Highway 2 was closed due to fire. I called the hotel to see if they had any rooms and Henry took my call late at night and got up and met us at the hotel, he was very accommodating and friendly. You have the option of a shared bathroom at a lower rate or a private bath, we took the private bath and the room was nice, the bed was fantastic!

Me and my friends had just finished Section J of the PCT and ended at Steven’s Pass. Not wanting to camp another night, we took the bus to Skykomish (a town we didn’t know existedand found the Cascadia Inn. Henry’s service was wonderful and he set us up nicely. The facilities were clean and he provided us with what we needed. I’d highly recommend this as a great place to stay for hikers and any travelers who find themselves in Skykomish (which was a lovely town).

Stayed 2 nights in June. There was a death in the owners family so he was not available. Most rooms are European style with a shared bathroom down the hall. It was clean and well kept. Mattresses were very uncomfortable. The price was exorbitant for what was offered that weekend.

This is the best little hidden secret on the whole highway 2 corridor! The cascadia inn and a restaurant. Excellent service and amazing food. Everybody needs to come here! Make sure and give Cheryl and Henry hugs when youre there!

Stayed here for a night between Seattle and Leavenworth. Off the highway in Skykomish, very few lights, quiet without people but noisy with the train. Got a room with two beds, shared bathroom. Bathroom was super clean even though it was a shared bathroom. Owner was quite friendly when we checked in, gave us all the information we needed. Plenty of parking, didnt really stay long here. Wifi was good, bed was comfortable, enough outlets in the room.

I always feel cozy and warm at the Cascadia. The rooms are barebones and antique, but the people are helpful and kind. Feels like home - but the people you meet in the ‘bathroom down the hall’ are probably not family😆

I enjoyed visiting Skykomish every chance I get. Cascades Inn and Cafe is an unassuming place serving large portions of really delicious food and good service. Family friendly and a nice location for train spotting. It’s literally right in front. I hope you get the chance to visit both the town and business. I recommend the Acadia burger and tater tots.

Securing a room at this mountain motel in Skykomish, Washington, is easy to do on AirBnB. The building that houses the motel also has a full-service café that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I liked the Eggs Benedict I had one morning. Henry and Cheryl (and their weekend waitress Shennelwere courteous and hospitable during my stay. I’ve lived in New York for a decade, so I’m used to things fast and furious. Life here is sllllllooooooowwwww. Don’t expect things to go quickly up in the mountains. Assume you’ll have plenty of hours of quiet (you can hear the trains go by, but it’s not an intrusive sound). Explore the town. And oh. I reserved a single room with access to a shared bath. It’s a clean setup, and I had no issues. If you’re looking for a feel-good-trip-back-to-the-1890s Washington— this is the place to stay.

A really nice charming place.. They have several rooms that dont have restrooms and you have to use a communal space but they looked relatively clean.. The rooms with bathrooms are nice and simple.. Nice TVS and Cable if you are looking for that.. Also a cooking area downstairs with limited supplies.. You can always order from the Cafe..

My group had grilled cheese sandwich, onion rings, french fries, meatloaf sandwich, potato salad. Everything was tasty. There was indoor seating but, since it was a gorgeous day, we ate outside. Service was topnotch. Wait staff courteous and helpful. Cant wait to go back. Thanks!

I love the experience here. It is not a 5 star hotel but it has a great small town feel. You can have down to earth conversations with the owner. Be aware if you stay mid week the Cafe is not open mid week. You will have to put a meal together in the common area or eat elsewhere. There is a tavern and a deli within walking distance.

Old building with a restaurant downstairs and rooms upstairs. The staff were nice. The rooms were clean but sparse. No TV, bathroom down the hall- which was also clean. There were rooms with a private bathroom and rooms with bunk beds as well. Downstairs was a small kitchen/lounge. It was nice that you could use the microwave, make coffee, etc. There was a large TV and a few games in this area. Downstairs was not as clean and a bit dated.

Had a great time here. We spent Presidents weekend there this year and skied Stevens every day.The rooms were very clean, and the beds comfortable. The inn keeper, Henry, was extremely friendly and attentive. Food downstairs was incredible. Would definitely recommend and plan on returning.

Make a right turn into the tiny, quaint town of Skykomish & youll find a goldmine tucked at the side of an historic inn. The server there could light up the world. She took very good care of us, seemed to know every customer. They chatted amiably, even included us in conversation like we were regulars, old friends. One customer recommended we wait the 15 minutes for the proprietor (Henry?to return from the grocery store with the lettuce & tomato, because their salads were super-delicious & worth the wait. They were right! A delightful assortment of American comfort food, like a cup or bowl of hearty beef stew, clam chowder, fish & chips, meatloaf sandwiches, burgers, & BLTs. They offer specials for dinner (4 pm), lunch & breakfasts (till noon?). I want to stay at this Inn just because of the people there.

European style no frills hotel. Rooms are tiny, and most dont have a bathroom. Instead, youll share a communal bathroom at the end of the hall. As long as you know what youre getting into, its a great place to stay.

We stopped here to eat at the cafe after a day trip over Stevens Pass. It was early when we got there (4:30pm), so the place was deserted - things were picking up as we left though. The food was awesome - as was the strawberry milkshake. FYI - the smoked mac and cheese is not on the menu, but make sure to ask for it - it was amazing!

Its pretty run down & dated decor. Was good for the price. We went hiking nearby so we just needed a night to sleep. Cafes food is just okay, hashbrowns were not cooked well. Food flavor-wise was plane. Henry the host was However very nice & helpful. Other than that its just okay for the most part.

Small quiet town. We walked all over, everything is beautiful. The room here is small but sufficient with everything you need. The train is right outside and runs from time to time but its too be expected, it is a train area. The owner was very nice as well as all the people we met here. Just an overall great experience. Want an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life? Come enjoy the peace here. Great food too! I loved it!

Great experience came up here for the weekend with my girlfriend as a little get away. They welcomed us in like family. The room was very open and comfortable. We had a shared bathroom but its layed out nicely. The dinner and breakfast were very good. The owner was super nice and very personable. She made the experience very welcoming. The sites around town are beautiful and just add to the experience of the small town life. theres a little free train ride in the middle of town that was a lot of fun looks like its for kids but its not for just kids. Will definitely be coming back!

The owner was extraordinarily nice. I am vegan and had the spaghetti with no cheese. The sauce was pretty good and made in house, with green peppers. The owner even used olive oil, instead of butter, so that I could have the garlic bread, which was very good.Unfortunately, the mens restroom was so awful smelling, I almost gagged before rushing out. I didnt stay in there long enough to identify the source of the odor, but it smelled like old sewage.

Hotel is nestled in the cute little old town of Skykomish, not far from Stevens pass. They offered us two types of rooms; one with its own private full bathroom and tv. Second with no tv and shared bathrooms and showers with the floor your room is on. (Kind of like in collageThe hotel is old however it’s very clean and well taken care off. They also have a restaurant downstairs the food was great. I will definitely book a room at this hotel again when Im heading up to Stevens Pass for a weekend of snowboarding as they are so close to the ski resort.

Best place to stay near the mountain hands down. Family run, amazing home style cafe food, I always stop by after being at the pass. Best rates in the area, better than the ones farther away from the mountain in town.

Im conflicted... the owner / host was personable and easy to contact. The Queen bed was the hardest Ive ever slept in & there was a stray hair in my pillow. There were classic wood trim elements in the 10x10 room. The shared bathrooms have totally separate stall and locking door on each unit. Overall its a great cute place to crash for the night.

This hotel and Cafe is an awesome place in Skykomish. There are a few rooms with full amenities, as well as many rooms with basic rooms, no bathrooms. The cafe has great meals with specials popping up every now and again. If you stop by Skykomish, be sure to check this place out.

We love this place. People were so friendly. Made us feel very welcome. Step back in time and a slower pace.Truly relaxing. We found the rustic feel very peaceful.Breakfast with hummingbirds!! Several feeders hang outside the windows of our he cafe. Spectacular display of hummingbirds, which happen to be my favorite. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet with loads of yummy BACON! The French toast was sooo good! Henry’s western eggs with cheese. Yum.We have already reserved another stay at The Cascadia Inn.We have planned fishing, swimming hole about four miles away, hiking and a visit to the quaint town of Index. After taking in the splendor of the area, we will be at the Whistlestop for the coldest draft beer and great atmosphere. Very comfortable bed at the Inn waiting for us!! Ahhh.

Passing through after a hike and literally googled food near me and this place was the closest. I have to say Im pleasantly surprised. Super clean with a welcoming vibe. They were super accommodating when we asked to play the game and the staff was friendly. Most importantly the food was good and standard to what you would find at a diner. I had the Southwest salad and the veggies were fresh but my favorite part was the homemade dressing.

Older hotel with friendly staff and impeccably clean rooms. Nice restaurant in the hotel plus the Whistling Post is right next door for beers and pool. 20 min ride to Stevens in the morning so you can actually get to the hill in time to get a parking spot.

This is a great little hotel and cafe, they have a Sunday buffet for about $12 and its delicious. Its quality food and the place is very clean. Its a bit run down, but that is almost an advantage as they touch on the historical side of Stevens pass highway. A fantastic place to hit on the way too or from the mountain. This wasnt my first time and it wont be my last. Anyone looking for good food at a good price should stop on by.

For a place with shared baths, the place was very clean. Expect a dorm like room and thin walls. Re-live the college days. The owners are a very nice, easy-going couple who live nearby. Make sure to keep your keys with you or you will get locked out. There is an attached restaurant which they also run and we had really good hot chocolate there. But it closes up early.

My fiance and I were refused service because her service dog in training momentarily became excited, and was wiggling around. We quickly settled him down, then who I assume is the hotel manager, came around the corner and aggressively confronted us about his legitimacy. I told him we are leaving. He then followed us off the property and continued confronting us. What a horrible experience, we have never had such negativity about the service dog.

Ridiculous!I have been here many.many.many times.... Not the cheapest place.... But we try to support local business....Unfortunately this Sunday me and a friend went up for Sunday brunch..... All was fine.... The waitress brought water.....Then ignore-vile.... We sat (for awhileand she just started taking orders and helping other customers that arrived WAY AFTER we did.So I brought it to her attention..... And wouldnt you know.... The customers (just seatedthat she was helping uh acted like we were the issue... Hmm. Really......What reply did we get from the owner...... "We must not have seen you"........Seriously! .... The place holds all of 20 or 25 people topsOh well....

Historic hotel with clean rooms and shared bathroom / shower area. Its not the Euro-Style unisex shared bathrooms with open showers! These are individual rooms in the bathroom for showers and toilets with a single shared sink. There is a small shared kitchen / sitting area with a fridge , microwave, tea kettle, and keurig machine. The owner , Henry, is the nicest guy ever and does anything possible to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The only thing to note is the trains run 50 feet away and some nights its continuous ... all night along with the the whistles. However its the most economical place close to Stevens pass to stay and we have learned to sleep through the trains in order to be able to afford to stay the night near Stevens pass :)

Definately felt at home here and the whole town of Skykomish was beyond beautiful and friendly. I would suggest this place to anyone wanting to get out in nature. Even the Cascadia Cafe was over the top! You wouldnt be disappointed with the sandwiches or burgers and the salmon dinner special was just right. Wonderful waitresses and great staff. I didnt see them boating gourmet dining although it was nothing less! 5 stars +

First off, a disclaimer, this place is no Hilton. So if breath mints on your pillow and bellhop service are a must, this is not the place for you. However, if a quaint, peaceful atmosphere with an owner who makes every effort to accomadate and welcome you is your desired destination, look no further than Cascadia Inn. Incredibly polite staff, good food at the diner, and awesome views of the surrounding mountains round out a very enjoyable stay. The rooms, while not lavish, leave nothing to be desired, and while some may be wary of the bathrooms being "down the hall" I can assure you theres nothing to fear. Even with the facilities being communal in nature, they are roomy, clean and offer PLENTY of privacy. If youre ever in the area, do yourself a favor, and rent a room from Henry, you will be glad you did.

I stayed at the Inn with my husband for 2 nights (2/2016). The Inn is really neat, especially if you like places with a little history to them. The Owner and staff were super friendly and welcoming. The food in the Cafe is delicious. I liked the trains that went by, however my husband found them difficult to sleep through. I guess it depends on what kind of sleeper you are. We both agreed that we would stay again though. So the trains must not have been that bad.

GREAT little place and very inviting for snowboarders. Its not a major chain so dont expect anything like it. More like staying at your Aunt and Uncles place in the country. Stayed here and 15 min from Stevens Pass Ski Area. Has a great Cafe for breakfast, try the Train Wreck, and a nice little locals bar down the street. If you just want out in the country for a day it would be hard to beat this place. You want room service and high end keep looking.
