Carroll wrote out parenting agreement by hand instead of typing it for court. Police will not enforce handwritten parenting plan on court order. Promised to get it updated and ghosted us. Never returned our phone calls. Dont waste your money, get anyone else but Carroll.

Does bare minimum for the $3k retainer fee. Provides no guidance or advice and zero communication to follow. Youll have to call and/or email to get a response from him. Dont waste your time and money.

I have been calling carroll and no return no communication at all. Havent heard from him in 6 months he took my money and has done nothing.This is the absolute worst lawyer ever to Exist. Dont get lost in his words of hope, He only wants the money and has no care for your well-being.He is the used car salesman of lawyers just a heads up.

NEVER RETURNS CALLS OR KEEPS PROMISES!!!!This dude was going to defend a friend of mine for a DUI case but the case got dropped then called my friend and informed him that he owed him some money since he didnt do anything. He informed my friend that the would square up after the holidays. That was November 2021…. It is now june 2022 and nothing. My friend has bin calling him twice a week every week since…..then my buddy made an appointment to see him on my buddys lunch break. He went there and when he got there this lawyer was in a meeting with someone else. My buddy waited for 45 min then he had to go back to work, meanwhile this lawyer is still in a meeting with the other guy?! While my friend was leaving the secretary said he’d call him after the meeting…never did. Thanks mr PEIFFER👎

This dudes a joke. Its like giving money to a homeless man, Except hes a lawyer...... smoking crack. You cant make this stuff up. I wouldnt send my dead grandma to this clown.

Good luck on getting a phone call back. Even if the secretary says he will call you, he won’t! Went through an adoption process and stuck with not even being able to change my child’s information due to him messing up on birthdates and refusing to refile a simple paper. I’ve called, messaged, and dropped off as much as I can… even offered to take it the clerks for him and still have not gotten a response. Once you’ve paid full amount, two years later and he brushed his client off like I’m asking for extra work to be done.

Did nothing for my son. Never even spoke to him before they went to court. Paid him money for nothing. So sad.

Trust the process sometimes it may be hard and could take time but Mr. Peiffer will help you recover your children with an active case goin on!! Ill repeat what the last review says and definitely do not recommend Carroll unless you you want everything to be worse off, I mean everything. He has one job (defend the paying clientand no intentions of doing so. He is incapable, incompetent and persistently absent. His only recommendation is to "do what the other party says". He is very clearly on the other side at my cost which is against the code of conduct for attorneys. Ive reported him to the bar and since he cant read emails or return calls, hopefully he sees this review to learn that he is fired!

Mr. Peiffer assisted my family through a child custody case. He was extremely knowledgeable and put my concerns to ease. He knows the court system and processes backwards and forwards. He responded to my calls and emails the same day. Furthermore, his rates were fair and favorable to another attorney we contacted. I would recommend his services to anyone needed representation, especially in family matters. Finally, we won our case! Mr. Peiffer presented such a strong case that my ex backed down without going to trial. Thank you Carroll!!

He was helpful but makes no since that professional attorneys that respond in Sacramento the day you call them don’t have the same rules he plays by. Would not recommend him to anyone that doesn’t want long term problems. Really disappointed for what little he had to do and how easy it was yet I have attorneys doing twice the work that don’t test me this way.

I would highly recommend Carroll in any case he can possibly take. He is very attentive in every aspect of your case, what can you and can’t you do and what steps are best for your situation. Carroll helped me with full custody of 5 children including adoption forMy husband of all 5 children. It took us years trying to find a good price for all we where asking and Carroll was the lowest I’ve ever came across and not only that he came across with a lot of knowledge of our situation.The absent parent is a rolling stone and we did not have an exact contact information on him but Carroll and his investigation team went above and beyond in looking into last known addresses and last known work job(s). Pretty much did all they can to contact the parent.After all this he went into filing motion for putting an add into the newspaper of where the absent parent was last known to be residing at. Carroll Went above and beyond to find ways to help us financially with posting in Alameda County newspaper. We ended up saving $10,000 due to being able to qualify for a fee waiver.Carroll is very honest and up forward with everything in the case either good or bad. He looked into things in depth to make sure when we close this case there won’t be no cracks in the future for the absent parent to try and reopen the case. Mr. Peiffer has been fighting my case for years now. A termination of guardianship that has been in place for most of my sons life and he was willing to fight for my son and I resulting in the termination of guardianship. Mr. Peiffer not only has been to one of the best known law schools, he is extremely witty and creative in the courtroom. BEWARE of this lawyer! Very unprofessional, doesn’t deliver on promised work and then charges you for the full amount! Currently disputing charges thru my bank but save yourself the hassle and get yourself a decent lawyer that will fight for you! This one doesn’t care!

If I could give no stars I would... when I called him for a consultation he fed me everything I wanted to hear... we needed to get my sister and her children out of a very toxic abuse relationship and the guys an alcoholic who drives all the time with the kids in the car ... he then told me he need a $5000k retaining fee And explained why he needed the $5k. Mind first thing first all we needed was a restraining order, and attorney when cares about his client s good have at least advised us that we can go do it our selves at the court house to save money... it took him 9 days before we fired him to file a emergency restraining order for my sister and her twins. He not only filed incorrectly all 3 times but took my sister physically going to his office picking up the restraining order paperwork to properly turn it in at the courthouse when she did he o my did it for her and disregard the children’s safety completely. We did hire a new attorney and he has done more in 3 days then this attorney did the whole nine days! Out of the 5k he charged us 3k ... if you think you deserve to get paid for dropping the ball 3 times is absolutely ridiculous. We would try to get a hold of him and the front desk would yell at us telling me to stop calling because we needed documents from him to show the police . And still charged us for those phone calls ... we are in the process of trying to get a full refund because he literally did nothing ... he only cares about getting paid and did nothing to make sure my sisters kids were safe and all he had to say was it’s not the end of the world... he just does not care ... save your money ... I don’t want this to happen to anyone else... especially those making the courageous decision To leave there abuser.

i hired a cornflake lawyer from Marysville who was a great disappointment and a complete joke who had to be fired for reasons beyond this review. Afterwords i hired Carroll. Carroll did a very good job, he did excellent work. It was an uphill battle for Carroll because the first lawyer voluntarily allowed bigotry, racial ignorance and cultural assumptions to creep in and undermine everything. Carroll remained loyal and true to his client. He did a fantastic job, very pleased with Carroll. When you enter a courtroom you want someone like Carroll on your side, not afraid to fight. He stood his ground but more importantly he did what was right and fair towards his client. Very pleased with Carrol Peiffer. If you are a minority dont risk hiring someone else.

I highly recommend Carroll. He is by far the best and a truly caring man. He understands what a family goes through and is a great communicator. We have been dealing with custodial issues and he helped my son who is currently serving our country overseas. If I could give him ten stars I would.
