Our cherished dog Luka needed to be put down. I called and arranged immediate service and they were ready with a room when we arrived. We received the best care anyone could have imagined. Our family will be forever grateful for the caring doctor Peck and staff. They even sent us a condolence card. We wanted Luka to have a gentle loving passing and they helped us completely.

I agree with others that they are all about the $$ ive been using them ever since they opened 25+years ago but NO MORE they sedated my dog before I signed the release and therefore he suffered that trauma without getting the procedure. They dont communicate well between the staff and made excuses for their missteps. If I ran the staff when a patient was taken for temp and weight I would require the tech to tell the client what the weight and temp were--it seems only logical without me having to ask as they leave the room. I didnt like being switched to a different dr without notice either it was like starting over. Then she made his condition seem horrid which made me feel guilty not letting them test everything on a 15 yr old dog that was over $900. They certainly need to show more compassion and not worry about generating funds. When treating my mothers animal they said lets try new food, a shot and some medicine-I said thats not good science- how will you know which thing fixed the problem??? She finally agreed but just looked at me. It just kept feeding their cash drawer for ll the special food-THEN when I asked for more pills they say no not until you bring the animal in again!

Very friendly & doc seems smarter than many others in the area. Just make sure you bring plenty of $$. Just remember everything offered is at a price, even if it is just one toenail.

We have been taking our dog to her for 6 yrs. we tried 3 other vets and unhappy with them all. Our pet pulls us in the door when she has to go.

Great n caring staff with outstanding drs.!

I have been here twice and both times they show it is just about money. She doesnt care about your pet. Sent me home paying $300 with 3 different kinds of medications for my cat and the medicine made her worse! I called around comparing prices and this place charges almost double for the medication. She didnt provide me with any reasoning for why my cat was so sick, just pumped her with a bunch of meds. I even got charged $28 for them to give her a shot of water. Thanks ladies.

We were faced with the difficult decision of putting our cat down but the staff here and Dr Hanser herself listened patiently to us and helped us make the best decision for our pet. Dr Hanser was kind and patient and loved on our kitty and let us know exactly what to expect and helped us feel calm with our decision. Ive been to multiple vets in my life and this office was the most humble and professional in my opinion.

Ive been taking my pets to Dr. Hanser for years. Always a good experience! I recently had to put another one of my elderly dogs to sleep and as always she was so compassionate and understanding. She really let me take my time and said I could stay as long as I needed. The staff she has working for her are wonderful too. Everyone is so caring. I will continue to take my fur babies to Dr. Hanser for years to come.💜

One of the most caring compassionate people I have ever met

Dr Hanser saved my dogs life when he was a puppy when the irresponsible breeder wanted to have him put down. Dr Hanser said she would not put him down right then & that she wanted to monitor his condition for the first 24 hours. Stitch, our pug, made a full recovery thanks to Dr Hansers compassion & her staffs amazing care. That was nearly six years ago & Dr Hanser is still his vet along with our two other dogs vet as well. Such great care & love from all of the staff at Central Avenue Animal Clinic!

Dr. Hanser shows compassion to all my pets and is never rushing me or pushing unwarranted and costly procedures. Every appointment lasts a good hour. Shes very thorough and wonderfully gentle with them. She also offers options tailored to your financial situation. The staff is warm and caring as well. The best, the very best in these regions!
