We went there on a Monday night. Dollar oysters from Assateague. Wife got the seafood gumbo $28. I got the seafood stew $32.I liked hers a little better than mine. I didnt care for the tails being on the shrimp in mine, but that is a personal thing.Overall very good. Parking is probably tight during the season.
Good food. Hostess was welcoming and helpful to get us seated quickly. Our waitress made some great recommendations which were excellent choices. Definitely worth a try.
October 4, 2022. It was cold and windy out, so we could not sit on the beautiful deck. It was clean and airy inside. My husband and I met a friend for dinner. We all enjoyed our meals: salmon, seafood gumbo (spicy but good), and scallop and crab imperial. We all had the key lime pie for dessert, very good! The waitress was pleasant and attentive.
Great mix of locals and outta towners. Staff was moving, we especially enjoyed the bartenders while we waited to be seated.Menu pleased our group of 6 and the scenery was beautiful.
Amazing views, location, and service. Food was good. The crab deviled eggs and muscles appetizer were excellent. I could’ve had the muscles as a meal with some extra bread. The fried whole belly clams were disappointing though, which is why only four stars.
We got the crab deviled eggs-amazing. Best muscles I’ve ever had! Delicious fried jumbo shrimp and orange cake. Beautiful views, nothing to not love about this restaurant. We had an amazing server named George who was very nice and accommodating!
Great cocktails, big menu with something for every seafood lover, and it does have one option for vegetarians/ vegans who are tagging along that I had and thought was decent. They dont take reservations to a full house so if you dont get one plan on waiting for a seat (but enjoy a cocktail on the water while you do). Stellar views from outside upstairs!
More than 10 years since our last visit and this place didnt disappoint. Friendly and quick service. The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this place. Also, the views of the bay in the afternoon are gorgeous.
Sodel always does a great job but this dish should be taken off the menu, very disappointing. I had the Gumbo, it was a little bit of sauce in a bowl, kind of bland, Topped with 4 cocktail shrimp, 4 scallops (broken into little pieces)and 3 fried oysters(over cookedand grits in a ball in the center. At least try to cook the seafood in the sauce. ** Id like to add to my review, Sodel reached out to me with in 4 hours and that means everything. I changed my review because that alone means they care about service and quality.
If you’re looking for an elevated bar experience in OC, this is your spot. My fiancé and I had a really great meal and great service from Bill and Erin. The food was great, the drinks were fabulous and the atmosphere is perfect. This place is clean, tasty and welcoming. It’s right on the water and the view is great! I would really recommend coming in for happy hour and trying thier oysters and margaritas.
The soup and the deviled eggs were very good. The mussels were good but the sauce was too rich and heavy. The farmer’s bowl was excellent, the shrimp and grit were also very good. The service was fast and efficient.
Lots of hype how great the food is. Nice location, staff very nice. Food was an absolute disappointment. Scallop and crab dinner was like they literally put in a blender and browned bread crumbs on top. Steak flavor good but tough. Bummer, really was looking forward to an amazing meal. And expensive which is fine if it was good. Sorry, I never leave reviews but this was one of worst meals out I have had..
Great seafood and solid raw bar happy hour. Many traditional dishes with a twist. I had the gumbo and it was excellent 👌.
Very tough parking. We sat downstairs by the window with nice view. You have to climb a large spiral staircase for upstairs. After being seated we were told we cant have happy hour there.O.k., they advertise happy hour , but not where we sat ? Garden salad was good. Wine portion was skimpy. I asked for Miller Lt, thought it was draft, but got a can. Menu was very limited, but pricey. Wife got seared tuna which was good. Sister and I got the seafood gumbo. 2 tiny pieces of sausage , scallops were cut up , 4 bland shrimp, found 1 piece of okra, good grits. Not impressed. Tourist restaurant. Too many other good places that feed you better, with great happy hours, for less money around. Then try to get out of that parking lot.
We were the last customers in on our last day in Delaware. Service was stellar and the food was equally stellar as well! Recommended for adults mainly for the selection but there is a kids menu with about 4 or 5 choices. Definitely recommend stopping in!
Came here because sister restaurant’s kitchen “overheated“! Exceptional waitress for dinner and at the bar while waiting to be seated. Nice outdoor waiting area. Selection of 4 kinds of oysters. Steamed clams. Mains: excellent salad, burger and perhaps the best yellow fin tuna I’ve ever had— locally sourced. Nice kids menu— grandson had salmon and fries. Key lime and peanut butter pies for dessert— very good.
Great food! Great atmosphere and view right on the bay. Definitely advise if your looking to go out to eat with family, friends, or date.
The is a racist establishment. Our family and another black couple were kept waiting almost an hour before we were sat down, yet party after party that came in after us were seated. When we addressed this we were met with excuses. After complaining twice we were finally seated “at their only table” yet people who were just coming in were immediately seated and in better spots. In fact someone who came in after us and seated before us, got their entire meals and paid before our waitress even came to our table. We then waited almost an hour for our basic appetizers…while we watched people who came in 45 minutes after us get their entire appetizers AND meals. In total we waited two hours to not even receive our food, because it was 10 pm and we had lost our appetite. We politely asked to cancel our order and pointed out the difference in service and we were given more excuses. If you are person of color, don’t waste your time or money at this establishment.
Pricey but yet the food was bland. The coleslaw and pickled vegetables have no flavors. The crab cakes were under seasoned. The seafood gumbo were heavy on the old bay side. I was disappointed all around except for the calamari but still overpriced.
Great upstairs bar with good views, the staff at the bar and restaurant were friendly and helpful. For dining, the swordfish was quite good and the blackened tuna was about the best weve ever had! A great dining choice we will repeat whenever in the area.
I would give this 10 stars if I could. This has to be one of the best meals Ive ever had. The mussels were amazing. The sauce was to die for. We needed extra bread to eat more of the sauce. Then I got the Scallops and Crab Imperial. Such a rich mustardy sauce that was perfectly balanced by the mashed potatoes and green beans. I tried my sons fish and chips and it was the lightest and flakiest cod. Chefs kiss. (Oh and my son ordered off the kids menu. Fish and chips is the same, just a 3rd piece, for the adult portion. But save room for the Sodel Lime Pie. Im eating that now, so gotta go.
Food was great. They have happy hour 7 days a week in the bar area. Service was good. The only problem is the parking. We havent been here in 15 years. Place use to be terrible. Glad we came back.
Went for happy hour, had to move seating to get the happy hour selections. But the seats on the bay and the service were great, Ryan was our server. Oysters were fresh. Appetizers were very good.
My husband and I enjoyed Happy Hour out on the deck over-looking the water. Our server was attentive and very friendly. The food and drinks really hit the spot! This was our first visit and we look forward to our next.
Absolutely wonderful food and great service. Would highly recommend the homemade sodas. The balcony seating is beautiful, but would not recommend sitting out there after sunset without bug-spray.
The southern fried chicken was unfortunately tasteless as it felt like I was eating nothing. The fries were fine and the mashed potatoes were actually terrible. I did enjoy the beer cheese dip and the bread they served but was unhappy otherwise. Please note, I don’t eat seafood and I would assume that type of food would be better here.
Great view, good food. Excellent service.
Catch 54 is not only a place for good eats, but the building itself is in a beautiful picturesque location that provides remarkable views. The waitress took a little long at the beginning, and the parking lot leaves a lot to be desired, but those arent bad enough not to give this establishment 5 stars. Bravo Sodel!
We only used there boat rental, to go fishing. Dont waste your money. GPS and radio did not work on boat, we were told they just went over the boat to make sure everything was working. They dont have a map to use to find deeper parts of water to fish. Then we did find out the deepest part of water way they alow you to to fish in was 7feet the rest is 3 to 4 feet. Dont waste your time and money here for fishing.
My wife and I went today around five oclock and we we seated right away. Our waitresses name was Maggie and let me tell you she was on top of her game. She was very attentive to our table and took really good care of us. We started with an appetizer of raw oysters they where fabulous. Our entree was grilled swordfish with veggies melody and mash potatoes it was cooked to perfection all except the mash potatoes which I subtracted one star for they were dry and lacked flavor. Desert was also amazing it was some key lime pie that I cant remember the name put it was delicious. It was a really great dining experience. Will differently be going back again.
Don’t be fooled by the reviews, this place is a dine-in nightmare. The restaurant is infested with flies. The ceiling was completely covered in them. My children couldn’t get a bite into their meals without being swarmed by flies. They ultimately couldnt bare the harassment and left their food behind. The food was far below average, especially for the price. I ordered the grilled whole lobster, which arrived burned and chewy. I ate one of the tails and didn’t bother with the rest. It was honestly one of the worst I’ve ever had. I mentioned the flies harassment and the fact that the kids (4 and 6did not touch their meals to the waitress and was not offered a single accommodation. She apologized and charged full price for three mostly untouched meals. There are plenty of seafood alternatives in the area. I would look at this place as a last resort among last resorts.
Im an oceanside girl but the food and the gorgeous nature before me, certainly turned my head. The food portions were plentiful. Grab drinks and pretzel bites during happy hour and sit out on the deck...delicious
My girlfriend and I came here for our last evening in Ocean City for Memorial Day and we were blown away!Even as walk-ins we got the best seat in the house on the dock outside to the sunset. The food and server were excellent! We’ll definitely be coming back here next time we’re in town
I have to say this was the best dining experience of my life! It was mainly because I proposed to my now fiancee. However, the staff did a spectacular job helping me out with it. The food was really good. Their selection of oysters was great and their clams were delicious too. The service was wonderful, she wasnt absent, but she wasnt hovering either. Their fish tasted very fresh. The sea bass was cooked correctly and not over cooked. The prices are fair for the quality of the food. The location is beautiful and it is a good little restaurant. Thank you again to the server who recorded my proposal! Catch 54 made it the best dinner Ive ever had! Most recent time was incredible too! The gumbo was on point. Calamari was superb. The SoDel red blend was great. The waiter George is tops. A real gentleman that will not steer you wrong.
We were initially attracted by the location and the scenery, and then were really amazed by the quality food and the extraordinary customer service! The food we got all taste really good, the portions are on the larger side, and the price is quite reasonable! And yes, the view on the patio is absolutely stunning! we had really enjoyed watching the wild duck chasing in the wet land and people canoeing on the river.I’ve got a few dishes and the Happy Hour specials on my “wish list” and will definitely come back when I’m in town again!
This place is a must go to. The filet mignon melted in my mouth. The wine was very good also.
The Seafood Gumbo was incredible. The Buttermilk Battered Shrimp was light and very tasty. We topped it off with the Sodel Lime Pie which was delicious. Our waitress was very attentive. Definitely returning
The food was amazing. Had the Shrimp and grits, the were hot, fresh, flavorful and you know the rest. The staff and others there were very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant!
10/10.. totally recommended!! Service very nice and quick. The view is beautiful. And the food was absolutely delicious with a lovely presentation. Definitely coming back😊
Delicious seafood holiday dinner! Our first time here, we were seated promptly with reservation and had great service and enjoyed all her recommendations. Food was delicious, we will definitely be back!
Storm is an awesome bartender! The oysters were great, the butternut squash soup was amazing & you cant beat the deviled eggs!!
Excellent service from our bartender! Happy hour menu choices were great. We had the BBQ sliders, mussels and crab and corn chowder. The Buck a Shuck oysters were nice and salty. We will be back!
Wonderful meal and excellent service. The scallops prepared with a pesto base was unique and vibrant. We look forward to coming again!
1st time here at Catch 54.30 minute wait , not bad considering the amount of people waiting.Beautiful views. Service was great, food & drinks very good. Only issue is fans are needed on outside decks.
The view from the upper deck is delightful. The waterways, the variety of birds and the sunset are stunning. The staff are thoughtful, informative, and friendly. This dining experience was the highlight of our week! Make this a priority while in Fenwick.
Love this place, excellent service, views, food and drinks. The oysters were fresh. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their dishes. Me and my husband only had drinks and oysters but we plan on visiting again.
Here for Sunday supper (chowder, sirloin meatloaf and homemade maple ice cream)At the bar and Bill is the bartenderserver! Great, attentive service! Will be back next weekend! :)
Very nice restaurant. Scenic views (see attached pictures).I had a bowl of New England clam chowder. It was delicious, but the portion was smaller than I expected. For my main course, I had the fried calamari appetizer. It was very well prepared, and delicious. The red sauce was a bit watery and not quite red.My wife had the Brussels sprout salad, delicious, and a nice sized portion. She also had the scallops, also delicious and a good portion. Our friends had salmon and cod. They enjoyed their dishes.
This was my second visit to Catch 54 and I loved it even more than the first time two weeks before! The service and food are outstanding and the view is amazing! It is one of my favorite dining venues and as an avid worldwide traveler that is saying a lot!Im looking forward to my next visit soon!
Where to start on this one? Super friendly hostess, outdoor waitress for some pre dining drinks, and wait staff inside was on top of their game also . The decor is most definitely coastal and the views are one of the best in fenwick. The food was prepared quickly, presented well, and this hit flavor town. I would recommend this as a must try if visiting. If your a "local" this must be on your regular dine out options. Sorry the desert plate was devoured before I could capture a picture.Second visit in as many weeks. Everything was phenomenal again.
