Cafe Zupas in Lake County

Visited this spot for the first time. Adrian and JC were super helpful, and very friendly. Food was good, but the manager really makes you want to come back. You don’t see this kind of service at Panera or Potbelly’s. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend.

Food was great , and the manager JC came and checked in on us . Very great customer service .

This is one of my favorite restaurants! The food is always fresh as it’s made daily. The portions are always ample and make good second meals. The staff, especially the manager JC and Rochelle are great. I’ve accidentally left my credit card their twice and they always have found it and held it for me. I highly recommend this location for fresh food and great service! Thank you!!!

Very clean and organized establishment. Very friendly and helpful staff managed by JC. Definitely prefer zupas over Panera. Just a better selection on the menu

I have been coming here for a long time and I have to say my experience dining here has significantly improved as the store is under new management. The store is clean and inviting and the staff is super helpful. The food is always great, but this 5 star review is for the staff and especially the manager, JC. Every time I come in, he is engaged with his staff. Not to mention, Jc makes sure your catering orders are taken care of. My office had stopped ordering catering from Cafe Zupas before because they were always late. The last two times we ordered from JC, the food was perfectly prepared and on time. Highly recommend both dine in and catering!

This place is amazing!!! The service is always incredible!! We always ask for JC when we go! His service is always outstanding! He never fails to go aboard beyond! And as always, the food is always absolutely delicious!!

I have tried many sandwhiches and have been impressed with the quality of it all. JC and the team are always welcoming and have recommended things on the menu that are their favorites and that never disappoints. JC is always curious about what the needs are for his customers and is great at listening. I appreciate it because some places you can feel so rushed and this place makes you feel right at home.

Went here for lunch, had a chicken sandwich and soup combination will be back for more. JC, who took care of my order made sure we were happy with food and service. Will be back soon.

This was my first time trying this restaurant! Allison was beyond patient with me and helped me select the right size of everything and gave me strong recommendations on what to get! Then this manager named JC put his two cents in on how I should order my food and also his suggestions! When I say they take customer service to the next level that’s exactly what they do! It was so good I decided to eat in the restaurant and I never dine in! They checked on me after I finished my meal to ensure that I was satisfied and gave me suggestions for the next time! Loved this food and the location was inviting just like the Manger and his team!l If I could give 10 stars I would that’s what the deserve

We come here often and the service and food is always great. I love the mango yogurt dressing and it’s delicious every time.

The manager is always pleasant and the staff is as well. Food is good and at a reasonable price. I enjoy going there.

Great place with good food and decent price. I like the lobster soup and chicken bbq salad that I always get from here. Employees are nice especially JC, very polite.

I do takeout nearly every week and they never disappoint. JC leads a great and welcoming team. The food is always fresh and tastes great.

Ordered food for my co-workers the other week and I just have to rave able how impressed I was by the professionalism by JC! He had answered all my questions even some I didnt even think of, our food was delivered to us on time and the taste of the food was divine, along with the temperature of the food being perfect for all items from cold to hot! I wanted to leave a review and specifically mention Mitchell, an employee at this location! I work around the corner and visit this particular location quite frequently, and he is so incredibly kind and accommodating. He’s so attentive and generally pleasant that I assumed he was a manager! He constantly hustles and clearly gives every single customer 100% of his attention, and it’s just really appreciated. Thanks so much for such a lovely experience!

Fresh sandwich and salad and soup spot with unusually good desserts for such a healthy place.

This the noisiest place for dining we have ever been to. The continual sliding of chairs is not only distracting but limits normal conversation.The low number of eat in customers seems to not have an impact on the noise level. The staff will move the chairs around to either sweep or mop the floors.Try Rosebuds nextdoor. Get a drink to soothe your jangled nerves.

This place is awesome. Great price for a great tasting meal. My first time and I love it. They opened a sweet green across the street and I had tried that place as well. Hands down this place gives you more for less and its just as healthy and tasty. I will definitely be back and skip out on sweet green.Updated March 6 to the 14.This place starts putting everything up 1.5 hours before closing. Hard to get service and takes a long time for anything, seeing that everyone is trying to leave on the dot. Isnt this supposed to be done when serving hours are closed? What is the manager doing here?? Service is horrendous and totally unacceptable

I had the chicken pesto sandwich and the lobster bisque soup. The best part is that calories are mentioned next to each item. The food was healthy and very tasty. Would recommend to everyone looking for healthy bowl of salad or soup.

I placed order through our admin. It was very disappointing. I ordered Avocado Chicken Chop Salad without Bacon. Disappointed in multiple front.I got with Bacon and not knowing it, I mixed and realized it had bacon and i have pull out those which was painful with lot of small pieces. Second it contain only few pieces of any chicken / protein. Just full of leaves I ate with absolutely no taste. So disappointed

Ordered a Large Southwest Protein Bowl. After waiting 30 minutes for this, I could not be more disappointed. No idea what they made, but it’s far from a large protein bowl…more like a pathetic side salad with a small scoop of cold chicken. Will never eat here again and you should be ashamed at what you are sending out the door.

I used to love this place. But in the last year or so, things have changed. They do not have enough employees during the rush hour, at one time I had to wait several hours for my lunch order. There was a man ranting inside because he had waited for so long, so I decided to go home and wait. I felt bad for both sides. The quality of the food has declined too. Sometimes the bread tastes okay, most of the time it tastes like rubber. They are also one of the vendors for my childs school lunch. One day I ordered "MAC & CHEESE AND CHICKEN STRIPS", and I was told that my child only got 1 piece of chicken strip. I am very disappointed.

We actually had a bad visit yesterday. We always love coming to cafe zupas & couldnt wait to try the pumpkin chorizo soup, but when we walked in ...the girl was standing there & didnt even greet us...we had to say hello first...we got the impression we were bothering their conversation....then she messed up my order..i didnt get the salad i ordered.

I gave them the first star because it tasted fresh. The 2nd star because the portion was so small it made me laugh. $10 for that "steak & cheese" sandwich. $4 for the cup of clam chowder.

Have eaten here several times. Food is just MEH and mediocre at best. Skimpy portions with respect to ingredients. Having said that, it was the only half decent option walking distance to my house which also offers outdoor seating, so is convenient for meeting a friend for a quick summertime global pandemic lunch. If not for those things, I wouldnt go back.

I have never seen such a skimpy service in my entire ice. The guy literally took the smallest amount that he could, and then even returned some of the food to the container to save in ingredients! . When I questioned that they explained that there is nothing they can do because it’s the company policy. Just a shame!

Walked out immediately after noticing that only one of the many many staff members was wearing a mask. Considering all of the food prep and handling they are doing as well as customer interaction, I find this to be very unsanitary and irresponsible given the highly contagious virus being spread by even those who are vaccinated.

Everything was fresh and delicious! Had a 1/2 BBQ chicken salad paired with the turkey avacado club sandwich. One of the best salads! My dinner even came with a chocolate dipped strawberry!

The food is very flavorful. Just know that the Thai steak salad doesnt have any steak on it. At least the one I ordered didnt.

So we ordered Zupa’s via curbside. The order was run out quickly. The Curbside runs along well the curb, and is a lil awkward and not defined very well. It would be better in the nearest parking stalls.The food is beyond fresh and delicious. We love the chocolate covered strawberries!ordering using their app and picking up is a great way to go

I went here for my birthday and the employees were extremely nice. One walked us through the different options, soups, salads, and desserts. The food was absolutely AMAZING! The drinks were tasty too. I really enjoyed the chocolate covered strawberries. The bathrooms were very clean and there was a wide variety of food. This place is very healthy and I would definitely recommend it!

Something is wrong with this place. It was great just few months ago but I had really bad experience three times during past couple weeks. First time steak didn’t look fresh in the salad and my stomach felt it later. Second time the lobster soup wasn’t the same as before and the diarrhea proved it later. The very recent experience was the cheesecake, it tasted not fresh too. Their customer service is still very good and staff is polite. That gives them the opportunity to get more than one star but as this is a food place before everything else they don’t deserve more than two stars due to not fresh ingredients in their cuisine.

Very disappointed! Havent been since COVID-19 hit. The 3 salads were spectacular as usual. The FOUR steak and cheese sandwiches were pitiful and even burnt. It also looked like the bread for the sandwiches is smaller than it use to be. The pumpkin spice creme Brule - YUCK!!! Not even close to creme Brule!

Ive ordered for delivery and my experience has been great. The food is delicious, and this time they saw that I had ordered all vegetarian options and called to make sure that I really wanted the one soup I had ordered which has bacon - I didnt realize that and was very grateful for the thoughtfulness. The substituted it for me with no fuss. I can see this as a regular place for me, tasty soups and sandwiches at good prices!

I love Cafe Zupas and frequent often but this location was very disappointing. I agree with other reviews regarding the service and proportions at this location. It seemed like all the girls except for the cashier were clueless, and by the time I had checked out I had repeated my order 4-5 times (and they still got it wrong). When I ordered a brownie it seemed like nobody except for the poor cashier knew where it was and how to take it out of the display case. In regards to proportions, I ordered 2 regular soups and 1 large - each cup was only filled half way. On top of that I only recieved 1/2 spoon of onion straws for my soup and 3 small cubes of chicken for my salad. When I found out that there was a cafe Zupas on my way home from work I was super happy but Id rather tack on an extra 15 minutes to my commute to go to a location with better service.

You will feel like a better person after eating here! And theyre stocked with the sweetest employees : )

Very tasty food. Good selection and options for vegetarians. Sandwiches, soups and salads are excellent but I’d suggest cutting way back on the garlic in your otherwise delicious tomato basil soup. Salad with mango-yogurt dressing is awesome! Friendly and helpful staff. I gladly recommend this cafe to family and friends.

Went here when it first opened nice selection of salads, sandwiches, and soups. There are different ways you can order, individually or combinations of soup and salad , soup or sandwich etc. You can add or delete items in the menu items with no problem, I ask for some onions in the salad I ordered which was not included and they said no problem, with no extra charge. The lobster soup I had was so delicious that I was flabbergasted, I went in with the preconceived opinion that it would be flavorless and overly salty, but no it was very favorable, with pieces of lobster and not salty at all. My daughter really enjoyed her salad and salad as well. I have yet to try the sandwiches, next time, they do look delicious. A few dessert were available and a nice selection of self serve beverages.

Delicious salads and bowls with many healthy options to choose from, plus a chocolate strawberry with every meal! The roll is a little underbaked and from a package, but ok.

I was blown away by this place. The food was amazing (ordered for 5 people and we all loved the food), the staff was friendly, happy, helpful, and EFFICIENT, the dining room is bright and inviting. side note: It was so cool to see the strawberries being hand dipped. I specifically ordered the Thai Peanut Coconut Quinoa Bowl. It was so good, I dont even really like Kale, but thought I would give it a try. SO glad I did!
