Brown and Baran Family Dentistry in Sussex County

If you only need general dentistry procedures ( checkup, cleaning, cavity filling), this practice may provide you with what you want or need. However, if you need more extensive expertise, they will refer you to an endodontist and you will need yet another evaluation appointment before finally receiving a treatment appointment. This has happened to me twice! When you have a toothache, you would prefer to have it quickly treated. Not an option with Southern Dental.I wish that they would have just referred me to an endodontist to save time from the beginning.The “ we need to evaluate and cannot guarantee treatment at the time of your visit” is just a waste of time and money.

Disgusting. You can not be a family dental office and not be able to handle children. Children being afraid of something that only happens 2 times a year and is with a strange person...ia completely normal. Family dental someone in the office should be able to handle a child that is crying. Also having someone who looks like they are fresh out of college working on kids and complaining because they cant work with screaming children is not good business practice. Multiple customers left the parking lot with me when they heard about this treatment as well. Change your name to only works with silent and elderly people. This place is a joke. And is being reported to every place necessary.

My initial experiences were very good. Recent experience my husband had was very disappointing. A $1,200 Porcelain Crown put in ten days ago falls out? What type of adhesive was used to affix the crown. Yes they’ll put it back in, but the inconvenience of having to take the time and return for another appointment is an inconvenience.

Very pleased with dentist and entire staff! Due to unpleasant experience with local dentist 4 yrs ago I had gone without. A friend recommended southern dental. Reasonable, friendly, clean office. Feel lucky to have gone there.

Today was my first visit with Southern Dental. I am just thrilled with my entire experience. From the time I contacted the office and set up my appointment with the receptionist, my cleaning with the hygienist, to my introduction to Dentist. I’m awful with retaining names so I used titles.Sorry! Thank you !

Excellent experience! Great staff and Dr. Chris Baran was amazing and extremely gentle! I hate the dentist and they made it extremely easy for me! Highly recommend them!! Especially to anyone who has a fear of the dentist!!

Wonderful experience! My husband had a tooth that was very infected and needed pulling. After calling around to several other local offices, they got him in within an hour of my phone call. They treated him great and would highly recommend this dental office.

Absolutely amazing experience! I can not thank Dr. Baran, Kenny, and staff enough for their professionalism, kindness, great atmosphere, and extremely prompt care. While I was there to only fill out new patient forms , they fit me in for my exam. Directly after, Kenny stayed late upon request to do my cleaning. All of the staff there made my visit easy and calmed my nerves every step of the way. They listened to my concerns and answered every one of my (millionquestions. I purchased their “Smile Savers Program” which saved me a good amount of money since I do not have dental insurance. In short, I will recommend Southern Dental in Seaford for all of your dental needs. I will return for mine.

They really dont know the insurance process, at least not mine - made an appointment as a new patient - after telling me they accepted my insurance, at the appointment I was told they dont accept the insurance - my insurance shows them in network, it was a big confusion mostly due to their lack of knowing how to process the insurance claim, long story short I didnt to see a dentist - after figuring it all out, as I was confused, I tried to make another appointment - but couldnt get anything for 4 months -- long story short they arent interested in new patients, just a heads up to anyone considering them for your new dentist and I was actually recommended to them - oh well moving on.

This dentist is totally unprofessional. He lists himself in insurance programs that he does not belong to. Very shady.
