Compass Preschool & Child Care in Salt Lake County

Make sure your children want to attend before signing them up or paying a deposit. Unfortunately, my children didn’t want to attend after the first day. We were stuck paying for 4-weeks of care (roughly $2,000). Hopefully, this review saves someone else from making the same mistake we did.

My oldest has attended compass for over 3 years and my youngest has been going since she was 3 months old. I would absolutely recommend them to everyone. There is very little turnover with teachers, which was very hard for me find anywhere else. The teachers are amazing and they all genuinely care about the kids. Both of my littles ones are happy to go to school everyday and always have fun stories about what they did that day.

My son is so happy here. I cant begin to tell you how wonderful it is for your child to be excited about daycare everyday. He talks about his teachers and his friends constantly.

My son has been enrolled in Compass daycare and preschool for over two years now. As a single mom I rely heavily on Compass so I can work and also have extra help with my young one. He has learned so many things, has made many friends and countless memories. The teachers are so wonderful, they work hard, they multitask and they are on top of communication!

The best preschool! I was having trouble finding child care for my little guy, I only needed one day and week and not many places offer that. I toured a few places and knew immediately after touring Compass that’s where we would go! I love the curriculum and the activities they do. The teachers are so great and amazing with communication. I feel comfortable leaving him in their care all day. As a new mom as well that was always a little worrisome but I have never had a worry with Compass Preschool. We have been enrolled here for years and will be leaving soon when my little guy starts kindergarten and I know he will be so sad because he loves going to school, he loves his teachers, and he loves all the friends he has made. Thanks for making preschool such a great experience for me (a first time momand for my son.

Compass doesn’t have the turnover you see at some other centers, which is so important to make my daughter feel safe & happy at school.

As new parents to daycare we were expectantly nervous to start our little one in daycare this past January. But the caregivers at Compass made us feel so welcome and our little one so loved that it took all our fears away.

Our son has been at compass for over a year and we’re very happy. He is always happy to go to school and talks so positively about his teachers. All of the teachers always seem engaged and happy to be there. He comes home with different works and activities and pictures are sent showing all the activities they do during the day. He’ll be doing swim class with them 3x/week in the summer!

My child has been at Compass for 3 years now. He loves it, all his teachers and friends, and especially all the fun holiday parties they throw along the way, with pj day, picture day, bring toy day... They run their business very cleanly, with consistency and care, and their new communications system is simple and easy on my phone. I highly recommend this cute neighborhood day center.

Compass is a really great place to leave your child. The attention those little ones receive is great, and the adults really care for their well being. Our little one loves going to daycare every day, and he is always having fun. We love it.

Weve been coming for over a year. My kids both love school. I really love knowing that they go and have so much structure, socialization, and education. I feel like the teachers there genuinely love their jobs.

Our 2 year old daughter absolutely loves school! She has been attending Compass Preschool full-time for almost a year. We love seeing how happy she is when we drop and pick her up. They provided a nurturing, safe, and happy place for our daughter. Words cannot express how much we appreciate Compass Preschool and all of the teachers there.

We love Compass and their amazing teachers! My 2 and a half year old and 1 year old have been going for about 6 months now. The staff are absolutely amazing and genuinely care about our kids. Since taking our toddler to Compass his vocabulary has grown and improved so much. We started potty training about 3 months ago and it went more smoothly than I thought it would. I know thats because of Compass and the attention they give him. You cant find better care than Compass!

Great center with awesome teachers who made our 3-year old feel welcome. I know he loves it because he runs in every morning and asks if he can stay when we pick him up!

Compass Preschool and Childcare has been by far our most loved place to take my child for the great care we have received. Ms. Maria has gone above and beyond in my child’s preschool class to provide the best possible care for her. They also offer such an amazing curriculum! All the teachers, staff, Mrs. Andrea and all of her assistants go above and beyond to make sure their students are well loved and have the best possible learning environment, they always make it comfy!

Hands down the best child care center you can find! Both my daughters started there when they were 8 weeks old and now they are 1.5 and 6 and they both continue to go there. You will not find better teachers who care, strive to teach and love your children like their own any where else.

My daughter has been attending Compass for over five years. In that time I have always found the teachers helpful, kind, and most importantly loving towards my little girl. They answer each and every one of my questions and always get back to me in a timely manner. Leaving your child for 40 plus hours a week is extremely stressful on every parent and I could not have chosen a better place for her. The friendships and experiences she has gained while being there are invaluable. I have always and will continue to recommend Compass to anybody who asks where I take my child.

This daycare is absolutely AMAZING! I adore every single teacher that works here. They have gone above and beyond for me multiple times and worked with me in keeping a consistent routine for my children. I highly recommend this daycare and would never take my kids anywhere else!

I loved my kiddos teachers, they were so great with him. The director however, Andrea, is not willing to work with families when there are family plans that change, unless it benefits her/Compass.When we started Compass, the drop notification was 2 weeks, which changed to 30 days half way through our time there. My family had to move out of state, immediately, due to my husbands job. I notified we were leaving and asked about a credit week as my son was leaving soon, he would not be there for 2 weeks of the paid 30 day notice. I was declined his credit week because it is a “courtesy” and at the “discretion of the director,” per Andrea, the Director.I donated multiple bags and boxes of items and even referred a fully time family to the center (we were part timeand there was no “courtesy” extended. My son has also missed a total of 4 weeks total due to sick and vacations, so 4 weeks of paid care where they weren’t caring for him. Also, does not say this information in the handbook, that credit week can not be used in a drop period.Andrea was able to make room for my daughter at the last minute, sure, anything for her financial gain. As soon as it was a week of pay taken away, it’s at the “discretion of the director.”Extremely disappointed with how Andrea handled this situation and how the choices were made for her/compass financial gain.

The ladies here are wonderful. My son loves it and they are so willing to work with him. He is in the daycare currently but I hope he can continue on to pre-school here one day.
