this was my second time back to charlie’s after purchasing a new jeep from them a couple years prior. i had wanted a jeep wrangler for a very long time and had finally put my mind to it. when we arrived at charlie’s we were welcomed by one of the salesmen, Luke. he was very kind and helpful and after a lot of thought process on my end about the right jeep and what would fit my budget, he made my dreams of having a jeep wrangler come true. i couldn’t be more happy with the outcome and i would highly recommend charlie’s to anyone!

The purchasing process at Charlies Jeep was fairly simple and did the staff helped me get what I truly wanted rather than trying to pressure me into something then and there.So far my experiences with their service department (for regular maintenance and one warranty repairhave been positive.Their parts department has been helpful on a few occasions as Ive been modifying my Jeep. I have had to replace a few cosmetic items that I have damaged in the process. (Only concern here is back ordered parts which is outside their control)

Our $52,000 Jeep Cherokee with 6000 miles on it, purchased new from Charlies last fall was dropped off there for repair on August 9th 2022 for electrical issues. Gabe and the service dept have completely failed us returning calls or processing the repairs.I was notified today that they would BEGIN diagnosis of the problem, August 29th 2022, TWENTY days later.Extremely disappointed with Charlies service and their poor representation of the Jeep brand.

I leased a Jeep Gladiator from this dealership recently. Here is my experience.The Good: The Sales Rep that I worked with (Andrew?was excellent. He was very polite, professional, and prompt in his communication. When I arrived at the dealer to test drive the car (I live about an hour away), the vehicle was ready out front, and warmed up for me. He answered all of my questions about the car and was very informative.The Bad: The rest of my experience was not so positive. After the test drive, we "ran the numbers" and I was left in a cubicle for nearly an hour without any kind of update. I had no idea what was going on, what I was waiting for, what the status was, or how long I was supposed to sit there. No one seemed to be able to add clarity to this. Also, the waiting area / showroom was abysmal. There were no comfortable seats (instead, they have a plastic picnic table in the center of their sales floor), no television, magazines, or materials to peruse. I work in the Customer Success industry, and I felt there was a lot of room for improvement. Keep in mind, I was there to lease a brand new vehicle and to give them my business that I drove an hour for. When customers are waiting to finalize a deal on a new vehicle, this is a good opportunity to get a tour of the dealership and service facility; to explain the benefits of working with their company; and to go over the ownership experience of being their customer. There was none of this. The car I purchased has a million accessories available for it...why not try and go over them with me (upsell me?)...I would have taken the bait had they actually hung the lure appropriately. This is a period of time when they can cultivate a relationship with their customer, and it was a completely missed opportunity on their part. It was not a customer-focused experience. Rather, it was impersonal, muddled with confusion, and a lot of time just sitting around without any kind of updates.The Ugly: There are two things here. First, the decorum of the sales floor personnel was not up to par. A lot of standing around, laughing, cursing, and scrolling through videos on their cell phones. If that was my sales floor my head would explode. I couldnt help but wonder how people are actually getting paid to just stand around and scroll through videos out in the middle of the sales floor. It was not in good taste and reflected poorly on the managements oversight. Second, after some negotiating, I had to make the trip a second time to finalize the deal. I was told specifically on the phone that my paperwork was all set and ready to go, and that I would be in and out when I came back. Not the case. More sitting around for two hours without any updates. Eventually, someone told me "maybe we shouldnt have called you back so soon" I almost lost my mind. I explained that I live far away, there was a snowstorm coming, and that Id like to come when everything was ready to go. They did not deliver.For such a big purchase, I was disappointed with the service I received at this dealership and would not continue my business based on my experience. The initial rep was great. He made a solid first impression and was really doing the best he could. The management, however, has a lot of room for improvement.

Our sales Associate Joshua was amazing. This was our second experience in purchasing a vehicle from this gentleman. We would recommend this salesman to our nearest and dearest. He was informative and customer service savvy. The car I test drove was warm and comfortable on a cold Maine night.Joshua explained all of features of the Jeep Wrangler vs my Nissan Rouge.Zach was equally personable. Zach’s presentation of the service warranty and pricing was phenomenal.He was informed and helpful.The lead floor manager. Mike I believe was his name.Dampened our joyful experience with poor service.He appeared uninformed and ill prepared to provide the simplest information on incentives.My husband and I present him with incentives that we had researched ourselves. He was flippant and dismissive. We were eligible for a military incentive.This staff person spent at least 15 minutes explaining why the owners would not allow for negotiations of the sticker price nor negotiate the trade in price. He also explained another customers purchase and he was was unable to negotiate a better sale.I would advise any future customer to check to make sure it was his day off to enjoy their car buying experience.

As soon as we walked in the people treated us like a friend. Generous with their time and answers the customer service at Charlies in Augusta cant be beat. The prices are exceptional..better than any others we looked at. Charlies is my new go-to for vehicles.
Our company was told we could purchase a vehicle at MSRP. Upon hearing that we are out of state they decided the car was now 5 thousand dollars more with no reason given. We had our own transportation and there was no extra work on their end. After the manager hung up I decided a review was necessary. Seems like they just wanted to wring our pockets last minute because we arent local.price dis·crim·i·na·tionnounthe action of selling the same product at different prices to different buyers, in order to maximize sales and profits.Price discrimination is made illegal under the Sherman Antitrust Act.
I would actually give them no stars!! Their service sucks. Told I had 8 am appointment the 29th called at 2 pm to tell me technician had to leave...6 hours and never looked at my car. Was then told I would have an answer before 12 pm the 30th. I had to call them at 3 pm just to be told AGAIN my car had not been seen. GET IT TOGETHER PEOPLE!! Very very unsatisfied should have taken my car to South Portland where they are actually trustworthy and know how to communicate and get the job done. Lesson learned never to trust anything to this company!!!
They did everything I scheduled an appointment for I was just disappointed they didnt wash it after service ..I do know the car wash was open that morning even thou it was raining...

After 15 years of reasonably good service and 6 new cars .. we are finished with Charlie’s .. Jeep service department think they are Rock stars .. check engine light and car running rough .. so for simple computer diagnostic NEEDS a TO WAIT Almost 3 weeks .. “oh we are very busy!! “ Charlie has failed to deliver on his commitments to service .. how did they let this place sink so low.. probably worst keep service department in New England ..
Always easy to schedule appointment, done when promised or ready to provide resolution to problems found. Friendly and does truly make me feel like family.

I have always had great luck with Charlies. They also helped me out a lot when I needed to have work done to my car with a loaner car and communicated right with my insurance company to make it easier for me. So far I have purchased three vehicles from Charlies and I dont see that stopping!
My experience started when I decided to buy my vehicle there it was fantastic no problems .first time ever with a dealership everyone was great .But my real experience started in the service department I couldnt believe how good I got treated I was thinking to myself how could this service dept be so good as busy as they are .the service department is second to none exceptional service ..Heidi is the service manager and knows what shes doing shes fantastic ..and the mechanics know exactly what there doing they put other garages to shame in my experience ...good job to everyone at Charlies and thank you .
Devon is a new sales person at Charlie’s Jeep but he did fantastic job. He didn’t pressure us and he was extremely professional. We didn’t buy the car we wanted today but hopefully we will tomorrow!
Excellent customer service!!!!! I have bought numerous vehicles from them and have always been happy with the process. As always they lived up to my expectations. The only reason I cant not give them 5 stars at this time is because there were several times that I went there to try out cars and the sales department and managers were not wearing masks. This made me a little uncomfortable so I just waited outside.

I lease a car through Charlies and unfortunately it has needed quite a bit of service for a routine issue. I have been seen 13 times in the past 2 years and Judy, who I have worked with every time is such a warm presence when I arrive. Always smiling, always willing to listen and always always offering actual help. It is for her service alone that I choose to return to charlies time after time.
Service for 5k oil/filter change & tire rotation was quick & easy. Waiting room was immaculate, and a guy came in and cleaned while I was there. I highly recommend Charlies.

Great sales, great attitude, love their customers.. service dept only open til noon on Saturday.. tough for those outside Augusta needing to travel.. weekdays dont work for service unless you live in Augusta area.. and getting a Saturday morning appt is a long line..
We were on vacation when the gear assembly in our 2017 manual transmission Jeep Wrangler broke. We called and spoke to Darrell Bowie and explained our predicament. Darrell made us an appointment for the very next morning for the diagnosis, despite their already jammed schedule. We were provided with a similar Jeep rental, seamlessly, for the day and overnight while our part was ordered and installed, per the manufacturer warranty. Our experience couldn’t have been smoother. Darrell did an outstanding job of communicating with us and making sure we knew we were being taken care of and in good hands.
Love them! Had a issue with my brakes and they fit me in and fixed it same day! And even had a rental at a decent price i could use. The day before 4th of July as well. Way to go guys!

Had a check engine light come on weeks ago on my vehicle. I called up the service department and they scheduled me an appointment. I dropped my vehicle off in the morning and i was able to rent a car from them under my warranty. They called me a few hours later and said my car was finished being worked on and told me what was fixed. The guy was very helpful in service department and even said I can go to the show room if I am not back before 4:30 pm and get the keys back to my vehicle. I would recommend charlies motor mall.
I have been buying here for 20 years for a reason. I shop around but always end up purchasing here. The service department is excellent too.
