Don’t call yourself a “hospital” if you don’t take emergencies or walkins. You’re just a regular vets office…

Island animal hospital was able to get my cat in much sooner than any other vet when she wasn’t eating and had a suspected tooth issue. They found the problem right away and gave me a price range depending on what they find while she was under anesthesia. Not only did they find that several teeth had to be extracted, but it cost much less than I though. So far my cat is healing well and I know once fully healed, she will be much better off thanks to the work of the people here. Thank you for taking care of my baby!

I had a lovely experience here this weekend. Everyone from the young man in reception to the nurse and the doctor were kind and caring with my dog.

Island Animal has taken very good care of my fur babies for the last few years that Ive been taking them there.

Amazing staff, they are great at what they do (: I brought my dog to get her established with a vet and she was treated with a lot of care and everything was explained very well to me.

Everyone always does a great job with my dogs every time we are there. I just wanted to thank Dr Coris for researching what tests my dog needed for surgery and not charging me for things that were not needed. She didn’t have to but she understands the price of the surgery will be enough to conquer.Thanks again for everything you do!Lisa Clark

Had an appointment with a tech for my cat. Appointment went quickly was in and out. Not sure this has anything to do with the veterinary practice but I do think this speaks to the quality of people that work there. When I went to leave the parking lot I had car trouble. All of the staff was very kind and one of them even sat in my car to steer it while I pushed it into a parking spot. They even offered to keep my key to hand to the tow truck driver so I could leave when my ride showed up since I had my cat. Definitely recommend them.

Just moved here and needed a new vet for my cockapoos ear infections and In general. They made the experience amazing and the staff complimented my little girl the entire time we were there. We are very strict as our pup is quite literally our child. So glad they have made the move to this area so smooth as finding a new vet was one of my biggest worries, as our last vet back home was amazing as well. The entire place is also extremely clean and very spacious. I cannot remember the name of our tech or the vet we saw (bad memorybut they were amazing. Thank you all for a great first experience! :)

This office is amazing. Had to bring in my little tyrant for eating something she shouldn’t have. They were able to get me in and diagnose right away and get her taken care of. Thank you for making her a priority and getting her back on track.

These people are NOT compassionate. A couple of years ago we had to put our beloved dog to sleep, all they cared about was getting their money first. Then I called them yesterday because I thought I was going to lose my other dog and at this point I was calling every vet around me to get her in and they could hear how sad I was but they told me they couldn’t get me in although my dog was getting extremely sick and bleeding quite a bit and they turned me away

We have seen Dr. Matt Coris since he started with Island Animal Hospital and could not be happier that he and the team are there for our pets. The time spent evaluating and explaining with each visit, whether is it a well check-up or an illness/injury is generous. I never feel rushed or that my questions were not answered. There is always a follow up call from Island Animal Hospital to see if the treatment plan is on track and to check on the patient. If you have any questions, Dr. Coris sets aside time to call and discuss it with you. Any interaction with the other Veterinarians and staff has always been positive.

Dr.Brady and Diamond are the best! I always feel so welcome here, and they are really helpful. I highly recommend this vet!

So happy with the whole team that works here and especially Samantha and Dr. Brady. Sam always makes sure I can get in fast when I need to and is always the kindest person and most welcoming. Fast, friendly and courteous check in via telephone. The doctor was very thorough; my boy had a cyst on his head and a skin rash. I was very happy with the advice and recommendations, Skipper is doing much better and his rash is almost gone. Brought Skipper in for a follow up appointment because his “rash” started to spread. A scraping of his skin was viewed under microscope and it was determined he has a bacterial skin infection. He was prescribed antibiotics and Apoquel and he is already feeling much better.

Been going to this Veterinarian since 1974 & I am still going to Island Animal Hospital as long as I have Animals! They are thorough, enthusiastic, caring, and extremely phenomenal people to entrust my Pets with their Lives! I have found the place I need for my Family Pets (who are treated as my Family Members! Why go anywhere else?!?

I have been going to the Viera location up until I switched to Merritt Island. I just had my first appointment at the Merritt Island location Sunday morning. The doctor ( Chelsea Jurczenko was very pleasant and kind along with the tech (Sam). I asked for a nail trim at the end of our visit which was no issue.. Our tech was away for 45 seconds if that. so I know she did not have to use the drill and my dog doesnt resist... I noticed my bill the $14.60 Nail Trim Routine (TechI have always had that covered under the (Annual Physical Examwhich was also on my bill... I called today and spoke with a Tristen and they said they do not do that at this location and shes never heard of that falling under the annual... I can eat the money but its more the principle for me that I have spent so much money so far and I just felt it was tagged on the bill and I am suppose to just understand this location charges but Viera never has......

Everyone Ive met here has been friendly and kind to me and my dogs, Emma, Sammy and Bo. Dr Brady detected my Emmas cancer and I got 4 extra months with her. Four very special months. And when the end came Dr Burnett gently eased her suffering. Its hard to love our pets so much when we know we will probably have to let them go. But we love them anyway....💔 And I believe the people at this clinic also love the animals for whom they provide care.

Wonderful caring people . I brought in my two Labradors/cows. They took their time, and had great patience with them.Island Animal Hospital is truly a 5 star operation.

Great staff!! Doctor gave great personalized service and spent a lot of time with us talking about our dog. We did not feel rushed at all. Very pleasant experience and we love our vet!!

I left my vet after 16 years and changed to island Vet. Everyone is so helpful, cheerful and always greets you with a smile. The fact that they are open weekends is a great benefit too.I have not looked back after the change.

When our veterinary clinic wasnt able to see our cat for a fairly serious condition, we called Island Animal Hospital and they were able to see him within hours of calling and the care was exceptional. Definitely will return with our pets. Extremely caring and friendly staff.

I can’t say enough about this animal hospital! They are kind, compassionate, loving of animals, and the love you each patient is clear. The animals come first. Moving to the space coast 5 years ago my priority was finding my cat the best care like she had in Ny. After searching a year this place came highly recommended. Even after loosing my kitty to kidney disease they have treated my new babies with love and the best care available. The fact they are open on weekends is even better incase of sickness. Will never go to another vet. They will see all my fur kids as long as I’m in Florida

We adopted both Jambo and Luna and this was our first time taking them for a checkup. Making the appointment was easy. Person on the phone was very helpful . When we arrived, a few minutes late because Luna did not want to get in the carrier. We marked at a numbered spot and called say we were here with Jambo and Luna. In just a few minutes someone came out to help us bring them inside..we were both so impressed with the gentleness and kindness shown to our cats. I think they behaved well because they felt safe. The Veterinarian was equally kind and answered all our questions. Thank you so much!!!

Every doctor/every staff member has been AWESOME! They take such wonderful care of our 3 pups! There is no doubt in my mind that everyone at Island Animal Hospital works there because they truly love animals. I highly recommend Island Animal Hospital! Not only are they fantastic with our pups, they’re also open 7 days a week which is so very helpful as well.

I have nothing but the best to say about the staff and facilities at Island Animal Hospital.. Since moving to Merritt island, I’ve had a medical emergency for one of my two dogs and extensive treatment for my cat. The care and compassion from the staff is unbeatable. There’s no price on confidence in veterinary know how and professionalism. Look no more!

Sitting in the comfort of your own auto while waiting for your appointment time wasnt bad at all. They have a little grassy area you can walk your pets, and they can socialize. Staff was very polite, assured me of every step they were taking. I felt comfortable that they took Isla to the back to have her nails clipped. They answered all my questions, I wouldnt hesitate to continue going there.

We have been taking our little girl here for years and absolutely love the care and attention they give her. Everyone here obviously loves their jobs and all of our furry companions!! Thank you for another year of exceptional love and service to Patches 🐾

This was a great experience overall! I made an appointment request online and they were really accommodating. My dog was experiencing some issues on his skin and both the vet tech and vet were very informative on how to help. Will come back!

This place is amazing. I called bc my kitten was puking. They offered me an appt but then offered me one even sooner as a work in. The office was clean and even smelled very clean. The staff was extremely professional and explained every thing in detail. My kitten had to have surgery bc she had something lodged in her intestines. While in there they realizes she had a hernia that they repaired and even offered to spay her while she was already under so she didn’t have to undergo another procedure later. The doc who performed the surgery called and updated me several times. The staff actually followed up a few more times After her surgery and even sent a welcoming card. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who prefers a caring office that treats your fur babies with so much compassion. Thank you all again!

The Staff at Island Animal Hospital were wonderful.We are new residents on Merritt Island from another State.My 3 year old Beagle , Chloe, was given much love ,lots of kisses, and treats.The Vet spent time with Chloe before he gave her a complete exam.He and was very gentle and kind to my Chloe.I feel very blessed that I chose Island Animal Hospital and feel that my Chloe will receive wonderful care.

I had a great experience here, everyone was so friendly and compassionate. I was on vacation and my puppy split her toenail so I made an appointment for her and was of course a bit nervous being out of town and not seeing our regular vet, but the whole experience was wonderful. Highly recommended, if I lived here this would definitely be the veterinarian practice for our baby!

I have been taking my dogs to Island Animal for about 30 years. They have always been very good to my fur babies. This time my baby was like an emergency and they were working me in. They took him back in about 15 minutes and took care of him and gave us his meds, estimates and talked with us to make sure we understood. Once again, their service was excellent! Wonderful experience during a scary time. Our pup was very sick and while other vets were closed or couldn’t get us in for days, Island Animal Hospital had our backs. They were all so kind, patient, & informative. Forever grateful for helping us “pup parents” feel at ease & getting our pup back to normal asap.

We have lost 3 pets. We appreciate the kindness from all the staff. We appreciate the cards sent to us each time. and how sorry they are for us. I personally appreciated the time the Dr took to explained to me the process in how to let my baby girl go to kitty heaven.

My 16 year old dog had a sore appear on his leg after his morning walk that we can only assume was a spider bite. Within 12 hrs his entire back leg was swollen and he went from active and playful to lethargic and weak. His primary vet where he goes for shots and flea and heartworm preventative said they werent equipped to treat him so I called around to numerous vets trying to find anyone to admit him and because it was the weekend everything was either closed or fully booked and werent able to see him. One of them recommended calling Island animal hospital and thank goodness for them! They were amazing! From the receptionist that initially took my call, to the doctor that treated him and every staff member I met (there were over half a dozen), they were all extremely professional, friendly, caring and attentive! By the time I reached the hospital his health had deteriorated to the point that he was almost non-responsive. Basically an 80lb ragdoll too weak to move, just shallow breathing and a shiver-like tremor that came over him. It was so distressing! They helped me get him inside from the vehicle and began doing blood work and treatment almost immediately. The doctor and vet tech discussed medication and a treatment plan and went over all of the expenses with me to help me make a decision that I could afford. I decided to go with a slightly more expensive injectable medication instead of trying to struggle with giving him pills at home. They administered the shot, gave me multiple other oral and topical treatments and we went home to wait. Two days later, he has improved tremendously!! Hes still moving slowly and not 100% but hes up and eating and wagging his tail and able to do his morning walk around the whole neighborhood again! The swelling is at a fraction of what it was and Im convinced hes going to make a full recovery! Im so grateful for everyone there! They were absolutely wonderful and they saved my dogs life! Thank you all a million times over!!! Im sorry I dont remember all of your names individually but it was a very stressful time! Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!

The staff at Island Animal Hospital have gone above and beyond with Bomber. He had surgery on his leg from a cancerous tumor and they handled it and him in such a compassionate way. They used medicinal honey on his incision when his sutures opened up. I love that they didn’t want to put him through anything that would stress him out. The vets there are very knowledgeable and are dedicated to your pet.

My dog was not feeling well and when I took him to get examined he was attended to immediately. Because of the reliable and caring staff my dog is now home with me and feeling much better. So very grateful for you all!

I recently moved to Merritt Island and needed a new veterinarian and I found Island Animal Hospital back in February 2021Its a beautiful facility and although the 1st time I was inside due to covid they seem to have a wonderful team of staff as well.My Furbaby of 13 years had an injury during our move and my old vet had him on an anti inflammatory medicine supposedly for the rest of his life, well it caused him bad stomach issues he was vomiting blood and diarrhea bloodThis was when I found Island Animal hospital and they took such great care of my baby, they kept him overnight, he was dehydrated.They helped me over a few months to get him back on track.Now hes having trouble with teeth and needs them pulled, we have to wait for him to see the cardiologist because of heart issues but I am trusting them to take great care of my baby.My only issue is how long I am having to wait for the different appointments when my baby is in so much pain. I understand its holidays but hes in pain and I hate hearing him cry, but they are being very understanding of my anxiety and help everytime I call about something.

I took my dog in to see Dr. Corish for a second opinion and surgical consult. I could tell he had the best interest of my dog at heart. He declined to do the surgery himself referring my dog to a specialty surgeon instead. If I did not already have a wonderful primary care veterinarian I would move my dogs to Island Animal Hospital.

The staff at Island animal hospital was excellent. They were very caring to our pet and took a lot of time to explain all the options. They were very thoughtful in handling of a difficult situation. Dr. Bell was thorough and compassionate.

Took a very sick cat in for treatment as a new patient. Our experience at this office was exemplary. From the tech that took us in to the office to the check out process- very caring, empathetic and professional. Questions were answered in a caring manner. Doctor Brady and Dr Bell were very responsive and communicative through surgery until I picked up my car. Highly recommend this practice. Won’t go anywhere else with my animals!

Every staff member I have interacted with has been phenomenal with my new puppy. Dr Bell was a dream and we are so happy to have him as a vet. He takes his time and answers all my overly concerned new mom questions. Its been a long time since I have had a young puppy, and everyone here has been fantastic at helping me. We took our pup there the day after we got her, through all her puppy checkups and vaccinations. She is now 5 months old. We are moving soon and I am devastated we will no longer be able to go to IAH.

I recently switched to this clinic after years at another clinic in town. I was BLOWN away with the care my dog and I received. From the very friendly receptionist, the patient and friendly vet tech, Amber, and Dr.Brady. They took so much time with us and explained everything in detail. My dog has been battling an infection for months and within ONE visit here they provided a new form of treatment and I can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. I will recommend this place over and over to anyone that will listen to me.

I am so happy that I found a wonderful veterinarian facility! From the moment I called and a caring person responded, through the time my older dog was seen by a knowledgeable Vet, everyone of the staff was caring and kind! They all listened, and were upfront with costs of care. The facility was immaculate! They were extremely professional!

There are many Island Animal locations, weve been to 2 of them. The doctors and staff at the Merritt Island location are amazing!!! Friendly, cooperative, informative. The doctor and techs are extremely friendly and truly care. It feels as if youre visiting old friends! Its very refreshing to have so much peace about your pets doctor, just knowing that our doodles are getting the best care! Dr. Bell is amazing!!!!

We always receive great care for our dogs here. The staff is kind, professional and thorough. The doctors do a good job of communicating and listening. I appreciate that they value my input and we make decisions as a team when treating our dogs. Their weekend hours are so extremely helpful and important. I really appreciate that.
