I love coming here to see THAT THERE IS WATER IN THE TOILET THE NERVE OF THESE COMPANIES THAT CHARGE WATER WHEN WE COULD GET SOME RIGHT OUT OF THE TOILET
Food was amazing. Generous portions.
Stopped in for a quick snack. It was our first time. We were not disappointed! The papusas were delicious! And one of the best tacos weve had. Very flavorful and the tortilla was perfect!
We came back from beach and decided to have a early lunch then go home. We ordered chicken soup and seafood soup, Chicken soup tasted like Chinese homemade soup but with more vegetables and seafood soup like Thailand flavor. They are very good, also the homemade juices worth a try.
Not a tex- mex joint! If you are looking for a fancy dinner- skip this place. If you are looking for a real Salvadorian meal to try- stop in. I found it very charming and quite good. Very simple setting, friendly staff and good meal. Go for it! The tamales were excellent and papusas very good( I like cheese kind better)
Ok place for latin cuisine
We ordered takeout yesterday for lunch a chicken and a beef dish ...the two entrees were huge! I can live on their rice and beans alone! Everything was absolutely delicious! We cant wait to go there and experience it in person!!!!!
Wow this place is legit! I randomly found it in a search and I’m so glad I did. I had the pupusas, steak tacos and plantains. Everything was delicious and I can’t wait to go back. Friendly staff too!
I have never had el Salvadoran food. I could not have been more pleased. My husband had fried tilapia and I had a beef stew. The fish was creative and new to this area. The whole fish was served with a lovely mix of sides. The whole meal was wonderful. My stew was so tasty. I believe it may be the cure for the common cold. It was a beef stew that was warm and comforting. Portions were large, I could not finish my stew. The decor is simple, but if you want an outstanding meal try Cabanas, you wont be dissapointed.
Excellent, authentic food and generous portions. If you are looking for a tasty Salvadoran dinner this is your place!
Great! The service was wonderful, the the food was Delicious! Try the Tamal!.. The fried plantain was cooked perfectly. Price was moderate but well worth every penny plus the tip.I highly recommend this place!
DELICIOUS!!! The food was great ! Everything I tried was delicious! The people that work there are so helpful and kind. I highly recommend going there.
The tamales, which is all I and my wife have eaten there so far, are excellent! Rich flavor of chicken and masa. The service was fast and pleasant. We will be back. Highly recommended.
The food was delicious and authentic! I forgot to take a picture before I started eating!
A hidden gem! Everything was absolutely delicious. Huge portion sizes and such nice staff. A definite must during your next trip to Rehoboth.
Good portions, their fish dish is what brought us back!! No frills, hard working staff and very friendly. No alcohol is served, but they do have Mexican Coke in the glass bottle with real sugar!
Excellent quality food and preparation. Very informa and friendly place. I am definitely going back soon.
Incredible food, fast service. We tried the chicken tamales. Marinated chicken tacos served with cilantro and onions. Charred marinated steak tacos. Even the chicken strips and fries were delicious. We will be back!
Friendly and really good authentic food. I will be returning here soon. My car wouldnt start and the cashier came out to help. Great service !!!!! Plato micro highly recommended too
Love this place. I havent eaten El Salvadoran food in so long. Great staff, prompt & courteous service, food was amazing.
Excellent food, I mean truly great but really screwed up a door dash order on there end. They also refused to sort it out so we could get our food. I really hope they get there act together because yet again amazing food. Just bad service.
Large portions of some authentic latin food. Had a Spanish style beef and onions. Order the grilled chicken, both delicious.
We ordered stuffed peppers and mixed plate for take out and the food was delicious. The peppers were stuffed with a spicy ground beef mix and came with sides of spicy-ish salad, beans and rice, the mixed plate was a tasty combination of spicy sausage, marinated steak and chicken breast, 2 different kinds of salads, beans and rice. Everything accompanied by home made tortillas. Highly recommended by both kids and adults!
Cabañas has the BEST pupusas! We order 20 at a time to bring back to Philly with us. Nice family owned place with authentic and delicious Salvadoran food. Definitely a hidden gem. Gracias!
My parents and I were looking for a Spanish restaurant to eat at and we tried Cabanas. The host was very friendly. My ordered the beef soup and loved it! I ordered the pollo guisado and it was so yummy and my dad tore up the Rez guisado. Delicious food and friendly services 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
This food was amazing! The mixed pupusas and refried beans were off the chain! 🥰
My new goto place. I just moved out here from LA and I would gladly put this place up against my goto spots back home. I recommend these pupusas to any and all.
Delicious food at a great price!! Very friendly and quick service!!! Recommend this restaurant 100%!!!!
Fresh, made to order delicious food in a friendly, clean environment. A hidden gem located in an out of the way strip mall. Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant!
I dont intend to leave this review lightly, but this is one of the most tasty "Mexican" or salvadoran food Ive ever had in my life.
Loved it. Food was so good, reasonably priced (especially for the portions), and the service was great. Definitely would love to come back the next time in town.
The food was very mediocre. Chicken was bland, steak was bland, pupusas were not good and tiny. Too much masa, bland. Horchata was possibly the worst Ive ever drank in my life. Ive had pupusas from many places, but this was worse than the frozen pupusas you can buy from Giant. This is not a good representation of Salvadoran food. Waiter was nice.
This place is absolutely superb if youre looking for great Latin American food this is the place. We came here our first night and will be back 100%
As a Pupusa Aficionado. Born in El Salvador, frequent often, and eats Pupusas on the regular (Eating right now); This is below average even with low expectations. Waiter/Owner was super nice and Im sure his other food may be good. But if anyone expects authentic pupusas this is far from it. Pupusas had little flavor and all masa. Please try pupusas in Long Island, California, New Jersey, Virginia and compare. Even better if you ever make it to El Salvador make sure to give them a try. Note: Visited Saturday 5/25/19 ordered to go.
Did not disappoint!!! Delicious food, wonderful service, great portions! Theres LOVE in this food. Try it! You will be happy you did.
For us, its always about the soft tacos. Yum.
We found ourselves hungry in the Lewes area after a visit to Cape Henlopen State Park. Pulling off to look at reviews online, I saw a place that was well-rated and offered food a bit unusual for our home area: Cabañas Restaurant, offering Salvadorian food. The plaza is possible to miss, look for Go Brit, its in the same plaza. Walking in we were greeted by simple but functional accommodations, with soccer on two televisions and some light decor. This is not a fancy decor restaurant; this is a tasty food restaurant. Ironically, its also a less busy restaurant -- on a July Sunday there were few people present, and plaza parking was plentiful.Seeing the menu on the counter we expected to need to order there, but because we were eating in we were told that table service would be offered. After some water to rehydrate from hiking at the park, my wife had a tamarind soda that she enjoyed... and I ordered some orchata from which she stole large sips. The orchata was quite good, possibly the best weve had.We split two dishes so we both could enjoy trying two entrees. One was the Combo plate with its pupusa, tamal, plantain, avocado, and refried beans. Worth noting that despite similarities to related cuisines these items were definitely a bit different. The tamal was wrapped in banana leaves, not a corn husk, and the chicken inside was quite good. The pupusa was filled with a tasty cheese and loroco sauce (there were two other options). The avocado was perfect -- so hard to do. The other item was the Sopa de Res, a beef stew with chayote squash, carrots, corn, plantain, and tortillas. The tortillas were large and thick, and made a nice accompaniment. The beef was rich and hearty, still on the bone. The owner came out and asked us how we liked our food, and suggested dessert. After some extended discussion we chose the Nuegados. This dessert was plenty for two, especially after the feast wed already had. Its a bit unusual, in that it has yucca root cakes, molasses sauce, and roasted corn atole, and all these items are separate. The biggest thing to note is that the corn atole comes out quite hot. It will be a bit of time until its cool enough to easily drink. The second biggest thing to note is that the idea is to combine these elements in your mouth -- the sweet of the molasses, the starchy atole, and the hint of bitter in the yucca cake. It took a while, but soon it was gone.Cabañas was both a friendly and an enjoyable place, and we plan to stop back the next time were in the Lewes area.Vegetarian note: There are a scant number of items for you (Pupusa, Yuca Frita, and the Desayuno Salvadoreño breakfast), and I did not ask if pork was involved in the refried beans (used in the latter). Id call ahead if I were you.
We were coming back from the beach and wanted some real Hispanic food and we came along this restaurant, it was DELICIOUS we cleaned our plates. The owner is super nice very humble guy. Would totally recommend this place 10/10!!! The place is very clean and it’s definitely a family restaurant. Next time we’re in town will definitely be going there again.
I was a bit skeptical by what I saw and location. But my taste buds are highly recommending this place. The food is to live for. Personal service with a smile. Reasonable price for a fair amount of food. Nice variety and very fresh.
Went here for dinner last night and it was delicious. Everything we had was authentic and flavorful. I had the burrito de Carmen which was a shrimp burrito and it was an explosion of flavor. My friend had the pollo guisado and she cleaned her plate! We were so happy with it, we went back next day for tres leches cake. Outstanding!! You will not be disappointed.
Came from New Jersey and there food was amazing and the staff has a great personality. One of the best place I have gone for Pupusas.
Always GREAT food and GREAT service every time! The food is authentic and cooked fresh and delicious. The restaurant is very clean and the server is a very nice guy. We love this restaurant and it is our go to when we are in town!
There atole de elote, warm sweet corn, is amazing! Wow! I know it sounds weird but its awesome! There food is also very good; Spanish comfort food.
Nice staff and a variety of options. They were not certain on a variety of things and had to ask the kitchen what was gluten free and vegetarian. Fairly certain the correct tortillas are not home made but could be wrong.
This is THE best food Ive had in such a long time! Get the combo plate! Beautiful tamales! Perfect!!!
Good service, clean restaurant, delicious food. Hidden gem, that is worth a quick stop.
The owner is a nice man and the food is delicious. Quality El Salvadoran cuisine at great prices.
The guy behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. It was my first time there so I asked him for a recommendation so he suggested the chiles rellenos de carne. I was not disappointed two huge roasted poblano chiles stuffed with loads of flavorful ground meat accompanied with rice, salad, sour cream and delicious tortillas that are small and dense. Everything tasted fresh a delicious the atmosphere very casual and friendly.
The Food was AMAZING! The taste was authentic and since I could not decide on what to eat I asked them to make me a plate with a little bit of everything on it to sample the Food. Everything was good! 🤗The atmosphere is very casual and friendly. I enjoyed the Service and prices are excellent. You have to try the tamales, pupusas, their seafood cream soup (super good). And a far as their deserts the I tried the Tres leches Cake ( wow super moist and AMAZING), empanadas, and pineapple pudding (which Comes hot). All very tasty. I also tried their cashew fruit drink (agua De marañonmade from the cashew fruit, very, very good. Overall a very casual and friendly experience that I recommend going to if your in the Delaware area. When my husband and I are in the area this is a go to spot. BTW the Tres leches Cake is homemade on the premises by one of their cooks. A definite must have.
BEST PUPUSAS EVER! i was told of this new place that was just open and went to try out thier pupusas and i loved them. I also ate thier Carne Asada platter which is an explosion of flavors and delicious. If you love Salvadoran food here is the place to come... they just opened and its awesome... i am defently a new customer.
