no, I wouldn’t want to get another up charge.

Ordered a crown on the rocks with a coke back and they charged me for both the drink and the coke back. ???

Food was really good! Kudos to Blake’s for staying open late—was one of the only restaurants in the area open after 10pm. Did take about 30 min to get our takeout food, but when we did get it, it was delicious! Really enjoyed the hummus and grilled chicken wrap

Nice Place... Food was above avg for a Tavern - drinks were good and service was - meh...Seemed like a very mixed crowd welcoming to straights and lgbt - plexi around the entire bar and spaced seating arrangements - good music too...

This a charming Irish pub tucked into the DownCity section of Providence RI. I had looked at the menu ahead of time and was curious about their Irish nachos and Guinness stew. So there was no way I was going to be able to eat all that so I brought leftovers home. The nachos were huge!! and were amazing!!! Going to try making these at home!

The waitress was very nice. We were lost and freezing and they made us a quick appetizer before our play.

We were there to watch a show @ providence performance center on a Saturday night, and were trying to grab a quick bite before the show. This was what we could find that still has table available, and it’s just a short walking distance from the theater.Place doesn’t look very busy when we got there (around 6:30pm), and we were told to help ourselves to any open table(quite a few of them!once we were in the restaurant section.The service is just alright, but the food is super fresh!We tried the fried calamari for appetizer and it was very tender, juicy, and crispy! Highly recommended if you are a big calamari fan!Then we each have a steak for dinner. I had my streak made teriyaki style, it was prepared along with some nice caramelized onion, good flavor, and not too salty. You can also ask a salad with your meal for $3 more, and we did! What a great decision, the salad is very refreshing and since I had my dressing on the side, I can say for sure the salad is really fresh!Bottom line , would consider going back again, for food, if in the neighborhood.... ; but would be hesitated, if recommend it to people who has more consideration on services of an establishment.

In town for a conference and wanted to hit up a local bar. The food looked good but I was stuffed still with conference grazing. They have a couple local beers on tap, the reason that I stopped. The staff were very friendly and regulars were perched at the bar.
