Braidwood Motel in Will County

Last minute we had to find a room for my son and his fiance bridal shower. Thankfully they had a room available. I used to live in Braidwood and it used to be pretty rough...its pretty quaint now, very clean and it smelled very nice. I was about 2.5 hours late arriving but they held the room and were very accommodating. They were nice and Im so happy the hotel is finally being taken care of. We would definitely stay again.Oh...the beds were comfortable and the AC was awesome!

I Stayed at the Braidwood Hotel Always packed when I stayed Thier Last Night At the End My Room Had Bedbugs My legs Felt Itchy I checked out And Recap Thier is No Free Breakfast and You people like to here the Trains go by all hours Of The Night I will never Spend another night Thier people sit outside 2 Women they like to stair at people plus they are Loud Talking outside thier Room Not a place for Me

The customer service is very helpful and friendly. I was early for check in and they found a room for me. Breakfast is amazing.

Stayed for a week, decent place for the money. Only complaints were the bed was very stiff and my rooms heater could barely keep it warm.

I had some issues needed a room on short notice. Very clean, comfortable. Amazing find. Staff very friendly.

Braidwood Motel was an excellent place to stay for a few months while i worked in the area with very clean remodeled rooms especially the bathrooms. Beds were like new and very comfortable. Grocery store etc is close as well. I will definitely be back as i was treated excellent by the staff as well. Very nice and safe route 66 location

It was the only room available in town. Wheelchair and it was not handicapped accessible what was difficult getting in the room and getting in the bathroom other than that the room was very clean and nice.

My favorite home away from home.

I pulled over and spent one night at Braidwood Motel during a bad snowstorm when traffic was pretty much at a standstill on I-55. It was just what I expected: simple, affordable, clean room, hot shower, comfy bed, and I was on my way the next day when the roads were clear.

Price is right great host

My daughter and myself had some issues on the road and needed a quick place to stay for a few days and they were very understanding and accommodating. They bared with us as we also had a bit of money issues. Great people great place very clean and cozy. I recommend this motel to anyone and in the future will stay here again if need be! Thank you to the people at the Braidwood motel!

This is my second time staying here for our family reunion. They are very nice and accommodating. The shower is amazing!!! In a great area with many stores, gas stations and restaurants. For the price it’s a bet. Way better than camping!

What a great place to stay when visiting Chicago! The owners were quite friendly and the rooms were quite nice and scrupulously clean! Cable TV and some good food close by (go to Jonee-ezze BBQ). Will be coming back for sure!

My 84 year old aunt tried to get a room there and they said they were full even though the parking lot was empty. She got back in her car and it wouldnt start. They wouldnt let her wait in the lobby she had to sit in her car in freezing weather.

Room has been cleaned everyday & great for the price all 3 times that I’ve stayed here for a month each time! Occasionally a train wisps by, but really not an issue. Owner always accommodating weather I was working night or day shift!

It was close to my event. Very clean. Very friendly. Very inexpensive for what you get. I WILL be staying there anytime Im in the area.

Clean rooms, comfortable pillows and bed. Nothing looked to be in disrepair. The price was very reasonable-$49.95/night. I had some issues with the clerk understanding what I wanted but we worked it out. There are train tracks nearby so if you are a really light sleeper you might have issues. I could barely hear them but I sleep with a fan. To sum things up, this hotel was a clean and comfortable place for the price.

The room smelt of tobacco. It was overpowering. I woke up in the morn and my nose was clogged and patches of blood when I blew my nose.My adult son, who was travelling with me had a nose bleed. Out clothes stunk of tobacco. the only reason that we stayed was that we could not find another motel.

For a small cheap overnight stay this place was fantastic. Rooms are lovely and comfortable. Looks very modern and well kept. Would stay here again if I was in the area.

I first have to say after reading some of the post that people wrote. I apologize for their ignorance but honesty can be crazy. My wife and I found BRAIDWOOD MOTEL to be one of nicest and conveniently located places we had ever stayed at on our move from Chicago to Texas. We showed up around 2300 hours, I woke the manager, he had such a positive demeanor. He was very friendly, courteous and professional. Didn’t try to over charge me knowing we needed to stay there. Once I paid 45 dollars with tax 49.95. My wife and I stayed in room 8, well just say it exceeded our expectations And trust when I say that I’m not that easily impressed. The BraidWood motel is a hidden treasure and the town really has to be one of friendliest places I have been. I see the complaints about trains, really. It just made this place for us all that more charming. We have stayed in places where rude unappreciative people worked and their TVs were louder. I guess their entitled to their opinions. In closing BRAIDWOOD MOTEL is a fantastic find and we will definitely be coming back here again, even if I have to go outta my way to get here.

Bed bugs bite my neck. Attendant refused to give my money back. I had to go to another motel

Had a great stay for one night. The motel had a convenient location, the only downside was a railroad crossing nearby as you could hear the passing trains. The room was clean, well equipped, exactly what we needed. Extra thanks to the motel owner for offering some extra help we eventually didnt even need.

Nicely remodeled rooms excellent value

Quiet, clean older roadside motel, owners are very friendly but not intrusive. Excellent rates. Ive been here almost 3 months because of work. Theyve watched over me and have helped me out. Walking distance to a grocery store, laundromat, restaurants and fast food is not as close as the restaurants,maybe,.3 miles instead of,.1 miles.... Thats point , 1 or 3 miles. Its very convenient.

Clean, the price is good, microwaves, fridges, etc - 32" HDTV. The only downside is the beds are on the hard side - and neighbors can be noisy through the thin walls, trains pass by outside. Mgt doesnt speak great english, but they do understand enough to help you book a room and check in and out.I recommend this place, several places nearby deliver and are decent to eat at...

A must visit, for overnighting Route 66 travelers.As many times as I have been through Braidwood on Route 66, I must admit I have never seen the Braidwood Motel. That is because there are two Route 66s in Braidwood, on either side of the railroad tracks. The older Route is the one that goes through, but this motel is on the newer route, which got cut off when the interstate was built. The owner has never heard of the Illinois Route 66 Association. I took care of that. This old motel is immaculate. For somewheres around fifty bucks you get a king size bed, a fridge, a microwave, and three restaurants in walking distance. How cool is that?Only downside was the wi-fi didnt work too well.

My fiancé, my daughter, and I stayed here.. Its a small place but for $79.90 for 2 nights aint bad.. Its cheap, and clean.. I DO recommend it to people who need a place to stay for a couple nights.. It was my first time and WONT be my last.. I plan on staying again..

With no reservations and showing up around 9:15PM we didnt expect much. We had called around and checked prices and the Braidwood Motel was in the “below $50 and night category. Needless to say we did not expect much. The place is a hidden Jewell!!! The host went out of his way to set us up with the rooms we needed. The rooms are clean and the grounds are well kept. Very clean and manager is very friendly. We booked rooms for 3 days and enjoyed our stay at the Braidwood Motel.Great place

Stay here for joining Route 66. Very clean and good value. Motel seems like new-inside and outside this watch seems very well. No bugs, windows can be open, air conditioning,cooler and microwave. Feel like at home.All must be like this!(But....bad wifi)
