Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant in Will County

My husband and I had lunch and dinner at lynnhaven. We then went for a tasting and i really enjoyed it more than usual. Janet takes the time to show you how to truly appreciate wine. She asks your taste and she helps you to explore which wines are good for you. She is excellent and truly is knowledgeable.

Went here for a birthday dinner and it was better than expected. The free wine tasting was a nice touch. The appetizer that we got was the southwest egg rolls and they were actually some of the best Id had at a restaurant. For the entrees we had steak with fries and a fish dish with a rice medley. The entrees were awesome but I do wish they had a wider selections. In a higher end restaurant I expected to see lamb on the menu but there was none. The menu, in my opinion, was definitely lacking creativity. But maybe they have perfected the items they do have because the food was delicious. The dessert menu was also lacking, we had the crème brûlée, which was very good and the chocolate cake. The cake was just blah...much too much chocolate which made it so rich that each bite required a drink of water. Over all it was a good experience, Id go back.

I’ve been here a few times now. The wine tasting is fun and stands out from most due to the menus showing the many different flavors in each tasting. I think it makes it fun. The restaurant is clean with good vibes. Their desert chocolates are amazing. The food is delicious. The Brussels sprouts are worth trying! They melt in your mouth.

I am so glad my friend told me about this place. I had a private dinner party here and I can’t put in words how wonderful everything was. From the food to the service it was so awesome. I can’t wait to go back. The chicken egg rolls and chicken potsticker appetizers were sooooo good. If you like seafood, the salmon and the shrimp & scallop risotto were delicious. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. If you have an issue with your food, they are on top of it and go out of their way to make sure that each person has a great time. This place is great for couples, families, and any event you may want to have.

I normally do not write reviews but I had to rate this one! Everything about Cooper’s Hawk is wonderful from the food (the best shrimp and scallop risotto I have ever had to the first time I ever had grouper it was cooked to perfection, matter of fact everything that hit our table was great starting with the warm pretzel breadto the music playlist was banging and the overall ambience of the restaurant was great also. there is nothing that I could see negative about it and I cannot wait to return and try other locations. I would recommend this to anyone for any occasion, a birthday, girls night out, business, anniversary, whatever the reason this restaurant would be a great choice. The server kaylene was great. The wine selections and tasting room were marvelous. If you haven’t been here I would recommend it! I can’t wait to return and/or try another location!!

Food was amazing!! My favorite part was the lady who checked us out when we bought wine. She was so thorough and explained all the details of the wine club, something the other 2 people we encountered didnt do.

Went for a girls night out and literally everything we ordered was 💯 Highly recco the crispy Brussels sprouts, southwestern egg rolls and The Prime, which was THE best French dip I’ve ever had. The wine was great too, did the sweet tasting and absolutely loved the Romance Red, tastes like you’re drinking grape jelly 🤤 Our server was very attentive, only have great things to say about this place and can’t wait to go back! 😋

Went to dinner last night with a friend and need I say, dessert was exquisite, the entree was delicious …but my crab and lobster bisque soup should probably be named: carrots and shrimp. No lobster and no crab.

I had the pleasure of having Amy M as my server. My hubby and I decided to have a birthday lunch and share our dishes today. Amy had the chefs prepare our meals on separate plates where we were able to share both of our entrees. Amy was knowledgeable, paid attention to our needs, and honestly, knew what we needed when we didn’t. If you go to Coppers Hawk in Va Beach, please ask for Amy. She is absolutely phenomenal!! Thanks Amy for making my birthday lunch one to remember!

I’d rate this place 5 stars for dine-in and 1 star for takeout.When I ate here with my husband it was delicious and fresh. However, every single time I’ve ordered takeout the fries have been cold and stale (about 5-6 times). I talk to the managers and they’re nice and seemingly helpful but nothing changes, the next time I order the fries are inedible again. Even when I call to request fresh fries. The one time they weren’t, I called and demanded to speak to the manager and they made sure the fries were fresh but the staff have never managed that. I’m definitely done trying. I’d still eat in the restaurant but I’d never order takeout from here again. The fries actually taste as though they were cooked, went cold, were reheated and went cold again. I can’t even explain how disgusting they are and we live 2 minutes down the road so there is no way that’s the problem.

Great restaurant! Food is tasty and thoughtfully composed. Staff is knowledgeable if you are not familiar with their wines.

If you are a lover of wine or just great food, Coopers Hawk Winery & Restaurant in Lynnhaven Loop is top notch. We usually request Nicole for our server for her exemplary service.That along with their wine club/rewards program just cannot be beat! Check it out .

I want to say it is always an enjoyable experience at this restaurant. However, about two weeks ago their service was exceptional! Due to last minute change in plans our party number kept changing and I consulted with the event coordinator who was patience and organized. She not only took my million calls but was professional. The day of I arrived earlier then our reserrvation to setup the engaged couple table and the staff was extremely nice. I was able to use modest decor and the staff made me feel welcomed. Our server was AMAZING!!! He was tall, skinny and brown skin. (I didnt get his name but want him to get creditHe had bread, butter, water, lemons and menus on the table before we even sat down. Thank You Coopers Hawk for making lunch exceptional!

Last night was the second time my wife and I went to Coopers Hawk and each time was underwhelming. The service was not great and the food was so-so. Upon being seated it took a long time for our server to come by, a table next to us got seated and served after we did which was frustrating. The restaurant is kept really cool, the A/C is constantly pumping icy air which wasnt terribly comfortable. Our dinners finally arrived, I ordered the braised beef short rib with mashed potatoes. I had asked my served about the potatoes and she said they were whipped but mine were more a rough smash. The meat itself was not fall apart tender as I had hoped, rather it I ended up having to cut it with my butter knife. My only plus is the wine was very good, Id go back to buy some but never again to eat.My wife and I get about one date night a month and we dropped nearly $150 for the experience. Coopers Hawk disappointed us for the last time.

We were looking for something different from the chain restaurants and found a delightful winery for lunch near Lynnhaven mall.We arrived before the lunch crowd. By the time we left the wine tasting bar was busy as well as the dining areas. They have their own reserve blend and many wines and gift items for saleOur waiter John was very friendly. We had the drunken shrimp appetizer which I highly recommend. It was delicious. Our chicken sandwich and brisket sandwiches were both excellent.There were many interesting choices on the menu. The desserts were very tempting but we were too full from our meal to try them.

Coopers Hawk Winery offers a great elevated casual menu with a very relaxed atmosphere.Trevor was our server and he was fantastic! He helped us select a few tastes of different wines based off our personal preferences before we found the right wine. He was witty & attentive.We started w/ the egg rolls which had a delicious dipping sauce. Although I love crisp cabbage and Asian slaw I felt it was conflicting with the south west flavors of the egg rolls. - Both as separate components were super tasty!The short ribs were the star! Melt in your mouth amazing!Ending our night with decadent truffles really sealed the deal - yes please!All & all it’s safe to say we enjoyed the atmosphere, the staff, the wine & the food.

What can I say? Well, the ambiance was definitely there. Staff was very welcoming and professional. First time going, didnt realize it was a fine dining, craft kitchen restaurant, so I was not dressed up, but that didnt matter, everyone was welcomed. Best thing to do is book a reservation, but if you didnt, walk-ins are welcomed, might have to wait for a table or sit in the bar area to the right at a booth or high top, definitely depending on space availability. The food was exquisite, the sommelier has done an amazing job pairing each wines, spirits and beers to each of the menu items, they do have non-alcoholic beverages as well. Perfect place to go to get a belly full of food and flights of wine that run pretty cheap for the quantity of wine you receive. Thank me later. Definitely coming back for another top tier experience.

Being at Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant is amazing. Great customer service! Being here is like watching a well oiled machine. You see how smooth and efficient everyone works, with each other and around each other. I definitely recommend this place! Tori, Cory, Kayleigh are amazing bartenders! Couldn’t have asked for a better evening

Every experience I have at CH has been excellent. The wait staff is always pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant, even on a Monday, was bustling with people. The wait staff brings out the bread and it is on! They dont judge me when I want a second roll... Lol! My family likes sweet wines and their selection is very good. In fact I believe their wine taste better in the restaurant than at home. Now the food has always been great from the salmon, shrimp and scallops, barramundi, to the short ribs. Not a complaint from me. The only thing I would say is get their early, especially on the weekend, so you can find good parking.

What a great meal. 06/27/22I had the fillet with mashed potatoes. It was so good. Cooked rare. My mom got chicken with pasta in a lemon sauce, awesome. Had the chocolate cake for dessert.

The food was so delicious- especially Chef Mike’s incredible onion rings! The fish was light and tasty, and the Asian lettuce wraps were fabulous. We really enjoyed the wine of the month. Our server, Jackson, was friendly, accommodating, and efficient. We highly recommend!

First time I went here a few years back I wasnt impressed at all. However after revisiting today I would give a solid 4.5. I had the pork belly tostadas...the eggrolls...tortilla soup and the roasted chicken risotto. Everything was really good. A bit under staffed but they managed all right. I was accidentally brought the wrong risotto but I was offered the soup while I waited for them to fire a new risotto.

Beautiful weather enjoyed the outside patio. Great food. Crab and lobster bisque. Baked parmesan shrimp scampi. It was ok. I will tell you there are only five shrimp. I would have been giving four stars but then.... the best blueberry lemon cake I have ever had. I almost ordered one to go. Would have gave 10/10 because of the cake.

We came here on a Friday night before our dinner reservation elsewhere and got a seat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly! I ordered the Bubbly Flight and my mom ordered the Masters flight. My brother ordered the craft Ale. The beer was very good, flavorful and easy to drink - very refreshing for a hot day. For the bubbly flight, I really enjoyed the prosecco as you could really taste the lime and lemon with the hint of sweetness from the honey at the end. I did also like the Moscato as it wasnt too sweet. My favorite is still the Almond sparkling. It has a great almond flavor and is absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend coming here!

Wine tasting was good. The food was ok. I ordered the braised rib risotto. The braised rib had no flavor. We would go back for the wine tastings.

Great restaurant atmosphere was amazing music was great and it wasn’t that loud so you can still hear everyone . Wine was good steak was okay I’ve had better, I do recommend giving this restaurant a try you will enjoy the experience 👍🏼

It was me and my husbands first time at Coopers Hawk. The service was amazing. Veronica made sure we knew what set this restaurant and winery apart from the rest. She was very helpful and knowledge of the menu. And because of her amazing service and making us feel at home, well be back.

Coopers Hawk Winery & Restaurant has created an exquisite dining experience!Jackson was our server for the evening and his attentiveness, knowledge and customer service was some of the best I have come across (this man should lead a workshop or something).Next, is the food. Every item on the menu has a wine to pair with it, that way your taste palette gets every flavor possible (pro tip: pick your food first then go with the chefs recommendation for the wine to go with it).Lastly, the restaurant created an atmosphere that encouraged conversation and good times with those who are special to you.My only complaint is there wasnt more "Gooey Queso & Chorizo Fundido" in the cast iron skillet.

Always enjoy the food & drinks at Cooper’s.Cant go wrong with the flatbread & Brussel sprouts for appetizers.

The prices are all very high. But the atmosphere and the food is way above Virginia Beach standards. If you like Hilltop, you will love it here. Again, don’t forget about the price. Not something you should or could do every week.

I love this experience. The wine tasting is always excellent. The service is great. I just wish there were more options for vegetarians. I am tired of the few items that I can choose from when I dine there (sure do miss the butternut squash gnocchi). Since I am a member, I am there every month and the food choices for me are getting monotonous. Hope to see more variety soon. Overall, this place is worth the visit.

Loved everything about this experience. From mandatory reservations to the layout of the building. Everything and everyone was very thoughtful and made this a pleasurable first visit. Learned about their wine club and tastings and will definitely be back to experience that. The lighter fare menu is awesome. Overall, amazing service, food, and atmosphere.

Awesome first time experience. Atmosphere was welcoming and very hospitable. Staff was kind and friendly. Jenna was our server and she provided an outstanding service. Was happy that there was a kids menu and my daughter enjoyed their Flatbread pizza as well. We started with the Asian Pork Belly Tostadas. It was very well balanced getting the Asian and Latin flavors to mix and stand apart for a pleasant taste. I had the Leonard Burger. It was a good portion and had great flavoring. It paired well with their Coopers Hawk Ale. The ale was crisp and refreshing, recommend for those that enjoy Blue Moon. Wife had their Braised Short Rib Risotto. Risotto was just the right portion and reminded me of a Risotto I had in Sicily but with the added braised short rib, it elevated the dish. The white truffle oil was enjoyed in every bite. So happy my wife let me finish her plate.Definitely worth coming back. If I dont get the Risotto myself and probably with a glass of wine, other dishes were definitely eye catching and going to try.

The environment was great! We made reservations and were seated immediately upon arriving. The restaurant had a nice, chill vibe. I ordered the turkey burger. It wasnt seasoned enough for my taste. I also ordered the island mojito and smores dessert. Both were delicious! I do plan to dine here or at one of their other locations soon!

Fantastic food and wine! Everything we had was delicious, wine menu is extensive as you would expect. Wife and I did a couple of great wine flights, pretzel bread is unique and good, and they split our Cesar salad for us. Brussel sprout appetizer and pork chop and carbonara entrees were fantastic! Finished off with truffle of the month and smore item for dessert. Definitely plan on going back and would absolutely recommend!

This place was absolutely awesome. I ordered the parmesan chicken meal and Cesar salad for my daughter and I to share to go. We also got pretzel bread complimentary. I didnt think to take a picture of the food before eating and wish I had. I did manage to get a glimpse of the salad. This was one of the best salads Ive ever had. It was so fresh. The dressing was tangy. The croutons were bits of their pretzel, which by the way was so soft and scrumptious with their butter. The chicken was moist and flavorful. I found 4 near my home area in DC. I cant wait to venture to one of them when I get back home.

Well, Ive been a wine club member since 2017 when I resided in Richmond and I was a tad bit nervous about them opening a Virginia Beach location, however those worries quickly faded away.We started with the seasonal option, The Candied Bacon & Artisan Cheeses Board. It was so flavorful and perfectly displayed. Not to mention the bacon was thick, which is the only way I enjoy my candid bacon.My husband decided on the classic, Drunken Shrimp, which we devoured before even getting a picture. & yes, they are deveined. Followed by the Caprese Flatbread which was delicious and left us wanting to try more items.For my entree I selected the Prime Churrasco Grilled Steak medium, which was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I am pretty picky when it comes to my steaks, so I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. My husband selected the Salmon Piccata with pasta. He thoroughly enjoyed it and didnt have a bite remaining.Amy was our waitress and was kind, well-informed, and attentive! She transitioned our visit from amazing food to an amazing experience.Highly recommend! If you have time, I would add on a wine tasting to get an idea of what you would like to take home!

First visit here and it was very nice. Only two out of the four of us were into wine, but they loved it. I though everything on the menu looked interesting and my choice of Parmesan Crusted Shrimp Scampi was a winner. And attentive staff.

This place is terrific. We cant wait for a location in California. A wine tasting area and a full sit down restaurant and a full bar. The bread was very good and the food was better. The "barrel" wine was perfect. So the wife had the Bourbon Braised Ribs. And I had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken. The cool menu has great wine suggestions for each entree. So its an almost guaranteed perfect pairing every time. We couldnt even think of desert because we cleaned our plates. Back to the bread, kind of brioche but more pretzel on the outside. I had a small hint of sea salt with some bites, so Im going to make up a word and go with pretzel-ish. Watch out Mortons and Mastro, Coopers Hawk is coming for you.

Delicious experience from beginning to end! Our waitress was wonderful, however she was juggling a lot at once as it obvious that they are short-staffed. I can see why because they are very busy due to an awesome atmosphere! Vast wine list. They allow a sample of anything that is bottled. We ended up having the Sweet Blend wine. It was wonderfully flavorful and full-bodied. They also offer a wine club; which we joined! Very well portioned food. We had the Ginger Salmon it was very moist. It is served with a side of Asian Slaw and dances on your palate. The pretzel bread that they serve is warm and soft and melts in your mouth. They are very generous with it. Their prices are very reasonable considering the quality of food they serve. The staff was friendly and welcoming from beginning to end. Definitely some place you do not want to go under dressed. Business casual is appropriate. Thank you for bringing fine dining back to Virginia Beach Coopers Hawk Winery!

We visited Coopers Hawk and had a great time. The bacon wrapped shrimp was delicious!!!! All the food we had was so good, but nothing compared to having the decanter on our table. That was my favorite part. We actually ordered a second bottle of wine just so we could pour it in ourselves. Hahahaha. We will return and recommend to others. A fun night out whether youre just in the mood for good food or its a celebration. There were parties in fancy dress and others in jeans. Lots of diversity in attire!!!

My wife has been here a few times on girls nights and she really enjoyed it, so she made reservations for us tonight so I could try it out.I was thoroughly impressed with everything. Nice atmosphere, amazing food, friendly staff and just an over all nice vibe. We will be back again for sure.We tried and shared a few appetizers and both of our meals so we could take in as much as possible. The Flatbread steak and drunken shrimp were both amazing. We were too full to eat desert but ordered some to take home. Try this place out if you havent been!

During my visit home, family introduced me to this wonderful place. We enjoyed the experience and ambience of the restaurant. Lovely decor and and loved the openness of the restaurant. Outside dining also available. Awesome selection of wines, but I am a sweet wine lover and loved all that I tasted. I went home with 3 bottles of wine. Theres a reward program that is nice, but I dont live close by and no shipping available for Delaware. Waitress was kind and thoughtful. Food was amazing. Cant wait to visit again.

My husband and I have heard great things about Cooper’s Hawk so we decided to make reservations via Open Table. When we arrived they quickly pulled up our reservations and seated us. Cameron was our server. He was such a delight to have. He was very attentive and personable. Our drinks and food came out very quick and fresh. Our drinks were never left empty.I really didn’t have any expectations for their food as I understood this place to be very wine focus. However, they exceeded my exception with their food. For our appetizers we got the Asian Ahi Tuna Sashimi, super delicious and a big enough appetizer to share with more than two people. For the entree we got Filet Mignon and Soy Ginger Atlantic Salmon both were cooked well and very delicious. For dessert, we ordered Key Lime Pie and Salted Caramel Creme Brûlée. I recommend the Key Lime over the Creme Brûlée.For drinks I ordered a flight of Bubbles it included Cooper Hawk’s Sparkling, Rose,Prosecco and Almond Sparkling. I didn’t like anything but the Prosecco. To be fair, I am not a big wine drinker/ enthusiast and Prosecco is my favorite. I do like that they offer multiple flight options on their menu. My husband ordered the American Mule cocktail, he really enjoyed his drink.We did not get to experience the wine bar as it was reservation only. Cameron told us that the wine bar reservation fill up very quick. For wine lovers, I definitely recommend reserving the wine bar as it is an experience I’m sure everyone would love. They also offered all guest the ability to taste the wine of the day for free.Overall, this place exceeded my expectation with their service and food. I would recommend this for date nights, girls night, couples dinner date, adult birthday celebrations.
