Absolutely terrible service. I booked an appointment for my vehicle to get its aircon fixed (priced at 165 dollarsI brought my car in and was told it was going to take 1 hour, and they would msg me when it was done. After 3 and a half hours of waiting at DFO, I went back myself to ask, though no one had informed me it was finished. After receiving the bill of $110 the rude desk lady told me that the aircon had a leak. 110 dollars and 3 1/2 hours time for nothing. Waste of time and money completely disgusted in this business for how they treated me and I deserve a refund. Appalling, never returning.

Squeezed me in on short notice to look at an A/C issue on my old 80 series. Air is icy cold again, very quick turnaround and price was good. Cheers.

I dropped my car off this morning to the team with my required repairs. I was able to add on a service to my booking at late notice which they were happy to accomodate. I found the service and repairs great, my car was completed well before the time I expected, and the staff were friendly and I will definitely be using them again in the future.

I took my car here thinking I had electrical issues as I just got it back from a different mechanic who said it was runnning fine and it broke down the day I got it back from the mechanics Midas. Cairns auto spark and mechanical located the issues for me as mechanical issues that should’ve been found and fixed by my previous mechanic. These guys really know what they are doing with cars and provided friendly and professional service. Cannot recommend them enough! They are now my preferred mechanics! 10/10

Great service, fitted us in two days later. Upfront with pricing prior to booking, they said itd be done by lunch and got it back early at 11:30AM.

Did half arse job in connecting my alpine head unit, which means I cant access my setting feature, time/date etc.... told me I didnt have right cords had to pay extra...was very expensive specially for something that wasnt done right! Was going to come back and get rear reverse camera in but wont be now. Not happy!! Was a first time customer.

I am writing this review on behalf of Dominic Clune in relation the concerning service he received from this business.Initially Dom took his car to Cairns Auto Spark Mechanical in order have his EGR valve replaced.Dom was waiting for two weeks to have the EGR Valve replaced. This was covered under his warranty. When the work was complete, he received no documentation to state what work had been done or any evidence that work had been completed.A couple of weeks after this Dom booked his car in to have his cam belt changed. He was quoted $1300. Not long after this, Doms car would not start. Using a code machine Dom identified that the issue was related to the EGR valve, a problem which was meant to have already been fixed.After paying $100 to have the vehicle towed to Cairns Auto Spark Mechanical, Dom was contacted by them to advise that there were issues with the drive belt, cam belt as well as a problem with EGR valve. Dom was quoted another $450 to fix the drivebelt, totalling $1750.Dom was initially told that it would be ready by Thursday 18/08/2022 when it was towed on Monday 15/08/2022. After not hearing back Dom went to Cairns Auto Spark on the Friday and was advised that it would not be ready until the coming Monday 22/08/2022. Dom contacted Cairns Auto Spark again on Monday afternoon as he had not heard anything and was now advised that it would be Tuesday.Normally these types of delays would be understandable however, there was no communication attempted by Cairns Auto Spark Mechanical. The cherry on top is that when Dom attended Cairns Auto Spark Mechanical on Tuesday the job he was quoted ~$1750 for was now $2330. Almost $600 more than what was initially quoted. The fact that Dom was not contacted about the work costing such a significant amount more is extremely worrying. Dom enquired before paying about why the amounts were so much more but was not given any further information.After seeking advice through other reputable services they all advised that the amount was too high and could not work out how the labour hours were correct.This is a massive red flag, anytime a customer has received a quote which changes dramatically, it is common practice to contact the customer and advise them of this.The fact this did not occur is at best an indicator of the lack of communication standards at Cairns Auto Spark and at worst it is overcharging somebody for your service.Long story short:- Charged significantly more than quoted without being advised and no follow up from the business despite failing to meet multiple timeframes which they gave.I would not be recommending this service due to poor communication and customer service.IN RESPONSE TO OWNER:This is not an attempt to damage your reputation, the purpose is to prevent other people from using your service. I have used other auto-electricians and mechanics and you rank second worst in the experience you provided here.1. Part of the delay was because you had ordered INCORRECT parts. Dom was advised that you had ordered the parts for a Jetta instead of a VW.2. Dom would have been more than fine with the delays however, the fact he was not contacted or kept in the loop at all over the process is something you need to take accountability for. At no point did you contact Dom and tell him it would cost extra, at no point did you call him and advise that there were delays beyond the timeframe you had given. Dom contacted YOU each time to follow up and it was ALWAYS after the timeframe you had given.3. You did not explain the reason for any extra costs and as stated other companies have plainly stated that they cannot account for the amount of labour hours that it took you to complete this job.My review will be downgraded to one star as you have not made any single attempt to rectify and amend any concerns about this situation.

$260 to tell me i need a wiring loom i dont need, your joking! I have been a diesel mechanic for 18 years, its a short.. everything else is working fine on that loom! Total rip off. AVOID. I took it in for a short to ground on my fuel sender wire so iWent and spent $80 on a short finder and 20 mins of my time and fixed the fuel gauge issue myself!UPDATE: I was contacted by the owner, Colin, who advised that bill amount was incorrect and was given a partial refund and apologised for the mistake made by a new employeewho required more training.

Took my car in to do an aircon diagnostic and did not call me to advise what the problem was before re-gassing it. When I went to collect the vehicle I was advised it required a new hose and they would deduct the second re-gas after I mentioned it. I had to call them 2 weeks later to see if the part had arrived yet as I had not heard anything from them. Once booked in they advised they wouldn’t be able to deduct the re-gas after all. Poor communication and poor customer service. Would not recommend using. Not polite or accommodating. Asked to speak to the manager and was told he was out looking at cars.Edit 20.5.22The manager called me same day to apologise and to have the air con fixed as originally promised at the price that was originally agreed upon. Car has now been fixed and is running well.

I have a Dual Cab Hilux with 3/4 canopy. As a novice female 4wd owner I needed electricals for fridge installion I discussed what my expectations were for usage etc. and the guys helped my build a system that would suit my needs. They installed for me a solar panel, DC-DC Batt Charger, Control Box and Lighting. They even thought ahead and gave me a system I can build on without much fuss. They fitted me in quickly (within the week where other places would have been a very long waitI am super happy with the result, service and price. I really liked the communication all the way through and can vouch that this is definately a female friendly business. Thanks Heaps cant wait to use at Easter.

Dropped my car off on a Thursday but couldn’t get what was needed to be fixed until the week later Monday but I could definitely understand it was busy.. I was so disappointed having to wait long but had the best outcome had my aircon fixed after long almost 2 years. It’s literally freezing cold. Best part about is my driver side door wasn’t able to open from inside when I dropped it off when I picked it up. I didn’t get any notes to say they’ve fixed it I randomly opened my door and got a shock that it work!! I’m so happy they fixed it and free off charge. I’m a happy customer! .🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

Avoid like the plauge. Had 2 attempts in fixing a power leak. Had no idea about the stereo in my car. Removed parts anyway and then lost them. I had to put my dash back together when i picked up my car. Worst customer service only want to quote on new parts to replace the parts that were lost. Wish i could give no stars

Took my Audi Q7 in to get a diagnosis as my a.c system was having issues. Unfortunately I had a bit of miss communication over the diagnosis and unfortunately left a little worse of. Thankful Colin the owner of the business took time out of the day to try and resolve the situation. Gave me a call and we worked out a fair resolution. The very next day the car was back in and fixed In no time but after taking the car home very happy with the result I had Colin called me again to follow up and make sure everything was okay and I was happy. Let me tell you I am the level of professionalism shown towards me was very appreciated Thanks to Colin and the team.

Had a stereo system fitted into my car, pricing was great compared to other places I had quotes from and job was done in a timely matter. Sound system works amazingly, very happy with the quality, couldn’t fault the customer service at all. Very professional team to deal with.Would recommend the business to anyone.

Not happy with the service. A leak in the radiator missed. Car overheated, new replaced coolant bought & tow truck ordered to save the car. Informed them of what happened which was met with a hollow apology and no follow up service resolve the issue. I will not be recommending in what is a competitive industry in Cairns.In reply to your response it wasnt a Kia so you are talking about the wrong situation to the wrong owner which begs to ask if this type of situation is not unfamiliar.My car was a Jaguar that received a full service in which your report stated that it had checked all radiator hoses and belts. The report stated that the radiator was fine with no leakages. The radiator did leak as stated above. A fan belt came off, causing the car to instantly overheat. In fear of further damage the vehicle was towed home. You didnt stand behind your work as stated on your service report but happily accepted payment with no further action offered even after coming into the workshop to explain the post service event. This statement is given with no bias but based on the facts of the events.25/10/21: Colin the owner contacted me to resolve any concerns I had. Very approachable guy, who is fair dinkum about the reputation of his business. Offered compensation which was brilliant but not what I was chasing, thank you though, appreciated. He has followed up the service with his blokes. His report stated that the felt belt would likely go and true to that it did. Thank you for taking the time to have a chat this afternoon. All has been resolved and I am more than satisfied with Colins professionalism and integrity. Cheers. I will be looking at doing some work with this business in the future based on his commitment.

Did a $97 air con service and regas. I believe the work was pretty hasty. Car air con unfortunately didnt feel much colder.

Update clients with everything especially if vehicle is I the shop for a long period of time. We had to keep making contact with you guys because of the stress it was causing.

My wife dropped the car off in the morning for a diagnosis and quote as our usual mechanic was too busy. We waited all day and had to call back twice to find out what was going on. My wife was told the alternator was broken and had to be replaced for $800. We said we would get a second opinion and was charged $50. Today our usual mechanic diagnosed the issue in 15 minutes it was only a loose wire which had burnt out. This was fixed in less than an hour for $80.

These guys are fantastic, I needed a trailer brake controller installed in my Navara before going on the Easter long weekend, and they booked me in that afternoon, and did a couple of other minor jobs to the headlights and windscreen washer. Bryce gave professional, honest anf genuinr advice for Elec fit out for a Van I am trying to convert to a camper. The end invoice was more than the rough quote due to more time being spent on it but advice given for product knowledge was very helpful and enabled me to buy it all for the fit. He also identified a mechanical issue during time at the shop but gave me the option to have it fixed there or not.Genuine and I recommend.

I didnt know of this business until my warranty people referred me. I had an elcetri window that got jammed and presumed the electric window motor had blown. Once they diagnosed it was just a bit of dirt not only did they clean it for me but they lubricated ALL my windows and made sure they were 100% instead of taking the door apart and it costing me a big sum..$75 for the diagnosis and EVERYTHING else they did..REALLY HAPPY AND GRATEFUL! definitely honest people which can be hard to find in this industry thanks guys!

Ripped of big time. These guys will turn a 30 minute job into a 3.5 hour job if they think you have money$150 per hour labour to fit a trailer plug that I supplied myself and joined some minor little wires that I would have done myself in 30 minutes but had no tools with me while traveling.Total job expected maybe $150 but charged Me $450. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS.

Called up last minute and they squeezed me in. Being a full time traveller that was awesome and then went over the issue with the car. When it couldnt be fixed in the time frame I needed they pointed me in the right direction and charged me nothing. Not often you see service and get genuine people like that in business. Would 100% recommend these guys!
