Bok Bok, Korean Fried Chicken in Utah County

Edit: (05/26/2021)it feels like the amount of food that is served has decreased. Quality is great though.(10/2019)This place has amazing food. I burned my tongue because I couldnt wait. I ordered the large candy garlic wings with fries and slaw. Super crunchy and fresh out of the fryer (made fresh after we ordered so there was a small wait for that). The sauce was very addictive and the fries were flavorful and crunchy. Had to have my husband help me with the food since there was so much. Didnt care for the slaw but I dont tend to like sesame flavor. Ill try the rice next time. They also included gloves which was a nice touch cause I hate sticky fingers. Super friendly staff too.

They have good food especially their chicken sandwich which is one of the best Ive had. They just never have chicken sandwiches in stock. Something should change because they are definitely missing out on a lot of business by never having them. The last 7 times Ive called or gone in, they dont have chicken sandwiches, and Im sure Im definitely not the only one getting food somewhere else because of it. The other day an employee said they would have 10 of them the next day. That doesnt make sense to me unless there is something super special about the chicken they use and they cant get very much of it but it would be nice to know why they have so little of it. Especially considering the first 4 times I walked in there they had them in stock. If they could keep it in stock theyd be making a lot of money off of them Im sure.

Went in today and got the boneless chicken wings with fries. I was impressed not only by the fair price but the quality was amazing. Those fries were so fresh and yummy! I ate almost all of them on my way home! Sooo good! The wings were also very yummy and the sauce is so good! Spicy and a little sweet! Highly recommend!

I got the chicken with house sauce, french fries, and a side. French fries were SO crispy and perfectly seasoned. The chicken has just the right amount of kick to it. Very pleased with the food

I just happened to see someone post about this place, and Im so glad I did! The boneless wings were so tasty and the fries were fresh and crispy. The service was great and the food was made quick. I cant wait to come back and try all the different flavors!

Maybe a 3 plus. Good Korean chicken fast food but dont expect anything to happen quickly. We stopped by once at opening time to try out the food and they said itd be a long wait (for fast food chicken). We left and tried a couple months later. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the food took a long time. The chicken was good but nothing really happened either time to make us try again.

Good grub. I got the 10 piece sweet garlic chicken with fries and slaw. The chicken is delicious - sometimes fried chicken can have heavy handed dredge that turns soggy - this was crisp, flaky and just the right amount of crunch. The sweet garlic sauce was a killer blend of flavors with the nice touch of green onion sprinkled on top (please note if you order garlic chicken you will ward off vampires and friends alike for days). The slaw was the perfect mate for my sweet garlic chicken- a nice bite of tart vinegar and earthy cabbage. And surprisingly, some of the best fries I’ve had! Not sure if double fried or dredged but insanely effective method for fries that were golden crisp. I will be back to try the bok bok tots and the sandwich!

A lot of people recommended this place to me, but I have to be honest, it was slightly above average.First, I did go to get boneless, but they had run out by 11:45a. I am not sure how that happens, but I may go back to try those. So I ordered the bone-in wings, candied garlic sauce, and fries. Visually they looked great! Bright, good amount of sauce, lots of garlic chunks. So I expected big flavor, but honestly, the flavor was pretty mild. Mild in the fact that there was not much flavor. Ill be going back to give it another try though.

BEST WINGS IVE EVER EATEN!!! So crispy (my favorite), delicious sauce (very generous, doesnt skimpand chicken is so tender. Seriously, best ever! Fries are amazing! Customer service very friendly and fast. This will be my forever wing restaurant!

The girls in the family absolutely loved everything we got, but the boys didn’t so much like it. If they want to give a different rating they can. It tasted absolutely great! I loved all the sides, the batter on the chicken tasted great, and the candy garlic sauce was delicious.Can’t wait to try the House sauces and the cheese blend next time we go.

I absolutely love their house sauce, its one of a kind! The owners are kind people and the customer service is great! Weve had them cater on numerous occasions and they always show up on time. The food is warm and just as good catered as it is in the restaurant.

My husband and I tried their traditional sauce and garlic. The later wasn’t our favorite, but the originals was good. We’d go back to the the other two sauces but its not our cup of tea.

Tasty chicken! Tried for the first time today and will definitely be going back again and again. The wings were perfectly glazed and crispy. Their fries are amazing too. The portions are very generous and left me stuffed!

Mmmm so good! We had a craving and I drove to get this in rush hour. So you know that has to mean something! Original house sauce on boneless wings with the most amazing fries. They are greasy fries but the flavor is 🔥🔥 :)Worth the fight of rush hour traffic any day.Also the most friendly staff and quick service.

My wife and I got the wings with house sauce and with the honey garlic. We also got fries and a side of pot stickers. The house sauce here is really good. It says it is spicy but I considered it more sweet with a little kick on the magnitude of pepper jack cheese. The wings were crispy and had a good amount of chicken to sauce ratio. The fries were also really good. They were perfectly done beer battered shoe string fries. The potstickers were also really good. I probably would have considered leaving a 5 star review but the garlic honey wings were disgusting. The flavor was way too potent of garlic and the wings were almost soggy there was so much sauce. I normally really like honey garlic sauces bit this one was just gross.

I love the candy garlic fried wings here in small doses. Its delicious most of the time but sometimes, it is just ABSOLUTELY drenched in sauce and is just a bit overwhelming. The wings still somehow retain a good crunch though! The fries are good too!

The food was pretty good, not the absolute best out there, but good enough that I would go back. I got their spicy house sauce with fries and rice, my wife got the sweet garlic. The sweet garlic sauce was weirdly thick, like as if it had gelatin or agar agar in it, and was too cool when added to the chicken, making for a weird temperature combination, but the flavor was good, the spicy house had good flavor was wasnt really spicy. The location seems like its best as a lunch spot for workers, there are no tables, just bar seating along the walls. We brought a toddler, which wasnt ideal for this seating arrangement. But the staff was accommodating and helpful. Overall a pretty good spot worth checking out.

I love this place! The chicken is crispy and delicious! The house sauce and the snow chicken are my favorite. The fries are have the right amount of crunch and the Asian slaw helps add a nice savory taste to the sweetness of the sauces. The staff are super friendly. If you haven’t gone. GO NOW!!!

The first time i tried this my cousin brought me to your American Fork location and it was a hit! Im not a fried chicken/wing person but man these can definitely change your mind. We recently went to check out the new location in Provo and like always a hit! My favorite is the boneless Garlic Candy! I always ask for extra of the sauce to dip my fries in it! Way too good!

Really good chicken and rice, they did a delivery to my work, the garlic chicken is really spicy but good. Kind of crunchy chicken, so idk if if Im into that or not. Interesting experience and will definitely be back.

Having had Korean fried chicken, I had high hopes. The sauces were great-nice selection. The boneless chicken was overcooked and dry. Fries were battered and very standard. Slaw was fresh and delicious. The seating was at most an afterthought. Good concept and cool food niche but needs some more work.

I wish I could do 2 and a half stars. The chicken and fries were really crispy and delicious. The Asian slaw was standard. The atmosphere was really bad. They were out of half of their menu items on a Saturday night at 6. We had to grab our own cups for drinks. All of the guys working there were clearly high. Overall my experience was poor.

We didnt know this place was here. So glad we stopped. The boneless chicken with house sauce was amazing.

Love this place. We always get the house sauce which is a good amount of spicy for our taste (it is spicy). House spicy is too spicy for us. Candy garlic was way too sweet. You get your food in about 5 or so mins depending on the rush. Staff are nice.

The staff was really friendly and the food was flavorful. The fries were perfectly crisp with really good spices. The chicken was crunchy and a good kind of spicy. I got the house sauce and though it was kind of spicy and I have a high spice tolerance, so if you cant handle spice get the sweet garlic sauce. I would recommend people go and try it.

No fuss crispy fried chicken ..We ordered the combo with slaw and fries. Did a half and half of candied garlic and house spicy sauce.❤️Loved both. The garlics sweet and strong and prob would knock out a sinus infection fast 🤣 the spicy house sauce bit my tongue a little but my husband and son wanted it hotter. And its perfectly situated next to a weight loss place for the guilt afterward.

I left a 5 star review 30 minutes ago and I have to update my review. I hope this review reaches the owner. I ordered two whole chicken: garlic and house. The pieces are just all wrong in sizes and very obviously werent prepared and cooked together. The taste changed as well. I dont know what happened but I want the original quality.

Not sure as to how this place is 4.5 stars... Got the boneless chicken in house sauce and half in candy garlic. The house sauce was edible but the candy garlic was disgusting. As someone who has grown up eating Korean fried chicken, this place is an embarrassment. You cannot compare this to Korean fried chicken, and its worse than buffalo wild wings. The reviews are mostly from people who have no clue what Korean fried chicken is, which is why I think it has some good reviews. But if you know what Korean fried chicken is, then do your self a favor and stay away.

On my first visit I got the Regular Boneless Chicken with House Sauce, with sides of Slaw & Fries. The slaw is a basic vinegar slaw that pairs great with the perfect blend of sweet and spicy flavor of the House sauce. The chicken is double fried so it is very crispy, which I loved. The fries are crispy, not too salty; I dipped them in the sauce of my chicken. Solid portions, even for the regular. Large would’ve been at least two meals for me. Loved it so much I went back the next day and got the same thing, but instead of slaw, I tried the butter rice, which was good but nothing to write home about. Service is quick and friendly — I was in an out within 5 minutes. I’m not from the area but I am from Atlanta where there is a large Korean population....definitely need to see if there is anything that compares back home. I’m officially addicted!

there is no seating. It’s a grab food and go. Their house sauce is amazing and their wings have good crunch. I go here at least like once a week. That’s because my favorite food is wings. The small size comes with 8 wings and two sides. It fills you up and it’s a good price. One of my favorite places to get food from. They are a nice local place to support and I love their food

My partner and I were really excited to go to this place because we both love Korean food and really wanted to try.When we got there the staff was very friendly and explained the menu for us. The one downside we noticed right away was the lack of proper seating. Yes, there are chairs and a bar table, but the table is too high for the chairs. I was eating with the food at my shoulder level.We ordered the boneless large and it was ready in under two minutes, which initially we thought was great. However, the chicken did not taste very fresh. It was ready in less than 2 minutes. There’s no way they fried the chicken fresh to order. It was also on the borderline of dry. My partners portion was drier than mine.As far as the sauce goes, my partner got the garlic candy sauce. It was really sweet. It wasn’t our cup of tea, but it wasn’t bad.I got the spicy house sauce which was *very* spicy. This is coming from someone who regularly enjoys Korean fire ramen noodles, so watch out for that. The flavor of the sauce was alright, but the spiciness was a bit too much.The portions were a good size. I would say the large boneless could feed 2 really hungry people easily or 3 regular hungry people well.I think this place has a lot of potential, but I think they could work on the freshness. I wouldn’t mind waiting a few more minutes for them to fry the chicken fresh for me.Overall, I don’t know if this was just a bad day, but we probably won’t be returning. However, I would say it’s worth a shot to try because lots of people have had a good experience here.

I wanted to find a good chicken wing place and a couple friends told me to check out this place. I ordered their house wings with the side of fries and rice. Theyre pretty generous with the sauce. It was good yet messy but its part of eating saucy wings. You can ask them for gloves to eat them btw. The rice was ok, thought it would be good with the wings but fries are better with it. Downside to this place is that you cant really dine in. Technically, you can eat outside standing up at one of their tables.

Bok Bok chicken is one of the best and only places you can go to get authentic Korean fried chicken, all other places fall by a long shot. They have great customer service and know that their customers dictate if the store does well. I like most of the menu so you can’t go wrong with what you order but beware, it can be somewhat spicy if you aren’t used to it but what’s life without a little spice.

I hope everyone reads this comment before considering visiting their restaurant.I have been enjoying their chicken menus since when they opened the restaurant for the first time. I had their chicken over 20 times. Although I live in North Salt Lake, it was okay for myself to drive 30 mins to get there and have the chicken, because their serving size, quality of the chicken, and taste was satisfying.But now I am deciding not to waste my money and time on their restaurant anymore.At some point, their serving size started keep getting smaller and now it is just ridiculous. When something like this happens, customers can understand up to some point considering the inflation and what not. But they made a huge difference for the serving size in a very short period.Also, they kept changing the chicken they use. It used to be great quality chickens. But now I can see the significant difference in the quality that chickens they use are like 90% bones (almost nothing to eat).Lastly, they treat each customer very differently (they manipulate serving sizes). One day, my friends and I decided to have some chickens from their restaurant. When I got to the place there was an old couple who seemed to be the owners friend.The owner said extra and gave some more extra chicken pieces to the couple. I was okay until that point, because nobody expects the money you paid to be taken for serving somebody else. After few minutes, I received my order and then I drove back to Salt Lake.My friends and I opened the box to enjoy our meal. At that point, we had their chicken over 15 times. And we noticed that something was wrong, because it had a few less pieces. We were able to notice it, because we used to count pieces so that everyonecan have an equal amount.Never go.. . well... JUST RUN AWAY!!! from their restaurant and worthless foods! It is the perfect example of the terrible management and customer care.I am a Korean just like the restaurant owner, so I would usually dont say any bad opinion on K restaurants. But this is over now.

Must try! So yummy! Fast friendly service! Love the simple menu! Ordered the house spicy bone in with fries and a spicy salad. We both said we love spicy... and done! Delicious! Definitely re-coat each wing with the sauce underneath for maximum flavor and spice. Such crispy goodness, will be back to try the boneless.

I was looking forward to this meal because of the high rating it had. I got the boneless wings with the garlic and spicy house sauce, with a side of fries and rice. The sauce itself was decent. It came with a overwhelming amount of sauce, almost more than the chicken itself. The fries were cold, hard, and hallow. The rice is pretty basic. It was a disappointment and a waste of $20. We ended up throwing away all the fires and some of the chicken. 😢

I was excited to try this because I live so close. The portion sizes were great... but became less impressive once I realized how much breading was actually on the chicken. I felt like I got very little actual chicken. However, I loved the flavor of their house sauce. Hopefully I can go back and try their boneless and see if the chicken to breading ratios are better!

Best chicken yo gk for romantic dates, Get the original sauce chicken, so goood!!, and they provide you with gloves to dig in, the cole slaw is amazing! I am so glad they have this, now if they could sell Soju for a full 치맥 experience, that would be awesome 🤩😍💛

Tried for the first time and it is amazing! We got the boneless house chicken, candy garlic and the naked. They were all amazing! Also, portions are huge so you definitely get your monies worth. Highly recommend trying this place out. It is great to see more variety as far as food goes popping up in the area!

I spend a couple years living in South Korea and fell in love with their chicken (배달 치킨). I havent heard of a place that even comes close until Bok Bok Chicken came around. When I entered, the staff was very friendly. They explained their flavors and offered suggestions of popular flavors. Their flavors and the texture reminds me of what my friends and I ate back in Korea. Im so glad the owners came out from LA to open Bok Bok here!

Definitely a different experience of food. First off, Bok Bok shares a space with another food vendor, second theres no dine-in seating, we just used their stand up tables and made the best of it. As far as food goes, the chicken was pretty good, they double fried it so its extra crispy. The house spicy is our favorite, the garlic can get really garlicy. Ask for less salt on the fries though, ours was a little over salted.

I went in with a friend today to try out something new, and I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken is fresh, I ordered the half chicken with the house sauce, although personally it wasnt very spicy (more of a tangyit was very good! I saw that some thought the butter rice was bland and nothing special, however it worked really well to balance out the sauce. I definitely felt like I got a lot more chicken than what I expected and the guy at the register was sweet enough to put in a side of the house spicy sauce. The service and food was great, Ill definitely be returning and recommending this place !

That was amazing! My brother-in-law and I just finished up a half order of the house boneless chicken and boy was I impressed. Not only was the food awesome but the guys working there were friendly and great! The half order says it should come with 9 pieces of chicken but Im pretty sure we got a lot more than that. Couldnt even finish all my food! Definitely a great place to try out if you get the chance. I will say it can get pretty spicy so be prepared for a kick! But they have other non spicy options as well that I am sure are superb. Only downside is there isnt a place to sit but I take my food back to work anyways.

Best Korean fried chicken ever in Utah!! I’ve already been there so many times, and I love it every time I go! Everyone is saying house spicy isn’t really spicy, but personally think it’s pretty spicy! The owner is really nice, and food is served quick! Really good for night snacks!! (I don’t have a picture because I always forget to take a picture before I start eating!!)

WOW! This place is incredible! The chicken is so incredibly crispy and flavorful. I got the boneless in candy garlic sauce with fries and butter rice, my husband got the wings in the spicy house sauce with butter rice and coleslaw. Everything was just amazing. The flavor is so complex and bold. I saw some other review that said it was too garlicy, but that isnt the case at all. Maybe if you hate flavor. The candy garlic had lots of chunks of garlic in it that was delicious, the spicy house had good kick without being overpowering. Some things are so spicy that all you taste is the spicy and nothing else, this wasnt like that. You can taste all the wonderful flavor and still get a good spice kick. Seriously, you need to try this place. Best fried chicken Ive ever had. It seems to be a little family run place, maybe husband and wife, and they were so nice. We will absolutely be back.

I love chicken strips, but they don’t stand a chance to the chicken I just had at Bok Bok this evening. Fresh cut strips of chicken, freshly battered , and the most amazing sauces I’ve ever experienced. Homemade candied garlic sauce made to perfection. This is not fast food...this is amazing food! If I could give this a 10 star rating, I would do it in a heartbeat.

My husband and I LOVE this place! The food is fantastic and the employees are wonderful! The chicken is cooked to perfection, absolutely juicy, but the breading is my favorite. It’s so perfectly crunchy and contrasts well with the tender chicken. Other wing restaurants don’t compare. We got a bowl of boneless and a bowl of wings, each with half house sauce and half candy garlic. Both flavors are delicious. My husband preferred the garlic while I prefer the house. I’m not a huge wing fan, I usually order boneless, but I would eat the wings from here everyday, they’re that delicious. The sides are also awesome. The fries here are some of my favorite, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with a touch of flavor. The butter rice was pretty good as well. Aside from their amazing food, the workers were so kind and funny! Please try this place out!
