Well we visited celestial brides and prom in downtown Johnstown and my daughter said yes to the dress. Sharon was very kind and patient. She made us feel very comfortable. The whole staff was a pleasure to be with. We will definitely be using Sharon’s seamstress for any alterations. She also was a delight to be with. I can’t say enough good things about Celestial Brides & Prom! I was in town from Virginia visiting family & decided to stop in to just take a look at Bridal gowns. Little did I know that they had my DREAM dress. I said yes that day and never looked back. Celestial worked with me from that day up until my wedding day to make sure everything was PERFECT! Not only did they help me find my dream dress but they worked with me through some weight loss and not once did they bat and eye. On my wedding day, I never felt so beautiful and I owe it all to this gorgeous dress that Celestial helped me find & worked with me on for over a year. Celestial has the most personable, kind, and knowledgeable staff. They made finding my dress and fittings so much fun and exciting. I was also very appreciative of how they took the time to teach me how to properly walk and sit in my dress, as well as how to bustle the train. I’ll never forget the experience! Highly recommend!!!!

We came in to find a gown or dress for my daughter’s event. Her band was recently nominated as Best Cover Band by the Central PA Hall of Fame. The women at the store were friendly and helpful without being pushy. They listened to what she had in mind and gave honest feedback as she tried on different gowns. It’s so refreshing to have knowledgeable staff that really want to see someone look their best.

I never thought I would buy a non-returnable wedding gown on line, but after trying the wedding gown at a local shop, and going to my seamstress to see if she could alter it if necessary (I guess all wedding gowns need at minimum the length adjustedand having her confirm my measurements, I called Celestial Brides owner Sharon and spoke with her, she confirmed the measurements and all the details (she was knowledgeable and terrific to work withI placed the order. I originally wanted to buy the dress at the boutique but the difference in price was over $900 dollars savings. Also the dress arrived in the time specified and in impeccable brand new condition.Thank you Sharon for your great customer service. I will add a photo after the wedding :)

Ive been a loyal client of Sharons for the past nine years, and I have never, ever been disappointed! She has the absolute best selection of dresses - from prom to homecoming to wedding. I recently got married, and it was a no-brainer to shop local & return to Celestial Brides for my dress & veil. Sharon has an eye like no other, as she encouraged me to try on many different styles that I normally wouldnt have. As it turned out, her gift brought me to my dream dress! Both she & her amazingly talented seamstress Sharon were extremely accommodating when it came to dress fittings, and I never felt uncomfortable while I was in the shop. They taught me how to properly walk in the dress & gave me tips on how to rock it on my big day. Sharon, thank you so much for making me feel so beautiful on my wedding day!!!

If I could give a lower rating I wouldToday I went to celestial brides to try on wedding gowns and it’s suppose to be a fun butWhen we arrived my daughters and I went in without my fiancé to look at some dressesWe got to the bridal section and the lady that was helping me try on dresses was being rude to my children telling them to not touch anything or even get close to the dresses I went back to try on dresses and I asked the lady if I could have privacy so I could undress alone so I’d be more comfortable and the lady told me no that she has to stay with me and she starred at meThen she later told me that I have a big bottom and top half and she basically called me fatAnd told me to come at a better time because they have nothing but two dresses available for my size and my fiancé was suppose to come back with my daughters and I to give me his opinion on the dresses and so my daughters weren’t bored and they wouldn’t let him back for any reason I mean it when I say I’m NEVER going back.

I will never buy another dress anywhere else but here. Sharon was so nice to me. I went to a few other bridal shops in the area and they were so rude. I came here and couldnt have been treated any better. Even the seamstress was so polite & nice! Thank you so much for being so nice to me. My dress was absolutely beautiful!!

I purchased my gown long distance after trying it on locally; you cant beat the price here and free shipping too! Sharon was incredibly helpful and made sure I was ordering exactly what I wanted. I was blown away when I had my gown in my hands less than two weeks after I ordered it! Thank you so much!

Sharon was fabulous to me. She loves what she does and tries to please you to the best of what reality is. She’s honest, friendly, professional and kind. I’d do it all over again. Truly was an awful experience. The ladies were helpful in finding dresses to try on, but were so impatient. She kept calling me by the wrong name, walked in on me countless times when I was changing, just overall made me feel so uncomfortable. She also said that I had no time left to find a prom dress, and I better buy one from them or I wouldn’t find one anywhere else (claiming that most senior girls buy their prom dresses in November). I went in early March and my prom is in late May... So that same night I went to a different store and bought a dress I loved and tried on dozens more. I work in customer service and the service I received from Celestial was pathetic.

Went in as a walk in. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back the next time I need a dress.

Terriable business practice my friend went there to get a prom dress for her daughter...paid $150.00 down left and within 15 minutes found out that somone else had bought the same dress as her daughter at her school.....this place would not refund the $$$ even tho my friend was going to go back up there and choose another....utterly RIDICULOUS.....it was an extenuating circumstance.....that was devastating to her daughtet....can yoj not imagine having any compassion for yhe girl....👎👎👎👎

Celestial is THE place to shop! I’ve shopped with them since high school for dances, proms, pageants, and appearances. The staff is always so very helpful in helping me pick out my newest addition to my pageant collection, and I️ can always count on the owner, Sharon, to help me choose the the perfect dress for any occasion. Celestial is very professional, as well as welcoming from the time you enter. They ensure that ALL of their customers are happy with what they are purchasing, and provide the best help from fashion experts! It is at the top of my list for shopping!!!

Good dresses

Very helpful, friendly staff! Beautiful dresses to pick from! Was prom dress shopping with my daughter and within 15 minutes she found "the dress"! They were quick to come over and help us search, get her to a room and started trying on the dresses. We will be returning for next years prom as well! Oh and the prices were very reasonable!

They were all so accommodating and went over and above to get my daughters perfect dress on time.. When someone drives personally to a UPS facility to make sure we have our dress for alterations ..that is A++ not to mention helpful and appreciated.

Celestial Brides is absolutely incredible! They helped me find the perfect wedding dress for my December wedding. I couldnt be happier with what Sharon picked out for me. They know, care and understand what the customer is looking for. My dress was everything I pictured and so much more. I live three hours away in Erie, PA and would not gone anywhere else. I was a bit worried about fittings since I couldnt make it to town often, but they worked with me and managed to get it all done in two fittings! It was perfectly altered and beautiful. I couldnt be happier with their services and would highly recommend this business!

I went to Celestial Brides two weeks ago in search of the perfect evening competition gown. From the moment I walked through the door, everyone was warm and welcoming. Then I met Sharon the owner who has a very effervescent personality that I took a liking to right away. She asked me what style and color I was looking for then she and I chose some gowns. Sharon attended to me herself and was very patient! Sharon even had her seamstress, Sharon (who was equally as sweet and vibrant), come in to help us figure out what we could do to make a dress fit even better. What I loved most about Sharon (the ownerwas that she was very honest, it wasnt just about making a sale. In the end, she helped me think outside the box of my idea of what I wanted in a dress. Horrible. I was treated with disdain because I did not want to buy a dress that I did not even like! The sales associate kept shoving dresses down my throat even though I kept telling her that is not the style I liked. It got even worse when I told her I was on a budget. She scoffed at me and made me feel terrible. The owner was just as bad. I not recommend this store to anyone.

Celestial Brides cannot be beat. I visited a few other bridal salons and was not satisfied at all with customer service, with many of the employees distracted by other brides, no private space, a crowded store. It just didnt feel right. As soon as I got to CB, the environment was different. Sharon has a special private space and spends the time for your appointment ONLY WITH YOU, in a closed room. Even on a Saturday, when I went, her busiest day and during prom season, she paid complete attention to me until I found the gown of my dreams (which I did). She is a true professional in the fits of the gown and also in customer service. We had such a lovely time with her and she made me feel so special about my big day! She has an excellent selection, and she is a wonderful person to be around. I highly recommend Celestial Brides.

Our personal consultant treated my daughter and me like royalty as soon as we walked through the door. They carry designer dresses and their tailor makes the dress fit to a T. This is the kind of customer service you dont see anymore. My daughter was delighted and is looking forward to her prom. I have two more girls and Im sure Ill be bringing them here when their prom arrives. I highly recommend Celestial Brides.
