Highly recommend the Spanish Dogs, Bummie Burger and root beer.

I only get to Bummies once or twice a year. I was really Hungry worked all day little to eat, and excited about Getting some food before they close for the season. I pulled up under the awning shut my vehicle off rolled down my window and all 3 waitresses turned around and acknowledged my presence. A short time later to more vehicles pulled up on the opposite side of the parking lot and that’s where two of the waitresses went to, I thought maybe the third one was coming my way but that never happened. I then realized real quickly they were part of a car . show and I guess they deserved service before I did. Needless to say I left unhappily I’m hungry on my long drive home so I’m pretty sure nobody there cares! I gave them a two star rating only because I have been a faithful customer since the mid-80s.

Bummies is always my go to place for burgers and onion rings, best fast food place in town !!

Really neat spot. Drive up service...half expected the servers to be on rollerskates and yes.. they hang the food tray on the window. I had the Bummie Burger.. yummy and the Root Beer Float.. home made root beer.. delicious and my pet had a pup cup. Servers were friendly and service was fast. If ever in Bluffton again its a must.

A special treat for me&my Sis after Dr. Appts. Were teenagers again for an hour😄 Food always what we hope for🌭🍺😋. As 1960s girls drive-ins were in every town& now are few&far between😕 Your carhops always prompt, friendly,smiling,they set the tone for the whole experience🤗 See U next month😚

The tenderloin was way over done. It was inedible. Hot dogs were great!

Not a place for vegan, but carnivores, rejoice! Great food, awesome prices. Experience the time warp while you can. The independent old school drive-ins are rapidly disappearing.

Food was really good. Just wished they a a restroom. My handicapped father had to walk with is oxygen to the station next door to use the facilities. But otherwise all was good and the servers are cuties.

I stop in here every time I am in town. I have loved Bummies for more time than I care to admit!Stop in for the best conies, breaded cheese burgers, wonderful tenderloins & pizza burgers. Great food and service.

First time there and so impressed. Server comes to car with the traditional tray that hooks onto the window. Food was delicious. Menu had a great variety of food. Very affordable too.

Nothing better then bummies!! There rootbeer didnt taste normal so that was sad but everything else ..yum !😍😀😍😀

Great place for a quick bit of very reasonably priced food. Staff are all very friendly. The Bummie burger is very tasty. No complaints. The root beer is the best! Ive tried most of the menu & not a fan of the pizza burger. Open seasonally.

I really enjoyed Bummies , although I live in the area Ive never been there before ,it really took me back to a simpler time , my Spanish dogs were excellent and the root beer was wonderful.

Great old time drive in. I really enjoyed the Bummie burger and the onion rings were better than average too. My daughter enjoyed the corn dog bites. Well be back next time we go through Bluffton.

Today we had the Grilled tenderloin, bummie burger, fries and onion rings. And the rootbeer. The Rootbeer is a fav for sure! Great service, fast and love the old fashion stand vibe!

Bummies has the best chili dogs around! Not to mention everything else on the menu. I drive 45 min to go to bummies 3 or 4 times a month. And thats probably not enough. Great food, great service and a fun drive in!

Mediocre food for an okay price. The Spanish Dog is a knock-off, value brand Coney dog. The Chilli isnt anything to write home about, neither are are French fries that for some reason take 45 minutes to make? The pineapple Has pineapple chunks, sure, but you only get the pineapple flavor when youre halfway done. The need more fryers

Bummies has been a Bluffton staple for many decades. Owned by the same family and passed down through the generations, this place feels like you stepped in to a different time. The Spanish Dogs and Bummie Burgers are amazing but only a true Bluffton native will appreciate this seasonal gem. They only take cash so make sure you hit an ATM. I would also recommend knowing what to order before you even go. This place is usually really busy so once the girls come around to your car, you may not see them again for a minute. I would also avoid opening and closing week as both have been know to have 2-3 hour waits on food. Make sure you visit!

One thing that I forgot to mention is that Bummies does not accept credit or debit cards. They will take cash and personal checks. I have a poor memory, and forgot about the no credit or debit cards until I got there a second time this season and had to find an ATM machine. Fortunately theres an ATM machine in the nearby gas station right next to Bummies, so you can get cash there. I have used personal checks since then. Be sure to write a phone number on the check if its not printed on it. The prices are reasonable when you consider what the fast food places charge for their premium items, and in my opinion, Bummies is much better, its worth the drive. Its seasonal though, and closes in October, so dont wait too long to go there and try the food and the drive in atmosphere.

The Bummi burger is the best. I like it with everything on it! Its messy though so paper towels are good to keep in the car. This place gets busy, but you can get in line and they will gladly take your order for here or to go. Gallons of root beer are available too.

First off its cash only. It was very busy when we were there but the girls kept on top of things. The food was good the rootbeer was fantastic. We took a gallon home with us. We arent from Bluffton but it was worth the drive. The prices are VERY reasonable

Went there today at 1pm. Had the server that puts KM on the check. She never checked back on us about the food and we sat there for 10 mins after eating waiting on her to pick up the tray. She actually picked up the guys beside us who we were there before him. We threw the tray on the ground and pulled off. Being a server myself, i would of loved to have given her a tip but i refuse to when a server drops off the food and never checks back to make sure everything is ok. Needless to say, didnt leave her a tip at all! Stopped and told another server on the way out and she said she was the owners daughter and shes ALWAYS like that! You need to retrain this little girl again. Will return bc food was good but refuse to have her as a server again!

Bummies is a Bluffton staple! They serve up great, classic drive-in food for dirt cheap. There isnt much better than an ice-cold glass of rootbeer on a hot day, except maybe a rootbeer float. Weve had most everything on the menu here and havent gone wrong yet. EVEN with swamp water! Yeah, the name evokes some shivers, but theres something about the combination of root beer plus orange soda thats oddly pleasing....and addicting.Only complaint is that you can sometimes wait a long time to order or have your tray taken away if theyre at all busy. The "start your car" policy works great in theory and when theres few cars waiting on service, but not so well when theres a lot going on. Not much they can do to change that, unfortunately. Oh, and they only take cash. Kinda inconvenient, especially if you dont know that before you pull in.

One of my favorite places to eat. There isnt many drive-ins left, and this one you need to visit. The food is amazing. They make their own rootbeer. Be prepared though they only take cash.

the food was so cheap and it was fantastic. it was under $30 for a family of 4 and our waitress was the nicest woman ever. The breaded cheeseburger was better than a different one I had a bit further up north, and I would definitely recommend to others.

Bummies is a great drive in from years gone by. Food is fantastic and still reasonably priced especially compared to other restaurants in town. Can sometimes be crowded but that is a testament to their food. They also serve a homemade root beer that is really good. Kids love the corn dogs and mini corn dogs. Son loves their onion rings. I usually get the bummie burger with everything and it is delicious.

Been a hometown Icon all my life nearly!! Only drive in with car hops around here. Best grub in town. Made to order. They make their own Root Beer and is is awesome. Everyone loves Bummies. They are open seasonable.. closed yesterday for the season..already counting the days till spring when they open again!! I will miss them all winter..no one does it like Bummies B&K!! Rootbeer floats are still served in mugs!!! Come on spring!!!

Great food and service! The staff is friendly and will do what they can to make your visit fabulous. I love that its the old school drive up, where they put a tray on your window for your food. Brings back good childhood memories!

I drive 35 miles just to go to Bummies! Great food, great service and it never changes. Been going for years. Chili dogs are the best! Bummies burgers are fantastic and it all is great to wash down with a cold mug of root beer. Its like going back in time, sitting under a roof in your car waiting to be waited on. Car window down so they can put the tray there. Just a fun place to eat.

Oh my goodness! The homemade root beer is the bomb as is all of the food I have eaten there. The last time I was able to visit, I had the deluxe doublecheeseburger and it was delicious! They are seasonal and cheap!!
